Zero made the sand separate from her and then she concentrated her power on her own body. She had never tried levatation before, but now was as good a time as any. She slowly and awkwardly floated from the quicksand. She landed on her stomach a few yards from Nightmare and restrengthened her sand gauntlet before scrambling to her feet.
I need to work on that...

She reached out with her senses and kept track of Nightmare. She concluded that she should stay down there for now and find an opportunity.... unless Nightmare comes knocking first.

There was something... strange about her. Almost like how I felt about that Aletheia woman. What was that power she just binded me with...? It was unlike anything I've ever seen...

She knew that this was definitely not reality, but she couldn't stop herself from falling into a panic. The world she always felt safe knowing it was there.... was nowhere to be found. Just darkness and a Nightmare she knew did not exist.

"I'm afraid I can't. Then she would just wake up and attack me again," Nightmare said calmly before disappearing. Tsunami clenched her fists angrily. Then, she relaxed.
"Zero, if we just stay calm, I'm sure we can find a way out of this. Whatever you do, don't attack that woman, whatever her name is," Tsunami said. "Then we might just be attacking our own allies."

She reached out with telekinetic power, but couldn't find anything to use. She tried it on herself, and she levitated.

"Then there's probably a trap on the other side of the door," Tsunami said. "I'm not buying it."
"Fine," Nightmare said. Even though they were surrounded by darkeness, Tsunami could see the ground disappearing all around her and Zero and felt herself falling. She instinctively grabbed the closest thing to her, which was the door. It swung open and sucked her inside. Tsunami screamed on her way in.

Zero's grip slipped from the doorknob and she was falling........falling in the darkness.
Then suddenly everything was hot sun and gritty earth. Zero got to her feet and spit out the sand that had gotten into her mouth.
Ty and the sisters were still fighting, but Nightmare and Tsunami...

Once again, her body took over automatically.
She shot up in the air as the fire impacted with the sand she was just standing on.
This was levitation, but much more controlled. Zero wasn't floating slowly or awkwardly and using it wasn't so taxing on her energy. It was actually more like flying! She swooped down to regain her sand gauntlet and shot through the air at high speeds to help her friends.
I don't know who I am or where I came from... but if I am capable of things like this, I should be in danger more often!

An impact jolted Ty, sending him flying back... but he got up again, and looked to see if the trick really had worked.
"Wooo... who'd have thought the lightning-rod idea would've worked? Hehe-Gck...owch..." Ty had been shocked, but only as a result of standing too close to what he had thrown right in front of himself.
There, on the ground, was a trowel stuck into the sand, with a slightly wet rope tied around the metal of the trowel, now blackened at what would have been head, chest, and knee level for where it had been thrown in the air.
"You are the impulsive type, aren't you? Gck... Rushing recklessly without actually thinking how the ups and downs, the mechanics, the--gck... (dang spasms) ...you get the drift..." The whole time Ty had been talking, he had swapped his music back to 'driving'-rock, and used his gained psychic powers to subtly draw water from the large crater by where Zero and Nightmare had been fighting, spreading it over the sands by Finn's feet, and as close to Apocalypse's feet as he could get.
"So, how ma-much volts ARE you h-packing?" Ty was stuttering now, not because of the shock, but because he was trying to keep his speech regular and not the 'ye olde' that using the telekinesis caused.
The last thing he did before switching back to the orchestral-Precognition was to psychically nudge Zero on her shoulder, hoping to get her attention and tip her off as to what he was trying to do...
'Just as much of a chance she'll catch on as you'll be able to get out of this without having to reveal your powers, Ty...'

"Hmmm..." Finn fired a bolt of lightning at the ground. The water electrifies immediately as Finn soared into the air.
"Nice try." He said, and fired the same pattern again, but kicking the rod out of the way first.

Zero's heart fluttered and her breath was quick. Moving at such high speeds was exhilarating. Her sky-blue hair was puffed up from all of the air moving past it. Even though the desert was hot, she felt cool from the wind chill. She suddenly felt dizzy and stumbled into Tsunami.

From Ty's headphone, music could be heard; a fast paced, electronic-type song, with a very upbeat rhythm.
If somebody could have visually kept up with Ty's movements, they would have been able to see the trio of lightning-fast kicks he performed to Finn's side, a real cheap shot, before dashing away back to where he had been standing before he started.
"Your lightning so far is as slow as your focus, so let's see how well you can manage when you face somebody as fast as real lightning." He said, bouncing from one foot to the other, as he panted heavily.

She stopped and she started to have flashbacks of the night before.
Ice.... cold.... Lightningbolt crushed beneath.... because.... because of her....
"...Aletheia. You killed him."
An expression crept into Zero's face that no one had ever seen before. Her usually stony orange eyes became fiery. Her fists clenched until her knuckles turned white. She stared at Aletheia with pure, unadulterated hatred. Angry tears started streaming down her face. Her powers grew wild: objects floated and the area around her started to rumblle dangerously.
"I'll never forgive you! You killed him! I'LL KILL YOU!!!"

"It won't work!" Nightmare said, suddenly appearing right next to Aletheia. "Her body might be able to handle getting rid of all that excess energy, but to not use it would surely kill her. Right now, we have to get away from her, or she will surely kill us." Nightmare grabbed Tsunami and Apocalypse and levitated out of there really quickly, hoping Aletheia would be alright.
