BM was going to listen intently to the story, but he was distracted by the appearance of a series of chains and 2 large red locks appearing over Dan. BM grunted in surprise and jumped back at their appearance, but no-one else seemed to notice. He tried moving towards them, and poking them, but he was cut off while, in the middle of Sandra and Dan's argument, one of the locks exploded. He shielded himself from the metal shards, but none hit him, or anyone else. 'Okay, so... Wait! This must be the lie detector! And that means Dan is still lying... Cool!'

Glaring at Dan, he asked, "What were you in here for? Were you..." he paused, to think of why he was here. Investigating seemed to obvious, and besides, he had a gun. "Checking up on us? Wait no! Uhh... Just, what were you in here for?" He decided to hold his guesses for later, when he had some idea of what was going on.

"He wasn't in here to apprehend a criminal, that much is for sure. Yet you brought a gun with you," Sandra said.
"I-I carry a gun all the time!" Dan said.
"You're lying. My brother made a similar mistake that you did. You didn't set it when you were aiming it at that 'man.' I know that because it makes a click when set. Yours never clicked," Sandra insisted. "You weren't here to check up on us. You weren't apprehending a criminal. The only reason you would bring a gun is if you felt threatened...You were threatened, weren't you? Black-mailed, right? Perhaps somebody told you to come here and give them something. You didn't have what they wanted or you refusd to meet their demands, so you brought a gun, and..."
"OKAY! I was black-mailed! Are you happy now?!" Dan screamed.

"Can you guys keep it down? I'm on the phone!" Mira said, after moving away from the phone to yell, *and to breath in. "Excellent. Can you track down our location or do I have to tell you where to meet?" Mira asked, after going back to his cell phone.

When BM's guess was proven wrong, he felt as if a small piece of him was torn painfully from his body. Grunting in pain, he directed his attention back to Sandra and Dan.

As Sandra took Dan's lies apart, BM glared intimidatingly, arms crossed. She seemed to have more of an idea as to where to go with this, so he'd sit back. Maybe learn something. 'Her brother? Aiming a gun around? Hmm... Looks like I'll be seeing some more locks soon.' he thought, glare weakening for a thinking position. He tuned back in jut as she dealt the last blow.

'Black-mailed, right? Perhaps someone told you to come here, and give them something.' she said, without a hint of doubt in her voice. Again, BM was impressed. But yet, the lock didn't give way. There was something else. BM decided to hazard a guess. "Happy now? Not quite. We're still missing exactly what you were blackmailed for. Not to mention who. Perhaps it was..." He paused, to double check his thought pattern, and raise his voice. "The Medium Magician with the Magatama from your troubled past!" As he shouted, he pointed his finger menacingly at Dan, almost completely from impulse.

"Um...I'd hate to disappoint you," Dan said, "But I don't have a magatama...I don't even know what you're talking about."
"You don't, huh?" Sandra asked. "Somehow, I doubt that."
"W-what do you mean?!"
"You were being black-mailed by Richard, right? He doesn't want for money. He's the richest man in this city. You were told to meet him by the magatama in BM's hand. When you heard Mira found something, you assumed that was what he found."
"Y-yeah...So? That doesn't explain what I was black-mailed for."
"You were told...To get a 'Guilty' verdict for your client!"
"u-uh...Let's assume you're right. Why, then, would I bring a gun? And I don't know any Richard..."
"I think BM can answer that!" And you can guess, too, Mira.

BM almost felt heartbroken when Dan shot down his answer, but he didn't get hurt. 'Haha yes! Chalk one up for me! We make a good team.' As Sandra mentioned, 'the magatama in BM's hand,' he waved in cautiously through the air. 'Get your client a Guilty verdict? Who would do that?' He stared Dan down, trying to make him feel small.

'Why would he bring a gun...' It seemed it was up to him again to crack this one. Sure was a tough lock. "Perhaps... you were expecting the murderer to be hanging around here? Yeah, a dark, old house, searching for clues, all you'd need is a ghost and we'd have an episode of Scooby-Doo!" Realizing what he'd said, he grabbed him arm in pre-emptive pain, but still maintained his glare.

