((Right now, the weaponry isn't heading for the city, but that's only because Mike is blocking them. As soon as he's out of the way, the weaponry will head into the city, crushing any and every person who could do something to stop Richard. On the bright side, Mira managed to find a hiding place nearby.))

Mike was getting really tired really fast. He wasn't used to using his psychic powers to this extent. Sweat was streaming down his forehead, but he knew he couldn't stop yet. It put him in a difficult place. He could either collapse from exhaustion, or he could die before he even got there.
Mira...I see these guys getting past me. They'll head to the city once I'm... Anyway, you will be responsible for stopping them...Good luck.

Mira hadn't consciously send telepathic messages, so he focused on Mike, hoping it would work. What about you? Are you going to be ok? Mira asked, ask he began to pick up Sandra.

I'll be fine, Mike thought. Just take care of them. Everyone in that city needs you. I'll hold them off as long as I possibly can.

Mike wouldn't let Mira see this, but he was seeing himself collapse, the helicopters and tanks moving past him. A flood of them. It looked like Mike didn't even leave a dent.

Mira made it so Sandra was on his back before running towards the sound of the ambulance. He wanted to hold off those tanks and helicopters and whatnot, but he was in no position to do so. The idea is to get Sandra to the hospital before calling the police to inform them of the situation. They might not be able to do much, but at least they would be aware.

That's right, Mira. Run. Make sure she's- the thought was cut off as Mike started to get too tired to even think about something besides self-preservation. He redirected more missiles, made a few tanks explode and then he put up a shield around the city, or at least what was close. That's when he collapsed. No. Have to...Can't let... He disappeared.

Mira was looking around for the ambulance when he noted that Mike's thought was cut off. Mike! Mira's thought yelled, awaiting for a response from Mike. He didn't hear a response from Mike. Mira concluded that he died. But now isn't the time to worry about it! When Mira saw an ambulance, he signaled them over to his location.

((FYI: Mike disappeared because he teleported, knowing if he died, the shield would disappear, and he couldn't afford that. Still, he won't be able to stay awake much longer, so the shield will probably fall soon.))

The helicopters that flew too close stopped mid-air. The tanks stopped as well. For a moment everything froze.

Some baffled doctors took the unconscious Sandra from Mira's hands.
"How did this happen?" one of them asked. "D-did she...Catch on fire?!"

"I believe so, but I can't tell." Mira told the doctors. "I'm going to need police support to get more details. In the mean time, it's best that you guys do your job. There are other things going on right now." Mira said, referring to the helicopters and tanks. "It's safe to assume that I don't need to be around?" Mira asked. "'Cuz I'm gonna need to make some cellular calls, which might interfere with nearby medical devices."

"Ummmm...... Ok?" Mira responded, regaining his composure afterwards. Mira took out his badge amd a card with his number (and only his number on it) and handed the to the closest paramedic, then briefly showing his badge to that paramedic only. "Make sure that the hospital calls me at that number when you finished her operation." Mira whispered. "Ask no more questions until after the operation, as by then, I will have more info on the matter. For her safety, pretend that I'm a relative." And with that, Mira walked away from the ambulance, taking out his cell phone when deemed necessary. His first call was to the police department.

I'm requesting police support to investigate this issue." Mira told the officer. "I found her at (the address where Richard's "mansion" was at), but am not in a situation to investigate it safely."

"No, I was just wondering what other emergency you were referring to. I've already called on the air force to deal with the helicopters, but go ahead and call SWAT for the tanks, as it seems kinda dangerous for a fighter jet to destroy a tank in an urban environment such as ours.

"Oh, hey, Mira," Dan said, stopping. Sheila stopped as well. Unfortunately, Edward didn't stop and crashed into all three of them.

"That's not good." Mira said. "Speaking can prove to be very important. Now I'm gonna head back to where Sandra and I where earlier - oh!" Mira remembered. "Sandra is currently in the hospital due to severe burns. That may be why Sheila can't talk.... For some reason. Anyways, I'd go visit Sandra, but I still got work to do. I may see you guys at the hospital later. See ya." And with that, Mira made it back to where he was before, finding a safe place to wait for the police.

