Cat looked up to see several people arguing, all of whom looked vagely familiar. Figuring that it might be more interesting than political science, she picked up her book and walked over. She stared at one of them, a girl who looked to be in a mode of serious concentration, a sketchbook open in front of her.

"Cat," she said, to this girl, standing awkwardly over Drawing Girl's shoulder. "Cat McGowan." She paused. "Pretty. What're you drawing?"

Chris found that Doug was on the phone, so he decided not to bother him, and ran on. 'I have to warn Meghan!' was his only thought as he ran. But as he did, another voice whispered to him...

"Protect her from what? Your danger... or your fear?"

He stopped dead, looking around. Nobody was there. He started walking again, but before long he heard it again.

"I see your greatest fears... and your greatest triumphs... they're all hidden... hidden in your heart..."

Chris found himself yelling out "SHUT UP!!" ... But, of course, nobody was around still. He looked at his hands. "Am I.. am I dreaming or something?" He slapped himself. Nope, not dreaming.

"You want to hide your deepest, darkest secret... hide it from your friends... hide it from Meghan..."

"Wh-WHAT dark secret!?" he yelled out again. He shook his head and held it in his hands. "What... what the hell is going on? What are you doing to me!?"

"Tee...hee...how fun is it to have your mind meddled with... you stupid little nerd?"

Ugh. It was Dahlia. She was messing with him again... but it didn't feel like she had taken residence in his mind. It was as if... he turned around and saw what looked like an ethereal image of her, standing in front of him. "What do you want from me!?" he yelled at her.

She merely giggled, looking at him with fierce eyes and a wide smirk. "I... see... you..."

Chris turned around and ran towards Meghan's room. He couldn't stop to think about that right now...In almost no time at all, he arrived to her room, saw it open and went in. "Meghan, I have to talk to you. It's urgent!"

Meghan, who was quietly strumming her guitar, looked out the window of her small dorm room.
There was shouting to be heard outside; but Meghan knew it was nothing of importance.

She sighed and thought about the past events; the meeting with Iris, Phoenix and Chris and how it all went. The talk about Dahlia's death still concerned her, so she neatly put her guitar on her stand and began to pace back and forth in her room.

Someone running down the hallway was suddenly audible and Meghan began to become suspicious.
N-noises? Footsteps...Ch-chris...?

All of a sudden, her door flew open and slammed the wall behind it.

"Ch-Chris?! Are you alright? Tell me!"

Chris ran in and helped Meghan up. "It's important! We have an emergency--"

"You want to hide... hide it all.... hide... it... all..."

He ignored the voice, and continued. "We have an emergency, and everyone has to meet up together. It's... it's Dahlia. Her spirit's around. I didn't want to believe that it was even possible, but somehow she halfway possessed Phoenix, and turned him cold on everyone." He took a few deep breaths to calm himself down, then continued. "Now we don't know where she is, but her spirit's on the loose. I know it sounds really, REALLY out there, Meghan, but Iris and I witnessed it in Phoenix, and she appeared in my dreams and... ugh..." he fell over on the bed, clutching his head. "Now my headache's worsened..."

((OOC: All-italic text is Dahlia speaking, and currently only Chris can hear her.))

"Wh-what?! Dahlia...? Chris...this can't be...CHRIS!!!" Meghan, who was still in quite a bit of shock ran over to the kitchen to get a warm wet towel and placed it on Chris' forehead.

"B-but...Dahlia...she' couldn't of...she's COULDN'T OF!" Meghan placed her hand gently in Chris'
and held it tight.

"Chris! I...what can I do to help? Wait- I'll call..."

Panicking, Meghan ran to her cellphone sitting beside the bedside table and picked it up as fast as she could.

She then dialed Iris' phone number.

Beep, beep beep...

"Pick up, pick up, pick up!" Meghan still held Chris' hand tightly and bit her lip; what was going to happen next?

"She... she already knows," Chris said. "She's taking care of Phoenix... and we think that she may be... possessing someone else..." He took a deep breath before continuing. "It could be that Gregor fellow... or Doug... or... ..." He thought for a moment. "She said that it was more likely that someone on the bridge would be possessed... I wonder if it's possible that it could be anyone?"

Emi pointed at Jade with her pencil, then continued to draw.

Phoenix and Iris were alone again.
"Sssso..." Phoenix couldn't look up from the ground in his embarrassment. "I guess..." He pressed his fingers together and sprung his hands apart a few times. "I guess I should go back to my room now...you probably don't want to be anywhere near me..." He focused on cleaning a little dirt out of his thumbnail. He really didn't want to go, but he'd put Iris through enough for one day. He got up and spotted the sweater. "Um..." He picked it up. "You probably don't want to but...could I have this back?"

