Mr. X leant back in his chair, surveying the report that had just come through on his flexi-screen. ((basically, a piece of paper like material, that can display information like a compputer screen does. It can be folded up and carried around in your pocket just like paper. It is actually being developed now, but not with that name.)) On mars, the damned liberal Dutch were trying to set up a colony close to New San Francisco. This required quick action. He could not allow the Reds, the anarchists and the Liberals to threaten the American way of life. There was only one option left to him.

He pressed a button on his desk, and a voice sounded over the intercom. "Hello?"

"Mr.President" Mr. X replied.

"Yes Sir?"

"We're going to Nuke Amsterdam"

"Yes Sir"

And with one near disaster avoided, Mr. X called for his Robotic assistant to bring a cup of coffee.

But the robot never brought the coffee to Mr. X. Instead, it walked up to the secretary, and ripped her head off. Hearing a commotion, Mr. X took a peak in the corridor, and upon seeing what was going on, he calmly pressed the button to contact the head of security. The head of security came on, and said "Sir! All of the security bots are on the rampage. I'm shutting them down."

"What! Shutting them down! Do you know how much they cost?"

"I'm sorry sir, but I don't have a choice."

"You know who did this don't you?! The British! They've always tried to threaten our democratic lifestyle! Tell the president that once he's Nuked amsterdam, he is to deliver an ultimatum to the U.K.! If they don't put this problem right, we are at war!"

"Sir! I'm sure the British wouldn-"

"Stop! Do as I say now!"

By Midday, the news was plastered everywhere. The United States of America had declared war on the U.K. over security breaches. The Dutch had joined Britain, and Much more of Europe was likely to follow. But Mr. X didn't care how big the opposiion was. He had God on his side. But as he was taking the pledge of allegience before lunch, he heard the news that all across America, and in parts of east Asia, the robots were on the rampage. Those Brits had to be stopped.

Murderous robots? How is that connected to the UK at all? Something stinks about this, Ryan thought. Forget about that bounty hunter. Forget about the assassin. You have to explore that colony. The President was in a panic as Mr. X entered the oval office.

"I don't like it!" He shouted, "We have had a special relationship with the U.K. for centuries, why have we just declared war on them, and half of Europe." The President pointed to the moniter that was on the wall. "How are we going to defeat Germany, with its massive robot army, and they're even saying that Russia might join their side, and you know what happens when Russia joins don't you?" It was a rhetorical question, so Mr. X didn't answer. "All of Eastern Europe will be against us! We've already blown up Amsterdam, but let's quit before it's too late."

Mr. X listened to all this without commenting, then a period of silence fell on them, until he finally said, "Let me tell you something. Presidents have had it tough over the years. In this country, if a president is disliked, some punk will come along and assasinate him, or so we'd have the people of America think. Can you remember where you were when Gerald Birling was assasinated twenty years ago? I can certainly remember where I was. I was in a back ally, using my cell phone, giving instructions to the gunman."

The President sat there, astonished at what he was hearing. "You know what? It would be a shame if you were assasinated as well wouldn't it."

"Yessir." the President replied.

Mr. X smiled "I knew I could count on you to do the job." He walked to the door. "Oh, and by the way. Japan have just agreed to join us in the war, they've been badly affected by the British robot problem as well." And with that he walked out of the room.

Ryan flew off to a distant colony that was once inhabited by robots, humans, and several different types of aliens. What he saw did not look good. Smoke was rising out of every building that was still there, and the place was practically a wasteland. Robots were running amok all over what used to be a beautiful city. Ryan landed far away, pulling out a gun that produces waves of electricity. He figured that would at least stop some of them as he ran outside his spaceship, towards the wasteland. ((Let's get this thing moving...kinda.))

"Whoo...I'm not even making a dent. These robots just keep coming," Ryan said between gasps for air. He started running back to his spaceship, fighting his way past robots to get there. He caught his breath once he got inside.
I have to go back to Earth, he thought. The UK couldn't have done this. Not on another planet. He sent his craft towards Earth.

Mr. X was extremely happy. If this went well, they would be one step closer to winning the war. At that moment, the sounds of explosions were heard nearby. He looked out of the window, there was a ferocious airbattle going onabove the city,. How had the Air force allowed them to get this close, he wondered, but he realised that the attacking ship was one of their un manned, robotic ones. He would make Britain pay for this outrage. And now, as he turned out the lights in his office, his meeting the next day couldn't come any sooner.

Ryan zoomed towards the ship, his craft threatening to go down since he went as fast as the spacecraft could possibly go, getting back within a few minutes. He shot two expertly aimed missiles at the craft, not making it go down, but destroying its weapons as his own craft went down. He pulled the lever as hard as he could without breaking it. Wherever he was going to land, it would be a smooth landing. He steered his craft around buildings until he landed on the police department's launching/landing pad.

Cindren has slept the night inside an abandoned hotel,the entire place had been ransacked by Robots.He couldn't really sleep though,the sound of far-away shouts and robotic noises kept him up.

The next afternoon,he drowsily stood in front of the Lincoln Memorial.The great Memorial had not been touched by attacks....yet.
