Mia heard a distant rumble and hoped that she hadn't made a mistake in leaving Maya alone in the van. But Pearls and Larry as well as Phoenix were in here somewhere, and her first priority was to get them all out, alive. Thus the reason for blocking the cavern back shut. Mia shivered a little Geez, it's colder in here than I remember.

She continued along the corridor, every couple of seconds stopping to listen for any sounds of anybody. Occasionally she glanced down at the walkie talkie, hoping for something from Nick or Fransiska even. Something to let her know everything was okay with Nick...

Klavier grabbed his glass and downed it in an instant. He smacked his lips. "Ah....Thanks, bro!" He grinned devilishly. "It's never too early for a drink, ja?" Klavier leaned back in the chair, propping his feet upon his brother's desk, as he listened to the story of the Feys. "So, you're looking for a dead spirit medium's...er....Magatama?" He tilted his head to the left, and brought his hand to his mouth. "Interesting...." He chewed on his fingernail. He looked up, blue eyes sparkling. "Count me in."

Maya had to rub her eyes before she could glance out of the window again. She must be seeing things. Just outside the van was a girl who almost looks exactly like her! Could she be her evil twin Ayam?!

"Hello, I'm *pant pant* Ema Skye! *pant* Do you know a *pant* Phoenix Wright? *pant*"

"Huh?" Maya exclaimed. How does she know about Nick? Wait a minute, hasn't Nick started working with Sis as an assistance teacher? Yeah, that has to be it. This girl, Ema, must be one of his students. She made a note to herself to ask Nick when she gets a chance.

"Nick? Of course I know him!" she replied cheerfully. "He down there in that cavern and ran into some trouble..." she gasped. She nearly forgot about their situation. "...Oh no! Nick's in trouble and Sis has gone after him! Not to mention....Larry and...Pearly! Their still down there as well! I have to help them!" She tried to open the door, only to realize that Mia had activated the childlocks. "Phooey!" She glance at Ema, and at the tubes in her bag. Maya smiled as a plan began to form. "Say, is there anything in that bag of your that could help me get out of here?"

"Mr. Larry, I don't think this is the right way," Pearls said, biting her thumb.

"Come on, Pearl!" Larry said, offended by her. "I've got a natural sense of direction, and it's practically screaming at me to go this way!" He continued down the tunnel, with very little care until he ran face first into a dead end. "Hey, who put this stupid wall here?!"

Pearl lowered her head and sighed. She was beginning to worry about Mystic Maya. "I hope she alright," she told herself. But knew she shouldn't worry, began Mr. Nick would save her, no matter what. "Mr. Larry, I think we should have taken the other tunnel."

Larry scratched his head in confusion. "But my instincts told me that this was where we have to go. And we can't alter from here, or else Nick's gonna leave use behind!" Suddenly the tunnel shook from a massive explosion. Larry instinctively grabbed Pearl and shielded her from falling rubble. The rumbling subsided after a few minutes, Larry only suffering a few blows from small chunks.

Pearl opened her eyes, her hand shaking from the events. "T-Thank you, Mr. Larry." She said, clutching his hand.

Larry smiled, blushing. "Aw, don't mention it. I'd do anything for a pretty little girl." He glanced around. "Man, I wonder what cause that explosion." A smiled formed on his lips when he saw the dead end was no more, and light was streaming through the tunnel. "I knew my instincts would let us down! Come on Pearl, let's get out of here.

The pain of the lash caused Phoenix to recoil and drop to his knees. He saw the transmitter fall from Franziska's hands and crushed by her heels. His entire body went cold, as he heard the distance rumble of a detonation. No! His thoughts then came to the others. Mia, Larry, Pearls, Maya. He hoped that they were nowhere near the detonation. He could never forgive himself if that had happened.

A lash from Franziska's whip brought back to the present situation. Then another, and another. The last lash cause him to drop his whip as he stuggled to keep upright. He felt something warm on his chin, and knew the whip had cut a gash there, blood seeping from the wound.