Dan had a stunned face.
"You got him, BM," Sandra said. "Yes. The only person who would want you to get a guilty verdict would be the real murderer."
Dan gulped. "Y-yes. I-I was r-ready to f-face him."
"You got lucky. Mira and I arrested him earlier today," Sandra said.

((So is the Psyche-Lock broken then?))
'Whoo!' Letting go of his arm, BM smiled happily at his excellent guessing skills. "Without me," he added to Sandra's statement. "Anything else you'd like to add, Dan?" he said, grinning, "Or do we need to fill in the blanks for you?" With that, he added a tone of menace to his voice.

((Yes. It broke.))
"I- please don't do that. W-with your voice. You're scaring me."
"Nothing else," Sandra said. "Right?"
"N-no! Nothing," Dan said. "Although..."
"Although?"
"I thought that woman was the real killer. So, who is she? It's obvious who she isn't..."
"We'll figure that out later, Dan," Sandra said. So, is the Fey girl going to help us?

"Or would you rather have us come pick you up?" Mira asked Pearl over the phone. "I think it'll be better if you want to figure out what the case is about." Mira waited for a response.

Dan's scaed stammering was all BM needed to know he was right. It was also all the lock needed to shatter. The chains flew away into whatever dark corner they came, and BM's sight returned. 'That woman?' he thought as Dan and Sandra talked, 'Must be they one they apprehended,' he decided, sliding the Magatama in his pocket for safekeeping. "Yes, we'll figure out later, after a nice hot lunchner." His stomach grumbled excitedly at the prospect, and he began bouncing with excitement. "So, shall we hit the road then?"

"Umm...Okay. You can pick me up. I'm at the-" Pearl began.
"Oh! My! God! That takes me back," Maya interrupted.
"At what used to be Morgan Fey's house in Kurain."

Sandra was very hungry, too. Her stomach growled in unison with BM's. "Lunch sounds like a great idea."
"LUNCH! YAY!!" Dan screamed over his growling stomach. "Let's go!"
"We still need to know where we're going," Sandra said. Though, if I'm not mistaken, we'll pick her up in Kurain.

"Food places?" BM asked, "I'm counting on some good old cult hospitality." He had it all figured out. 'Show up, smile, investigate and interrogate. Stay just long enough for dinner.' And in his mind, the plan was perfect. "So yeah. Dan's driving then?"

"Um..." Pearl said. "We don't have any restaurants here..."
"Oooh...Restaurants remind me of big, juicy burgers..." Maya said. "That's it. I'm making hamburgers for dinner!"
Pearl smiled. Master Mystic Maya had gotten very good at cooking over the years. "But Master Mystic Maya's making hamburgers. If you are hungry..."
"Sure, I'll drive. It'll take a couple hours, though," Dan said.
Kurain village...How long it's been since I've been there. Sandra thought.

"Oh? You've been there before?" he asked Dan, slipping his hand into his pocket. "Whatever," he added, "It's okay." He then frowned and added, "So we're going to be on the road a couple hours. Unless anyone knows a man with a helicopter?" Grinning awkwardly, he walked towards the door. 'So let's see the DanMobile then.'

"Yes, I've been there...With Sandra," Dan said. "A helicopter? A private plane would be a lot nicer."
Sandra seemed to sigh a little when Dan said he was there with her. It was something she didn't want to remember. Her first case, and she was still in law school. It was one that was very personal to her. To Dan, it was just another case.

While Dan was talking about going to Kurain, a few locks appeared... over Sandra. 4 of them, in fact, as red and looming as ever. He decided not to pry, so he dropped the Magatama and shook his head. "A plane would be nicer, yes, but how would we land it? Helicopters are more versatile than planes." he said, matter-of-factly, "Unless we're talking dinky Wright Brothers planes."