"Oh thank god." Phoenix clamped Iris in a hug. "I was so sure I managed to make you hate me." He couldn't hold back the laugh that bubbled up when he said that. He immediately took the hoodie off and put the sweater back on. With that done he felt the most like himself since the entire ordeal at the bridge. He also remembered how hungry he was after his stomach loudly announced it. "Sorry." He laughed the rubbed the back of his head.

Iris covered her mouth, muffling her escaping giggle. It felt like it'd been forever since she'd seen him quite like this; the relief she felt was threatening to sweep her away. She hugged Phoenix's arm and rested her head against his shoulder. "Let's go out for an early dinner, okay?" Iris suggested as she watched her boyfriend's face adoringly.

"I want to but..." Phoenix smiled sadly. He debated bringing this up at all, it was so nice to see Iris smiling again. "Well with you sister and all..." Then he realized that it was him that Dahlia was mad at. Whoever she'd taken now would just find him anyway. He may as well enjoy a nice meal first. "Actually, dinner sounds great." He smiled and rested his cheek atop her head. She always smelled so nice.

"If I hadn't seen it myself, I wouldn't believe this is happening. Normally only those who had strong spiritual power in life can affect the living world this drastically...I'm really scared, Feenie... I don't know what to do about this. She was furious enough at you...at us...to do this much, I don't want to imagine what she might do next..."
Somehow Iris managed to maintain her smile through this. She shut her eyes now, squeezing the tears from them and continued to muse. "Do you remember when you said you'd run away with me? Just get as far away from here as possible...leave all our problems, everything behind...just the two of us... I've thought about how wonderful that would be more than once... That's a really terrible thing to think, isn't it? Especially now..."

Doug quietly closed the phone and looked around him. He had the distinct feeling that Chris and some of the others were getting suspicous of him, but he really didn't blame them. He had the exact same suspicions about them. He knew there could only be two people it couldn't be, Phoenix and Iris. Then he realised that he suspected himself, but that made sense too.

But whatever happened he knew he had to do something before someone died. He still couldn't remember who it was that was hanged or who was missing; for all he knew they might be the same person. He got up off the floor and began to walk back to his class. One thing was for certain though, he shouldn't go to sleep tonight. The nightmares wouldn't be worth it.

Chris sat up, not waiting for Meghan to answer, for what he saw outside caught his attention. "Hey, there's Gregor! We need to warn him... And there's Emi! ..." Chris then caught sight of Jade. "...Oh no, she came at a time like this? We have to get out there now!" He literally drug Meghan by the arm and rushed with her through the hallways towards the doors. Once there, he kicked them open and ran outside, and towards Gregor, Emi and Jade, making sure that Meghan was fast in his wake.

Phoenix didn't remember saying that, but it did sound like something he would say, and there was no point in upsetting her by telling her that a good portion of his memory of those events were blurred by high fever and cold medicine.
"I think you've earned a little selfishness." He said with a light laugh behind it. "Even right now I bet you'd go to hell to get your sister if you thought she might change when you got her here. Then again, you might do it anyway knowing that it wouldn't. It's just one of the many reasons why I love you. It's also why I don't think I deserve you half the time. Bikini wasn't all that off when she kept calling me Mr. Lucky."

Emi glanced over at Chris as he infiltrated her drawing. Each frame of him walking had something rather bad happening to him too. She flipped to a fresh page.

Gregor was in the middle of a chuckle when he noticed Chris pointing excitedly in his general direction. What could he want? ...Oh, that's right. His sister Jade is here. Of course. Then he saw Chirs' face fall, apparently upon noticing Jade's presence. Huh...That's not it? What does he want, then? Dragging Meghan along with him, Chris could be seen making a mad dash for the doors. Soon a loud impact was heard and the doors swung open. Sure enough, Chris came out on the other side immediately thereafter. Quite an entrance...I suppose we'll learn his purposes soon enough. He turned himself around, his attention now focused on Chris. Chris didn't seem the violent type, but one could never be sure. Gregor was ready to act if necessary.

(Alright, Sen's given me control of Dahlia, if it's ok.)

"Tee hee..." Dahlia's control over Emi was extremely satisfying. There she was, a quiet girl who kept to herself and a strong demeor...and now this. To be used as a puppet!

Breathing calmly, Dahlia urged Emi to go back to drawing Chris and his pain. Yes...there it was. First, a weeping Chris over Meghan's dead body... She chuckled in her mind.

Meanwhile, Suzumi came in, she had been busy and hadn't seen the group for two whole weeks.