Mia...just get everyone out of here, I beg of you.

"Excellent," Kristoph smiled. "You'll be heading out to a place called Hazakura Temple. It's own by one of the branch members of the Fey Clan. I'll need you to found out what they know about the Magatama and report back to me. Oh..." he pulled out a file with a photo in the corner. "You'll also be partnered with Mr. Justice. You are familiar with him, are you not. He's a student in one of my classes. Not so bright, but with a remarkable amount of enthusiams. It would do him some good to have some hands on experience."

Klavier's eyes glittered. "Hazakura Temple? Sounds awesome, bro!" He smiled when he saw Apollo's picture. "Ah....Herr Forehead, eh?" He laughed sharply. "I promise I won't tease him too much, ja?" He laughed again, shaking his head. "Herr Forehead....Never expected to be working with him!"

"Trouble?" Ema exclaimed, worried for Phoenix's life. "Sis? Larry? Pearly? Sounds like a full cave..." Ema almost began pondering this, but managed to keep her focus on the strange girl in the car.

Ema glared at her scientific supplies. "Something in my bag? Hmm..." Rifling through numerous chemical beakers, she picked out a green liquid and a translucent blue liquid, both in wavy containers. "Sure! I'll get you out in a jiffy! I'll use my new experimental mixture, Hydroxyacelunodosetrase!" Gripping the two bottles tightly, Ema stepped back and began mizzing the containers in a barrage of smoke, color and sound. Soon, the mixture was complete, and she ran closer to the car.

She began tipping the beaker near the car when she realized she forgot something. "Oh, this is kind of corrosive, so you may want to take a few steps back." Once all was clear inside the car, Ema poured the beaker's contents onto the car door, evaporating it into vapor and metal paste. "All clear!" she shouted enthusiastcally, taking a few steps back. "Hop on out!"

((Well, right now I'd consider it to be off limits for pairings, unless whoever signs up for Apollo is all right with it. Incidently, all open characters with be played by me until the roles are filled))

Kristoph smiled, pleased with his brother's enthusiams. This will work out better than he hoped. "I better call in Mr. Justice and tell him the news, then." He activated the entercom to his secretary. "Ms. Cadaverini, could you please send Mr. Justice in?"

"Of course...sir. Hee...hee....hee..." was the replied. A few minutes later, a young boy, about 15 years in age came into the office, his arms filled with towering text books. The only thing the books did not cover were two quill like strands of hair, shot backwards and defying gravity.

"Mr. Gavin, sir," he replied, straining under the weight of the books. "You call for me?"

"Yes, I did," Kristoph replied. "Please, set those books down anywhere and have a seat."

"Thank you, sir!" Apollo replied and placed them as gently as he could down by one of the seat. Once his view was clear did he notice Klavier was in the room. "Ack! Mr. Gavin! You never said that Klavier was going to be here also!"

"Wow!" Maya exclaimed in astonishment as she lepted over what was left of the car door. "That is some powerful stuff, that Hydroyadayadayadawhatzits stuff!" She glanced back at the van, and felt a little guilty. "I hope Larry won't be too peeved by what we done to his van." Brushing away that thought. "Anyway, we better get into that cave and save Nick and everyone else. Are you with me?!" She held out her hand, waiting for Ema to take it.

'Larry's van?' Ema thought, biting her lip in guilt. She quikly got over it when the promise of adventure arouse. "Yes! Ema Skye, to the rescue!" Ema's hand flew out and grasped Maya's, at that point already beginning to run into the cave. "So do we know where they went?"

((Hmm... he could wander into the cave as well, looking for Edgeworth. I'm not sure how he would come in right now either))

Mia continued down the tunnel. *step step step* Pause. Listen for Pearls, Larry, or Phoenix. *step step step* Pause. Listen.
This time there was the sound of a whip. Mia perked up. Fransiska? Phoenix? Maybe Edgeworth? Mia didn't have a whip, she had a shovel. If she was the only unarmed one in there, there would be trouble, she knew it.

