Nathaniel, who was in a slight daze, then noticed the present displayed in front of him. After taking off the lid, he pulled out the snapdragon inside and stared at it as it's red color was an enjoyable departure from the bleak gray of the sky and brown of the buildings. " Thank you... Although I doubt that's enough gratitude, I can say that at least. How long did it even take you to find or breed this?" Nathaniel inquired.

It appears I have started a roleplay called A World of Super Humans. You should join it.

Cara smiled. "I'm really glad you like it, Nat. I went out of town to get the seeds for the pink ones, and then I bred them to make white ones and red ones. The rest are in the yard, but I held onto this one for you." She was proud of herself for her small accomplishment.

Nathaniel then smiled and looked out the slightly cracked window to see that indeed, there was a garden blooming two different colors of snapdragon. " It looks so... what's the word... Familiar. You know what I mean? Reminds you of before." Nathaniel said, eyes slightly dimmed. After a few seconds, they lit back up and he then stood up. " Thank you again. I need to get a vase, preferably glass, I should go see those glassblowers in the trading center..." Nathaniel mumbled, making a mental note to himself to buy a glass vase.

Cara smiled sadly as she remembered the good times... when she had still been able to see. Although she was getting along just fine, she really missed the brilliant colors of her backyard garden. They were fading away from her memory already. Cara asked Nat, "Are they as pretty as they used to be?"

Ruthe did a silly half-smile at Floyd's defending her. The only reason she didn't laugh or do her usual toothy smile she does whenever she gets a compliment was because Peter was there. Then, she put the cloth on Peter.

Peter held in a seethe. "So Floyd. You were part of the SAS regiment 22, right?" He asked. Floyd got pale. "Yeah," He muttered. He didn't like to talk about it. that regiment caused D Day in an effort to stop it. (You see how both threads connect? You'll learn the details in the other thread.)

Nathaniel then noticed Cara was talking to him, and stood up. " Of course! You're the only one that could even keep flowers alive and well so long with such little supplies," Nathan scrambled to come up with a proper answer and became slightly flustered. " Well, erm, I should probably get a vase from the glassblowers now... Thank you again." Nathaniel said, smiling as he walked out the front door and began to run to the trading center.

Ruthe decided she should go out, when another man was wheeled in by a frightened-looking woman. She knew she had to help him. As she put him on the bed, she realized he had no pulse. Immediately, she started doing CPR.
"Don't just stand there," Ruthe panted to the woman. "Get the defibrulizer."

Peter finished the cigarette and Floyd slinked off somewhere. Peter decided to go back to see Cara. He got into the lawn and saw her watering the plants. He grunted in greeting. "Sorry I left."

Annabelle ran around, doing many different things. For an eight year old, she was really handy. She was in the woods looking for stranded people when the smell of food lingered in the air. Maybe she was being selfish, but she didn't care. She was hungry, and it was probably all she was going to eat in a long time.

((Quite possibly she could have parents? Or even people that know her in the village, because here parents died or something.))

Annabelle slowed down as she got closer to the village. The smell died down slowly. She shrugged, knowing that she'd live. It was just dinner. She could go back into the forest and fish for something in the reservoir she found. It was only her who knew, so there should be plenty of fish. Annabelle dicided that she wasn't that hungry anyway. She entered the village between her "house" and a shack. Her house was in ruins, and she didn't know if anyone even knew she was alive. She didn't show herself to the other villagers yet, so she couldn't be too sure.

Annabelle sat in the back of the shack, thinking of how she was going to live independently.
