Shintei had dozed off when he heard his laptop beeping, signaling an incoming message. He jumped from the bed and established connection with Mero.
"....My God. I'm very sorry..." The young detective was rendered speechless for a few seconds after that. "...I guess it's just us two now, huh? Your friend's death doesn't fit Kira's normal M.O., but I'd still be careful. I want you to assume an alias for the remainder of this investigation. He glanced at the clock. Woops, guess he'd slept in.
His eyes then drifted to the brown envelope that lay on the floor, it had probably been slid under the door sometime in the morning.
He got up and snatched it off the ground, sliding out the information sheet held within it. He glanced up and down it.
"Only one... Strange..."
"Mero Hyachi..."
His phone began to ring again, he took it out flipping it open.
"Oh come on what's happened now..." He muttered into the handset, annoyance clear in his voice.
"I take it you've received the files?"
"Yes, you said there was a group investigating Kira, I've only got one bio..."
"One of them died in a traffic accident shortly after your arrival."
"That's a nice co-incidence"
"That's all we have for you, we take it you've already made contact?"
Tony looked around nervously eying the clock again.
"I did it hours ago" He said trying to disguise his tiredness.
"O.k we'll-"
"And while I have you, get one of our guy's in the Japanese police force to destroy these damn records, if we can get a hold of them so easily so can Kira. Do whatever you have to do"
"O.k, we'll-"
"Goodbye" Tony said before quickly hanging up. He then quickly glanced at the bio again.
"O.k... Phone number... Phone number...Ah here we go!" He then thumbed in the number to his phone and stuck it to his ear.

"I'm his... biggest fan," Richard replied. What a bummer. This guy wasn't scared, angry, or anything. He was curious, like he were some kind of supporter. Description (mostly for 0, but 7 gets a mention): Hired by the U.S. to look into Kira. 0 is a private detecive, but he is talented enough that the government hires him on cases like this. 7 works under him. Although the United States Government contacted him about the case after they got wind of the prison victems, he had already started work on the case. He learned of the Kira case by following Mero's movements. For some reason he is interested in Mero ((NO NOT LIKE THAT!)).

7 had just walked away from Shan's house. He began talking to 0 via a miniature microphone he had hidden and a speaker in his ear.
"I found it." 7 said.
"..The notebook?" 0 said.
"Ya, and it's legit, ..I saw the monster.." Seven replied.
"That proves it, that guy's Kira" Zero said.
"........and......it may have seen me..." 7 said.
"You know what that means?" 0 said.
"I could die.....I-I know....." "I knew that could happen going into this...." 7 said
"We don't know that. We know almost nothing about these monsters. We just know what was shown in the video." Zero said.
They knew about the Shinigamis at least somewhat. They knew that people who touched a special notebook could see a monster. They gathered this from a classified video of when police caught the Yotsuba Kira.
"I-I guess..." "It feels weird though to not know if I'll die or not, that my life is in the hands of stuff we don't know much about" Seven said.
"Well then frankly I can't see why you signed up for the job." 0 said.
"There's something I don't understand sir.." 7 said
"What is it?" 0 asked.
"Why didn't you want me to take the notebook? His fingerprints should be on it.... we could nab him!" 7 asked.
"Our intentions are not to catch him at the moment. I want to watch and see what happens." 0 replied.
"You just want to watch as people die!?!?" "We could stop him!" "Seeing if Mero can solve it isn't as important as LIVES!" 7 said.
"I realize that, though it's not just to see if he can solve it." "Our mission is to catch KIRA, it's not to catch Shan." 0 explained.
"We just proved that they're one and the same though." 7 said.
"No they're not. There is an important difference. In the past, 'Kira' has been several people and now Kira's back. Our goal is to reasearch Kira and hopefully put an end to it once and for all." "If we kill off this Kira now, we'll make the same mistake they made in the past, we won't stop the main problem. We won't prevent another Kira from showing up, it would be meaningless." 0 said.
