Trucy saw Miles' car in front of the stadium, and saw Phoenix get out.
"Yeah, whatever, Polly," she said, completely ignoring Apollo as she ran towards her father.
"Daddy!" she screamed, tackling him.

Apollo stared as Trucy ran with incredible speed at Phoenix and sighed. Why didn't anyone ever pay attention to him?

Seeming to be allowed a moment to catch his breath, Zeth looked up at Shelly, waiting for her to make a move. When she didn't, Zeth finally caught his attitude once more, adopting a smirk as got a proper look at his destiny. Shelly had adopted a red cat suit for her job (a skin tight, once piece jump suit with a zip up the middle) which hugged her in all the right places. Glancing up further, and landing on her suddenly familiar face, Zeth's face formed a satisfied grin. Now he finally got a good look at her, he finally remembered all the information he had on her.
If she's who I think she is, then it'll be difficult to stop her unless... unless she's playing games with me by just standing there? Does she not know me?
Kicking his foot up into the air, and booting the gun out of her hand, a round went off in mid flight, destroying a beaker of mysterious liquid. Not having time to consider what the beaker of liquid was worth, Zeth rolled to his side, and lunged towards Shelly slightly as he hooked his leg around hers, flicking her off her feet, which wasn't difficult considering her light weight and high heals. Shelly landed on her back with a thud, allowing Zeth the time he needed to scoot onto all fours, and leap on top of her. Pinning her body under his, and clamping her wrists down with his hands, Zeth gave her a pleasant grin.
"Miss Beech, this is a pleasant surprise! you've had a fan out of me for quite some time of your handiwork." Taking some of his weight off her wrists, enough that she wasn't strained, Zeth adopted a more casual stance, "So, how much is the price on my head now days? I'm curious what I'm worth to the black market since I left."
((Go on- name a price. Somewhere between 10 thousand and 10 million I guess.))

Slipping his beanie back onto his head, Phoenix frowned slightly as Miles drove off, remembering that Zeth was probably back at the precinct again dealing with his assassin… most likely Shelly, Phoenix was still worried even though Zeth didn’t seem to. He got the feeling that Zeth was starting to adopt a death wish due to his new social life, or lack of it. It worried him.
"Daddy!" Trucy’s voice suddenly called out. Snapping out of his thought’s as he spotted Trucy running towards him, Phoenix grinned, opening his arms out to Trucy to let her glomp him. Sweeping her off her feet and swinging her around in a circle, Phoenix gave her a tight hug, finding his concern for Zeth’s safety showing slightly in his not 100% happy look.

"I'm just a little worried about something, that's all," Phoenix replied, not sure how to explain that the random girl Trucy picked up from the laundromat was actually an assassin. "Zeth headed off to the lab, and apparently someone isn't too happy with him at the moment. We think it may be because of the case he's on now with David Bell..." He couldn't lie to her. She'd notice.

"You must be Bebop," Phoenix stated, crossing his arms. "You'd be the only one besides those of us at the Kabuki that would know that the assassin was a she. Your Pandora virus nearly gave Zeth a heart attack."
Cracking up with laughter, Bebop slapped Phoenix on the back, "HAH! That nerd- He'll believe any BS i give him now days. I bet he was timing how long it was in the USB drive, right? HAH! How could I code a USB driver that self destructs?"
"That's not the story I heard..." Phoenix replied bitterly. Motioning Trucy to Bebop, Phoenix's voice dulled, "Trucy, this is Bebop. He's a guy that helps Zeth out with his investigations."

Genuinely surprised, Shelly was careful to school her expression into a smirk similar to Zeth's own. I definately underestimated this one, she thought to herself irritably. A mistake I won't be making any time again, she told herself firmly before returning to the situation at present.
"Well," Shelly said coyly, cocking her head to the side as best she could whilst being pinned to the ground. "You're certainly very forward, Mr Gant." She looked pointedly at his legs straddled to each side of her to pin her down and raised her eyebrows.

Ema adjusted the last piece of her costume into place before turning as she heard someone enter the dressing room. "Klavier," she scolded half-heartedly, "You're not meant to come into a lady's dressing room."

Trucy looked at Phoenix, conveying with her eyes that perhaps she was as skeptical of the armed forces being able to help on time, but it was only for a fraction of a second.
"Nice to meet you, Bebop," she said, extending her hand for a hand shake. Then, she looked back at the bicycle, and wondered if she would get away with stuffing it back into her panties with the strange man there.

He's not too bad-looking when he smiles. Too bad, she thought, sighing out loud. She suddenly shifted her weight slightly and pushed at the man on top of her so that they rolled around on the lab floor until she was straddling him. She leant her elbows above each of Zeth's shoulders so that her face was uncomfortably close to his and placed her legs as Zeth's had been to hold him in place.
"Oh, I'm only formal to the people i'm employed to kill," she said casually. "But I could call you Zeth if you like." Her close up smile was slightly toned down by the knife pressed gently to his side.

