Cody was about to explain himself to Trucy when all of a sudden that blonde dude that all the girls had the posters of burst in.
What was his name? Nick Jonas? No, that's not right......well, whatever.
Mr. Jonas flashed a perfect, rock-star smile and said, "Don't you know breaking and entering is a crime, young man?"
Obviously this dude was used to dealing with girls. Cody saw how Trucy cuddled up behind him and his temper flared up.
Cody flashed his most mischievous smile and snapped back, "Don't you know she's too young for you, dude?"
Jonas does something....((I'll fill this in after Nii posts)).... Heh. This guy didn't know what he was dealing with. Cody, on the other hand, had been dealing with adults like him his whole life.
Just as Jonas was about to say something, a young girl dressed in a weird bathrobe randomly jumped in. She stared at Cody for a second, then asked, "Oh. Did I come in the wrong way, Trucy? Is this how you do it in the city?"
Cody almost laughed at her. He liked this girl. She was cute in a dopey sort of way. But she was way too young for him.
And he had other things to worry about at the moment.
-GUMSHOE-
That's it. I'm done for, pal.
If Mr. Edgeworth didn't kill him when he got here, then his reputation would be dashed for sure. People were already assuming he was some perv peeking at schoolgirls. No one would hire him. What if Maggey heard about it? Would she leave him?
Wright and Ms. Fey dragged him into the house, still dazed. Wright sat him down, then headed off to the back.
Gumshoe looked around. He absent-mindedly plopped down on the couch.
"EEEK!" He jumped up. He had sat on someone. He turned around and saw Mr. Edgeworth's little girl!
Now I've done it. As if this couldn't get any worse....
He dropped down to the floor and sat on his bottom.
Ms. Fey bent over to talk to him. "Hey, Gumshoe..."
Gumshoe looked up at her. "I haven't seen you in soooooo long! Still a detective?"
It was nice to know that she was still the cheery person she always was. Some things never change. "More or less, pal."
He did notice that she looked considerably more....grown up than he remembered. Did she always look like that? Surely she couldn't have...matured...too much. She was at least 20 the last time he saw her. Maybe it was just because she had been so young before. He hadn't noticed.
I wonder if her and Wright ever got around to--
Just then, someone knocked on the door. Hard.
Gumshoe's heart sank.

((Yeah, sorry. I'm new to these RPs. But, as CarChaseCityMan can tell you (sorry again), I've godmodded MUCH worse before. I'm still trying to get the hang of it.
))((I said Cherry was too young for Cody. Cody is 16. Trucy is 15. This is fine. Cherry is 13. A little young for 16-year-old Cody. Not that it would be impossible. There was a mutual initial attraction, but Cody would need to warm up to the age difference. And Cody likes Trucy. But he likes Eva the most (since it seemed to me that she was the only one (before Cherry) that didn't have a working pair-up). He isn't interested in Julia. He thinks she's boring. Again, this could change, but I thought it would be helpful if Cody wasn't interested in every girl.
PS - He likes Maya, too. But who doesn't?))

He could feel Trucy press upon his back. Was she scared? The poor thing. Klavier was trying to think of something to say to comfort her but the boy's voice interrupted his thoughts. "Don't you know she's too young for you, dude?" He seemed rather cocky, Klavier thought. But he was far too used to being hated by complete strangers.
"I believe the young fraulein asked you a question. Who are you, and what are you doing here?" he asked, smiling still. "And choose your words carefully..." Klavier placed his hands on his waist and leaned forward slightly. "Your rap sheet depends on it."

Miles managed to make it to the Wright residence in one piece. He found changing clothes on the road to be quite the challenge. Nevertheless, he was there, as any worried father would be. Getting out of his car he hastened his steps towards the door and knocked; quite hard too, hoping it would imply the sense of urgency. Miles could hear a bit of commotion coming from inside. His face darkened. He never should have allowed Eva to attend.

Hmm..I wonder what that means? thought Maya, when someone knocked on the door...I guess pounded would be the right word.
Maya bounded over to answer and pulling back the door was esctatic and thrilled to see Edgeworth...looking quite worried!
"Edgeworth!! Oh My God! Edgy! I havent seen you in aaages! How are you? Still prosecuting? How come you never call?" Maya gushed, obviously not taking in that he looked worried for a reason!
Trucy, cuddling up against the gorgeous prosecutor had forgotten all about the stranger in her kitchen until, breaking through her day dreams of the prince and herself the words "Don't you know she's too young for you, dude?" caght her attention.
Was she? She had never thought about it up til now!
She supposed he was a little older..But he was amazing! And Gorgeous! And Amazing! And rock star! And a prosecuting god! and amazing!
...and he just because he was older doesnt mean that he would take advantage of any of the girls here! Not the Prince...

