"Feenie..." Iris gasped, on the verge of tears again. She shouldn't have been this happy, not with her sister's spirit roaming around, apparently bent on ruining their lives. She couldn't help herself; his sweet, thoughtful words intoxicated her. 'I'm the lucky one. I'm the one that doesn't deserve you.' If she hadn't been recently robbed of her breath, she'd have told him this, among other things. An inaudible thank you would have to do for now. She slipped her hand behind Phoenix's neck and gazed at his face lovingly. Several quiet seconds passed as Iris took this perfect scene in before she shut her eyes, pushed herself up on the tips of her toes, and kissed his lips tenderly; the same lips he'd just used to make her heart sing.

"N-no!" Meghan immediately jumped when Chris stated that he was the one going to be possessed next.

"D-Dahlia..." Meghan trailed off and bit her lip, subconsciously pulling on Chris' arm firmly.

"She can't...She just can't! I won't have you hurt anymore Chris...I don't want you d-dead!" Meghan had a teardrop in her eye, ready to fall; she was still grasping Chris' arm tightly.

"I'm going to stop her. I'll stop her if it's the last thing I do!"

Jade gave up trying to talk to Emi and walked over to get some food.

Chris put his arm around Meghan and pulled her into a hug. "We can't worry about what she'll do next... we have to figure out a way to get rid of her first. She could be anyone... she could even be me... but first thing's first: A Dahlia cure. Something to send her back to hell... I wonder if holy water or somethin' exists?"

Phoenix was more than a little surprised. He even made a light squeaking noise when she went in for the kiss, but it didn't take him long to get into it. Had it really been that long? Since the awkward conversation when his amnesia broke he'd been holding back some on affection. Not because he didn't want to, but what with all the drama from before he didn't want to feel like he was taking advantage of Iris somehow. Sister Bikini didn't really help things either. But she was the one that had made the first move this time and....what the hell was he doing thinking at a time like this?

(Wow, that last post was hands down the mushiest thing I've ever written.)

Iris slid her fingers through the hair on the back of Phoenix's head as she continued to kiss him. He'd been a little slow to reciprocate, but she couldn't fault him for that considering recent events. Besides, he might have been taken aback by how forward she was acting; she was a little suprised by that herself. Then again, it had been a while since they'd been quite like this... In any event, she cast aside these deeper thoughts for the time being and let herself be swept away in their amorous embrace.
Minutes passed before Iris somewhat reluctantly stepped back. She giggled like a giddy schoolgirl, which was appropriate because, well, she was a giddy schoolgirl. "We really should go eat now. I don't want you to starve on my account," she grinned, giving him one more light peck on the lips.

[OOC: I've never written romance before right now, and I'm having to channel a friend of mine in order to do it properly. Well, I am exaggerating him a bit so that it fits sensitive college Nick. I am so happy he grows outta that.]

"Wut?" Phoenix hadn't heard a single word of what she just said. There was a big dumb smile etched across his face. It was not quite surprisingly easy to shut his brain off and now he was having to turn it back on. Phoenix had a slow loading time due to all the stuff he had in his head. Once everything else was up and running the message Iris sent got through. "Food. Right..." His face was flushed as he coughed off to the side. "Um, what were you in the mood for?" He wondered.

"Did I?" Loading complete. "Oh yeah. There's a really good one not far from here." He grabbed Iris by the hand and walked out of the room with her. The weather was still a bit chilled, but Phoenix didn't mind. He felt very warm while he was holding Iris' hand.
"IRIS!" Bikini yelled from the taxi that pulled up once the two had walked to the front of the campus. "MR. LUCKY!" She hobbled out with a clunky bag in her hands. For her size, Bikini was deceptively fast, and she had hoods plopped on the two before they even had a chance to say hello. "Where's the onryo?" She asked curtly.
"The on-what?" Phoenix blinked at her rather slowly.
"The spirit! Where's the spirit!" Bikini exclaimed.
"W-we don't know." Phoenix jumped.
"Then we must look for it! Where is everyone that was on the bridge that day!"
"Uh...well...it's lunch...so they're probably eating..." Phoenix pointed at the cafeteria, which was on the other side of the campus and therefore not actually in sight.
"Then why are you over here?!" Bikini demanded.
"We were going to get some ramen." Phoenix replied. Bikini got a twinkle in her eyes that Phoenix did not like.
"Some ramen eh?" She smirked. God, how did she managed to make that sound dirty? This woman was worse than Larry. "Well you can have ramen after we banish the spirit!" Bikini declared. "Sorry, dear." She apologized to Iris for having to say 'banish the spirit' about her sister.
"We really were just getting-" Phoenix was being cut off by the hefty woman tossing her clunky bag at him.
"Let's go!"

