Vita walked past the two girls, inexplicably wearing a stethoscope, while still looking rather casual. "'scuse me ladies." Due to the fact that Vita had been keeping his head down, he did not recognize the two Reapers until he walked pas them. Upon realizing so, he turned around, still wearing the stethoscope, while attempting to be casual. "Oh, hello there. And how would you two be?" He did not offer to explain why he had come to 104; until he realized that he was going to be asked in the end. "Oh, this," He tapped his stethoscope, "and why I am here is because of the Taboo Noise. I'm checking Ten-Four with this Taboo-Noise-sensor," he tapped the stethoscope again "although I think that the support Reaper he told me that was drunk... Hm... And I see you are a Prince fan. Enjoy fangasming over him."

((I maintain that Vita needs to get out more. Other then to kill dead people.))

"No. Absolutely not. No chance. Never. I'm as likely to unblock the routes as I am likely to say something as weird as wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey. Except for when I just said it, because it was an example. In short, I will not be unblocking the routes. They're there for a reason. If there's somewhere that's been confirmed as having no relation to the Taboo Noise, we'll seal it off to make sure that nothing gets in there. I'm about to check Ten-Four and go up to A-East. Which is why I have the Taboo Noise sensor with me." he blinked, hoping the crowds would part soon.

"Awww...well, okay, if you say so." Himiko spoke. She then approached the prince for an autograph. A few minutes later, she came out of the crowd squealing.

"HE KISSED ME ON THE HAND! HE SAID I WAS CUTE! AND HE GAVE ME AN AUTOGRAPH!" Himiko screamed. She then saw Yumiko giving her a strange look.

"Um, okay...new bracelet...new...Aha!" She picked up one from a nearby rack.

"This is brand new, with the spikes infused with a mix of steel and diamond, so it's stylish, but won't break! And the strap is of a special leather made only in Honshu, and it's been rated five stars in Shibuya Trend Setters!" She handed it to Yumiko.

"You can't get much better then that!" She then looked dreamily over at the prince again and sighed.

He heard Kendall shout his name back as he was transported to the other zone. He hoped she was ok. Suddenly he could see a giant grey elephant noise in front of him.
"Oh my God."
Before he could react, it charged forward at him and sent him flying through the air, blood spirted from his mouth as he hit a lampost. He fell to the floor, coughing. He got up. Ok now it was time to get serious.
He floated around hitting it with a barrage of attacks. He stopped quickly to take a breath, why wasn't anything working?
The noise charged at him again, and he just managed about dodged it.
N-no, I can't let Kendall down, if i fail, so does she...

Takai landed in the crossing where he noticed some other reapers. He defeated a couple of taboo noise that came at him, making sure not to be seen by the reapers. He was walking when he stopped. He could feel that a player was quite badly injured, he tuned into the noise zone to see a smartly dressed boy, being beaten by a taboo noise. Didn't he know that players needed the light puck to defeat taboo noise? He watched, there didn't seem to be any light puck. He switched to see that players partner. She was faring better than him, but still no light puck. He switched back to watch the boy.
Hmm... that pendant around his neck, it seemed to be blocking the light puck, this wasn't good. He flew forward and took out the noise with his scythe.

Suddenly the noise became a hiss of static, and he was back with Kendall.
"Are you ok?" he asked grabbing her hand. Doing this he could see a Reaper with a scythe off.
"You should take that pendant off when your fighting taboo noise"
Hikaru was about to respond, but the reaper flew off.
"What the hell...?"

Not long after the light puck flew away, Brett felt it's power again. He felt in sync with Mari, as well. The normal street corner became a wavy blur of light. Beams of light shot out in a star pattern. Brett hopped on, crashing into a few Noise on his way around. At that moment, giant crowns began falling from the sky like meteors, again injuring the Noise greatly. Brett continued to dash around on the light beams, and at one point he thought he saw his partner. Soon enough, though, the beams disappeared, the crown stopped falling from the sky, and the street returned. The Noise were already vanquished, and Brett began to return from his zone into Shibuya.

((I'm prone to large amounts of procrastination and writer's block and plain laziness··· DX))

Mari had never felt so··· connected to someone in her whole life. If this hadn't been in the heat of battle, she would of been highly embarrassed to admit it. Nevertheless, she was suddenly enveloped with an intense feeling of power, and found herself rising up from the ground.