Mia quietly poked her head around the corner. She saw Phoenix on the ground, bleeding, and Fransiska and Edgeworth (she presumed) standing around him with their backs to her. Nick's whip was on the ground a couple steps from where Mia was standing. Mia pulled herself back around the corner.

Hmm... what to do what to do... Mia tried to think of something fast. She quickly looked around the corner again. They were still standing there, Phoenix's whip all but forgotten. Mia set down the shovel quietly, and then tried to reach for the whip. Her reach was about two feet short. She scooted forward a little. Six inches too short. She scooted back around the corner quickly and picked up the shovel. She stood up again, brushing the dirt off herself.

She looked in the chamber again, and then just walked in and picked up the whip. She smiled at Nick and gave him a thumbs up before backing quickly out again.

((BHX, you could have Gumshoe run into Maya and Ema, who are at this moment inside the cave searching for Phoenix and the others. Or you could have a run in with Larry and Pearls who just got outside.))

Phoenix glared up at Franziska, his right hand covering his mouth to stop the bleeding. Something caught the corner of his, causing his eye to dart pass the whip-armed lady. His eyes widen and he nearly sighed with relief. He saw Mia, silently drifting through the room and grabbed his whip. She smiled and gave him a thumbs up before backing out of sight once more.

She's all right, Phoenix thought. So the others must be as well.

"Now, Mr. Phoenix Wright," Franziska spoke, bringing Phoenix's attention back to the task at hand." are you going to show ME where the magatama is, or should I go find your friends and try and persuade them?"

"I'm afraid," Edgeworth added, "although it pains me to, I must agree. Where is the magatama?" The gun was now leveled at Phoenix's head.

Phoenix began to stand, making it look like he's stumbling toward Edgeworth, before staring his former comrade in the eye. "I hate to say this, Edgey....but the Magatama is not here." Before Edgeworth had time to react, Phoenix swung in with a right hook right at Edgeworth's jaw. He then tried to wrestle the gun away from him. "Mia, NOW!" He shouted.

"Well," Maya began. "My sis went to try and find Nick, so I'm sure we'll be able to find both of them. Pearly or Larry, they were both with Nick so I'm sure we can find all of them together!" Maya then began to wonder, were there more bad guys there for them to worry about? Well, if they were, they would have to face the wrath of her powerful Maya Kick! "Just be ready for trouble if we find any, okay?"

"Indeed," Kristoph replied, pushing the rims of his glasses back up to his bridge. "Mr. Justice, I'd like you to know, I'm currently funding an excavation for a sacred artifact known as the Magatama of Ami Fey. I'm sure you are well aware of the history, am I correct?"

"Yes sir," Apollo stated with enthusiasm. "I've read over Dr. Wright's and Ms. Fey's research reports nearly three hundred and fourty two times!"

"Well, I've located an area that holds valuable information of the sacred artifact, and need someone to go there and retreive it. And that is why I ask you, Mr. Justice. Will you be my representative for this treck?"

"Would I!?" Apollo shouted, but regain his conformity. "Ahem, of course I will, Mr. Gavin. It would be an honor."

"Wonderful," Kristoph say. "I'm also sending my brother, Klavier, with you to help you in any way possible."

"Oh.....great," Apollo stated with less enthusiam.

Mia held the whip in her hands gently. It had been several years since she had held one in her hands. She played with it a bit. Tight, loose. Tight, loose. She listened as Franziska threatened Phoenix, and she almost wanted to teach the child the true meaning of foolish right then and there.

But she waited. Tight, loose. Tight, loose.

Edgeworth said something as well. Mia poked her head back around the corner quickly. Phoenix was getting up. Mia got up as well. No need to be caught off guard She thought.