Gregor listened to Chris' account, eyes narrowing. "Possession, huh? Unusual, but not impossible. To tell the truth, from what I know of Dahlia before she died, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that her true soul had been pulled into the depths of Hell before we even met her and the Dahlia we knew was simply a demon that had taken up residence in her body." He shrugged. "Heck, it could very well be that demon we're dealing with now...or a legion of them, for that matter."

Having heard Jade's question about the drawings, he turned his gaze in that direction. He was just in time to see Emi mutter "Don't know", look around, and resume drawing. It was almost imperceptible, but her calm expression seemed to change. For the space of half a second, her eyes appeared to flash with fear, revulsion, or a mixture of both. Whether this had in fact happened or not, its effect on Gregor was unquestionably real. It put a sharp stabbing pain in his chest, as if someone had driven a stiletto through his heart. He didn't know if he could do anything to help, but he had to try. No conscious thought was needed to set him walking toward her. Hurting enough for the both of them, he stood over her, attempting to make eye contact. "Emily...are you okay? Is there anything I can do?"

The lecturer droned on and on, as lecturers do. Normally Doug would have paid attention to them. However, this wasn't normal circumstances; he was feeling abnormally tired. Of all the times Dahlia could've picked to strike back, it was after he stayed up all night watching the Doctor Who Marathon. That show was addictive, but then it was from the UK.

He closed his eyes for a second and.... fire. There was fire, and everyone around him was burning. In the middle of the Flames was Dahlia but... she was on fire too.
"It's funny how you pushed me into this, isn't it" she said sadly and bitterly. Doug shrugged and tried to find a fire extinguisher. It just sprayed out more flames though, so he put it down. "All you had to do was just let me have the access to the lab, but no. You had to tell them"
"I was doing my duty" Doug replied un-commitedly. He had no time for her games.
"But I LOVED you!" She cried. Suddenly, Doug began to chuckle, before laughing hysterically.
"YOU! YOU!? You only wanted me for the poison, and I fell for it." he chuckled widly "I'm way past that now, I've found something better." He suddenly stopped laughing; she'd found her leverage. "Oh crap."

Suddenly, he saw Emi on fire, in pain, shrieking. Doug began to panic, looking wildly around for some way to escape. But all he saw were her golden eyes stating back at him.
"HOW COULD YOU LET ME DIE!" She shouted in her character-less voice. "You've made me die and now I'm in hell!"
"WHAT?!" He shouted back "You're still alive!" Dahlia popped into the picture and smirked.
"Oh, don't worry." she cackled. "I'll make sure she dies. And it will be all your fault because you didn't save her!"
"You... you're lying!" Doug shrieked! "She wasn't the one I saw in my vision!"
"Exactly" Dahlia replied. "If you manage to save them, then Emi dies. The choice is yours."

Doug suddenly opened his eyes and gave a massive scream before falling off the back of his chair. Under the normal circumstances, the Lecturer would have been cross and the students would have laughed at him. But most of them knew about what happened to him in the cafeteria earlier, and they helped him out of the hall and into the room next door so he could calm down. He suddenly had the urge to draw, and got out the piece of paper from earlier on. He began to frantically draw on it, and when he'd finally put the pencil down he remembered who it was that was hanged in his vision. He stood up shakily and ran towards the cafeteria as fast as his legs could carry him.

(OOC: Just in case you weren't sure, Doug doesn't know that Dahlia was in Emi but he knows now who Dahlia is trying to kill. We as the audience know now that if Doug and the others manage to save the person, then Dahlia will make Emi kill herself. I need to know who Dahlia wants to kill though.)

"S-sister Bikini?! How did you know about..." No, she could ask about that later. What was important is that Bikini's sudden intrusion made Iris finally grasp the severity of the situation. Her sister was still out there, unable to rest, driving her friends against each other, everyone she cared about was suffering, and what was she doing? Going out on a date. What was she thinking? How could she-no, focus, Iris! A guilt trip could wait until later, too. Taking Phoenix's arm, she ran alongside him after the priestess.

Phoenix was pretty used to being pulled. He was usually the unwilling wingman in Larry's schemes as a boy, and sometimes in adulthood, so being dragged around by Bikini wasn't something that felt odd or new. However, being pulled by Iris, that took a second to sink in as reality. There was such a determined look on her face too. It was...different.
He couldn't help but smile.