A star··· surfboard of light appeared in front of Mari, and it felt natural to just hop on. She was glad she did this, as it began to shoot away and for a moment she was convinced she had been in two zones at once. The light was blinding as Mari and Brett unleashed their ultimate attack, and the crowns that fell from the sky fell with the velocity of meteors, destroying Noise in their wake. Mari crashed to the ground, and it was all over···

Mari returned to the UG, consciousness shifting and fading. Groggily, she tried to make sense of what had happened, but all was lost to darkness as she fell back, her head cracking against the pavement.

(YAY MORE REAPERS 8D I'll give you something to work with, Nex.)

"What the heck?" Rae picked herself up off the floor and looked around. She was just about to talk to Takai and Yumiko and now she was in the Scramble.
"Oh joy, another day. How useful, is that?" she grumbled.
This wasn't the first time a day had ended when she was in the middle of something important she hadn't seen Yumiko in quite a long time and could have done with her company.

Spotting some taboo noise, she equipped herself with her guitar and sent out a devastatingly powerful riff, erasing most of the small to medium sized ones. Honestly, sometimes she was surprised at her own strength. Well, it was the guitar that made her strong, without it she was weak, but no-one knew that yet. She REALLY couldn't be bothered with this, she struck the guitar the over the heads of the remaing noise with all her might and she were erased.

"Phoof" she sighed, blowing strands of hair out of her face. "That was a doozy."

Not too far away Takai was talking to the boy, the one who she gave the pendant for Mr. H. He was running towards her and she stopped him. "Takai, what the heck is up with all the taboo noise?"

I'm not going to be here very often anymore.

Yumiko rolled her eye. “Himiko, you’re such a fangirl,” she sighed. “But congrats,” she said, trying to sound enthused. She raised an eyebrow at the new bracelet. “Damn, girl....That looks expensive.” She whistled. “Diamond spikes?” She rolled her eyes. “Um, alright...But I don’t think I can afford it. I’m only eighteen! I don’t have any money!” She chuckled. “How do you suppose I’m gonna buy this?”

Kendall slashed at the Noise, grunting with exertion. “Damn...” she said, panting. “This...thing...is..insane..” She stumbled, and fell to the ground. The Noise descended upon her, slicing at her with its claws. She screamed as the claws tore through her skin. Suddenly, the Noise was gone. Kendall felt herself transported back to Hikaru. “H-Hikaru...?” she mumbled, her vision blurry. She was bleeding heavily from her various wounds. With a puff of breath, she fainted.

Himiko was about to step out of the store when she heard Yumiko's comment.

She turned and her face had taken on a truly demonic look. Her wings flared large and intimidatingly and her eyes were dark red. Her hands stared to become scaly and sprout feathers.

"I'm sorry. Did you say something?" She asked Yumiko.

Images swam before Mari's eyes: her life before the Game raced through her mind in all but seconds as she floated between darkness and consciousness.

Some people say your life flashes before your eyes before you die, but what if you're already dead···?

On her family, Mari didn't reflect much; instead her flight of mind glanced through mundane memories, but focussed briefly on more meaningful ones···

Her first kiss.

First day of school.

The last day of her life···

She remembered it clearly: crossing the road, earphones in - she didn't see, didn't hear···

Until it was too late. The van's front collided with her, sending her flying back and her head snapped back as she hit the road. The last thing she remembered was the indistinct face of the joyrider··· But it was lost to her now, and if satisfied by events, her mind returned to the present···

"Brett," she said, thickly, drunkly, the strangely metallic taste of blood congealing in her mouth.

"Brett···"

She didn't notice the two Reapers headed their way···

"Shit!" Yumiko swore, seeing the girl lying on the pavement. "Sh-Should we help her?" she stuttered. She was torn: as a Reaper, her job was to erase Players. But as a person.... She shuddered. "Duty comes first..." she murmured. She walked over to the girl. "Whatcha all up to?" she said rudely. "So sorry you're hurt, miss. I'd help, but I can't. Being who I am, and all. Sorry 'bout that. I'llb e nice enough not to finish you off," she said to the girl. Turning to the boy crouching protectively over his partner, she said, "Here. Take this." She shoved a onyx medallion into his hand. A flash of silver light enveloped his hand. "There. Press that onto her wounds. But be careful: it'll sap your strength."

Brett was beginning to lose hope when he heard Mari say something. "Mari? I'm right here. I--" He noticed a reaper walked over and tensed up. He was scared. 'Oh, not now. Any time but now.' He decided to glare at her as she walked over. Upon hearing Mari would be fine, he breathed a sigh of relief and calmed a little.

