Though... be a little careful, you could be overstepping things by making Jasmine's demon foe die right off the bat in this RP... XD))
Hubris was left speechless. He stood where he was, in the middle of a desert, just aghast at the fact that the man just appeared then disappeared in an instant.
"...That goddamned..." He said, finally speaking after such a long time. "...That son of a bitch... WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT, WASTING MY TIME!?!"
Hubris punched the sand with his hand-morphed blade, digging deep and letting loose a roar of fury. Out of all people, it was that one demon hunter he wanted to get revenge on, to pay back past grievances long overdue.
The sands around the area started to move and shift, rising and falling gently as the tiniest fragments of matter rose from the sandy depths to the surface. Tremors shook the area as, grain by grain, the tiniest fragments of sand combined into a single solid mass of what seemed like crystal, breaking the surface of the desert like a boat. Hubris stopped when the mass was large enough to stand upon, after which he removed his fist, both of which were now returned to normal, human hands, and slowly walked onto the crystal-rock platform. It barely reflected his image beneath him-- but it was enough to work with.
"I can't stand waiting any longer-- I can't STAND it with that idiot demon hunter still living...!! The time has come for a reunion."
Crossing his arms, Hubris sank into the crystal; rather, he drifted though his own reflection out of reality, and into his own personal void. A 'mirror' world of sorts, that had no form or substance. Hubris contorted his face into a vengeful snarl as the last of him sunk through the crystal, and finally the desert was once again devoid of anybody.
The card listing Hunter's HQ remained where it lay in the sands, slowly being covered by the wind-blown sands.

Perhaps I never wanted revenge. Not that much. Perhaps what I really wanted...Was justice. Killing him...Will not bring your father back.
"You are...The king of demons...So then, why would you need my soul?" Jasmine finally asked. So many more questions were in her mind. "More importantly: can you...Bring back the dead?"

"Jasmine..." he said. "Don't...Come any closer..."
"D-dad?"
"Yes...I'm here. And you, Jasmine. You brought me back. I am...Unable to...Control myself...Ugh," the dad responded. Then, his eyes glowed red, and he lunged at Jasmine, who screamed and dove out of the way.
"Kill me now!" he shouted. Jasmine picked up her knife, he revealed his heart to her. But she hesitated. She gave her soul for this...Demon.
"The dead can never come back, Jasmine. And now...You will...pay the price for trying..." he said. The street under Jasmine's feet began to crumble. "Defend yourself!"
"I...I can't, Dad..." Jasmine said, choking back sobs. Her dad grabbed a passing stranger, and put his claw against their throat.
"Oh, yes...This person has a family. The mother of five, and a single parent. I wonder what those kids will do once their mommy is gone," he taunted.
"No!" Jasmine screamed. She threw her knife at him, and he dropped the woman onto the street. The knife struck true in his heart. He looked at Jasmine and smiled.
"You did the right thing," he said. Then, he disintegrated. Jasmine buckled onto her hands and knees.
"Dad...Oh, Dad..." She cried.

Those of you who don't like disturbing mental images may wanna read even more deeply of the following post than if you do enjoy it. :3))
A girl, somewhere in the world where the clocks neared the stroke of midnight, sat in her room alone, staring at herself in her mirror attached to her desk. She sat there, thinking thoughts that were to herself, private things: how she wished she had this, more of that, less around here-- things about herself that she regretted having and lacking. It wasn't something unusual-- many people do just that, despite how hollow it makes a person feel for picking themselves apart like that. But the point was that she still did it.
Sitting there in front of her mirror.
Enviously wishing herself different, in one way or the other, as if it were as unimportant an exercise as picking out a brand of cereal.
In front of her mirror.
As the clock struck midnight.
The mirror.
Midnight.

Her family came to answer the ghastly shrieks that seemed to still echo throughout their house. The sight was gruesome-- blood splattered on walls, the words "Bloody Mary" scratched into the very woodwork of the floor by the victim, her fingers still freshly wounded from the effort. The girl herself was in no shape to be recognized-- brutalization and lacerations ran all across her body, the signs of a merciless assault. She did not survive.
Despite the horrors, it was deduced that some sort of murderer or rapist had committed the act. Yet, despite all of it, there were three details that were never released by the police to the public:
First, was that the girl's eyes were completely missing, no signs of cuts or any damage to her face in result of their removal.
The second: There was a slight burn found on her body, discovered in the autopsy. The scarred tissue was in a perfect circle, right over her heart. In fact, as it was soon discovered, the burnt tissue ran right TO her heart, which itself had a slight burn-scar on it, also a circle, aligned with the other scar tissue.
Third, and clearly the least important detail to the case, was that despite all the damage and gore spread across her room, the girl's mirror remained untarnished...

