"Not really. This has happened before right? Some sort of crazy stalker killing friends and family? From the display in there I'd say he's like a kid trying to get your attention. Or maybe he's a family enemy, someone you've managed to cross in the past." Blake was talking sort of fast, and once he realized it he slowed himself down. "I'm also fairly sure you're afraid to tell me because you don't want one more person getting sucked into this murderous vortex you've gotten trapped in, that and it was your 'Marm's' wish to keep it private and you want to respect that even when she's dead." His smiled dimmed a little. "Sorry, I'm not trying to upset you."

She overflowed completely, letting out another breath that sounded too large to be contained in her small frame. "And also, that laugh is the same. Blake nodded. Her story was pretty similar to one of the many he'd had rolling around in his head. Some responses came to mind, but it was decency and logic that made him keep his mouth shut. She knew good and well that this person was dangerous and that even she wouldn't be safe for long. There was nothing he could really say for comfort either. All that was left was to listen to her pour her heart out, and once she did he made her an offer.
"If you don't want to call the police. I know someone that can clean up this mess." Blake's tone was cold and grim. He couldn't believe he was even thinking this, much less suggesting it.

"No!" Linali replied at once, looking shocked. "Well, I, umm... I've already pressed the panic button." She spoke sheepishly. "Theres one in the room back there and I... I hit it before I came out without thinking. Also..." She paused, suddenly standing up slightly straighter, brow furrowed. "I-I want to do this properly. No more hiding. I cant afford to be sc-scared." Despite the fact that she was obviously terrified, she was putting up an impressive front, considering the situation and her general nature.
"They'll probably be here soon..."

Blake smiled, and this time it was a real one. He hadn't a clue as to why he was so proud of a girl he'd only met a few times in passing and even bothered to talk to today. It must have been just another part of her nature to make even total strangers care about her wellbeing. Blake always had a problem dealing with women like that. At least she didn't abuse the power.
"Good. How about I get us a pop while we wait?" What he really wanted was scotch, but getting some would require leaving the building, and that would be a bad idea.

Linali pinched her nose bridge, feeling significantly less stressed now she'd blurted out everything. She still had a niggling feeling in her stomach, but nothing too serious, yet this grew once again as she heard the sirens blaring outside.

When Blake returned with the drinks and place was already crawling with cops. It took him a minute to pinpoint where Lin was in the mess. He ignored the officers that attempted to stop him from approaching her.
"I have cherry, grape, and pineapple. I didn't know what you liked, but I figured it should be fruity so a got all three." The neck of each chilled bottle was being held between a finger on his left hand, which he extended towards her with a big bright smile on his face.

Linali, whose mouth was already comparative to the sahara desert after gabbing the same information to the policemen repeatedly (the fact that so many of the studio staff kept tryingto contact her didn't help either), was exceptionally glad to see Blake return with the drinks.
As soon as she spotted the can decorated with the pineapple image, her reaction was that of a firework. One of her best talents, after all, was to spring back into happyland with a vengance.
"OOOOO! PINEAPPLE PINEAPPLE PINEAPPLE!" She squealed, making two cops near her jump in surprise at the outburst as she did a bizarre little mincing movement of both relief and joy.

Blake handed her the pineapple, being happy that she didn't pick cherry, and then held the grape out to the officer who'd been questioning her. The officer gave him a confused stare which he took to mean 'No thank you, sir. Though I appreciate the thought.' Blake shrugged and sat it down next to Lin in case she wanted it and popped open his cherry.

Blake finished his drink in record time too. Of course it wasn't as fast as normal since the soda had a lot of bubbles making his throat tingle as it went down instead of the familiar burn.
"You want me to fetch something to eat, Ms. Blake?" Judging by the glitter in his eyes when he asked, he was teetering on the borderline of fanboyness. This was really the first chance he'd gotten to realize he was on the set of one of his favorite shows with the star of it standing right in front of him. He tried to salvage his pride by adding "I was thinking about raiding the snack machine."

"Right, of course not." Blake shifted his focus over anything else that was moving. "Well I'm going to get something then." He was about to wander off again when one of the officers decided he needed to be questioned as well.
"I'm just the chauffeur, sir." He replied tartly and tries to brush past him, but he was easily stopped by the large man's arm. "Oh, so this is how it's going to be, is it?" He looked up into the officer's face with mild annoyance.

Edan walked into the house, and threw his keys onto the hall table. He'd stopped off on the way to get yet another Subway sandwich and had a heated argument of the life changing angle in which the cheese was placed on the bread. God, being a nuisence was so fun.

The lights weren't on, so Scarlet wasn't home obviously. He opened the press to throw his shoes into it, and was skulled viciously by Biscuits, Linali's overly sized teddy bear. Ha, her way of getting back at him in a way. He flicked on the living room lights, and lay down on the sofa. Using his arms as a pillow since the stupid pillows that Scarlet bought in the one quid shop irritated his skin, he drifted into a sound sleep.

Klavier was bopping his head to the upbeat dance tunes being played in the club. "First time in a strip club, Big Brow? You seem tense!" he chided, taking a sip of his Steinhauser. "Say...Sind sie gay? You seem very frightened of das Frauens in here..."

Linali had to do a double take when the officer questioning her sneakily passed her a pad and requested that she sign it, and make it out to 'Dave'. His apparent 'son'.
She nearly laughed out loud despite herself.