And he was bombarded with questions. Who was this girl? Had they really met before? She looked strangely familiar, he swore he'd seen that top knot somewhere before... Then it came to him. "It's nice to see you again, Ms. Fey." It had been years since he last saw her, and though her appearance had matured that spark that was distinctly Maya was still there. He'd probably be happier had they met under different circumstances.
"So, father... I wondered how long it would take you to get here, after all, you had a spy here all along."
He saw it coming. Eva was sharp, much like himself. But he decided it was a discussion meant for a later time. "Wright informed me of your condition, though he has failed to provide me with the details," Miles responded, trying his best to sound composed. His expression, however, told a different story. It was then that he saw a familiar spiky figure. "Speak of the devil."
((I assume Nick still has spiky hair? If not I'll take that detail off.))

((Just a quick note: I have no plans of pulling Eva out of the RP. I guess you could say this is a sort of... challenge? Talk him out of it! Pointing his finger at Miles as he led Eva off, Phoenix walked down his entrance way stairs and in front of Miles (Who hopefully stopped walking at Phoenix yelling at him?) Storming around to in front of Miles (His he is walking fast, then Phoenix will just run.), Phoenix braced his hand against Miles chest to stop him moving forward and tisked him.
"You must be going deaf in your old age, Miles, cause I keep talking to you, and you keep ignoring me." Phoenix started, "You're obviously not interested in sharing a cup of tea with me, so I have another proposal for you."

Eva was abruptly pulled off of the couch by her father, but she stood her ground firmly.
"I have no intention of leaving, father. Mr Wright, thank for your assistance, but my father and I need to sort this one out as a family," she turned back to her father. "Father, I was diagnosed to have fainted from neurocardiological syndrome, and Mr Eldoon determined it was NOT serious, so I'm afraid your argument has disappeared, therefore you have no right to make me leave!" This was rapidly turning into something almost like a courtroom battle.

Miles had managed to drag Eva outside. He didn't care, he'd use force if he had to, if it assured his daughter was safe. All he had in his mind now was to get Eva home where she can be tended to properly, home where he can see her and be sure she remained unharmed.
"OBJECTION!!" yelled a desperate Maya. "Eh... Um... You can't leave! Because... It's not just any party! It's... Trucy's Birthday!!!!"
"Yes!" a cheerful voice resonated. "It's Trucy's birthday spin the bottle, and she just HAS to play with all he friends, including your daughter! And you!"
"But we adults can have our own game," Maya added.
He closed his eyes as he continued walking, his hand firmly wrapped around Eva's wrist. Did she really think an excuse like that would stop him now? And him, join in such a foolish game? Preposterous. "Rest assured, Ms. Fey, there will be a delicately-wrapped present upon that doorstep first thing in the morning," he answered back.
The prosecutor stopped in his tracks. It had been a long time since he last heard that. It was almost... nostalgic. It wasn't long until the ex-defense attorney was in front of him, palm pressed against his chest, as if telling him to stop. "You must be going deaf in your old age, Miles, cause I keep talking to you, and you keep ignoring me," he started. Miles could tell from his tone that he was serious. "You're obviously not interested in sharing a cup of tea with me, so I have another proposal for you."
"Hah!" He was furious now. "You expect me to enter into some foolish bargain when my daughter's health is at stake? I was a fool to think that of all people you would understand." Miles tugged at Eva's wrist. "Eva. Let's go." He tugged again, but she wouldn't budge. Was she... resisting?
"I have no intention of leaving, father. Mr. Wright, thank for your assistance, but my father and I need to sort this one out as a family." Eva turned to him. His brows met. He was starting to lose patience. "Don't get wise with me, young lady," he started. "I am your father. It is my responsibility to look after your well-being. I have every right to take you home!" He clenched his free fist so hard you could see it shaking. "And who's to say it won't happen again!?" He stared directly into his daughter's eyes as if searching for something. Her eyes were overflowing with determination. He could tell she felt so strongly about staying, but he just... he just...
Miles raised his head to the sky and drew in a sharp breath. "Make it quick, Wright, before I change my mind..."

Cody was sure what a "Frow-Line" was. But he assumed it was Trucy, since she asked him the same questions. He was a little hurt that Trucy didn't recognize him. And whatever his "rap sheet" was, this guy seemed serious about it.
"My name is.....Hawkins. And I'm just checking the vents for disrepair. Did you know that 80% of household fires could be prevented with an adequate vent system?"
-BOOM BOOM BOOM-
The cute bathrobe girl dashed into the next room.
Cody readied himself to make a break for it, should Blondie make any wrong move.
((I'd like it if Klavier tries to apprehend him, and Cody makes a run for it and runs through the living room, putting him into the central story. Hopefully the Edgey drama will be over by then. XD))

As soon as he heard Mr. Edgeworth's voice, Gumshoe quickly jumped up and placed himself in a corner of the room and tried to avoid being noticed. He was sweating bullets.
Maybe by the time all this is over, Mr. Edgeworth will have forgotten about me.
But he knew there was no chance of that. Mr. Edgeworth never forgot anything.

Yay! Edgeworth is staying! Maya thought...I guess we didnt need to pretend it was was Trucy's birthday after all!...But now that we have, Trucy better play along!