Okashii heard about the murder that next morning.It was still raining,and most of the street he lived on was flooded.He snatched up a newspaper from a vendor who wasn't looking,and began to read it.He browsed through the boring stuff.Politics,sports,etcetera.He laughed at some of the comics,and when he was on the last page,did it catch his attention.

From a random puddle, the remnants of the previous night's storm, emerged Hubris. Rather, he emerged from the reflection of the puddle, but to anybody nearby, it would seem as if he came from the very depths of the shallow water. Hubris gave a quick bow to the few people around, and muttered some nonsense about magic before briskly walking away from the crowd forming around that puddle.
'The unbelievable shall be believed as the first idea they hear it as. Street magician... bah. Those keys had better be there...'
Hubris returned to the hotel he had came to the night before, and walked to the reception desk. "Excuse me, I seem to have left a coat in the stairwell last night. I was hoping somebody had found it and brought it here?"
"Yes sir, we have the coat right here." The attendant said, reaching under the desk. "This is yours?"
"Yes, that is it. Thank you."
Without a word more, Hubris took the coat and made for the elevator. He was expecting company shortly, and didn't want to be late to his own room.

'Win-win either way. Either demon hunter gets killed trying, or one of those two gets killed dealing with the hunter.' Hubris pondered, thinking over his own words. Then, aloud: "Yes, that wouldn't be a half bad idea-- go try and manipulate a demon hunter to do your dirty work for you. At the very least, you would have the anonymity of it in case the hunter fails to slay Forticius."

He put the key in the door marked E-67 and opened his room. The lights were out, yet something kept turning them on, then off, then on again. He walked into the main part of the room, and coughed gently, catching the attention of a tall, hunched over figure.
"Invidia. Would you stop playing with the light? I didn't free you just so you could toy around." Hubris said as it turned around to face him, the lightbulb from a nearby lamp held in one of it's hands that rhythmically lit up and dimmed.

The monstrosity gazed at Hubris with it's eyes, the lower of them occasionally glancing around the room before returning to look at Hubris. It reached a jointy hand up to it's head, rubbing the blank spot where a mouth would be. A thin divide spread across there, until a split formed across it's near-empty face. It let out a wheeze before opening and closing its brand new mouth.
"*wheeze* *cough*...h-hck-- *cough* ...hello... brother." Invidia said with a hoarse, gravely voice. "Such a long tiiiiiime... you look... maaarvelous..."

The Vhunter and co. offices where empty at the time, Hunter was there drinking coffee while inner smoked "So you meet this guy with a very strong evil aura and with blades as arms?" inner said finally, hunter replied "Yes, he seemed to be very mad at me, do we owe money to some shape shifter?" inner looked at the book "No, we payed all our debts beforing closing the office", hunter took the cursed ones book "over a million shape shifters...well as long I avoid him it`ll be ok" hunter drank the coffee and smiled...

Master applied oilments and bandages to Jasmine "Well aparently you where injected some minor poisons, but you`ll be ok" Master smiled as very delicious aroma filled the room, a little girl appeared with soup and bread.

Invidia did not reply, looking in opposite ways around the room... gazing at things enviously while shining the lightbulb on and off slowly.
"Tch... and after wasting my time to resummon you through that girl, you could at least have kept them-- could you please stop the light!!?" Hubris finally barked, his patience running thin. Finally, he remembered that he had forgotten to keep his once-sister in check. 'That's why I summoned her after all, she was easiest for me to control while still having some strength of her own. ...Lord forbid, she has been influencing me this whole time...?'
Closing his eyes, Hubris focused upon his sibling, and sent a decent "wave" of pride at it. As Hubris worked his subtle magic, Invidia's demeanor became less shifty, its eyes ceasing their nervous shifting; overall, the boost of pride negated the damage to its psyche. Invidia noticed the alteration, and said "...you tapped me... with your... essence. ...not sure... if happy or un...happy... mmmMmMm... I feel peaceful. It is... sickeningly sweet."
Invidia plopped onto the floor, sitting up straighter than it had standing with the low-ceiling. Hubris himself took a seat upon the bed.
"It's been ages." He said, Invidia's eyes focused on his mouth with mild interest. They were half closed, as if tired and ready to fall asleep. "I can't remember the last time all of us had met at once. You have changed a bit since I last saw you..."
"Time..." Invidia whispered in response.
"I must admit that I called you forth to help me with a matter of business." Hubris continued, eliciting no further responses from his sibling-- he had been sure Invidia would have at least scoffed at him for needing help with something. "I have decided that the time has come for a shift in power to take place. Yet in the way stands not one, but two obstacles. One being that old bag of bones Forticius, and the other being a mere HUMAN."
Invidia's eyes slowly shut as Hubris spoke, one snapping open at the mention of Forticius, the other remaining tightly shut. In it's hands, the lightbulb flickered.