Was it fear?
Was it panic?
Or was his heart pumping so fast because...
"Oh, I'm only formal to the people i'm employed to kill," Shelly said casually. "But I could call you Zeth if you like."
Closing his eyes as she said his name, Zeth felt his heart rate triple instantly. Fear... no, the feeling wasn't fear. Fear didn't wear hot red, or smell like the blade of a bloodied dagger perfumed by roses. And fear certainly didn't make death feel so good.
He didn't know what his new feeling was, but finally, he felt the burning desire for it to not end that very second.
Pushing up slightly with his arm, he brushed his lips across hers, felting her breath across his mouth. A warmth that he hadn't felt in so long. Not dareing to press his lips to hers firmly without her invitation first, Zeth grinned, his lips still touching hers,
"Aaahh, but then you wouldn't be formal to me anymore," Zeth teased, gliding one of his hands up her cheek slowly,and around through her air to the back of her head, not pressing on her, but trapping her head between him and his hand, "but then again, I think that you're the type of hunter that likes to play with her prey first."

Bebop grinned as he watched the bicycle go back into the panties, and gave her a hearty clap before turning to Phoenix,
"Hey, Wrighto. You've seen alot more of the Shunk lately than I have. What's his temperament like lately? Like is he still cool? Focused and all that stuff? Not distracted?"
"Uh..." Phoenix hummed, glancing aside thoughtfully, "Not really... He's been very emotionally alone lately. He walks around like he's bored alot. Why?"
Bebop's eyes widened, his face going into a slight panic, "No way! Not cool! That sexy vixen Shelly Beech is after him! Zeth will be silly putty in his hands without focus!"
"Miles arranged for a few special ops to follow him, it's alright," Phoenix grinned cooly, stuffing his hands in his pockets, "They wont do anything unless Zeth looks like he's in danger. He'll be fine."
"He'd be fine WITHOUT the boys in black if he's focused you dolt!" Bebop cringed, "Don't you guys know anything about her? She was on your set!"

Shelly was jerked back to reality as she felt Zeth's lips brush against hers. As he spoke softly with his lips still touching hers, a trick that she used on people so often that she began to doubt it was a coincedence.
"Hmm," she hummed, turning her head to the side slightly, Zeth's hand twisting in her hair. "You're right, Mr Gant. I like to...play with my prey. And I'm sure you'll be so much fun to play with..." Shelly moved her head in and pressed her lips more firmly to Zeth's, the familiar heat of a kiss warming her on the inside, but there was something more intense about the way Zeth had made the first move. He does realize im about to kill him.. she thought, shifting the knife up to his throat.

"Let me take you out for dinner," Zeth breathed, giving her a few kisses between breaths, "Five star restaurant. Only the best. I'll pay you what ever price is on my head," wrapping both of his arms around her tightly as he gave one last lengthened kiss, he drew his mouth to her ear, "You can kill me after that however you'd like." Giving her soft kisses around her ear, Zeth body begin to shake excitedly from the thought of if she agreed. One perfect night. One night where he felt like he was worth something to someone else he felt deeply for, even if she didn't feel it in return. All she had to do was pretend. He'd happily sacrifice his life for that one feeling one last time. Was it love?
((Zeth is leaving it up to Shelly to decide if she wants to break the contract. He was prepared that he might die before the encounter ended, so I could see this being something he'd do :( Maybe Shelly wants to decide after the date if she wants to void her contract or not. She'll have to want to do it though, cause Zeth doesn't think she cares for him back.))

