Apollo peeled the tape off quickly and pushed open the double doors, which creaked chillingly at the sudden movement. After carefully holding the doors in place so Linali could slip through in front of him, ducking beneath his arm.
Then, he finally looked up at Studio 4.
And what a studio it was.
Though it was in severe need of a dust and repairs, the unkempt feel of the place only made it seem more authentic.
It was a theatre- and not just any theatre, but the kind of theatre that one only expects to see in an old French film of some sort, a stage built for opera.
Apollo gazed around in awe at his surroundings, eyes tracing over the faded golden details on the walls, and the red velvet seats neatly lined across the floor. Though there were metal frames and scaffolding present in some corners (he was almost grateful for the presence of the film crew objects; it reassured him that he had't stepped back in time to some strange French land) it was still absurdly beautiful.
Finally, he looked to the stage.
And nearly had passionate heart burning red heart failure.
Partially concealed behind one of the thick, musky curtains that hung over the stage, Scarlet stood, staring out at the two visitors.
She was very still, and her one visible eye was wide, bleached white against the shadowing of her skin. Half a smile became visible.
"Oh... Hello..."

She was moving stiffly, as if hindered by something, but Apollo couldn't figure out exactly what. His mind was too preoccupied with wondering how she managed to appear out of nowhere.
As if reading his mind, the long haired woman answered his thoughts.
"I've been looking for my sister, so I've been going all around the building... I came in through the back..."
Then, her focus switched to Linali, who was tugging on one of her curls in thought.
"What's wrong, Scarlet?"
"... I just need to talk to you for a moment."
Linali understood that tone. She was really saying 'You are going to talk with me now', and the younger twin felt bile rise to the back of her throat. Something was definitely wrong.
Scarlet's unusually emotionless face was proof enough of that, and as she advanced towards the attorney and his client, both took an automatic step back. However, Scarlet casually brushed past Apollo, hair ghosting over his arm, and took Linali by the hand with a tenderness that didn't match her mood. Linali allowed Scarlet to lead her back out into the corridor, and looked back at Apollo with a shrug.
"I'll be right back, Mr. Justice!"
"O... Okay..."

"Well I only have my French license right now." Misty informed him. Blake tossed her his keys.
"I need you to pick me up some more film. There's only one place that sells the kind I need." He took a pen and her hand and started to write. "Here's some directions and-" He handed her a wad of cash from his pocket. "here's the money."
"But why do you need film, uncle Jake?" Misty blinked and she was being pushed out of the room.
"My camera is almost out. Now don't dawdle, okay?" He smiled her way and gave one last push. Misty ran down the hall. When she got to the end of it she turned and waved happily, Blake returned it and huffed a sigh of relief. With her gone he could explore the place more.
"Now let's see. If I wanted to drag a dead body to this room without anyone noticing how would I do it? Where would I start from..." Blake looked about.
[OOC: Just a quickie observation. If the killer is indeed still in the building, and not in one of the groups, Blake wandering on his lonesome could make him a target. Or possibly Misty on her way out, and if it gets her killed horror movie style I'm totally cool with that.]

