The MIB rubbed his chin, recalling the story. "I do recall hearing the tale, though the Zeng Fa version is slightly different. It wasn't a wolf, but a tiger...." he exclaimed, turning to the seven men. "Get back to your post! There's a tiger loose out here, and we must secure the parameter. Let not beast through this house!" The seven agents saluted the MIB, the exit through the backdoor. "I can't believe a tiger escaped surveillance." He saluted Phoenix. "Carry on, sir. And thanks for the warning..." he turned to leave, but paused. His face turn beet red in frustration. "HOLD IT! There's no tiger on the loose! The Tiger is a lie!!"

Stepping forwards slightly towards the MIB, Kristoph's expression was once again its usual mask of neutral amusement. "The boy who cried wolf, or tiger - it has a moral, has it not? I don't believe that my dear friend meant that there is literally a tiger on the loose."
"Yeah, idiot," Ema spoke up, arms folded where she sat. "Mr Wright was probably trying to say that the call was fake."
Kristoph raised a delicate brow at the detective who averted her eyes under the man's gaze. Did she really have to complete the explanation for him? It wasn't unwelcome, merely unexpected. He had been under the impression that they weren't on the best of terms since...a visit whilst he was still incarcerated.

((In saying this, there is one free spot on the teens team. My biggest issue is continuity of character, and the cool thing about Kay is that she's friends with half the cast. I'd rather you found a character that'd be the correct age for the game in AJ and make up a past than void all of her character development. If you are really passionate about playing Kay thoguh, we could pretend that Ace Investigation happened in AJ time line that that everything was all cool ^^; It'd be confusing for any future AI characters joining, that's all.))

Grabbing onto Kristoph quickly as he began to move forward so he didn't fall over again, Phoenix steadied himself, before slinging his arm over Kristoph's shoulder to keep his steady. Grinning, Phoenix shook his finger teasingly.
"Looks like Miles really wasn't making fun of your Shifu after all. But you know what? A crime can't go un punished, and as you would call it, I'm Justice's 'Shifu' nowdays." Pointing his finger at Apollo, Phoenix looked stern, "Forgery holds no place in Court, or in my company. You'll apologise by completing a dare I have install for you." Turning back to the MIB, Phoenix smiled, "Good sir, I am in need of your services to complete this dare. If you could stay just a little longer. We wont keep you any further from your duties."
((Any ideas of what Phoenix can dare Apollo to do to the MIB that would make Drako laugh?))

The MIB felt quite embarrassed for falling for such a simple trick. Lang would most certainly scold him afterwards for acting so rash. He had dishonored himself as he shifu's right-hand-man.
"Looks like Miles really wasn't making fun of your Shifu after all." The MIB glanced at Miles, bowing his head in shame. "But you know what? A crime can't go unpunished, and as you would call it, I'm Justice's 'Shifu' nowdays." His ears peaked upon hearing Mr Wright using the name Shifu. "Forgery holds no place in Court, or in my company. You'll apologise by completing a dare I have install for you." Such command, the MIB thought. Very much like Agent Lang. The MIB knew that he was right, this lie should not go unpunished.
Phoenix then smiled, looking at the MIB. "Good sir, I am in need of your services to complete this dare. If you could stay just a little longer. We wont keep you any further from your duties." The MIB stood in attention, saluting Mr. Wright. "Sir, yes sir! It will be an honor! For Shifu, the guilty must be punished!"
Draco looked at Mr. Wright with respect. This man is someone who knows how to control the situation, no matter how bad it gets. It's something the detective could admire greatly. He leaned back on the wall, waiting to see just what sort of punishment Wright had for this Apollo. He may even find it...amusing.

Vera smiled as Steve asked if he could sit next to her. "No, not at all, Mr. Gumshoe." She felt the heat rush to her cheeks again, remembering the kiss. She could only hope that the night would go on as well as it has. She glanced at his magnifying glass with interest. She remembered using such a tool in painting, helping her with fine detailing. "Could I ask why you're examining the couch, Mr. Gumshoe?"

"The catches are," Phoenix started thoughtfully, "You must be crying 'Wolf!' the WHOLE time you are looking for your wolf. You must do this on your trusty stead," Phoenix motioned to the MIB, "but since you're so busy yelling 'Wolf!', all you can give him are pointing directions. When you have found a wolf in this house, then you, Apollo must carry it back to us still yelling wolf without your hands. This proof can be what EVER you like as long as you can explain yourself."
Turning to Drako, Phoenix nodded, "Detective Drako, if you would please mediate this dare to make sure that Apollo abids by these rules of the dare." Adopting a full grin, Phoenix was pretty pleased with himself. Surely this would get a grin out of Drako? And Apollo was doing the dare... if he acted up enough then he should be in FITS.
((OK, so with the wolf thing, since he HAS to be able to carry it, Lang isn't an option, but use your imagination with this. My scout group do camel hunts where we have to scavenge all over town for stuff including a camel. You can create a wolf if you wish, or find a part of the wolf and come up with an illustrious story... Essentially, Apollo is a lawyer. PROVE that there is a wolf in a funny way :) Make sure you RP this up so you make Drako laugh too :D ))