"...tv show to act in." Snapping out of his trance, Zeth refocused his eyes once more. That's right, she's in the TV show too. I wonder what her part is?
"Yeah, I'm in it too..." Zeth grinned, pushing himself up off the ground to a stand, and dusting off his clothes. Spotting his gun on the floor by his foot, he picked it up with his hands, withdrawing he magazine, and checking the rounds left. "The boss is going to kill me when he knows I let off a live arm twice in the forensics room, and destroyed property." Flicking on the safety, Zeth shrugged, wrapping his arm around Shelly's waist, pressing his body to hers, "Tomorrow is another day however..."
"Mr Gant, sir!" Busting through the door, two men dressed in full combat gear stormed into the room, and towards the couple, "Leave her to us now! We'll apprehend her properly!" One man rolled straight past the two, to a stand quickly, releasing the safety to point his gun at Shelly. Zeth grabbed Shelly tighter, glancing behind him defensively,
"What do you think you're doing here?" Zeth hissed angrily, "I haven't asked anyone for help, and I sure as heck don't want it!"
"You're injured on your neck, sir," The second man replied sternly, also pointing his gun at Shelly, "Prosecutor Edgeworth has requested that we see that we detain the assassin who is after you."
"Oh really?" Zeth questioned, feeling his neck. Finally feeling the spot that Shelly cut him, Zeth grinned, "Nar, that's just a scratch I got when I fell over and cut myself on some glass. This Venus standing in front of me is my girlfriend. She took me by surprise and I thought she might've been the assassin." Turning back to Shelly, Zeth smiled happily, cradling her cheek. "Looks like it was a false alarm, guys."
"False alarm?" The first one yelped, "But Prosecutor Edgeworth..."
"FORGET IT, Carl," the other guy ordered, "Prosecutor Edgeworth has to act on false negatives too. The Sanchez case is important to him, and he firmly informed me that he can't afford to lose Gant for many reasons, that being one."
"Ok...." putting on the safeties on their guns, the two men headed off, leaving Zeth and Shelly alone once more. Zeth quickly adopted an agitated face.
"Darn Edgeworth, Leave it up to him to be a pain in the ass even when he's not around!"
((Sorry. I wanted to get them out of the way could they would attack at that point. If you want Shelly to do something, tell me and I'll insert it, but I just wanted to skip the scene on a little to get back on site.))

Shelly smiled gently at the officers throughout the confrontation, acting the part of the meek girlfriend before raising her eyebrows once Zeth had left. "Girlfriend? Very presumptuous, Mr Gant," she said, sashaying towards the exit with Zeth in tow.

“I am a man of action, Miss Beech,” Zeth said smoothly, opening the door for Shelly, slipping out his cell phone. Dialing in a number, Zeth waited as the phone rang before someone answered it.
“Janitor speaking,” a voice answered at the other end. Zeth grinned. One of the female janitors. Those ones tended to bend to favors more than the men, “Hey, it’s Gant here. One of the beakers in the forensics lab has broken, and one of the fluorescences has blown. I was wondering if you could make a special run back here and clean it up before the boss finds out. He’s been unusually cranky lately.”
“It’ll cost ya,” the voice at the other end chuckled, “You shout me lunch at a nice café and you’ll have a spotless room.”
“You drive a hard bargain,” Zeth chuckled uneasily. This janitor lady didn’t clean up well in the visual department. Oh well, at worst, everyone will think she’s my mother…. “It’s a deal. I’ll treat you to lunch if you can clean up the disaster area.”
“WHAT?” The voice yelped at the other end, “I thought you said…”
“Wait! What was that sir?” Zeth called out loudly, taking his phone away from his ear, “You wanted the case files for the Baine case? Sure! I’ll bring them to you!” Putting the phone back up to his ear, Zeth tried to sound rushed, “Sorry, I’ve got to go- boss needs me. I’ll catch you at lunch tomorrow.”
“It better be a good café!” Hanging up his cellphone with a grimace, Zeth glanced aside.
“Uh, I think I might have to find a REALLY good café to treat her to…” Zeth chuckled, scratching the back of his head. “She use to be one of the good ones too, but now she’s picking up on everyone else’s bad habits.” Cracking up with laughter, Zeth cheerfully stuffed his hand in his pocket. Glancing to Shelly, he nodded away offering his arm to her, “Lets go, shall we?”

"Gah!" Zeth yelped, rubbing his nose protectively, hoping like heck it wasn't damaged in any sort of way. He wanted to look his best for Shelly. Or atleast not look like he had deranged glasses. Stuffing his glasses back on his face in a rush, the Chief of Police walked past him, looking at him curiously as he slipped into the men's toilet. Zeth face turned into a look of dread, hoping that the cleaning lady was good on her word and cleaning up his mess that moment. Relaxing back onto the wall beside the female toilets door, Zeth then closed his eyes, and pictured Shelly walking off to the toilets.
For once, Bebop is right- what a total knock out. And to think that she could easily be the last thing I'll ever see... Breaking out into a laugh, he didn't know how happy he was with that notion anymore. He was starting to feel pretty attached to the notion of sticking around with her for a long time...
Zoom forward to the Stadium
((I'll assume Shelly has her own wheels since she had to get there somehow. I mean.. "Taxi! Take me to the precinct! I need to kill someone!" Nar- she drove.))
Parking his Vespa beside Klavier's hog once more, Zeth glanced over at the motorbike, and wondered what her reaction to the superstar was. Klavier was a nice guy... so would he hold her back? Or let her have a bit of attention? Or maybe her and Ema had this little thing going on where...
"Gah- shut up Zeth!" Zeth cursed to himself, "She may be a goddess on two legs, but she's only human, and who says that she's a typical chick? Maybe she's not interested in his type? There's a hoping." Slipping off the Vespa, and locking it up, Zeth didn't notice Shelly around the place. She had passed him alot earlier on, being in a faster car than him, and would've gotten there before him. Feeling a little dissapointed, Zeth stuffed his hands in his pockets and shuffled towards the building. Finally getting closer, he spotted Shelly there waiting for him. Adopting a smile again, Zeth picked up his walking pace, trying not to break out into a desperate jog.

