Kathie nodded, biting her lip grimly. Aviv's wound looked pretty serious. "Okay," she whispered, "Play dead. You'll lose some blood but I think you'll survive." She turned to face Nero, Dante, and Nat. Kathie knew she couldn't win, but she probably wouldn't die either.

Nathaniel, who seemed to be ignored by all of those in the Arena, was merely watching the spectacle that was being shown, now with Aviv being shot in the gut. As this happened, Nathaniel was on the verge of finishing a spell that was particularly difficult for him to use, the Iron Skin Enhancer, in which he used the bark of his staff to create a sort of body armor out of his skin, and only had a few more moments until it would be completed.

It appears I have started a roleplay called A World of Super Humans. You should join it.

"Aviv!" Kathie blurted. She couldn't bare to see what was happening. She grabed Nero, throwing him with all her might at Dante, this time ignoring the pain in her shoulder. She then kicked the ground so hard that a huge cloud of dust rose from it, blocking everyone's vision temporarily. She used that opportunity to pull Aviv by the corner. "Sorry about this, but if you can't fight..." She knocked Aviv unconcious with a blow to the head. "...then you won't get killed." She quickly tore her sleeve off her injured arm, wrapping it around his midsection. "I'm sorry," she said, "that I couldn't protect you." She saw the dust clear aroud her.

(Well, Aviv's out.) Dante jumped up and Nero hit the ground hard. "Fight fair," Dante said with a smirk. The Arena wind carried Aviv out, as he was unable to fight. Nero stood and faced Nat. He charged, sword ready, and Dante did as well, rushing Katie and throwing his sword ahead of him.

Kathie realized, at the worst possible time, that Dante had readied a punch, which landed square on her jaw. Kathie was sent to the ground, but knocked Dante over with a sharp kick to the back of his legs.

Kathie was sent pretty far by that kick. She was just glad she hadn't been kicked in the head. She punched the ground beneath her, making a large fissure to knock Dante over. She than grabbed a large chunk of rubble and hurled it at him. Kathie tried desperately to remember the Healing Touch. She started tracing a star shape into the ground with her index fingers.

Dante bounded up and thought quickly. She was doing something. He shot the ground around her hands so she would reflex up and ran to her, readying a destructive punch.

Kathie instinctively scrambled out of the way, tripping over herself... and tripping Dante too. They were both lying in a heap on the ground. Kathie saw the star on the ground hear her hand. She traced it as fast as she could, desperately trying to get the Healing Touch.

Kathie saw Dante's hand move in slow motion toward hers. She grinned, then spun around to knock Dante off of her. While he was in midair, she started punching him repeatedly. Remember, she thought to herself, the moment you lose focus is the moment it's over. She then kicked him away and charged at Nero.

Kathie grabbed Nero's shoulders and spun him around as fast as she could, like a top. Her shoulder flared in pain again, and Kathie became dizzy. No, she thought, A little longer... Kathie tried to attack Nat, but she was too weak and dazed, and fell to the ground. She felt her own sense of awareness fade, and wondered if she had overdone it.
((The HT is over, and Kathie is pretty weakened from it, I would think. After all, she's only used it once before.))

Dante groaned. What, was I hit by a truck?! Nero felt dizzy and struggled for balance. They looked at eachother and nodded, running around Kathie and Nat, shooting insanely.

Before she realized what was happening, Kathie was being barraged by a swarm of bullets. Time was slowing down, but not because she was using Healing Touch... Kathie knew that unless a miracle happened, she would die right there. She closed her eyes, too frightened to even make a sound.

Bullets seemed to rain on Nathaniel, as well as the other competitor, Kathie. " Not enough time... I'll have to use a quick one," Nathaniel murmured before uttering what seemed to be the words " Iron Bubble". Suddenly, a large gray-white bubble enveloped Nathaniel and Kathie, making all bullets that passed through it's barrier slow until they could only go about a few feet father before falling.

As soon as the bubble was punctured, a shock wave blew clouds of dust through the arena. Nathaniel then began to clutch his ears, as the repercussions for the bubble popping was temporary deafness. Now deaf, Nathaniel could only use the temporary short scrolls.

Kathie? he sat down, pulling the drain, forceps and sutures from his pocket. he sutured his wounds and headed back to the arena. he gave himself two shots to calm his vitals. I knew i'll need these one day... he laughed devilishly, walked behind Nero, and shoved his gun to Nero's mouth. "Guess who, asshole."
