((can you hurt Ryuk? In Death Note you can't hurt Shinigami in traditional ways like that, I'm not sure if that should apply here. After all, the opponent is Light, not Ryuk, so Ryuk being invincible wouldn't make the fight unwinnable))

If it's a special type of move, I'm not sure. Though it's truer to the Death note canon if your attacks just go through him. Though I think Ryuk could attack, he can do stuff to the human world like pick up and eat apples.
These are the problems I get when I decide to go with a character I posted as a joke.

True, but it's established in the series that you can't stab or shoot (just look at that Raye Penber episode, the bullets go right through him) a shinigami, and you can't kill them in traditional ways. The only ways it seems they can die are by running out of time before they kill someone else or by breaking certen rules.

He's playable in Jump Super Stars? I recall having him as a support and he wrote someone's name in the death note (though it didn't automatically kill them or anything).