Linali jumped slightly as Scarlet pulled the door shut behind her. Gazing around at her quiet sister, she assessed the situation quickly.
Silent Scarlet, separate room, small staff room. Click heard from the door. Why has she locked the door?! The younger twin felt uneasy.
“… Scarlet? What’s wrong?”
“… Linali…” The eldest took a step forward, voice breaking out into one her charmingly eerie smiles- but it was forced, and there was the smallest of twitches beneath her right eye. That alone set off alarm bells in Linali’s mind, and she hastily began to back away, bumping her back into one of the plush staff chairs as a result.
“Y-Yes?!”
“You’re such a messy little girl… I’m forever cleaning up after you, aren’t I?” Scarlet chuckled deeply, arms outstretched. “You wouldn’t be able to do anything without me… Would you?”
“Scarlet… What’s happened? You’re acting funny…”
“Funny?! HA!” The high pitch of the laugh made Linali shudder. “This… This is anything but funny. I’m rather tired of it, to be honest… How on earth did you manage to get yourself arrested for murder, of all things?” She paused, hands clasped behind her back. “But it’s alright. I’ll clean everything up. Because I always do. Just for you. … That rhymed.” More laughter.
Linali’s eyebrows rose slightly- her sister was making less sense than usual, and that laugh… That laugh was disturbing. It didn’t sound right. It sounded familiar; but in the wrong way.
“Clean everything…? What do you mean?”
“…” In a single, swift moment, Scarlet advanced forward with two stretched paces, now directly in front of the meek girl. She cocked her head to the side with the sweetest, most twisted smile to ever grace he visage of a young lady, and moved her hands back out from behind her back.
“It makes me angry. How can you possibly be so happy?! It’s not fair. So I’m going to fix things again, though I’m losing my patience. So, I’m just going to make you sleep for a little while, okay?”
All at once, the world turned upside down. Linali all but fell over the back of the chair, and stumbled awkwardly onto her knees. She lifted up her arm mechanically and stared at the purple fabric there.
There had never been a red pattern on her sleeves, had there?
After a brief contemplation, the pain hit her in a wave. Dizzy from the smell, she fought the urge to scream.
An urge that only grew stronger when she looked up at the demented face of her sister, and more importantly, the bloodstained kitchen knife in her hand.
“… Did you just stab me?!” She exclaimed shakily, sounding utterly absurd whilst doing so, not able to process the situation. Scarlet would never hurt her. But then, the real laughter began, and Scarlet was no longer human. Tossing her long, flowing hair over her shoulder, the elder twin threw her head back, straightened up, and let out a drawling shriek, shoulders convulsing with the strain.
“AHA HA HA! Can’t you feel it?! Are you thick?!”
The light finally turned on, and Linali’s limbs began to respond. This wasn’t Scarlet. This… thing… was just like Ruby. Linali bolted to her feet with a wail and ran across the room, slamming hard into the wall there, and span around, eyes wide and scared.
“… I’m sorry! I’m sorry! I’m sorry!”
“Sorry?! HA! Sorry doesn’t get you anywhere in today’s society, my darling. Don’t you understand the burden you’ve put on me?! Now come on, don’t be silly. I’m not going to kill you… I just need you to be immobile for a moment.” The angelic smile was back in place as Scarlet advanced once more, purposeful and strong. Pressing up flat against the wall, Linali shrank slightly, her body shuddering violently. Clamping a hand over her mouth, she fought the urge to be sick as her mind furiously tried to piece itself back together.
Nil illegitimi carborundum.
How odd that that phrase would come to mind now. Firmly grasping the situation, Linali managed to un-jumble her thoughts and came to a clear conclusion. ‘Cleaning up’. What exactly did that mean? Whatever it implied… Scarlet knew something… Was that what she had been doing at Studio 4?
If that was correct, then not only was Scarlet tied to the case, but so was that set.
Damnit.
This was NOT the time to be rendered ‘immobile’, as Scarlet so politely put it.

Klavier was epicly busy. Flicking Apollo's antennae. Every flick seemed to send the young attorney in spasms, as he hastily clamped his hands over his gently styled hair. ...this was getting boring fast.
"Ay ay ay, it doesn't look like Fraulein's going to be coming back any time soon, Justice. How about we go investigate another part of ein studio, ja?" he said, giving Apollo's antennae two flicks in a row.

"Damnit." He muttered and put it back. "I need a bigger canteen." The 'drinking less' option honestly didn't occur to him. "Eh?" His ears picked up the sound of movement, but it wasn't until the maniacal laughter that he decided it was strange. It was a sense of curiosity that made him try and open the door, but it was his sense of danger that made him realize whatever was going on on the other side needed to be stopped.
His foot rammed into the door.
Now, he was well aware that drawing attention to himself was a bad idea, and he could have easily used the lock picks in his pocket to open the door discreetly, but instincts don't often let one think things through before they were acted out.
Blake kicked the door again.
[OOC: Another OOC from me. Dangit, I'll stop I swear.
If Blake coming across the door is something that stumbles everyone up just let me know and I'll happily change the post.]

