Leon's hand went stright to his gun when Dahlia started to panic, however being an assassin, he knew better then to take it out as of now. He sighed as Dahlia started to recover. Refusing to channel Mia would be a thing to discover.

((Sorry, just had a Rhyming contest...still in the mindset))

He made sure to continue watching Dahlia in case she motioned an order of sorts to him.

"Oh!" Phoenx said with a start. "I'm... sorry for bringing that up... it was kind of blunt. Please forgive me." Pearl looked at Nick with a disapproving stare. It wasn't funny. Pearl had seemed to become a master of the evil eye at the age of 10 (or is it nine?). Maya asked, "Why a private channeling? All of us would like to talk to her, and I think I can speak for all of us that seeing her satisfied that you were safe would make us satisfied as well."

Kck... No, that's no good, they'll just get in the way...
"W-well, it's...sort of a delicate subject for me..." Dahlia sighed. "I didn't want to burden you all with memories of back then, I already feel badly enough for asking you to do this for me, Mystic Maya. Besides..." She glanced in Leon's direction momentarily. "I'm keeping you from your friend as it is, aren't I, Feenie?"

"Well, all right." Maya frowned as she said this. "Are you completely sure? Not even Pearly?" Phoenix put his hand on Maya's shoulder. "It's all right, Maya. I'll need Pearl's help to help guard the door, anyways." Pearl changed from a melancholy look to one of parodic duty. "Right, Mr. Nick!" Phoenix knew that he couldn't keep his guest waiting too long. He looked over to the strange man as he said, "Go on, Maya." She replied, "All right, Nick," with a bit of concern.

"Thank you, everyone," Dahlia smiled sweetly. "I'm truly grateful that you'll do this for me..." She wondered if she should hug Phoenix to solidify the illusion that she could actually stand these people, but decided Iris probably wouldn't be that forward and quickly scrapped the idea. Instead, she bowed politely, then walked up the steps to the entrance of Fey Manor and waited patiently for Maya and Pearl to invite her in.

Maya and Pearl left for the channeling chamber with Iris. Phoenix then turned to the strange man. "I'm... sorry for keeping you waiting so long. If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few questions." Phoenix remembered the Magatama in his pocket. It was a little comforting, because he knew that if the strange man started to be suspicious it would soon be obvious.

The braided woman quietly followed the Master into the Channeling Chamber and seated herself neatly on the straw mat within. This was a sickeningly familiar experience, one she never wanted to remember. She'd been born to carry on the Kurain Channeling Technique, to inherit the title this topknotted girl across from her now held. As a child, she'd spent countless hours in this very room attempting to live up to her parents' - no, the entire village's - expectations. The encouragement heaped upon her filled her with joy, but at the same time, incredible pressure to succeed. Once her complete lack of spiritual power had been made perfectly clear, that all ended. Nobody turned their heads to smile at her or her twin when they walked through the little hamlet anymore, nobody praised them, even their parents stopped paying them any mind. Who could be bothered to acknowledge a pair of failures like them?

This was all ancient history, of course. Soon, she would be vindicated. Soon, nobody would be able to call her a failure ever again. The woman pushed these thoughts to the back of her mind; it was getting hard enough to suppress her knowing smirk.

Leon grinned, his right hand resting snugly against his pistol. He didnt pull it out of his jacket though, so it was impossable to see. "...you may ask..." was all he said. He was keeping an ear out in case Dahlia needed anything.

Phoenix began. "First, if you don't mind too much, could you tell me if you have ever been here before, Mr... Umm... sorry, I don't think I caught your name...." Phoenix's nervousness crept into his voice. "I hope this really is the guy from before," he thought. "No, how could I forget him?"

Maya motioned for Pearls to stay outside. "Sorry Pearls, I'm sure Mia will talk with you after the channeling." Maya closed the door and locked it. "Sorry, it's just a precaution. Umm..." Maya looked around the room. "I... wasn't exactly prepared for this... the room isn't quite ready... if you would just allow me to light a few more candles, maybe get some incense burning..." Maya got some matches from behind the screen. "It will smell really nice and nostalgic. Well, that's always the feeling I got. Tell me if you feel that way too, Iris." As she lit the candles, she asked, "So, have you ever been in here before?"

