Migoto was woken up by Chase's fit. Completely woken up. "Chase, what's going on?" she asked, sitting up and turning to him. "Are you alright...? What happened?" She sounded worried.

Chase sighed. "Of course I'm not mad at you, Migoto. I've just been thinking a lot about my family since last night. I don't know where my sister or my father are, and my mom died getting chased by the police. What if I go out the same way?" he said quietly.

Migoto hugged him close. "Oh Chase..." she said softly, "That's not going to happen to you... You know why? Because you're tough and... I mean, you've gotten grazed by a bullet and then shot in the arm and you're still able to do crazy stuff! And I bet you'll be a great father, Chase. You're kind, sweet, caring... The kid might not have a normal life, but it'll be happy knowing it has a father like you that loves them..."

Chase smiled, despite how tired he was. "Thanks, Migoto. I appreciate it." He was starting to feel better, and laid back again, falling asleep once more without the dreams.

Migoto laid back down as well and kissed Chase's cheek before snuggling up to him again. She could tell he was feeling better, so let herself fall back to sleep with a small smile.

Chase awoke the next day to Wendy walking across his stomach, purring loudly. He opened his eyes to see the cat staring right at him, letting out a little meow. He rubbed his eyes and sat up, petting Wendy gently. "Hey, kitty," he muttered. "Whatcha doin'?" Wendy rubbed up against his chest. "Fine, ignore me as usual."

Migoto stirred a little and slightly opened her eyes. She tried to say something but it just came out as sleepy gibberish. The only thing that was able to be understood were the words 'cat' and 'poptarts'. Then, she fell right back to sleep.

Brutus had woken up early as he always did whenever he decides to go to sleep. But he couldn't help but feel like...something important happened when he was asleep. Brutus yawned and started to do his daily stretches and walked over to his kitchen and sat down to eat some cereal. Today was going to be an odd day.... He could feel it...

Sylvester woke up that morning. In a chair? What had happened last night? Oh, yeah...He'd drove over to the laboratories. Why had he done that? Of course. To synthesize the activation fluid! Sylvester had made his way up to the third floor and snuck into the dark, completely desolate reaction testing facility. He'd found the chemicals he'd needed to create the perfect liquid to react with that solution. And it had bubbled. He'd watched. It kept bubbling. He waited. It fizzed and then bubbled more. And ten minutes later, Sylvester had fallen into a deep, cozy sleep.

A deep, cozy sleep that's cost me precious time and resources! The staff will be here soon. I wonder...

He picked up a large vial filled with an intensely blue liquid. It wasn't bubbling. In fact, there was no reaction whatsoever. Good. Exactly how it was supposed to go. He hadn't messed up, at any rate. Sylvester clamped a cork over the vial and sped off towards the HQ building.

And I meant everything I said last night. Even the part about being a great father! You have something most people like us lack: compassion. Once you have a kid, you're gonna tone the craziness down to make sure the kid is safe. I know it. You'll try to protect yourself better so you can stay safe for it. "All right. Enough laying about. Got to get back to work now for my new boss and figure out why my old one left. Hope it wasn't my fault... Eh, Probably not." Brutus stood up and cleaned up his bowls and things. A quick check to see if anything was left and he was off to H.Q. When he got there he couldn't help but stare at it for a few moments. This place was like his home and he was very glad to see it again after being away for a week. "All right....Where is Sylvester? Can't forget to ask him what the heck happened.... And see if he has any dang pain relievers! My headaches are back! " Brutus put a hand on his head in a vain attempt to do something about the pain in his head and walked into H.Q.

Sylvester's Mito turned into the car park of the skyscraper. There were many empty parking spaces, it being first thing in the morning, so he easily slipped into the one just right of the main entrance and got out of the car, yawning and rubbing his tired eyes. Sylvester walked slowly to the doors and lazily pushed his way through to the foyer.

"Hm? Oh, Brutus. Good to see you again. How goes it?"

"Ah. Hey Syl... Boss. Just thought I'd get here early to see if you could bring me up to speed on what happened when I was gone.... And if you have any pain pills. I got a pretty bad headache right now..." Brutus head was throbbing, he remembered his headaches went away after an hour or so but pain pills really helped.

Sylvester laughed and rummaged through a cabinet at the back of the foyer. "Just Sylvester is fine. I'm still getting used to this myself!" He tossed a pack of paracetamol to Brutus. "Basically, Migoto is with the Hoods now. We have an alliance with the Hoods against the Thugs. We've taken down the big Thug compound on the edge of town and run a few ops since. Yuui, the thug boss, has a new right-hand man named Markus Flint. Not Flynn. I made that mistake after I watched Tron: Legacy. Anyway, he tried to kidnap Migoto once. He won't be pulling anything like that since we now have blackmail material on him. That work for an update? Come on." Sylvester strode over to the elevator and called it down. "I have a new job for you."

Chase nodded and followed her inside. He didn't think it was very cold, but with his choice of clothing, long sleeved coats and pants, he saw how Migoto, wearing her skirts and small shirts would have a problem with it. He took a seat at the table and put his feet up on it, putting his hands behind his head and sighing relaxedly.

Migoto smiled and kissed Chase's forehead. Then, she went into the kitchen and turned on the stove. With a satisfying sizzle, some bacon hit the pan and filled the air with its delicious aroma. Once done, she put the bacon on a plate and started cooking some eggs. "Are you hungry?"

Chase shook his head. "It can't go bad. I always drink all of it before it gets a chance to." He was fanatical about his milk. He felt like it was his life source, almost like an energy, like water. It may have been something to do with his daily activities requiring insane bone structure.