"ANYONE HERE!" Phoenix called out on the stage. Trucy, Apollo, Bebop and himself had finally arrived to the stage, but they couldn't find anyone there. Had Maya, Anthony and Marissa gone out? Where was Klavier and Ema? It was time to start filming more Steel Samurai. Anything to take his mind off Zeth's situation.

As Shelly arrived at the filming studio, she kept a subtle eye out for the attractive, if elusive, director she'd met before. She hadn't seen a sign of him, so she assumed that he was in the dressing rooms or still at lunch. She settled herself into Klavier's director chair and waited for Zeth, her legs crossed and an elbow on her knee, arm supporting her chin. Seeing Zeth arrive, Shelly sat up with a small smile, noting how he seemed to walk tensely, as if he wanted to hurry. Odd. Is he running from something?
((I'm guessing that however perceptive Shelly may be she could be quite vague in terms of love. It's lust that she specialises in, right? ^^;))

Ema sighed at Klavier's lack of an excuse and strode out of the dressing rooms to the stage just as she heard Phoenix yell out. "I'm here!" She shouted back half-heartedly, towing Klavier behind her. "And so's the director!" She made her way over to Phoenix, Trucy, Apollo and a man she didn't know. She looked at the man suspiciously. "Who's this?"

))((Ok Angel- a few things about Klavier- him and Ema hooked up. He had a fall out with Anthony, Zeth and Ema went to the lab to do some case research, and he followed then Zeth and Miles had a fall out with each other. Klavier took Ema and Zeth out to lunch at a Japanese restaurant he likes. Phoenix and Miles gate crashed. Zeth went back to the precinct knowing that Shelly Beech had been assigned to kill him. Oh, and Shelly hit on him before he left.))
"Definitely!" Phoenix grinned, swinging his arms around positively. Meeting up with Miles had revived his energy, despite Zeth's predicament. There was just something about the way he treated him that made him feel like he was really worth being his boyfriend, and not just a casual friend. "Dark Phoenix's scenes should be fine for a while. How about the heroes taking on Ruby Stiletto. I'm sure Shelly will be back soon and..." Tailing off, Phoenix realised that was the wrong thing to say. Laughing off his mistake weakly, he put his hand behind his head, "I'm sure it'll all be fine somehow. Zeth can take care of himself, right?"
"Yes Daddy," A voice responded, "I'm a big boy now." Turning to the voice, Zeth strode up to the group cooly with his hands in his pockets, "You look worried, Wrighto. You running low on the old giggle juice?" Pulling out a bag of grape juice bottles, Zeth clucked it on a nearby table. "Am I awesome or what?"
((Go on Nad- Shelly can link arms with him or what if she wants to lay territory :) )

Being caught by surprise at Shelly giving him the kiss on the cheek, Zeth turned his head to her quickly, watching her glide past him to sit on the table beside crossing her legs as she gave Klavier a raised brow. Zeth barely noticed her first gesture to Klavier, Zeth DID however notice her second one at Apollo. Giving her an analytical glance, he realized that there was no feeling in her eyes as she looked, and relaxed.
Creatures of habit, that's what we are... I'm living proof of that. I still buy information on the people around me. I'm so paranoid. Zeth smiled, giving Shelly's cheek a gentle blow to get her attention, just she knew that he had noticed, but didn't mind.
Almost struck to the floor in shock at the revelation that Zeth and Shelly seemed to have hooked up, or come to some sort of agreement, Phoenix's jaw dropped, not sure how to form the words to describe what he was thinking. Shelly was paid to MURDER him, right? Why is it that both of them are alive and are so chummy. She was a De Killer, right? Loyalty and all of that?
Questions the last thing on Bebop's mind, as he pointed accusingly at Zeth.
"YOU!" He said, trying to sound tough... as much as a techno geek can sound, "I warned you that she was coming and you HOOK up with her? There's no justice in this world!"
"Sure there is," Zeth replied thoughtfully, motioning to Shelly, "Now you don't have to scour the security cameras to find a clear shot of my corpse on the floor to get a lasting memory of this goddess." Wrapping his arm around Shelly, he gave her a kisses on her neck, “I’m sure she’ll let you take a few photos of her as a thank you gift for warning me about her.”
