Poor kid! He's all alone in Rio right now... Apparently he was hysterical on the phone until I talked to him...That is really scary! I would be freaked! I wouldn't know what to do! I'm glad that hasn't happened to me.

Maybe sleeping is the best thing you can do during this weekend. As my mom often said when I was younger, sleep will heal almost everything. I had to go to the hospital when I was 4 for prenumia, and I was in the hospital for 3 days. And then my mom checked into the same hospital a couple of floors up and my sister was born. My dad was really busy... and my most prominant memory is me being transported to the hospital (because I was essentially slowly drowning, but they didn't have the sirens on because I wasn't having a heart attack or something like that), and I also remember laying in my hospital bed one morning with an IV taped to my arm, and since I was hungry and my father was in the room, I asked him for toast, so he went off into the hallway and he never came back...
And I always kept on getting this nightmare that a doctor was pushing me though a hallway that was a shiny iron tube and it went in circles...
I'm just not a fan of hospitals, especially after House. I love the show, but if I got a doctor like house, I would smack him and tell him to be nice to me or I would dissolve into my hospital bed...
And I'm absolutly scared of drawing blood (and I'm quite surprised I've never had blood drawn), an I would like to donate blood but I'm
1) Scared to death of needles.
2) I'm too young (by a year)
3) I've left the country in the past year
4) Since I've lived in England for more than 6 months, the US thinks I have Mad Cow and won't let me donate blood. I don't think they've renewed that rule so I can't donate blood.
And I'm terrified of going under the knife. Especially at my stomach or my BRAINNNNN. I wouldn't be that scared of surgery on my leg or something- my brother had a huge surgery on his ear (7 hours, I think...), but I don't think would be that scared of that...
And I love the kiddy sections of hospitals. The adult section just scared me.

What!? You aren't able to donate blood if you've left the country in the past year? That's just plain weird! I think your country is just overreacting to this whole thing! And the fact that you've lived in England should not affect that. That's just crazy! I would like to donate blood too, but I'm under medication and I have an asthma. :/