"Huh?" He took the medallion, not sure what to do with it. The silver light made him jump a little. "Right." Nodding, he placed a hand over Mari's mouth. "You're going to be alright, Mari." He began to sting and ache all over. Still, he tried to hold back the pain. It showed a little, and he grunted at first, but he kept still. He turned to the kind reaper again. "Th... thank you."

He nodded in agreement to her vow of silence. "Right." Then she continued. 'Yeah yeah...' He was going to say something about 'you can choose not to,' but decided against it.

"Uhh... It's Brett. And yeah, something like that." he said, sheepishly. Her grin was creeping him out a bit, and the circumstances weren't very uplifting either. 'The reapers have been pretty talkative lately...'

Takai had just took from the players as mysteriously as he could when he almost collided with Rae. Thankfully she stopped him just before he did.
"Oh sorry Rae" he tried to say casually. He hoped she hadn't noticed him helping them players. His face became a bit more serious when she mentioned the Taboo noise.
"I really don't -" a taboo noise jumped at him suddenly, he quickly side stepped,"-know" he finished, slashing the noise in half.
He rested the scythe on his shoulder. "There's got to be someone producing them, but i really can't think of who it would be."

Hikaru heard Kendall say his name, but she sounded weird, sorta muffled.
"Kendall?"
It was then he felt something warm and sticky touch his hand, and everything went dark. He moved his other hand in surprise and it brushed her side, again he felt something warm and sticky. His chest went tight.
"Kendall! No, Ohmygod your bleeding, your really hurt!" he panicked and started hyperventilating, tears coming to his eyes. She didn't reply. He didn't know what to do. Panicking he took a cure drink pin out of his pocket and focused on it with all his might. Nothing happened. Why wouldn't it work? He hit the pavement in frustration. Tears streamed down his face.
"Kendall... no... please..." He hugged her close. "Kendall... you... you can't leave me. I-I think I love you"

Vita walked back through the Scramble, his wings fully out spread, almost doubling his body in both height and length. One of the wings was behaving like a typical Reaper wing, while the other wing was in front of Vita, the lower half of it transformed into a lyre-like design. He carefully strummed the wing-lyre in a form of tune; while certainly not something likely to outshine Mozart, it seemed to attract the Taboo Noise towards him a little. When he had a rather large gathering of the Taboo Noise around him, his lyre-wing quickly shifted into becoming a normal wing again as both wings shrunk into sizes that worked for combat, as he bent his knees and sprung into the air, his wings casually flapping in order to keep him afloat, despite him not really needing to use them for that purpose - he could keep himself in the air without his wings out, but this seemed a little more natural. Several Noise symbols gathered around his feet, giving his feet them the look of bird claws as he dived onto the ground, the Noise symbols vanishing and a shock wave coming from the point of impact and spreading towards the gathered Noise, erasing the weaker of them. He proceeded to grab the Taboo Noise by their slimmest body part - the Noise disintegrated in his hands, while his gloves began to smoulder whenever he did so; wisps of blue gas came from them as they smouldered. Vita began to pant slightly as he performed the automatic process of grabbing and burning.

While it would have been easier to use his gun, the gunshot would have been more of a Taboo Noise attraction then the wing-lyre. He headed out of Scramble towards AMX, where he sat down on the steps leading up to the store, breathing heavily.

"Um, Yumiko? Are you sure it's a good idea to help these two?" Himiko asked, a little confused. She then saw the guy called Brett closer. Hearts appeared in her eyes.

"Hey there, Mr Handsome!" She spoke to him.

"My name is Himiko Daisuke! And this grandma is Yumiko." She added, pointing to her.

"I've been made Game Master for the day, so how about you two play a little game with us? If you win, we'll let you go back to what you were doing before." Himiko asked, tilting her head and wondering how they would react.

Mari was about to pass out again when Brett healed her. She felt the pain leave her and her mind cleared the fog it had been trapped in. She felt better and better, but she could also sense the adverse effects it was having on her partner, so she stopped him before he hurt himself seriously. She sat up, cradling her neck, and heard what the young - very young - Reaper was saying.

Her blood boiled at "Mr. Handsome,"··· Inexplicably, she wanted to slap this idiot of a girl, and her cheeks flushed a deep red.

There's no reason for me to do that. She can take an interest in whomever she wants.

She bit her lip as she considered the request. Mari, who would never even admit pain nor feelings otherwise, staggered to her feet.