Racing into the small staff kitchen, heart racing, she yanked out a blade from the chopping block and span around to face her deranged sister.
“… Thanks for the information, Scarlet.”
The older sibling paused and blinked in surprise at the knife pointing at her, before erupting into another peal of laughter.
“HA! You’re shaking so much you can’t keep your damn arm straight! Are you trying to fight back?! How cute! You’re frightened of me, aren’t you?!”
“You’re right… I am scared. However… I want to know what’s happening, Scarlet. I can’t let you stop me. You can’t hold me down, not now…” The small voice gradually became stronger, until it eventually turned firm, final, even commanding. “Don’t push me, Scarlet!”
“What’re you going to do? Wave that little stick around, hoping it’ll hit me?! Or-” Scarlet was cut short as Linali thrusted forward, clashing the two utensils together. Letting out a sharp breath, taken aback by the severity of the movement, Scarlet stumbled slightly, eyes wide with excitement.
“Oh, wow. … Ha…” Placing both her hands upon the handle of her cleaver, she swung upwards into an arc, until they were face to face, Linali’s knife spinning across the floor. “… I win.” She whispered tentatively, with a sudden gentleness present in her voice, like a mother talking to a newborn babe. She began to swing the cleaver around at the now defenceless woman before her, with exaggerated vigour.
Linali saw red.
Bringing up her right knee quickly, she roughly dealt a blow to Scarlet’s stomach, and grabbed her hands with her own, nicking her fingers on the edge of the cleaver. Scarlet let out a small cough and crippled over, a stupefied expression creased into her face as she was dropped unceremoniously onto the floor.
“Guh… Wha…”
“… Please leave me alone, Ruby…” The scared little girl had returned, and Linali snatched up the knife from Scarlet’s limp hand, tucking it into her bag. Confused and unarmed, Scarlet staggered to her feet and to the window, gasping for breath. Looking at the door in alarm, she clambered out, landing onto the concrete below, before stumbling off down into the forest that surrounded the studios.
Gone.
Linali closed the window and sank down to her knees, before crawling to the door and unlocking it with a slippery, convulsing hand, wincing as the cool metal pressed against the cuts there.

"Are you okay?" He asked quite possibly the stupidest question in the world and mentally slapped himself for it. "We need to get those cleaned and wrapped." He shook his head and searched his coat for something to use as a bandage. In the old days he always had some sort of medical kit on him somewhere, but these weren't the old days. "Damn. Well at least we can wash it off." He turned her back towards the kitchen.

"... Miss Blake, are you alright?!"
"Hmm?! Oh yes, quite..." She muttered offhandedly, picking at a cut on her cheek, causing Apollo to shiver despite himself. "I just fell down the stairs."
'How the hell do you manage to get cuts like that by falling down 5 stairs?!' The young defense attorney thought sceptically, but before he could question his client further, she had already charged past him into Studio 4, muttering frantically.

Scarlet gazed around silently, leaning up against the brick wall behind her. Claudio was certainly taking his sweet time, and she wasn't planning to hang around the building any longer. Especially since it was currently crawling with police. Biting her gloved thumb, she flicked out her phone, glaring at her empty inbox with enough fury to make the gadget melt. Hever, she didn't quite get that far, since the tall man emerged from behind a skip, out of breath.
"My God, you're cutting it fine, you arsehole. How long does it take to get from the damn photoshoot to the carpark anyway?!"
"A good... few minutes."
Claudio panted, gazing around quickly at the barren surroundings before turning to the furious woman before him. God, she made him feel uneasy.
"What's happened?"
"A complication, you fool. My sister knows more than she should. I couldn't immobilize her. She's probably at number 4 right now. This... This is all your fault, for making such a stupid mistake." Her tone was grating and harsh as she scowled, eyes narrowing significantly.
"I'm so angry, I could throttle you."
Claudio chuckled at the threat behind the usual sarcasm of the words. Scarlet probably would, if she had the chance.
"Come on now, sweetheart. It'll blow over. It'll be fine."
"You still framed my sister, you dick."

"I'm so angry, I could throttle you." Said an angry woman who looked awfully familiar for some reason.
"Come on now, sweetheart. It'll blow over. It'll be fine." Declared a man who also looked awfully familiar.
"You still framed my sister, you dick." Snapped the woman. It was at that moment that Misty had quite possible her first real thought in her head. This was important and she needed to tell her Uncle Jake.
Misty didn't even bother to hide before she got out her phone. The buttons made happy little animal noises depending on what number she pushed. When the attention was drawn to her she even smiled politely at them and held up a finger to let them know she needed a minute before she could greet them properly.