"So if we are talking planes, where is Kurain in relation to here?" Mira asked, trying to figure something out. "Also, how far away is it?" Is air support worth it?

"It's a couple hours by train," Dan said. "But I can get us there in an hour and a half." Sandra rolled her eyes. There was no way he could move faster than a train. Dan wasn't lying.

"Do you have a plane or anything?" Mira asked. He didn't really buy into Dan's claim, but then again, he had his own resources. "How else could you get us there in that time?" Mira asked.

"Speed demon, eh?" he asked, grinning at Dan's claim to get them there faster than train. "Or did you drive here in a spaceship? Ah, whatever, let's just go. The house is starting to creep me out anyway." He opened the door, and was about to go find the car when, on an impulse, he went to grab his Magatama. Pushing his thumb against the curly end and closing his eyes, he tried to clear his mind of all thoughts but one. 'Go. Go.' Needless to say, nothing happened. He coughed innocently and walked over to the nearest car.

"Here it is. In all it's glory," Dan said. It looked like a regular Toyota Camry.
Dan is really into mechanics. I bet he found a way to make the car move really fast and not be able to get in trouble, Sandra thought. I'll bet he messed with hydrolics and gave it some jets of some sort.

"Well as long as it will get us there....." Mira entered the car. He then remembered the woman. "Actually, do you think an hour and a half is too long?" Mira asked. "I think the woman may wake up then, and thus, make this interrogation run difficult. Actually, hold that thought." Mira ran back into the house, picked up the woman, then ran back to the car, with the woman over his shoulder. "So yeah, do you have an answer to any of my questions?"

BM stared at the Camry... then simply walked around to the passenger side, yelled "Unlock it please!" and waited. In the meantime, he decided to answer Mira. "Yes, an hour in a half is too long, no I don't think it'll be a problem with the investigation and yes I have an answer to your questions."

Mira stared at BM, then turned his head sharply to the left. "Idiot." He said, referring to BM's last answer. "But yeah, where do I put her?" Mira asked, after bringing his gaze forward.

Biting his lip after Mira's remark, BM retreated to his thoughts. 'Ouch. Note to self, don't talk to Mira.' After regaining focus, he took a look inside the car. "Mmph." Didn't look roomy, or rather, didn't look roomy enough for an intern, an attorney, an investigator, a postal worker and an unconscious woman. He shrugged.

"I don't know. The trunk," Dan joked. "I guess I'll need to resort to using something else. Where do you want to have her? The police station? It'll be no problem for me to take her there in another car while you take this one to Kurain. I can catch up with you..."
Sandra thought for a moment. "Do you have another one here? And who will drive?"
Dan gave Mira the keys. He then pulled out a strange-looking remote. "Watch this," he said, pushing a button.

Not to far away, a policeman saw an empty van pull out of a nearby parking lot. He shook his head like "I didn't just see that" and kept looking for any violators of the law.

Mira took the keys in his free hand. He then observed the incoming car. "Was that legal?" Mira asked, as he brought the unconscious woman to the van that came out of (seemingly) nowhere.

"Oh, don't worry about it," Dan said. "If a policeman saw it, they would probably think it was just a hallucination. Like when I did it for my first date with a woman. Yeah, a very lovely lady. She was swept off her feet by..."
"Hello! Woman waking up soon. Trying to get her to the police station before she tries to get away," Sandra interrupted. Dan blushed, got into the van, and drove away.

"Erm..." BM mumbled as Dan drove off. "Well then. Let's go?" 'Before something else happens.' He opened the passenger side door and hopped in, looking around to see if anything was added. Unfortunately, he'd never been in a Camry, so it all looked rather new.

Sandra got into the Camry. She was nervous about going back to Kurain mostly because of reliving some memories.

Dan was driving, listening to the radio. He was close to the police station, and it was only a matter of time before he got in there.

Mira opened the glove compartment and pulled out the map. "That answer doesn't sound all that confident." He said, as he folded out the map. He found his starting location, then his ending location. He put the map back in the glove compartment, started the car, and drove off to Kurain.