Linali was exhausted. She'd spent the most of the night answering the same questions, repeating the same things, watching the same clock. She'd had about 3 hours sleep in total, yet she was determined not to let the recent events ruin her routine. It was only a matter of time before the media would broadcast the crime and god knows what else; so she was going to enjoy the relevant peace while it lasted. The wind whipping against her face helped to keep her attached to reality, but she was still only really half awake, squinting through her goggles.
She was wearing trousers tucked into boots today, a rare occurance for her. She also was wearing a small padded jacket, another rare occurance. Her hair was pulled into two large curls either side of her head, like pigtails, to prevent it from obscuring her vision even more than it already was bloody obscured. Of course, the strangest thing about the whole ensemble was that she was riding a heavy duty motorcycle.
She'd picked it up from the studio car park last night; she'd completely forgotten where she'd left it, and was overjoyed to see her pride and joy once again. It also was making the journey to the Prosecutor's office far less painful.
She hummed to herself, the sound getting lost with the rush of air, then stiffened.
THE LIGHTS ARE RED!
Clenching her hand into a tight fist to clamp down on the brake, she screeched to a halt just in time, and stared blankly at the terrified man in front of her.
"... Sorry."
"Wh- Whu-" Apollo was clutching his heaving chest. It felt as though his PASSIONATE HEART BURNING RED had just stopped for a second.

Klavier had just pulled into the Prosecutor's office himself, and was taking of his helmet when he heard Linali's motorcycle loudly pulling in. Watching her turn sharply before the wall made him smile. She eventually parked next to him and took her helmet off, amazingly keeping the curls intact.

Blake woke up in yet another dull haze. He'd gone on a bit of a binge after the police business and once again found himself unable to remember the name of, or ever meeting for that matter, the woman in his bed. She was still asleep as he used the restroom and got dressed. He spent a few minutes looking for his hat, then grunted when he remember he'd lost it. He'd have to get another one today. Blake left without a single goodbye to the stranger snoozing in his apartment.

The sun beat against his brain in a slow thumping rhythm. He hadn't thought about getting in his car. He'd only had it a week, so he was still getting used to not walking everywhere. He was on his way to the hat store when his cellphone went off.
"Hello?" His voice was course and guttural. "Yes, it is." He cleared his throat a little, but it didn't do much good. "I'm not taking any new clients right now." He grunted and snapped the phone shut. It rang again, but he didn't bother to answer it. "I want this one." He grabbed a fedora and set it on his head. It was just by chance that it fit perfectly.

Linali nearly fell off the motorcycle when she got off, and kicked the stand a bit grumpily, balancing her helmet on the handlebars.

Blake wasn't really spending much time thinking that day, so when he found himself outside the courthouse he was a little perturbed. He'd been doing so much work there that he'd walked to the place purely out of habit. Of course sitting in on a trial or two couldn't hurt since he was already there. The little gray cloud continued to loom over his head even as he stepped into the lobby. He took the silver canteen from his pocket, had a swig, and then plastered on his big white smile. After all, there was no point in anyone else knowing he felt like dog crap stuck under someone's shoe.

Edan was fucking fuming. He'd just been going out to get a sandwich, and the police jumped him in Subway of all places. What the fuck?! He wouldn't be able to get a Meatball Marinara out of the place now without been interrogated. There was no one worth watching that morning, which left Blake just a little more grumpy than he'd started. The thought buzzed through the grog that maybe he should go see if Mr. Gavin had work for him, but that would require finding the man, which he just wasn't in the mood for. Nor did he want to sit and listen to the man go on a half german spiel about his last gig for two hours.

Scarlet gazed out of the window during her break, watching the clouds with an idle expression. The street outside was hectic; possibly due to the Christmas rush or something equally unappealing. She didn't really understand people's enthusiasm for the holiday; or more specifically, why non-Christians celebrated it.
It was just another excuse to recieve, she supposed.
Picking at a burn on the sleeve of her uniform, she sat down at one of the tables inside the cafe, wondering what her siblings were up to.

The door jingled as Blake wandered in, the haze of that morning still looming over his head. His stomach had finally settled enough to get some breakfast, and this was the only place in in walking distance that he hadn't tried yet. The second he seated himself he let his face slam into the table and his hat flipped off his head. He had no intentions of sitting back up until a waitress arrived to take his order.

She stood up grudgingly and flicked out her little notepad and pen (of which was hideously disfigured from her gnawing at the end) and drawled slowly,

Blake had his arms folded over his head, so his words were muffled the first time. Then he forcibly sat up and turned to face the waitress. His eyes went from sleepy to seriously afraid in about two seconds. He even jumped in his seat some.
With a soft sight and a pinch of the nose he composed himself.
"Uh, do you have any eggs?" He asked.

Scarlet didn't seem to hear him. A grin slowly spread across her face, which suddenly looked much more animated and somewhat disturbing.

Apparently, she was far more perceptive than she seemed to be.

"R-right." Blake cleared his throat again. "Sunnyside up, please. With bacon and toast." He picked his hat off the table and put it back on so that she couldn't see his face, but more importantly he couldn't see hers. "And some strawberry jam if you got it." He added with newly returned confidence in his voice.
