They were now close enough to the stairs that Carmen could clearly feel and differentiate the minds hiding up there. There was only two, that wasn't too bad...
Carmen was following the rest of the group from behind. Her eyes absently drifted from Aria-Dies'...sister?-and then to Exo. She shook her head, dispelling the thought she'd been having.
She instead thought of the ice shot that had been sticking out of the back of Exo's head earlier. She could think of a few water/ice masters in the Legion, but in D.I.G. they only had one and he was almost always with that buddy of his, some pyromancer. If there was a water/ice user that had a reason to be down there then it would probably be-
A wave of blood lust and excitement suddenly spiked from the stairs and Carmen instinctively stepped back.
"Look out!"
A light flared first, then flames guided and concentrated by the narrow stone stairwell formed a fiery wall that quickly died a meter from the first step, but left the stone bleached with heat.

"And we won't hold back," the ice guy added. "Unless, of course...Exo gives herself up."
Me? Why me? Exo thought as she trudged back up the stair case, avoiding being seen.

"Come here," Anthony beckoned. The soldier stiffened. He knew that this guy was dangerous, and the boss said not to give him a chance to escape.
Anthony scowled. "Fine, then. Call one of the guys I just fought. Your boss, or his friend."
The soldier gulped and called outside, to another guard. "Hey, go get Steel or BlackJack."
The other soldier looked at him curiously, but went off. Unable to find BlackJack, he approached Steel's office. "Sir, the captive has requested your presence," he choked.

Steel was in his chambers, sitting down, going through everything in his head, trying to find some peace.
"Sir, the captive has requested your presence", a soldier suddenly said, leaning the open door a bit.
Damn, he thought. He sighed, and spoke. "Fine... I'll go." He stood up, and walked to the Tentacle Man's cell.
When he entered, he saw the Tentacle Man was wide awake, and looking at him.

He suddenly stopped shaking. He had thought of it.
He raised his gun, pointing at the Tentacle Man's head. He paused for a long while before doing anything.
Then: "Bang...!", he said, slightly. His finger had never even approached the trigger. "...I'll have to do with that." He put his gun in its place, ordered the guards to keep him secured, and left the room.
Once out, he took his gun again, and held it. Just in case...

Steel smiled, even when the Demon Man had broken the sirynge. "Well...", he said, playing. "If you reeeally want me to..." He called for one of the medics, and spoke to his ear. The medic handed Steel something. He readied his gun, and entered the room.
In less than seconds, he entered the room, raised his gun, and shot a metal sirynge at the Demon Man's neck. "There", he said. "You wanted to do it the hard way. Now try to break that, my mind will make sure you don't." He left the room, still with a little smile drawn in his face.

After giving that strap of his cloak to Exo, Dies turned to the pyromancer and water guy. He was confident, but calm. "And tell me... Why Exo?", he asked the duo, just to distract them.
"Well, it seems WE have to answer now, huh?", he pyromancer said.
"It's as simple as this: Give us Exo and we'll let you three go", the water guy said, cocky. "We don't have to give any explanations, do we?"
Dies smiled. So simple..., he thought. He didn't want to do this again, but this time it was for Exo's protection.
He focused, and entered the water guy's mind.
"Am I doing the right thing?"
The water guy's surprise was evident. Dies saw this as delightful.
"This guy... This pyromancer... What if he-?
"What!? What!?", the water guy's mind asked itself.
"He must be a traitor!"
"Wh-What!? No, that can't be, I've worked with him-"
"What if... He's been trying to win my confidence all this time?
The water guy looked at the pyromancer, dubious. Dies wanted to laugh.
"I must kill him before he can kill me!
Dies was surprised at how this last phrase was the water guy's invention, and not his.
"Now is a perfect opportunity!"
"You!!", the water guy screamed, and started attacking the pyromancer.
"Wha-!? Dude!?", the pyromancer reacted, defending himself.
"We should leave them alone, shouldn't we?", Dies told Exo, Aria and Carmen, smiling. "Let's go." They headed to an exit as fast as they could, hoping to get out of the building safe.
((Cue Exo/Aria/Carmen, whoever wants to go on))

Did you...Brainwash them? Like you tried to do with me? She passed by the two, and felt sorry for them. She could have been doing the same thing not too long ago. With Steel. I can't dwell on that. It was the only way to escape, she tried to reason.

Anyway, I would normally have no problems taking Zarran, but 4 characters (Steel, BlackJack, Dies, Zarran) seems like too much :\ ))

"You can start now", he told the medics. "Be sure to keep him sedated constantly. You have no idea what this single individual can do. So just consider this: If he breaks free, all of you will die."
He saw how they all looked panicked, but he considered it worth it.

The doctors used every kind of blade, cutting utensil, even a chainsaw, but the demonic skin would not yeild. The Officer wiped his brow and sighed. "This is going to be a long surgery..."

I... I thought it would do them, and us, the least damage.
They will eventually realize what I did.
Also... I saw how they attacked you and Aria, and... Well, let's just say I wouldn't want to waste too much energy in fighting them.
Nor risk your life, he also thought, but to himself. Blushing a bit, he was afraid Exo would understand that... the wrong way.
If you thought it was wrong of me, I'm sorry, but it's the least I could do to get the hell out of this place, he thought, again to Exo.

Appearance: She has blond, curly hair that falls to her shoulders, pale skin, and piercing blue eyes. She tends to wear green whenever she can.
Weapons: None.
Armor: None.
Personality: She is pretty irrational at times, hotheaded, but also completely in control. She feels as if, being able to have multiple powers, that she is the one who has to make sure everything is going smoothly, even though that is not her job.
Bio: She doesn't remember anything before The Accident, but since then she was found and brought into the Legions. She was unable to control her emotions at the time and tried to run away with her super speed because she was afraid. When she was grabbed, she made a force field that knocked whoever grabbed her back pretty far. At that point, she became a SARD, but then she became so angry one day that she set fire to her office. At that point, they realized what her power was and moved her into DIG so Carmen could balance her out. Since then, she has learned to control her emotions and now feels unstoppable.
Is this okay with everyone?))