Thanks for locking the door, little girl. You're making this so much easier on me...
Dahlia's train of thought was swiftly derailed, thanks to Maya's question. "Hmm?" she asked sweetly. "O-oh, sorry... Yes, I've been here before... Mother brought us here when we were young as part of our training..." But I shouldn't have to tell you that, should I? Or have you already forgotten who we are? she continued to herself. She turned her attention to the hands folded neatly in her lap. "I really must apologize to you again for inconveniencing you this way, Mystic Maya..."

Leon watched Phoenix through is mask, he was listening, however he was focusing more on the sounds from the channeling chamber, making sure that should Dahlia need his assistance, he would be ready to serve her. "Oh, I'm terribly sorry, My name is Clark Riven. And from the looks of you, you are the famous Defence Attorney Phoenix Wright. May I have an autograph?" He held out a small slip of paper. Leon had been in the assassin buisness a long time and it comes in handy to have autographs to forge.

Phoenix was surprised. Usually people yell at him if he does his job. At the least, the unexpected praise calmed his nerves a bit. Phoenix took the piece of paper and signed it, Phoenix Wright. "I hope this will do." He handed him the paper. "Umm... Mr. Riven, was it? You were here a few days ago, if I'm not mistaken?" Phoenix was just being polite at this point. The mask was a dead giveaway.

Maya realized what she had said when Iris mentioned the training. "Oh... I'm sorry, Iris... I didn't mean to... well, I guess I should just... get started then." Maya felt really guilty, and it showed on her face. She sat down in front of Iris. "All right," she said, "just give the word when you are ready. Any questions?"

"It's alright, Mystic Maya," Dahlia waved her cousin's worry off with a forced smile. "That was a long time ago. I'm...happy where I am now..."
...huh? What the hell was that? Did she actually just...hesitate? How unforgivably sloppy.
...well, it was only for a split-second anyway; nobody would notice that.
"I can't think of any questions," she answered, quickly changing the subject. "I'm ready whenever you are."

Leon looked at the paper. He handed it back and nodded. The mask he wore now was not the same mask he had worn a few days ago, but it was the same mask he had worn when he summoned Dahlia. "Indeed I was." He did not like bringing things up, it made it easier to say something you regret, he preferred simply to answer questions.

Maya sat down to begin the channeling. "Now, if you could just be quiet for a bit..." Maya summoned forth the spirit of Mia. Mia opened Maya's eyes. "Oh, hello, Iris. Nice to see you." Mia looked around to observe the channeling chamber. She thought for a moment, then said, "I guess by our location that you wanted to talk to me privately, I can't imagine Maya not just calling me forth for any other reason." She paused to think again. "Speaking of reasons, I can't see why Iris would want to or need to speak to me privately. This begs the question: are you really Iris?"
((Considering Dahlia swore revenge on her, and considering case 3-5, Mia would have good reason to be suspicious of anyone who looks like Iris or Dahlia.))

Phoenix felt a little relieved. At least he was being cooperative, and not secretive. "Well then, I hope you don't mind me asking, what happened after you performed the channeling with this medium?" Phoenix held up a picture of the medium that Riven had gone in with.

Dahlia's eyebrow twitched, yet she held her sweet smile. She hadn't expected to be discovered so soon. Not that it really mattered; the moment the cousin she hated so much materialized in this world was the moment she'd won.
"You certainly don't waste time beating around the bush, do you?" the vindictive woman cooed angelicly. With one fluid motion, she slid the pistol hidden in her robe sleeve into her hand and aimed it straight at the head of the medium sitting across from her. "Hands up, keep your voice down, and don't even think of leaving that body." Dahlia's smile melted into a wicked sneer. "It's so good to see you again...Mia Fey," she said, practically spitting the name.

Leon nodded. "Of course not. After I was done talking to the medium, I noticed she was ill so I escorted her to a nearby hospital, I believe it was called the Hotti clinic. After that I went back to my estate. Do you have any further questions for me?" Leon was making sure to keep his pistols at the ready, but not to reveal that they were there. He didnt want anything to go wrong. Period.

Mia stood up, smiling. She wasn't about to lose her cool in front of Dahlia. That would just speed her own death. "It's nice to see you too." She raised her hands. "So, you think you've finally won, Dahlia?" She remained calm. "I assume you've prepared a speech."