Eyes still transfixed on the happy young girl, Scarlet took a step back and bent down with her knees, hands clamping around cold smooth metal.
A pipe, a discarded part of a set.
Perfect. Kill her. Kill her. Kill her.
You're angry. You're tired. You're fed up. She was being naughty. She shouldn't eavesdrop.
Naughty children should be punished.
Go on...
Kill her.
Straightening back up, her face contorted into that horrible grin Claudio was very familiar with.
"SCARLET! WAIT!"
His desperate call was ignored as she lunged forward, pipe raised.
Naughty children should be punished!
Focused completely on Misty, she swung around the pipe with as much force as she could muster, letting out a cackling laugh.
The eccentric girl didn't even have time to scream before the thick metal crashed into her right temple, and the look of surprise and terror in her eyes only fueled Scarlet's actions further.
Claudio froze, watching, mouth agape at the pretty little woman's brutality.

He got into the car, shut the door, and sent a text message to Klavier Gavin. It only said this:

Then he peeled out of the parking lot and sped towards the police station.

That fucking Janet Jackson song'd been stuck in his head ever since he put the earphones in. Last time I borrow Lin's poxy MP3 player... he thought bitterly. He absentmindly sauntered in the studio, where even over the loud sound of ridiculous dance beats bumping in his ears, he heard a loud, sickening crunch. And...
...a scream.
Before he even realised it, Edan's stubby legs were pegging it towards to source of the noise. He noticed a body on the ground, and some snivelling wreck on the floor. He strained his eyes to get a better look at the gruesome scene. He couldn't recognise the bloodied corpse on the ground, but that man on the claret soaked concrete was unmistakeably Mr. Arse Garbage from before. His legs were awkwardly positioned, almost as if his knees were broken. Most disturbing of all was the woman standing before Claudio. Scarlet. Pipe in hand.
Edan didn't even have time to act when the giant pipe wielded by his deceptively petite sister crashed straight into Claudio's face. He stood still while Scarlet smashed him to bits, Claudio's face slowly becoming unrecognizable. He didn't scream. Which was the scariest part.

Panting slightly after her burst of fury, she tossed the bloodied pipe carelessly into the skip behind her and stamped hard on Misty's phone, crushing it beneath the heel of her boot.
Not noticing Edan, she then heaved Claudio's mangled body into the skip, letting out a demonic giggle when she heard the dull 'thump' of his body hitting the bottom of said skip.
She wasn't really planning to leave him there, but it was best to get the bodies out of the way whilst she cleaned the concrete, right?
She pattered across to Misty's corpse, before pausing and finally noticing Edan. There was an obscure innocence about her expression, pure, unhidden surprise.
But the speckles of blood present on her face and the front of her dress said otherwise.
"... Hello Edan."

"Step away from the car, sir!" He demanded. Blake stopped and looked at the officer. His face was cold as stone, but his eyes were on fire. Without a word he reached into his coat for his wallet, but the officer obviously thought he was reaching for something else. "KEEP YOUR HANDS WHERE I CAN SEE THEM!" He barked the order. Blake continued to fetch his wallet and was just lucky the officer's jumpy trigger finger didn't cause more problems.
"I'm leading a case." Blake said coldly after the officer took the wallet and checked Blake's badge and ID.
"I'm going to need to call this in." The officer slipped past Blake to get into his car.
"Fuck it." Blake muttered and punched the officer in the jaw. He then proceeded to pull the man out and get into the car himself.
He was speeding down the road again in a matter of seconds.

She stated as-a-matter-of-factly, eyes still wide open and staring, as if she were judging his every move.
In reality, she was contemplating how to get her knife back. She was rather attached to it.

Scarlet announced to herself, not realising the irony of the statement, and set about erasing any trace of her existance in the carpark.
She was well practiced in the art of cleaning up after herself, after all. She mulled over what to do with the bodies for a moment, before deciding to just leave them be in the skip.
After all, if Linali was investigating Studio 4, then it was set. Sucking in her bottom lip, Scarlet's face washed clean of all lightheaded happiness, and the anger returned.
With a predominant scowl on her features, she slunk around the building, plotting her next course of action.