Meanwhile Emi suddenly shut her sketchbook. She'd run out of pages and it was time for a new one. As was habit for her she tossed the book off to the side, but instead of getting a fresh one out of her bag she slung the bag on her shoulder and walked towards the building. She did this without a single word or even brief glance at those around her. This, however, wasn't all that unusual.

Banishment. Purification. Exorcism. Whatever you wanted to call it, it was the act of forcefully expelling a spirit from the living world, a world in which it no longer belonged, forever. That much was known. What wasn't quite certain was the fate of exorcised spirits. It was like someone being sent to a deserted island nobody else could ever find with no communication with the rest of the world and no chance of ever being rescued. How would you know if anything happened to that person? It was a poor example, of course; the afterlife was far more final than being stranded on a deserted island.
Spirits usually didn't remain in the living world because they wanted to do so; they did because they had unfinished business, unresolved emotions. Would they ever be able to find peace without having the chance to complete what they were unable to while they were alive? Were they destined to writhe in darkness for the rest of eternity? Would their souls even survive a forced return to the afterlife by powers strong enough to flush them out of an entire plane of existance, or would even that remainder of their identity be shattered by the journey and lost forever?
"Sister..." Iris spoke up to Bikini as they hurried to the others, her thoughts making louder and louder threats to her willpower by the second. "I know we have to stop her, but...is there no other way to do this?"

"There are several, dear." Bikini's voice was rather gentle as she spoke to Iris. It was a tone that she rarely ever used, but then it was rare that sister Bikini felt the need to be completely serious. "Banishment, conviction, redemption." She listed them off. "Banishment I've already mentioned. Conviction is if we can make her return to where she came of her own will. A simple enough task of Dahlia is weak willed and confused as to what it is she truly wants. Redemption is much harder. For that we'd have to make her see what she's done is wrong. She'll have to want to atone and will accept the punishment."

"R-right..." A speck of hope was better than none at all, she supposed. Iris wasn't exactly sure what her twin's goal was in doing this, but she was anything but weak-willed; Dahlia always despised losing and giving up above most everything else. On the other hand, redemption...
It had been Iris' greatest wish since reuniting with her sister to save her from the destructive downward spiral her life had taken, and now Dahlia's soul was very literally on the line. The question was...could she really do it? She'd been trying to show her sister the error of her ways for years to no avail, and her last 'rescue' attempt resulted in...
Things were even worse now. It was bad enough that Dahlia was certainly even more twisted by her thirst for vengence against those that 'hurt' her, but now she had no physical limitations. Was it even possible to save Dahlia now? The longer she remained in this world, the longer she would torment everyone Iris cared about. Delaying a quicker solution for a redemption that would never come would be subjecting Iris' friends to further undue pain with nothing to show for it...
As Iris' determination faltered, her grip on Phoenix's hand followed suit. What should she do? What could she do? Why was she not yet used to the sensation of her heart being used as a rope in a tug-of-war match?

Watching Emi abruptly leave the area without sparing anyone so much as a glance, Gregor felt his sorrow double. Something was definitely wrong. He had no solid clue what it was, but...It was then that he noticed her discarded sketchbook. It was a long shot, but there might be a clue to her condition in the drawings. He leafed through. Violence of the most gruesome kind held his eyes hostage as he viewed the pages. A light bulb came on in his head. Poor girl...she's probably suffering from long-buried resentment. It's becoming too much to contain and manifesting itself in her art. ...I can't allow this to continue. She needs someone to sound her out. He looked around briefly, eyes hardening with determination. And it might as well be me. I seem to be the only one who's noticed anyway. Now on a mission, he deftly put the sketchbook in his backpack--just in case he needed to confront her with it--and set out after her.

Suzumi had watched Gregor check the sketchbook over his shoulder and was rather worried, not to mention freaked out.walk after Emi.
"What in the world has she done these for...?." One picture showed Meghan, dead, Chris holding a knife with blood. Another showed Chris falling off a cliff, the next showed him dead due to the fall.

Before she could say anything, Gregor had put it in his backpack and ran off.

"What are yo-" But he had already left, leaving Suzumi puzzled.

Meanwhile, Emi...or Dahlia was walking back to her room.

"Tee hee...have I got a treat for them! And all by the hands of this stupid, snivelling little girl...and maybe even more." She thought in Emi's mind.

Chris noticed Emi leave, but before he could follow, she had left. He noticed Gregor looking at the sketchpad and then leaving. But before he could follow him, Jade came back. "Heeeey, big broooother!"

"Oh no," he facepalmed. "Hey, Jade."

"Listen, listen! Things feel so weird down here, y'know?" She jumped up and down.

"How so?" Chris asked her, tilting his head. For things feeling weird, she's sure jumpy. Oh wait, she always is.