"Er...Thank you," Jasmine said kindly. She decided the best thing to do was wait until later to think about what she just did. As long as nobody asked her about it or brought it up, she'd be free to only think about it when nobody was around. She smiled at Maria. "Thank you as well." She grabbed the food. At first, she thought she wouldn't be able to eat, but as soon as she nibbled at the delicious smelling food, she gobbled it down hungrily. She was more hungry than she thought.

Her cell suddenly rang. A quick check of the number told her it was from Marty, who she wanted to break into a vengeful rant about how he was leaving her broke. Unfortunately, she needed the jobs he helped her get so she went the civil route.
"Hey, money sucker, did you find me any jobs or info on the S.E.D.?"
"Yes to the first, no to the latter," Marty replied, tactfully ignoring the barb. "Did you read today's paper?"
"Give me a sec." Faith snagged the second paper in a stack from the vender's (the first one in the stack was ripped). She scanned the front page for any eye catching headlines and only she found one that said 'Strange Murder Committed at Midnight'. She flipped to the page listed and scanned over the details, unable but to help feeling sick as she did.
"The request came in from an anonymous detective working on the case," Marty said. "He has no idea how the murderer managed to cause so much damage in the little time it took the girl's family to arrive at the scene, let alone how the murderer got in and out without leaving a trace. Also, there's a few more unsettling details he listed in the request that weren't in the paper today, nor that the police ever will reveal."
"Like strange symbols or something?"
"That. And... her eyes were missing."
Faith visibly winced, an involuntary shiver running through her. For a moment, she remembered the feel of a long claw tunneling into her eye and picking out the bits of flesh for her to see with her other eye...
"Guess that doesn't come as much of a surprise," the devil hunter said. "The article says they found 'Bloody Mary' scratched into the floorboards, and we all know what Bloody Mary does to those who summon her. So is that who I'm supposed to be looking for?"
"It could be, just keep an eye out."
"What about client? You said he's anonymous. How do I get a hold of him for info or payment?"
"You deal through me. For a flat price of 10% of the final take."
"How generous of you," Faith said dryly. "Lord knows you of all people need it with all the money you siphon off hunters. Damn money sucking-"
"Happy hunting, Faith."
And then, as always, he got the last word by hanging up on her.

Now with both eyes wide open, Invidia turned its gaze to Hubris. "...wait... more time... why must I... waaaaaait??"
Invidia, despite Hubris's tampering, began to let loose more emanations. Hubris felt the gradual shift in atmosphere and tried to tense up. Even if its words were slow and deliberate, he could feel that Invidia was becoming agitated at the idea of being left behind, even if for a while.
"...the answer is simple, dear sibling." Hubris said, weaving what he could to try and calm his sibling. "To go out now would be a waste of your time-- to wait and strike when you could be most effective would make you ever more valuable... to me, and to yourself."

The power of the lights were out so (which worked conveniently enough) so she simply used the faint light from her lighter to illuminate her way to the sink. The mirror was intact but Faith still filled the sink halfway. She had never done the Bloody Mary 'game' when she was growing up so she wasn't sure which method would work best.
"Never play games involving the otherworld," her brother, Jake, had ordered. "Most of the time you don't get anything but do you want to be the lucky winner who attracts their interest?"
Sure enough, Faith had always done as brother said. Until now. Bloody Mary was a powerful spirit that Faith had heard was nearly impossible to exercise, it seemed to be the belief that as long as mirrors existed she would as well. If the girl in the paper had somehow incurred Mary's wrath then no matter how good the money was Faith was leaving it be. If it wasn't Mary then the Spirit may be able to give her a hint to what might have passed through the city recently with the ability to go through mirrors and rip out young girl's eyes.
That was, if she could get Mary to talk. And if, she didn't end up another corpse with her eyes ripped out (not that she hadn't already had one ripped out before) but she'd burn that bridge when she got to it.
I still don't get the point in giving the Spirit a weapon, she thought, taking a razor and placing it in the water. 'Here, let me help you kill me'...
She didn't see the point in handicapping herself further in the dark so, with a slight moment's heisitation, she removed the tinted glasses.
Silver, slit eyes stared back at her in the mirror. Demon's eyes.
Faith prompted the still lit lighter at the bottom of the mirror and breathed deeply. It was time to see if she was a winner.
"Bloody Mary..."
Faith glanced between the water and the mirror.
"Bloody Mary..."
Faith clenched the sink tightly.
"Bloody Mary."
A pregnant pause passed, which turned into a full minute. Faith let out a breath she wasn't aware of holding.
She didn't feel the surge of energy until a pale arm brandishing the razor errupted from the water.

Master Maria and jasmine where at the forest looking for aay to the city, when a werewolf striked them, Maria shoted but the creature wouldnt die "I cant find the silver bullet!" Master took out his blade but the creature was already about to strike Jasmine...