"Let's see...Chris and Meghan are supposed to be here soon...oh, Emi!" She suddenly waved and ran up to her.

"So...how are you?"

Dahlia was shocked for a second, but immediatly recovered.

"Oh...fine." She did her best to imitate Emi. If she asked herself, it had to be good, as Suzumi smiled and sat next to her, eating some roast potatoes and chicken.

"Oh...fine." Two words came out of Emi's mouth that weren't even hers. This was an odd sensation. The change in her tone would be evident for anyone used to her distinct lack of one. She didn't really speak much though, so the only person who probably would notice would be her brother. Unless they were knowledgeable of her condition and could recognize it right off. However, that was unlikely.
Her urge to draw was also much stronger than usual, but she paid little attention to it.

Stefan wandered through the caféteria. He lazily glanced to either side of him. After Iris and Phoenix had cured their problem, he had just decided to go walk about. It had led him back to the caféteria, and he noticed someone drawing. He payed it no mind, and sat down on the same table. There weren't a lot of free seats left - well, not where he would be welcome. He looked away from the other people on the table, immersed in thought - probably about some sort of insanity.

Chris ran up to Gregor. "We have a huge issue here! I need to talk to you about something that might sound crazy, but I swear to you that it's true! I think that Dahlia's come back from hell and she's using some kind of hellish power to take over someone." He looked around to make sure nobody but Gregor and Meghan were listening for this next part. "She already took over Phoenix, but thankfully Iris was able to help him get back to normal. She could be possessing anyone from the bridge. And, before you ask, it isn't me. She's already been haunting me in some freaky ethereal form." He took a deep breath; saying all that fast made him lose air temporarily. "Doug was on the phone, so I didn't bother him. I think after talking to you, that actually means we've spoken to everyone. Maybe we're in the clear now?"

Jade was still watching intently over Emi's shoulder. "Hey, why are bad things happening to my bro in those pictures?" She hadn't even noticed that he arrived.

((Question, can I still control the outside ethereal Dahlia that haunts Chris? It has to do with a subplot I'm thinking up.))

"Dahlia...back from hell?! How is that possible..." Suzumi whispered.

On Jade's comment, she looked at the pictures too, Meghan in a pool of blood, a knife by Chris's side. Suzumi looked at Emi with an odd look.

"Hmm..." She stood up, pulled out her fan and aimed it at Emi.

"W...what?! What is this stupid girl doing...?!?" Dahlia thought.

Suzumi waved the fan across Emi.

The next thing, Dahlia was in horrible, terrible pain. She was burning, her head aching and she was screaming. Screaming for the terror that was being unleashed upon her.

Dahlia's spirit appeared in a flash and Suzumi smiled, grimly.

"I thought your words seemed odd...Emi. Or should I say...Dahlia Hawthrone!" Suzumi yelled, pointing at Emi, the pointing would have made any attorney cower.

Chris heard the words 'Dahlia Hawthorne', and his head snapped up. "What the...!?" Seeing the shocked look on Emi's face, he realized as well. "Emi can't make a face like that... but..." He looked behind him; sure enough, the ethereal Dahlia was still standing in her place, giving that gruesomely innocent smile... that sickeningly sweet grin... it made him grimace. "How in the...? Can a spirit really be in two places at once!?"

Jade snapped her head up. "Wait wait, wasn't Dahlia Hawthorne that girl that fell off the bridge? The really smart literature girl that went to this University?"

(I love Jade. XD Also, the Subspace Level from Brawl somehow captures Possessed Emi's aura. o.o)

Emi said nothing, then suddenly grabbed a knife and charged at Chris with it. However, Suzumi immedaitly grabbed it by the blade. Her hand trickled with blood, but she didn't care.

"I...WON'T...LET...YOU...HARM...THEM!" Suzumi screamed.

"Just like...him? Tee hee..." Emi giggled, or rather, DAHLIA giggled.

Chris found himself unable to move as he saw what he thought was impossible: EMILY, even though controlled by Dahlia, was rushing at him with a knife. Before it could reach him, a whoosh of air announced Suzumi dashing in front of him and holding the blade. He called out, "Suzumi, don't!"

Jade snapped her head from Emi, to Chris, to Emi again, and she suddenly got angry and ran at Emi. "Hey! No hurting my brother, you evil bitch!" Her face, for once, looked entirely serious as she leaped on Emi.

Emi was a painfully easy puppet to maintain. Unlike Phoenix, who had morals and guilt that got in the way, Emi felt nothing. Picking up a knife and attacking Chris was just as natural to her as moving a pencil across a page. This was a good thing for Dahlia...the others were going to have a harder time.