Psyche locks appeared in front of Phoenix's face, five in total. 'Whoa...' Phoenix thought. "Such a carefully guarded secret. This is much more important than I thought. But... wait, I have nothing to go on! Gotta keep in contact with this guy... but don't act like you suspect him. Hm..."

"Mr. Riven, may I have a cell phone, address, or some contact method? You see, you may be called as a witness, as she has not turned up or contacted here, and police will likely consider it a disappearance. You being the last one with her, they will need to contact you."

Leon shook his head. "I'm afraid that recently the cell phone I possessed was misplaced (not a lie, he took Phoenix's phone into his possession and then misplaced it) and for security purposes I try not to hand out my adress (just the plain truth), however should the police require to call me as a witness, I'm sure they will be able to identify my home and come talk to me then." Clark Riven was crafty indeed.

"Cocky for someone being held at gunpoint, aren't you?" Dahlia smirked, her weapon constantly trained on Mia. "I suggest you sit back down and toss that stupid pride of yours away if you value your dear little sister's life at all. Oh, and please enlighten me as to what you mean by 'You think you've won.' It's quite obvious to me that I have, Miss Fey."

Phoenix mulled over things. No psyche locks had appeared for any of the recent statements. He needed some form of identification, some tie to the real world. However, with that many psyche locks, it is likely that this Clark character would lie. Phoenix continued with his questioning, "How can the police find you from your home?" If anything, he can put this guy on the spot. It works in most trials, Phoenix thought.

Mia remained calm. This was part of her plan. "I fail to see your victory. Even if you shoot me, even if you hurt everyone, it won't change the fact that you have failed. Eventually, your spirit will return, and what will you have accomplished?" Mia stroked her hair, as she did in her trials. "I won that day. You will just have to live with that." She gave a sarcastic inquisitive look. "Or, actually, you will just have to die with that, won't you?" She smiled again.

Leon shook his head kindly. It wasnt very difficult for him to pretend, he had alot of experience lieing. He shrugged and said "I presume they will just track my name now, wont they?" He didnt really care if they tracked the name Clark Riven. They would come up with a random first name attached to the sequel to the hit game Myst. Thats..about..it.

The armed woman blinked in suprise; not so much at Mia's words as the tactic she'd chosen to employ. She sighed in false sadness. "Poor, poor Mystic Maya..." Dahlia mused. "It seems your sister doesn't care about your fate, either." She tilted her head and curled her lips into an innocent smile.
"Mia Fey?" she cooed in a hideous voice of sugar and ice. "I'm curious about something. If a person is shot through the lung, what would happen to them first? Would they bleed to death, or suffocate on their own blood?" She adjusted her aim to her hated relative's chest. "Would you like to find out? If so, please continue being an idiot and try my patience some more."

Phoenix got out a pencil and paper. "I understand if you don't want to give out much personal information. But... could you please spell your name for me, sir? I just need to keep my records straight, as I may be jurisdicting this kidnapping case."

On the inside, Mia was flustered. Dahlia did not seem to be backing down, but she does have much more self control than most people. But, as Mia's mind kept insisting, the last thing that she should do was give in. Quite frankly, she knew, Dahlia wasn't doing this to kill her. Dahlia was much more interested in the revenge. If her enemy wasn't reduced to a sniveling wreck, Dahlia wouldn't be quite satisfied. Drawing on that desire for revenge she knew Dahlia Hawthorne for, she continued her front. If anything, this could buy her time. Every second increases her chance for survival. Once she breaks down, Mia knows Dahlia has no reason to hesitate.

"Idiot? Are you talking about the same idiot who was too stupid to just get rid of the locket? Are you talking about the same idiot who didn't realize your alibi would require X-ray vision? The same idiot who couldn't even pull off a simple jewel heist without jumping into a river?" Mia raised an eyebrow.