((I'd like you to still return the item to the table ever if Drako decides to laugh :) the item could be anything if it's convincing enough. If you don't think it will be, PM me and I'll yay or nay it. Apollo must be crying wolf the WHOLE time too. Till the dare is finished. He can 'wolf' faster or slower if he wishes for instructions, but he MUCH cry wolf. Oh, and Apollo has to be the one to bring it back- not his 'horse'

Kristoph scoffed slightly, moving his head away from Phornix in case he would actually attempt to put his finger in his ear. "Hardly. I am more worried about you - you have had less time to adjust to his...volume." He shifted on his feet again, experimentally moving his finger in the trap. They really were stuck tightly. It would be a difficult feat trying to release each other once the round finished. He looked at Ema with an eyebrow raised. Did she know that Phoenix would pick Kristoph for the dare?

Draco was very impressed by the acuity of the dare Mr. Wright thought of. It's well suited for the situation. "Very well," he said, crossing his arms. "I will supervise the kid to make sure he follows the rules."
The MIB couldn't help but cringe a little at the thought of acting out as a horse...but then again, if Shifu had no problem acting like a dog, then he should not complain. He was worried however, that the quail man might hurt his back. He would have to take it carefully. This was all to make that dragon looking detective laugh? He would give it his all to see it done.

She found herself quite taken with what Steve was telling her. She had a keen since for detail herself, but never had she thought of what the detail could tell her more about the past. Perhaps if she had known this several years ago, she would never had done that terrible deed, causing Mr. Wright to lose his badge. She felt Steve's hand squeeze her's gently, making her feel reassured. She smiled, blushing lightly.
"Tell me a bit about yourself..." he asked.
Vera didn't know where to start. "Well..." she began. "...One thing I always love is painting and drawing. It was natural for me to take it up when my father was an artist himself." She frowned, recalling that father was not around anymore. "He's no longer with me..." she said softly, trying not to cry.

))Apollo's eyes widened at the dare. His hands twitched as his mind shut down from how...embarrassing this was going to be. He sighed and rubbed his forehead as he thought how he would do this. Where would he find a wolf...? He started sweating and grinned nervously when he came up with nothing.
Walking slowly over to the MIB who had gotten on the ground and bent over, Apollo slid onto his back, imagining he was just a horse. Just a normal horse like the ones he used to ride when he was younger. He looked at Mr. Wright and everyone's face before smirking slightly. He was going to make this dare painful. A second later, he pointed towards the hallway, eerily similar to when he objected in court.
"WOLF!" his voice rumbled through the entire apartment as the dare began.

Nadine jumped nearly out of her skin as a thunderous bellow of "WOLF!" issued from the kitchen. Clutching Darren's arm with the sudden surprise, she peered in the direction of the noise. "Er...I'm guessing another dare's on?" She laughed nervously in an attempt to dismiss her embarassing reaction.
Trucy rolled her eyes. "That's gotta be Polly," she said to nobody in particular. She too peered around in the direction of the kitchen. Whoever dared him to use his chords of steel must be either crazy or used to it already. Daddy...he's both. She grinned to herself before leaning back and propping her weight up on her hands. It was quiet - Polly's shouting was an interesting interlude.
((No seriously, we need to get the teen game back on track. ^^; Counting up the characters being controlled by active members here, we don't actually have as many as once thought. Ark - maybe it's time for an inactivity check? ^^; Not to seem pushy, but otherwise it's confusing when it gets to spinning, which is pretty much the only way to get the teens active again.))

One of the many perks of listening to the cheers and count offs of 99 men is that you're never taken back by anyone's wail. This proved useful in the case of Mr. Justice's shouting. If he was going to go through with this, he was going to have some fun. He neighed, rearing back like a horse does, and rushed on all fours into the hallway, hitting the walk a little too hard.
"No hoarsing around!" Draco warned...then realized the irony in the bad pun he made. Slapping his face, he followed suit after Apollo and the MIB.

Watching the chaos unfold before him, Phoenix grinned, remembering the days when Miles, Larry and himself were boys, and they use to try to come up with the most hilarious dares for eachother that they could. Larry always seemed to best the both of them, but Phoenix was always able to give him a run for him money. His imagination was always very active.
Being distracted by the dare progressing before him, Phoenix almost didn't notice Kristoph trying to move out of the way of the dare till he was guiding his hands down to his waist to turn around slightly. Wrapping his free arm around Kristoph's back for balance Phoenix nodded, as the two scuttled out of the way of the dare. Phoenix was suddenly REALLY glad he hadn't picked Miles. If it were Miles in front of him, he'd be a wreck by now.
Trying his best not to lean too heavily on Kristoph as they moved, Phoenix watched the MIB get into character more, as he made fun with the situation. This was going alot better than he had planned.
"The kids are going to think we're crazy by now," Phoenix grinned, relaxing his stance, "This is certainly one Spin the bottle game they wont forget in a while!"