"J-Jade!" Suzumi staggered back as Jade jumped on Emi.

But, that was the weird thing.

A sudden feeling came over Suzumi. She felt isolated and no longer in control. She stepped to pick up the knife and turned to Chris.

"Yes...do it...kill. Kill him. Your brother is gone...what more do you have to lose?"

Suzumi's memory kicked in. A body was in front of her. Dahlia was standing next to her.

"Tee hee...well, looks like he met his end well!"

"You!!!"

Suzumi made to slap Dahlia, but she disappeared into smoke. Dahlia appeared behind her.

"You can't get away...you can't. It's your fault he's dead!!!"

Suzumi suddenly collapsed, knife dropped. Dahlia was shocked.

"Dammit...I didn't expect to cause her this much pain..."

Suzumi suddenly let out a wild scream, a scream that pierced the entire room.

"NO! NO! PLEASE...MAKE IT STOP! PLEASE...Dahlia...STOP IT!" She yelled at the top of her lungs.

(Ok people, time out! Right, it might just be me, but does this whole thing seem a bit short to you? I mean, Dahlia comes out of Nick and then soon afterwards she gets discovered again? Where's the tension in that? And how can someone suddenly come in and deduce all that? It borders on Mary-Sueism. Besides, that basically makes Dougs sketch worthless.

In other words, I think we should in back a couple of posts and take the whole thing a bit more slowly. Dahlia/Emi would do a lot more damage if no-one knew it was her, and it would be a heck of a lot more realistic. All in favour say aye.)

Chris stepped back. Jade got off of Emi after hearing Suzumi scream; she hadn't attacked Emi, she had merely kept her pinned to the floor so she couldn't do anything.

Chris turned to Meghan, and the ethereal Dahlia was standing behind her. (The second one.) "You have a secret... and I... know what it is..."

Chris made to speak, but he remembered he'd look like a fool if he did.

((Also, I partially agree with Gerk. It seemed a bit too short.))

Stefan watched the fight. He didn't blink - but he stared at Emi. Someone possesed - someone under the control of another. Perfect control - that was what Stefan's dark, selfish side wanted. If he could control them, all was good. But to be possesed... It would be a nice experience. This darker side made Stefab's will collapse. Maybe Hawthorne would notice. Maybe she would posses him, as he wanted.

(Ok, so we're all agreed now. I'm sorry if I sounded moany or mean as that wasn't my intention at all. :) So we're rewinding back to Suzumi eating her meal, Stefan sitting on the same table as Emi and Chris telling Greg that Dahlia has come back from the dead. Letsa go! ^-^)

[OOC: Ya know guys, this kind of stuff is what the OOC thread is for. Ah well, as long as things get worked out I'm a happy camper.]

Emi flipped to another page. He sketchbook now had three pages of bad things happening to the people around her. She would have paid this more mind if she bothered to think on the matter. Her hand always seemed to do whatever it felt like regardless of her thoughts anyway.
"Fine." Emi answered Suzumi with a bluntly calm tone, though for some reason there was almost a sort of edge to it that hadn't been there before. Was she actually feeling annoyed at this woman's presence? Was that possible? The drawing of Suzumi hanging herself seemed to say yes.

Odd.

Jade wasn't satisfied with Emi's ignoring her. She simply asked again, this time with more variation: "Actually, scratch that, why are bad things happening to everyone in these sketches? Is... something wrong, Emily?"

Chris talked about the situation that happened with Phoenix and Iris, explaining it to Greg.

"..Chris? Where are you taking me?" Meghan replied to the fuzzyness of past events; she was in absolute shock as he dragged her to Gregory.

Everything was coming clear. Everything... Dahlia was coming back and there was no way to stop her.

"Ch-Chris...?" Meghan took a hold of Chris gently, just gaining her breath back from the run down the hallway.

"I don't believe this...is this really what happened? I mean Dahlia -...what if she's possessing someone now?!" Meghan pondered the question with astonishment; she gently shook Chris as she asked the question.

"I'm not sure anymore..." Chris shook his head and sighed. "I'm afraid she'll try to possess me next. Doug and Gregor seem fine, you do too, and I know she's leaving Phoenix and Iris alone... but she's bugging me..." He tilted his head, and continued: "At least she hasn't tried getting into my head yet."

Emi looked at what was being drawn. Jade was right, there were some bad things happening to the people she was drawing. She looked around to see if it was happening, but it wasn't.
"Don't know." Emi answered if only because it was expected of her. Her hand continued to draw whatever Dahlia whispered into her subconscious. It was starting to get rather disturbing. Any normal person would have closed the sketchbook by now.