"I accept."

'Mr. Handsome?' thought Brett, a little confused. 'What is she, 12?' Feeling his partner push his hand away, he smiled. "Mari! You're alright?" His smile twisted upon hearing she'd accepted the challenge. He pushed himself off the ground, which took a lot more work than he would've liked, and coughed out, "We accept."

"Tee hee! Okay then, Mr Handsome! And, uh, what's your name, old hag." She nodded to Mari.

"Yumiko, give me a hand here!"

Himiko began to make signs on the ground.

"Okay, we're gonna play Reaper Sport 6, Target! Okay, the rules are that Noise are going to come out of these three signs." She pointed to the spot she had created and the ones Yumiko were doing.

"Now, you've got shoot these Noise in the order they appear. One hit will take care of them. If you miss even one...then, well, game over!" Himiko giggled.

"They'll come from the up sign, the right sign and the left sign. More then one may appear, so..."

Himiko made a little toy space gun appeared in her hand. Yumiko had finished the signs as Himiko walked in front of Brett. Two Noise appeared from the left sign, and two more appeared at the right side and up side.

"Left shoot shoot, right shoot, up shoot!" She had zapped all of the Noise at an amazing speed. She turned to Brett and winked before giggling.

"As you see, Mr Handsome, I'm quite good at this game. Let's see how you are." She handed Brett her toy space gun and suddenly appeared next to Yumiko, behind the signs.

"Let's start! Up, left!" She commanded, and Noise appeared in those spots.

'Game over?' thought Brett, feeling a little chill. 'Oh god, what have I gotten into.' He plastered a ridiculously fake smile and watched Himiko blast the noise. That calmed him a bit. "Oh, this'll be fun." he muttered, not quite sure if he was serious or not. Taking the toy laser into both his hands, he focused intently on the targets.

Upon hearing Himiko call the Noise, he readied his gun and fired away. The one on the left he almost missed, just hitting the Noise's shoulder, but the middle he managed to hit almost dead in the center. He spun the gun on his finger and held it near his mouth, blowing gently. "Is that all?"

Mari was slightly concerned for Brett, as he stood up slower than he should've, but her focus changed quickly enough -

"what's your name, old hag."

Her eyes narrowed to slits as she surveyed Himiko. However, she let it slide. She offered a quick smile to the young Reaper, with such sincerity she would've been worried by.

She stood watching, as the Sport was explained and demonstrated, and attempted by Mr. Han- Brett. The game worried her slightly, those Noise were fast, and even should she succeed, there would be a catch. She sighed irritably.

Himiko giggled as she raised her arms, ready to summon more noise.

"Alright Mr Handsome, let's make it even funner! Right, Up, Left, Up!" Himiko cheered, more Noise popped out of the signs now.

Just as Brett had lowered his gun, Himiko began talking. Quickly, he grasped the gun and took aim. He got the Noise on the right just as it was about to disappear, and from there on he gained speed. The Noise were dispatched rather quickly, he thought. He let out a breath. "This isn't exactly what I'd call 'funner'." he said, frowning. "How many rounds do I have to go?"

Brett was surprised to see Himiko so angry. 'Figures.' he decided, readying his gun. Her immediate switch back to 'Tee-hee,' was even more unnerving. His jaw nearly unhinged when she started rattling off where to hit. He tried to hit the first few, but he quickly burst out into random shooting. After he finished, he panted, dropped the gun and looked up at Himiko. "You were joking, right? Haha." He grinned, or at least tried to.

Himiko's mouth had dropped. He had gone entirely randomly and yet still managed to hit all the Noise! Her mouth twitched.

"H-how...that was just luck! Pure luck!" She spoke, annoyed, bringing her shoulders up. This only made her look incredibly spoiled.

What about me...? thought Mari, suddenly feeling left out. She pouted, but couldn't stop herself trembling with worry when she saw Brett.

I hope everything'll be OK...

She almost yelled triumphantly when Brett defeated the Noise, but settled for a smug grin instead. What now? She seemed to be saying to the brat.

Himiko glared at Brett and his partner. Then she folded her arms and smiled.

"Well, I guess a promise is a promise!"

With a snap of her fingers, the Noise symbols on the floor had vanished. She then took her space toy gun back from Brett.

"Tee hee! You can go back to what you were doing before now!" She giggled.

When they stared at her, she let out a scream of laughter.

"What? Did you two actually think I was gonna let you out of the game? I only meant you could go back to playing it!" She laughed again.
