"Of course," Lida said, beaming. "I'm not completely senile. Not yet, anyway." She chuckled. "Did I ever tell you about the time I made the perfect cake? Well, I cooked for hours, laboring away at making it all from scratch. By the time I finished, I was soooo hungry. I placed the cake on the table and went to get a glass of milk. By the time I turned around, it was gone. The dog ate it." Lida sighed. "I had to order in." Then, she smiled brightly. "But what I ordered in was heavenly." And about $200. Total ripoff for cake.

"Well if we could make a surprise cake for ilygodot then I think that would be a very nice addition to today's proceedings. I think she would like chocolate but with vanilla icing and a nice message in pink icing in the middle. I'm not an expert with cakes but this is the best I could come up with."

"Consider it done, Platty," she said. Lida rubbed her hands together. "The cake will be waiting for us at the church." She smiled wider. "Your future grandfather-in-law taught me how to use magic. Conjuring cakes especially. But I always preferred just bewitching the perfect ingredients to make a perfect cake. I got so good at doing that, I could make a rather fantastic cake in five minutes when it used to take me the better half of five hours." She laughed. "Speaking of which, shouldn't we be at the church now, waiting for your lovely wife?"

One last look in the mirror, and a look around her bedroom at all her stuff. Moved a teddy to the right place, and a coffe mug to a coaster. Swallowed really hard and smiled the hugest of huge smiles.

Platinum Skye drove down the highway towards chapel. Looking at the clear mid-morning sky and looking at his passenger seat, soon his wife would often occupy that seat. He was quite happy for that.

Platty pulled over and got out of the driver's seat as he jumped onto the roof as a truck came speeding down behind him. "YOU PIECE OF -----bleep-----. I don't need to die immediately before my wedding." Plat jumped down from the roof as he awaited Lida to exit her seat.

It all looked absolutely perfect! ilygodot glanced around at everything, feeling mega happy and calmer now, it was peaceful here, and everything felt just right. Now the only thing it was missing was her fiancee Platinum. ilygodot looked at her wrist before turning to her bridesmaids.

Lida smiled and started the car.
Time to get to the church. I wonder if ily's there already? She drove very carefully to the church, being sure to only go five miles per hour over the speed limit at all times. It would be most unfortunate if she was to get pulled over just before a wedding. Especially with the groom in the car. She parked in the church parking lot and stepped out.
"Here we are, Platty. Are you ready to be the luckiest man in the world?" she asked.
