"Monferno," the device stated. "The Playful Pokémon and the evolved form of Chimchar. Monferno launches aerial attacks off of ceilings and walls, and its fiery tail is used as one of its weapons."
"Monferno, huh?" Canace muttered. She stuffed her Pokédex back in her pocket and gazed with a childlike curiosity at the evolved form of Chimchar, but only momentarily. "There's still a battle to be won here, Chimch-- er, Monferno! Use Mach Punch!"
The name of the attack spewed from her mouth so forcefully that even she was taken aback. She watched in hope and fear as Monferno's fists began to glow brightly and it leaped forward at the Onix, punching it sharply, causing the gym to be briefly illuminated with a blinding light. When it died down, Canace cautiously lowered her arm from where she'd put it to shield her eyes, and was shocked to see Monferno standing tall amidst clearing dust, smiling mischievously at the fallen Onix.

"Onix is unable to battle. The win goes to challengers Ivan and Canace", the ref announced. "Congratulations to both of you!" The trainers to the side cheered and Ivan felt the blood rush to his head. His first victory against a major opponent and he was being cheered for it. He had to admit; he wasn't cut out for the limelight but he could enjoy his momentary fame. He let out a huge grin and acknowledged his fans. He raised his fist and ushered a loud cry of victory.
Roark strolled across the arena. Ivan had to wonder; would this be considered a technicality? Would all of their hard effort be washed aside by something as natural as an evolution?
Clint hoped so. It meant he would have a second chance to earn his license.
Roark simply clapped his hands together. "I know what you're thinking. Don't worry about it." He turned to Canace. "You and your Chimchar have a tight bond. So tight, that it caused an unexpected event. But, what's important is that your trust and skill was enough to topple me and my top student. Congratulations! You've earned these", he said reaching into a pouch by his side and handing two shiny Coal Badges to the victorious trainers.
Ivan held his badge up to the ceiling lamps. It sparkled brightly. He could hardly believe it; he was officially one step closer to entering the Sinnoh League. One down, seven more to go.

"We did it...?" she swallowed, then turned to grin at Ivan ecstatically. "We did it! Haha!" She threw her hands in the air in joy, pumping her fist. "Yes!"
Roark nodded approvingly at Canace and Ivan in turn. "You two make a good team. Do you plan on working together at other gyms?"
Canace blinked, taken aback by his words. That's right, she thought. I hadn't even considered... what'd happen after this. What if Ivan doesn't want to continue working as a team? I probably wouldn't be much use...
She turned, halfheartedly, to Ivan, expectantly awaiting his reply to Roark's question.

((Okay this just came to me while I was playing my Pokemon Diamond. I think it should be okay if we have only have 2 Legendary Pokemon. I know what you guys are thinknig but there aren't that many Legendary Pokemon in the Sinnoh region. We will use the other Legendary Pokemon but not the Main Legendary Pokemon Inlcuding Arceus -.-))

She had to act quickly.
She pressed the small blade into the keyhole of the door, and began to twist it in the lock. At first, she wasn't sure it was long enough. But it just fitted.
Suddenly, she heard galactic guards approaching. The footsteps were enough to cause Rebecca to drop the blade to the floor, causing a small *clink*. Her entire body was racked with nerves.
...The footsteps kept going. They were walking by! Rebecca gave a sigh of relief and bent down, picking up the blade. She made a memo in her head to thank Lady Luck. Messing about with the lock some more, she heard a *click* and it opened! In the process however, the blade was stuck inside the lock. But she was free.
She edged out slowly, seeing if the coast was clear. There were no guards as far as she could see. She moved out and then broke into a run down the corridor.
She had to find Togepi. And hopefully free the other pokemon.