"I hate to say this, Edgey....but the Magatama is not here." Phoenix said. Mia's eyes went wide as she watched Phoenix Nail Edgeworth with a blow to the jaw. "Mia, NOW!" He shouted.

Mia came into the chamber again, this time not worrying a bit about being quiet. The whip lashed out and grabbed Franziska's wrist expertly. Mia jerked back on the whip, causing the girl to fall to the ground. Mia ran closer to the trio and pulled the shovel out of it's handy storage slot on her backpack. She held it in front of her like a sword and called out to Nick.

"Phoenix! Come on!! We need to get out of here! The cavern won't hold much pressure, somebody's set up explosives."

Gumshoe had finally found his way back to the main passage after setting up the explosives Franziska von Karma had ordered him to place, "Argh this place is like a giant maze, can't believe the original passage i took caved in." Gumshoe looked around for a second, "I wonder where Mr. Edgeworth and Ms.von Karma are at?" All of a sudden Gumshoe noticed a pair running down the tunnel towards him. The shapes started to take the shape of two small girlish figures.

"All together?" Ema asked, perky as ever, "That's convenient! We'll have them all rescued in no time!" Scanning the cave with her eyes, Maya continued with a warning. "Trouble?" Ema became a little worried. She wanted to write it off as scientific impossibility, but in reality, it wasn't. "What kind of trouble?" If one was listening very closely, they could detect a slight shudder in Ema's voice. Her muscles tensed, squeezing tight against Maya's hand, and she began scanning the cave more rapidly, making sure that if there was any chance of danger, she would know.

Her situation wasn't helped, however, by the appearance of a tall man in a dark green coat not far in front of them. Ema couldn't quite make out the figure, but she knew he could hurt her if he tried. She stopped walking when she saw him, pulling on Maya's arm to do the same. "Back off!" she yelled, sticking her hand in her handbag. "I have selenic acid and I'm not afraid to use it!"

"Aah!" Franziska fell to the ground and clutched her wrist in pain. She pulled yet another walkie-talkie from her pocket. "Scruffy! If your foolishly foolish foolishness has managed to set up the explosives, detonate them now!" she hissed. She sprang up and knocked Mia's shovel away from her. "I hate to ruin your little party, Ms. Mia Fey." She grabbed Mia's arm and twisted it behind her. "But you're coming with me. If the magatama isn't here, you must know where it is." She started down the tunnel, pushing Mia ahead of her.

A scream from Gumshoes coat pocket was like a lash of of a whip to his brain. Forgetting about the 2 young girls for that moment, Gumshoes hand flew into his pocket and he hit the detonator.

Apparently, the man, who Ema could now see had a deep 5 o'clock shadow and was very muscular, hadn't heard her. She couldn't tell if she should be grateful or afraid. Still torn between emotions, she loosened her grip on her bag but tightened her grip on Maya's hand. The desicion was quickly made for her when she heard a faint, angry voice shout something about detonating explosives.

Heart pounding, she knew she had to make a judgment call. 'Is he suicidal? Is he going to bring the whole cave down? What about Mr. Wright?' "HEY! STOP!" Surrendering Maya's grip, she reached into her pocket and grabbed a small vial of Oleoresin Capsicum ((pepper spray)). Plan still forming in her head, she sprinted forward.

Before Gumshoe had set off the detonator heard one of the girls he had nearly forgotten about yell and start rushing towards him with something in her hand, he let go of the detonator in his pocket. Gumshoe then lunged at the girl running towards him grabbing the shoulder of her clothes and the arm carrying the item. "Hey! What do you think your doing pulling a weapon on someone?!?!" Upon getting closer look, "Wait a sec that isn't a weapon.... i think?"

Mia was taken by surprise when the shovel was knocked from her hands. "Wha-?" She wasn't given time to react however, as the German girl twisted her arm back behind her back. "Ow! Franziska!! Let go of me this instant!!" Mia said without thinking. Oh god... that sounded like my aunt. She realized with horror. "Franziska!!" Mia looked at Phoenix's whip laying on the ground now.Damn it. If only I hadn't dropped that...