"That girl who draws everything? You know her?"

"Yeah?"

Jade looked off to the side as she responded. "She was drawing some really weird things..."

"Really?" Chris snapped to attention; he knew how Emi drew. "She draws by what she sees, she has a photographic memory."

"If she has a photographic memory..." Jade sounded serious as she looked at her brother with a straight face. "...Why was she drawing bad things about you and Meg?" She indicated Meghan, who Chris was currently holding close to him.

"She... what?" Chris sounded disbelieving. "'Bad things'...? Like what?"

"Like you falling off a cliff due to her being dead... a couple of people hanged... and Mr. Gregor and some other guy strangling each other."

Chris looked shocked. "Y-You can't be serious! Emi... drew that...!? You have to be... You MUST be..."

"I'm not kidding." Jade's face didn't even show the slightest hint of a smile; Chris knew that if she were joking, she wouldn't be able to hide it. "I swear to you that I saw it."

Stefan, once again, had eavsdropped on someone. Chris and Jade this time.

"I haven't heard a swear pass your lips, firstly. Secondly, I swear to Odin that I'm not slightly insane, but that doesn't mean it's not true." Stefan didn't say this in an expected, wacky and unserius why. He said it while looking completely serious, and din't crack a smile and day 'I was jokin'!' straight afterwards. "If someone's drawing prophecies, then you shalt not smite them for their abilties."

((This is evidence that Stefan both worships Odin and is probably slightly insane. Although he might just have been random. The plot fails to thicken. Oh, and he uses the term 'smite'.))

Chris rose his eyebrow at Stefan. "I realize you might be swearing to Odin that you might be correct, but I'm afraid you are mistaken. Emi cannot see the future; she can only see the present. She's not omniscient." Chris looked perfectly serious as he said this. "I've known her for a long while now, and I know she is not capable of this. Whether or not you believe it, you don't know her."

"Evidently, she doesn't have a high opinon of you, then. From what your... sister, is it? - has said. Correct?" He looked on, oblivious to any rising anger. He grabbed something from an empty table - a knife. Not extremely sharp, but enough to cut someone if pressed hard. It has a plastic handle, and Stefan absentmindedly threw it into the air. The knife twirled as it cut through the air, and as it came back down, he caught it in his hand again, handle in hand. He did so again. In fact, he repeated it in a beat. Up, twirl, down, twirl, catch. It was one of his unbroken habits - however, he doubted that anyone in the hall knew that.

((BTW, if you think Stefan's acting suspicious, it's intended 8U ))

"You might want to ask her as well, since she and Gregor know that this isn't right. Say it all you want, she's not omniscient. She can't see the future. She's not psychic."

A crease of annoyance flitted across Stefan's brow. "Other then a mildly unfunny offhand joke, I haven't claimed anything of the sort." The rhythm of the knife grew in tempo - yet, Stefan stil caught it with his hand without it being cut. "Whatever you say - if she's drawing you dead, there's a reason behind it, no doubt. Unless of course she hates you - which from what you've eben saying, she doesn't - you may as well see why she wishes you dead to the extent it;s been drawn in a sketchbook. He didn't raise his lips beyond the point of comprehnsible speak.

Chris didn't change his tone as he quickly replied, "You need to be clearer of just what you claim, then." His voice carried an air of annoyance. "I don't feel like intruding on Emi's business. It seems that Gregor's already checking that out. Right now, we have a much more pressing matter on our hands, if you recall. The Dahlia 'ghost' spirit, as it were."

As he said 'ghost spirit,' he heard that fake innocent giggle again.

"Are you growing annoyed? I hope you are... tee hee."

This time, Chris didn't even move - he didn't want to alert other people to her presence... it seemed that only he saw the spirit... but how? How could only he see and hear her?

This seemed to be exactly what she wanted. "Oh yes, you're going completely and utterly insane, aren't you? Am I bugging you? Hee hee... If I can't teach you a lesson while I'm alive, I'll teach it to you while I'm dead..."

As the incessant talking began to annoy him, Chris' migraine grew. He then grasped his head, as if cradling it from the pain.

((OOC: No, he's not getting possessed. She's just giving him a major migraine... attempting to knock him unconscious and get him out of the way. Which could make Emi's target either him or Meghan.))

Stefan had turned away as soon as Chris had started talking again. He pocketed the knife, and snatched a second, sharper one from a nearby table, it too went in his pocket. He moved back towards the exit, not looking at the Hall siblings on the way out. He attempted to note that he had been far more annoyed and agressive with Chris then he normally would of been, but his mind swept it away.