Leon shrugged. "If you wish. C-L-A-R-K. R-I-V-E-N. Like the game, yes, so dont bother pointing that out like everyone else...*chuckle.* Did you know one kid even believed that me and my wife were the creaters? How rediculas. "A 'simple jewel heist'?" Dahlia repeated incredulously. She narrowed her eyes at the disgusting wench sitting across from her, then tossed some of her hair back dismissively with her free hand. "Just as I thought. You don't know anything at all...
"In any case," she continued, "it looks like you won't humor me by trying to bargain for your little sister's life. What a shame. I suppose you'll have to explain to her why your pride is more important than she is when you meet her in the afterlife." She leveled her gun at Mia's head again and cocked the hammer back. "I've won, Mia Fey. Goodbye."

Mia laughed. "I'm not helpless, you know." Mia, who was still at channeling distance, crouched and made a tackle toward Dahlia, intending to hit the underside of her outstretched arm. Mia also screamed, regardless of whether the tackle was successful or not, partially to alert Phoenix and Pearl, and partially to disorient Dahlia. There was no more manipulating, no more thought. Now was the time to act.

Leon heard a scream come from the Channeling Room. He yelled to Phoenix and Pearl. "That sounded like a scream! Phoenix, Pearl, I have a gun. Its in my car outside of the village, hurry and get it, I'll keep the area under control and notify the police." In case Phoenix began to protest he would simply say "Someone you care about is in there, this is no time to bicker, just hurry and get my gun!!"

Mia's swift duck and attack took her opponent by suprise; Dahlia managed to fire once before her pistol was knocked away, but the split second she had to alter her aim clearly wasn't long enough. She wasn't even sure if the shot had hit her wretched relative; it very obviously hadn't been fatal in any case, as was evident by the still living woman on top of her. Why did she let this happen? She should have just shot her cousin and gotten it over with when she had the chance. Now she was going to live, to get away. How could she have made such a stupid, careless mistake?
A mistake. Another mistake, another blunder to toss onto her pile of shame, one more failure this disgusting wench pinning her down could throw in her face. One more insult, one more mocking laugh from this bitch who'd taken everything from her that she'd have to hear ringing in her head for the rest of eternity. She would rather hang a thousand more times than give Mia Fey the satisfaction of one more victory over her. She couldn't take it, couldn't possibly bear any more...
"I'll kill you!" Dahlia shrieked, shoving the medium off her with the sudden rush of adrenaline that came with such desperation. She lunged at her downed rival and grappled with her, clawing at her throat in an attempt to make good on her declaration. Her face twisted up in rage and her brown eyes flashed the color of blood in the dimly candlelit channeling room. "Die, Mia Fey!" she screamed. "Die! DIE!"

Phoenix wouldn't listen to his suggestion, it would take too long. Why take the time to get a gun when a murder could happen in a few seconds? "There's no time! Come on! Help me, we're going to need to break down the door!" A voice came out from the chamber, "Mr. Nick! Please, hurry!" Phoenix would run into the waiting room, completely focused on getting into the chamber. Only physically stopping him could break his fervor.

Mia felt an adrenaline rush as she was shoved to the ground, with Dahlia's hands around her neck, but for a different reason. Mia had to protect her sister's life, but she had a bullet lodged in her lower left arm. She took her right arm and grabbed Dahlia's arm, pushing it away. She also began to bring her right leg up in an attempt to kick her in the stomach. She would try to kick several times.

Leon realized that things were not going the way he wished. He followed Phoenix as he ran towards the Channeling Chamber. He figured Phoenix was fixed on opening the door, and slowly he pulled out a bottle of chloroform and a rag, then attempted to grab Phoenix and knock him out. As he held him he whispered "Your very correct Mr.Wright. You have no time...not anymore." Then he pulled out his pistol and held it towards Pearl. "Don't say a word unless you want "Mr.Nick" to become Mr.Dead" He listened carefully in case he heard Dahlia yell in a way that didn't sound as though she was winning. I mean to be honest "Die! DIE" sounds like a cry of victory. However in a few seconds if Dahlia didn't come out, Leon was going in.

"What's wrong, Mia Fey?" Dahlia laughed as she throttled her cousin. "No more smug rema-"
Her taunt was cut short by a sharp knee to the abdomen. She cried out in pain, then narrowed her eyes at the other woman and returned the favor by slamming Mia's head against the straw mat before releasing her grip to clutch her stomach. "Damn stubborn..." she muttered furiously. She quickly scanned the dark room for her gun. Somehow it had disappeared from sight. Why couldn't anything ever be easy?
Dahlia quickly pulled her belt off and circled around her enemy in an attempt to choke her from behind with it.

