He got down on the ground and swapped the round mirror he was using for the same sharp edged mirror he had pulled out before. He used a point to scrawl quickly into the ground, as well as any of the daggers:
w/you. I am tired
of voices.
With a little thought, he added:
"Even if it is a trap," Hubris said to the rest, "you know what they say: sometimes the best way out of a trap is to spring it fast... or did I just make that up?"

Nadine jumped and looked around, trying to see who had thought it. She saw Hubris darting around a huge...thing. Her immediate response was anger, he had no right to hit her like that! But the droning was gone, so she grudgingly let some respect seep into her view of Hubris. She saw the lasers bouncing everywhere, and jumped to one side as a laser blasted the ground where she had been sitting. Nadine sprung to her feet, and drew her dagger.

Zalost threw his hands on the ground and the earth shook a bit, then chains started to sprout out of the ground directly under Nicholas. The chains wrapped around his arms and legs and dropped him to the ground.