Feeling Nadine grab onto his arm in fright at the foghorn noise came from the depths of the kitchen, Darren pulled a long face as he spotted one of the adults riding out of the kitching on one of the weird MIB guys hunting around. Pausing for a moment to take in the weird sight, Darren wasn't sure what to make of it.
"Er...I'm guessing another dare's on?" Nadine stated, obviously bashful of her actions. Darren grinned, giving her a nod as he wrapped his arm around her fully,
"You bet," Darren laughed, "This looks like a pretty crazy dare to me. They're both going pretty full out," Leaning toward the two adults, Darren positioned his hand to call out, "YIIIIIEEEE HAR! You find that wolf thar ya cowboy!"
Alex snorted a laugh as Darren yelled out. The guy was loud, but it was hardly enough to take him by surprise. Games were ALOT louder than this. Positioning himself to watch, it was a nice break from the pressure of females.

His vision blurred and instantly, Apollo turned his head and saw right in a very familiar friend's arm, a sketchpad, however there was a wolf on it. Just the thing he was looking for. He shook his head and suddenly, everything went back to normal however he was slightly shocked at the presence of Vera Misham who he hadn't seen in quite some time.
Grinning weakly, he quickly pushed those thoughts to the back of his mind and then stretched his arm out.
"WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLF!" he cried again beckoning his trusty steed by pointing towards Vera's sketchpad.

Kristoph tried not to be too surprised as a blue clad arm wrapped around his back. It was only natural that Phoenix should do that, of course. Their positioning wasn't exactly the best for standing without aid. Still...it was making him just the tiniest bit nervous. Of course, he wouldn't show it, but if it meant something else to Kristoph, then...
Clearing his throat slightly, Kristoph turned his head away from Phoenix's, which was in close proximity. "I...well, this game has quite a few crazy people in it," he teased gently, in an attempt to carry on the normal conversation despite having to keep his expression in check.

Nadine smiled as she was cuddled, eyes flicking automatically to Charisa before her gaze returned to Darren. "Word of advice, Daz...don't become a cowboy any time soon." With this, she started laughing along with Alex, wincing again as a louder, prolonged cry of "WOLF!" rumbled through the apartment.

Vera stepped back in great surpize, not sure how to react. She soon realised, however that Apollo must be doing one of those dares in the other room, like the wolf man. Before she could react though, Steve stepped in front of her, shielding her from Apollo.
"That's not a wolf pal! Don't hurt her!" He shouted, stretching his arms out. "I won't let you near Miss Vera..."
Draco watched all that unfolded, but became quite focus when he hear the red headed kid shouting. He reconized him right away as Dick Gumshoe's kid, just as loud and full of energy as the detective. But there was something about the way he's shielding the girl that fell into the back of his mind.
...he recalled it. It was when he first started out on the force nearly 13 years ago. He was dating Valarie Hawthorne then. He remembered doing the same thing when she was getting chewed by the chief detective. He jumped in, just as rambutious as this kid is now.
Vera looked down at Steve's hand as he held hers. Even though he means well, Vera couldn't help but find Steve's reaction to the situation...funny. She pfft, trying to hold her laugh in, but found it was no good, and began to laugh in ernest, squeezing Steve's hand. "Steve...you don't have to worry," she said when she regain control. "Mr. Justice wants this drawing I've done, is all." She ripped the wolf sketch out and held it out to Apollo.
Hearing the girl's laughter also set something in Draco's memory, how Valarie laughed when she saw the ernest look in his eyes as he attempted to defend her. He couldn't help but smile, and finding his attitude compare to the young Gumshoe here...quite funny. He finally laughed, a clear and long one for everybody to hear.

From nearby, Phoenix chuckled at Zeth forcing the dare to continue. His plan must've worked if Apollo was slacking off now. Surely, Apollo didn't want the wrath of a used MIB at him for leading him around the bend... TWICE.
"I would certainly like that," Kristoph continued the conversation, brushing the yukata clean with his hand, "Maybe...after this party, we could have some time to catch up," Glancing over to Kristoph, Phoenix spotted Kristoph's smile. Not being able to help adopting a smile even broader than Kristoph's as he saw it, the day was starting to look up for Phoenix finally.
"Yes! And perhaps you could tell me a bit about your court case? Maybe the new jurist system would be of a help to your case? Maybe even I could defend you as my first case back..." Glancing away with a sudden false smile, memories of that one time he shared the courtroom with Kristoph returned. He had watch from the audience so many times, but behind the stand, Kristoph was a man to be feared. Maybe he didn't want or need him help...

"To be honest? The introduction of the new jurist system is one of the reasons for my parole," he said quietly. "So I don't think it would be much of a help to my case. Your defense however..." Kristoph paused before smiling, pushing his glasses up with a free hand. "That would most definitely help my case, if you...thought it was right for you to do."
He was referring, of course, to the fact that Phoenix refused to defend anyone but the innocent. A childish choice, maybe, but if he had seriously offered to take his case then he must think, at least to some extent, that Kristoph was innocent.

"WOLF!" he cried for hopefully the last time as he pointed towards the kitchen, holding Vera tightly and grimacing when she struggled in his hands.