Phoenix felt the world getting darker, and felt himself relaxing, completely contrary to what his mind was screaming at his body. He tried to move all he could, but all his muscles did were relax. He blacked out. Pearl, upon seeing Nick fall down, let out a high pitched scream, very, very loud. When she realized that she had put Nick in danger, she ran over to him and started yelling, "Please, Mr. Nick, wake up!!!" with sobs interrupting her phrasing.

Mia had been caught by the belt while she tried to get up. She was now in a position trying to stand up while being choked from behind. She clawed for the belt with her one useful arm, but it was useless. She couldn't get a grip on the belt. Mia felt herself falling backwards, so she straightened her bent knees quickly. Mia was now falling backwards, but, since she managed to extend her legs, she hoped she could fall into Dahlia and throw her off balance. With a belt around my neck, Mia thought, any shift in weight could throw her off.

Leon heard Pearl start to scream. Instinctivly he lunged forward and attempted to elbow Pearl in the back of the head to knock her out. Then he heard another scream. Comming from the Channeling Chamber. He walked up to the door and simply asked very calmly but powerfully enough to get through the door "Dahlia...Dahlia...not having any trouble are you?"

(blugh, I hate doing fight scenes...)

As Dahlia tightened her makeshift noose, she noticed her cousin tugging at it with only one arm. Now that she thought about it, Mia only used one to push her away moments ago as well. Could it be...? When she fell backward, she pulled Mia's body to the left, trying to force her to land on her unused arm.
Just then, she heard Leon call to her. Wasn't he supposed to be keeping the others distracted? "I'm fine!" she snapped. "If you don't have anything better to do, go make sure Iris isn't doing anything stupid!"

Mia looked at the floor in horror as Dahlia, the only one who could have cushioned her fall, moved aside. Mia tried to catch herself, but since she had to use her bad arm, it quickly fell out from under her. She now fell, head first, onto the floor. She saw the world getting dark, as she heard a voice say, "Dahlia...Dahlia...not having any trouble........"

As Mia fainted, Maya's body began to revert. Her hair grew longer, posture shrunk, and prescience along with it. Because Mia had been knocked out, the channeling was over. However, even as Maya returned, she was still unconscious. She was having trouble breathing in this strained state. However, if Maya died now, neither Mia nor Maya would feel anything. It would be painless.

Iris began to wake up... sort of. She wasn't exactly sure of whether she was awake or not. It was so dark... and her head hurt so bad... what was going on? She heard a thump (Mia's head) and started slightly. She began to move around, search for an exit to the box she was in... (in case you don't remember, Iris was put into the channeling chamber's box a page back.)

A man was staring at the Fey manor. He had come back to Kurain to visit his family, but had seen Phoenix and the masked man run in upon the first scream. Upon the second scream, however, he was unsure as to what to do. Something was going on in there. Should he get involved? Should he run? Should he call the police? "I've got to learn more," he thought. Tyler Herring walked into the manor, carefully.

Leon heard footsteps comming from twords them. Instinctivly drawing his gun he hid in the corner. He was consitering how to kill this man when Dahlia's face shot through his head. "yes...another death is the last thing Dahlia would need....alright." As an assassin, Leon is used to taking a large amount of pain. Logically he keeps some pain killers with him. He took out some pain killers for the neck and a few cloths. He knew this other person was comming soon. Doing the only thing he could, he closed the door (yes this room has doors, you can see them on the Kurain village enterence. They are paper so they are easy to break down) This would buy a few minutes, I mean people dont just go around smashing doors in places when they are just visiting family. With the time he had, he put the cloths into Phoenix's pocket and put his fingerprints on them. Then he also put the chlorophormed one in his pocket. Finally he grabbed phoenix's hand and put it to Pearl's head to get the blood on Phoenix hand. Now 99% of people who saw this would assume that Phoenix had some pain in his throat, hence the pain killers. Someone put cholorphorm in one of the cloaths he used to cough in, when he noticed, he attacked Pearl, knocking her out as well as him. The fact that Pearls yelled out "Mr.Nick" all panicked and screamed didnt help the argument that Phoenix wasnt attacking Pearls.

Have fun being a witness Mr. Herring.
