((Just watch)).

The president of the networking company was waiting in the lobby. "Hello there," He greeted Martha. "I'm George Golding, president of this broadcasting company. Since we are dealing with actual court cases, I must apologize for the fact that you had little evidence to work with. He needed an attorney and by law we must provide one for him. That's why you barely had any evidence during that case."

"Yeah. If Sahwit didn't pretty much confess (twice) I would've been a goner," Martha said. "I am Martha Fey. Is there anything I can do for you, Mr. Golding?"

"Please tell me more about yourself. You were great out there." George told Martha. "I like to interview attorneys like you."

"More about myself..." Martha began. "I am a spirit medium. I...um...I got this badge about a year ago. My favorite color is blue. I like to watch the sunrise and the sunset. I grew up in Kurain. Is there anything else you would like to know about me?"

"Interesting, because Mr. Payne is a prosecuting god, yet you knocked him off his cloud! It's not everyday that someone actually beats him!" George told Martha. "Just be careful when you're going around town. That trial was broadcast nationwide!"

"Um...Yeah," Martha said. Although I could swear it is everyday someone defeats him. Still, it's kind of nice to know I'm getting some publicity.

Martha decided it was time for her to go back to her office. She sat on the couch as soon as she got there, and didn't move. She was shaking. Her second trial had really shaken her up. She was afraid it would wind up like her first one so many times throughout, especially since she had only one piece of evidence and misheard a few things. Martha touched her attorney's badge instinctively, making sure it was still there.

There was a knock on the door. The knock sounded desperate..... Really desperate.... Almost as if the person at the door was about to die, but not quite.

Martha reluctantly got up quickly and answered the door. "Hello?" she asked the person who was knocking.

"You're Ms. Fey from tonight's trial...... Right?" The man asked in desperation. "Oh I don't care! I just need help....!" The man said, as he looked to his side nervously, as if someone was after him.

The man came in, shaking with paranoia, looking over his shoulder every so often. "It's.... It's... It's the Mafia." The man said. "I failed to carry out a favor and now they're going to do me harm!" The man said, continuing his paranoid behavior.

"But what about my kids!? My wife! My business! Oh....." The man said, continuing to panic. "Surely a lawyer like you can prevent this, can you?"

"Um...I am a lawyer. The most I can do is defend you," Martha said, not sure what to make of the panicking man. "What do you want me to do exactly?" She locked the door, just to put her mind at ease for a little bit.

"They threatened to harm me in every way possible..." The man said, trying to calm down. "Legal, social.... Physical, you can understand that I don't like dying, right?" The man asked, not leaving any room for an answer. "But I don't like losing all I have, nor do I like going to jail."

The man tried to explain, but there was another knock on the door. "Police, open up!" The person at the door said.

The man put his head in his hands. "I'm done for...."

"Done for?" Martha asked. She looked through the peep hole on the door. The officers were legit alright. She unlocked and opened the door, staying in the doorway. "What's the problem, officers?"

"We have an arrest warrant for Al Machino." One of the officers said. "His landlord told him he was seeking shelter from the law." He continued on, ignoring the fact that Martha was on TV last night. "I'm afraid I'm going to have to arrest you for sheltering the murderer from the law." He continued, not noticing Martha's badge.

"Excuse me," Martha said, flashing her badge at the officer. "This is all a misunderstanding, sir. I can assure you I am not sheltering anyone. Please come in, and I wouldn't go around saying the man is a murderer. The trial hasn't happened yet, and I am sure you will change your mind by the time the trial is over." She stepped out of the way to let the officers in. "So I guess the more accurate term for what I was doing was meeting my future client who happens to be a murder suspect."

The officers stepped in. "Why do you think he's hiring an attorney in advance?" The same officer asked. "I apologize for assuming you were sheltering a murderer, but you don't have any more information to defend him at this time. We, however, concluded that he did kill the victim and have evidence to prove it." The officer bent his head so he could see the person who can now be called Al. "Al, you're under arrest!"

"Don't worry, Al. If you're innocent, I'll prove that you are," Martha whispered into Al's ear. "I'll see you soon." Then, she turned to the officer. "At this time, you're right. I have nothing else to go off of except what he told me so far. And, as for hiring me in advance, I believe it is because he doesn't want to lose everything for not having at least a decent attorney. So, what exactly is this evidence that convinces you that this man is the killer?"

The policeman smiled. "You'll find out." He said, cuffing Al, and taking him away. The other policemen followed.

Hm...What do I do now? It looks like they'll be interrogating Al when they get to the detention center, so I won't be able to talk to him for a while. if only I knew something about this case. The only way I'll find out anything is through either Al or maybe from some officers at the Police Department down the street, Martha thought as she opened the door to leave. This was going to be one of those days...

As she walked out, her phone rang. It was a text message from the Superior Court. What could it be? Is it something about the trial?

" Hello-o. This is your pho-one. Ring, Riiiiiiinnnng! Ooooh. I wonder who it is! C'mon answer it. I can't handle the suspense," said Martha's gay phone. Why did I let my sister pick my ring tone? "Oops. Myyyy baaaad! You've got a text message! O-" Martha opened her phone and read the text message.

The Superior Court wrote:
Martha Fey,

We have received documentation for the prosecution of Al Machino for the charge of murder and will hold a trial tomorrow. You have been requested as the defendant's attorney.

Since you have been in court already today, it is highly advised that you take this day to rest up for tomorrow. All of the documentation will be provided for you tomorrow.

Rest?! How am I supposed to do that when I have to find out what's happened?! I don't want to be caught off-guard again, Martha thought. Documentation isn't what I need. What I need is to know what happened straight from Al's mouth. And only a day to prepare. Yikes! Martha decided the best thing to do was to go to the detention center and wait for Al to be done being interrogated.

30 minutes later, the interrogation ended, and those in charge of the interrogation left the room. Al just sat there in the room. He doesn't look that happy.

"Al," Martha said. "I'll defend you tomorrow, but to do that, I need to know what happened. Could you please tell me?" She had been waiting in there for fifteen minutes by then, and she was not going to leave without hearing his story. She recognized that he wasn't happy, but, then again, who would be?

"I don't know what happened." Al said. "First the Godfather said he'll punish me, now this! Oh I knew something like this will happen!" Al grieved.