Emi continued down the hallway with a stone blank face and an evenly paced walk. This was something she did every day. She even used the same amount of footsteps each time to get to her room. If someone was in her way that would disrupt that flow she simply walked through them. This often made the person being bumped into angry, but the ones used to her often just moved out of the way. Emi wasn't quite as unnoticed as she often thought, it was just that most people found her to be unapproachable and strange. These were both very true.
This was why when Gregor called her name and tried to stop her she continued down the hall undeterred. If he wanted to speak with her he'd have to either walk alongside her, or wait until she stopped in front of her room.

Phoenix felt the grip on his hand slack some and the determined look on Iris' face slip away after she heard the conditions for redemption. He was a bit torn as to what he should say to try and get that moment of confidence back. He should have thought that Dahlia was beyond being saved, and that telling her so would be the right thing to do, but he didn't actually feel that way. No matter how horrible Dahlia had been to him he still felt like there was a chance to save her. No one could be possibly lost forever.
He opened his mouth to say that, but Bikini interrupted by yelling into the cafeteria crowd.
"If any of you are currently possessed by an evil spirit I ask that you give up your host now!" This caused quite a few people to look strangely in her direction. Bikini sighed. "Why do they always play hard ball?" She unzipped the clunky bag in Phoenix's arms and pulled out a several vials of liquid. One she handed to Iris. "Help me, would you?" She smiled and sprinkled some water on a random person walking by. Nothing happened. "Darn, it's never the first one either." She muttered.
"Um...what are those for?" Phoenix wondered.
"It's a specially blessed water that will react to the skin of a person with more than one spirit residing in them. Sort of like how bad jewelry will turn you green." Bikini explained before splattering some in his face. Phoenix crinkled his nose, but nothing happened to him otherwise.
"It smells like cat pee." He observed.
"Yes, well, it's an unfortunate side effect. Don't worry, it washes out in a few days or so." Bikini splattered another random person.
"Great..." Phoenix muttered.

Chris saw Bikini, Phoenix and Iris come in. "Uh oh, she's splattering water on random people. Either she's gone insane... or, hey, that's holy water." He decided to make as little noise as possible; the last thing he needed was to smell like... what did he hear Phoenix say? 'Cat pee?' Yeah, that's it.

Iris tossed a weak smile at Phoenix before wandering off to another part of the cafeteria. First thing's first: she needed to actually find Dahlia. There was no sense mulling over what to do about her until then.
Just as she was about to approach a couple sharing some pizza, she caught Chris out of the corner of her eye and rushed over to him. If her sister was going to target anyone, it'd more likely be him than a random student. Iris skipped her normal formalities and extended her hand to him, palm up. "Please let me see your arm for a moment."

Chris sighed as he saw Iris come up. "Great, she's got that water too. Dammit." When she got up to him and asked him to hold out his arm, he wanted to refuse. There was no way he was smelling badly for a few days. But he also knew that if he refused, more than likely she would suspect that Dahlia was inside of him and she would probably force-spray him. Hearing the innocent giggle, he stuck out his arm. More than likely this wasn't going to be enough to drive out Dahlia's spirit, since it wasn't actually inside him, but since he was the only one that could see and hear her, maybe it would work...

Even if he had to smell like cat pee for a few days.

"I'm very sorry about this..." Iris mumbled bashfully. She opened the vial of holy water and carefully poured a single drop on the back of Chris' arm. After watching for several moments and witnessing a whole lot of nothing materialize outside of the faint odor, she recapped her bottle and sighed. "It looks like you're alright." She lifted her head and scanned the area around them. "Have you seen the others?"

As Iris said he was alright, Chris heard the giggle again.

"Looks like that holy water did nothing... I'm not even inside you... Hee hee hee..."

Chris shook his head and looked up at Iris. "Gregor and Emi walked off towards the hallway... Suzumi's over there... and I have no idea where that other guy is."

He wished that Dahlia would stop talking into his head.

Phoenix and Bikini worked out a bit of a system as they moved through the cafeteria. Bikini would splatter them, they would yell 'hey!' or some other random objection, and Phoenix would bow and apologize. They made it over to Iris and the others at about the time he was mentioning whereabouts.
"Hmmm." She yanked the bag from Phoenix's arms and tossed it at Chris. "You will help me cleans the area." She told him once he caught the bag. She yanked out some more evil warding hoods and crammed them on both Chris and Jade's heads. "Iris, you and Mr. Lucky go find anyone else that was on the bridge that day and bring them here, but don't test them for spirits. I'm going to need her outside and in a cleansed area, understand?"