Now running on pure adrenaline, Ema closed her eyes and sprinted forwards, bottle of pepper spray in hand. When she knew she was close, she tried to jump him, bu the man already had her off the ground. Naturally, she kicked and screamed. "Let go of me you creep!" she said, until she got a good look at the man. "Gumshoe? Is that you?" She stopped kicking, and put her bottle of pepper spray back in her bag. "No, it's no weapon. Just some girls stuff. Oleoresin Capsicum, to be exact."

Remembering what she rushed him for, she glared. "What are you doing around here, triggering explosives? Someone could get hurt!" Her words were harsh, her tone unforgiving. "Now let go! And let go of the detonator!"

Franziska yelled, the anger rising in her voice. Who did this American woman think she was? They were all like this, rude and uncooperative from the minute she arrived here. She had almost fallen once when Mia had stopped moving, but continued pushing her forward. "I think you will start talking. You might be able to prevent certain things from happening, if you, what is it you say, catch my drift?"

Edgeworth got up, rubbing his jaw.
" Hmmm... hmph." He leapt, knocking Phoenix to the ground before letting loose a few punches. Phoenix retaliated. Before long it was a full blown brawl.
"Franziska..." THUD. "Find..." THUMP. "Magatama!" SMACK. That was alll that could be heard.

After listening to young girl speak, Gumshoe finally recognized the voice and face of Lana Skye's younger sister. He let go of her, :sadshoe:

"Hey, hold it, don't go making me the bad guy. The explosives are set up not to affect the main passage at all, and I'm sure Ms.von Karma and wouldn't tell me to detonate if her and Mr.Edgeworth weren't in a safe location." Gumshoe said this not even thinking about the fact that there could be others in the old cave. :eh?:

"Wait a sec, why would Ms.von Karma tell me to detonate if she herself has a detonator.... and one more thing, What the heck are a couple of young girls doing in a place like this?!?!"

"Mr. Edgeworth?!" Maya asked at the same time, yet with more horror than delight. "You mean Nick rival?! And Ms. von Karma's here also?!" This IS bad. Those two have alway been out to get Nick, and now, they have him. Not to mention Gumshoe was the one who set up the detonations.

"Gumshoe!" Maya shouted, her cheeks puffed up in anger. "Don't you realize what your doing?! Nick, my sis, Pearly, Larry....Their all in here somewhere!! If you set off that charge, they'll get crushed by the cave in!"

Phoenix was too preoccupied with Edgeworth to answer Mia, as the two continued to exchange blow after blow. He managed to sling the gun out of Edgeworth's grip, which now laid broken on the side. He landed a right blow to the side of Edgeworth's head, then scrambled to his feet. He wasn't about to let them take Mia. He rushed towards then, grabbing his whip and slinging it back.

*Kur-rack!*

He lashed out toward Franziska, wrapping the whip around her left arm to pull her away from Mia. "Let go of her, right now!" He shouted angrily.

"OBJECTION!!!" The shout could be heard throughout the entire cave. But it wasn't a voice anyone recognized. Laela Botamy, ex-attorney, had shouted that in spite of herself. "Stop fighting! All of you!" She hated it when people fought. "I don't know why you guys are fighting, but I'm sure it can be resolved with words, not with fists!"

"Oof," Laela said in response to the fist hitting her chin. She fell over from the blow, but got right back up. It wasn't the first time she'd ever been hit. "I don't think I deserved that," she said casually. "Do you understand what using words, not fists means? It means DON'T hit, and talk instead." Laela rubbed her chin.

Franziska ripped the whip on her arm out of Phoenix's hand and used it to lash out at Laela. "That's what I say to your accusations!" She shoved Mia forward after snatching the transmitter out of Edgeworth's hand. "Don't listen to him! Just go start the van!"