Linali let out a groan of annoyance as she examined every single spot of the stage, causing dust to shoot up her nose on several occassions. It really needed a good clean.
Oddly, though, the centre of the stage was considerably less well-covered. There were also several unusual looking scratches and dips in the laminated wood where the dust was less thick. It was something that she never would have really noticed, unless she were specifically looking for some sort of clue; as she was now, fortunately.
That made her sceptical as to whether they were actually relevant to anything at all, and the aches all over her body weren't helping her concentrate.

"AH HA HA HA HA HAAAA!" The laughter erupted from Blake in a rather maniacal fashion. There were three police cars behind him now giving full chase. Above him he even spotted a new helicopter. No doubt the entire city was confused when he squealed to a stop in front of the police station. Blake got out with his arms in the air and the bag clutched in one hand. There were plenty of guns trained on his as he walked casually out and flashed the officers a big bright smile. He really only had one thing to say to them all. "You wouldn't happen to have any whiskey on you, would you?"
He was promptly arrested.

The horrified yelp of a stagehand several yards away fom her made her chuckle. No doubt, the owner of the voice had just found her little 'present'.

Apollo watched Linali flit around the stage curiously, and eventually decided to cut in.
"... What're you looking at there?"
"These funny little marks on the floor..." The girl replied offhandedly, running a hands through her hair. "I don't know if they're anything important, really, but... It's bugging me, since I now there's something here!"
Apollo considered her statement before crouching down next to the grooves, arms folded across the tops of his knees.
"... It sort of looks like something heavy was dropped on here..."

He'd not really had time to process what must have happened to her. Blake was sort of surprised that the death itself didn't bother him as much as the idea that he'd have to explain this all to his brother. "So, about your only daughter. Turns out this psycho killer crushed her bones probably until she was dead. The sound over the phone was pretty similar to blows to the cranial region. So at least she didn't feel much!" He practiced. "I'm a dead man." He grumbled.

Though they couldn't locate them, Viridian had presumably met her end on that stage, crushed to death by the metal framing.
They'd even clambered up to the top of the scaffolding behind the set to observe the thick wires that had held the light fixtures up, and lo and behold, one showed signs of being cut- the break was clean, yet the other wire rope was frayed.
Puzzled, but satisfied with the conclusion, Apollo gave the stage one last check before noting down the results in his file. There were still many questions he had about the whole thing, but judging by the way Linali's eyes had widened and her skin had paled, he decided that now wasn't exactly the best time to probe for them.
Maybe a little later.
"Oh, umm, Mr. Justice..." Her quiet, hesitant voice echoed in the corridor slightly as they left Studio 4, hinted with anxiety.
"What's wrong?"
"... Blake is looking at some evidence for me... I think... I think you'll need it."
"What is it?"
"... Well, umm, a knife."
"A KNIFE?!" Apollo spluttered, taken completely by surprise. "I-Is it what I think it mi-"
"I don't know!!"
"Then let's go get it!" He grinned. Though it was wishful thinking, maybe there were fingerprints or something, and he had th distinct feeling that this knife was going to be an important piece of evidence indeed.

"Yer in my seat." He growled. Blake looked about and realized that he was sitting on the only bench in the cell, and this man would likely take all of it if he sat on it. Blake obliged by smiling and standing up.
"Ah, no problem, sir." He said politely and even bowed a little. "I would imagine with all that girth it'd be hard to stand all the time." Blake's face was met by a meaty fist that hit with enough force to knock him into the wall on the other side. Blood was pouring out of Blake's nose. "Well that's broken." He sighed and slipped to the floor. "I take it you're in here for assault then?"
"I stabbed my girlfriend." The man grunted.
"She had it coming, I'm sure." Blake felt his nose to know where the breaks were. "Can I ask you something?" Blake wondered, but continued without an answer. "How do you explain to your brother that you heard over the phone that his only child got crushed to death by a psycho on a murder case you were supposed to lead, then abandoned her body there because you had to deliver evidence, which you did by stealing a police car and having a thrilling chase all the way to the station?"
The large man blinked at him.
"That's fucked up." He grunted.
"I know, right?" Blake sighed.