Naturally, everyone followed him. Dan obsessively asking about how it happened, Edward trying to force Sheila to talk, and Sheila following without a word. Apparently, they can't take a hint. What a ruckus!

"I'm still trying to investigate the cause of her burn." Mira told Dan. "Now if you'd rather not be killed by tanks and helicopters and the like, I'd recommend that you pay Sandra a visit. And take Sheila to a psychologist when you get the chance. They may be able to at least guess at why she can't talk." Mira started walking faster after he said that last bit to Dan.

Edward and Dan turned around, but Sheila kept walking with Mira.
"Sheila! Come on!" Edward shouted over his shoulder.
I cannot let you face this alone. I know you can hear me, Sheila thought. I'm coming with you. I'll be okay.

Why isn't there anything here? I mean, I thought there was a mansion here a moment ago...And, for that matter, where's Mike? Sheila thought. She saw helicopters and tanks, all stopped in one particular area. It was really creepy. That's what he was talking about...

The shield broke and suddenly an onslaught of helicopters and tanks started going toward them. It looks like the SWAT team and the police are too late...

Sheila did the natural thing and ran forward. Then, she jumped onto a tank and out of Mira's field of vision.

Don't worry, Mira. Here's a sign, Sheila thought. One of the tanks turned around, and took down a helicopter. I don't know how long this tank will last, but it's a start.

Mira gasped. That idea is brilliant! But the police said they'd try to send some officers over to help investigate the cause of Sandra's injuries. Mira started to count the amount of tanks and helicopters there were, as to decide whether or not to take control of a tank and attack the other tanks before the cops arrive (if not SWAT or the air force, in which case, things would be really awkward).

Woah! I think they're catching on! Sheila leapt out of the exploding tank, which took out a few gunners, and landed into another one, continuing her firing.

I need you to secure a path for me to follow, so I can meet up with the police, who will help investigate the issue - once it's clear to do so. I hear them coming right now. Mira told Sheila. "This is hectic!" a cop screamed into the phone. "The SWAT team and air force are busy, and...Dammit!" The sound of guns being fired was the last thing Mira heard through the phone before he lost the signal.

Dammit! Mira yelled to himself. Now how am I going to get assistance with gathering evidence? Mira asked himself. Only one thing to do.... Besides getting to the investigation point. Mira used his phone to text the FBI, requesting as much info they have on Richard Castro as possible. After he sent the message, he continued moving.

Hey Sheila, when you got into the tank, did you observe a lack of an operator? Mira asked Sheila.

Come to think of it, it's strange. No operators as far as I'm aware, Sheila thought as she blasted tanks and helicopters out of Mira's way. So...If we can just find the...! She stopped mid-thought to jump out of the tank that had several missiles fired at it and landed on the bottom side of a helicopter. It's a good thing I've always been athletic... she though as she climbed inside the copter.
The helicopters don't have operators either, she thought. But then, how did they know where to fire the missiles and when? This is so confusing.

Isn't it obvious? Mira asked, piecing the hologram trick and the autonomous artillery trick. The mansion was a hologram generated by Richard - somehow. I saw Richard, but like the mansion, it was a hologram. But if Richard was a hologram, then where is he really? Either way, the safest thing to use is wireless technology. What with satellites and whatnot, long-range connections are possible, but not necessarily reliable. Apparently some of those tanks and helicopters are holograms, but either way, using wireless technology to keep up with the attack is the smartest thing to do, as well as the most probable at this point.

As for the autonomy, Richard probably installed a smart chip in each of those tanks and helicopters. However, it is entirely possible for Richard to buy out the police and/or SWAT officers to operate those tanks and helicopters from a distance. That would explain why the police and SWAT are so suddenly busy. Can you spot any human pilots in any of those helicopters? Mira asked.
