"Yu Gi Oh!? That's so lame/ gay!" Well, Yu Gi Oh GX is way better than the original series. (It even makes fun of the original series once and a while.) In this, you can play as Characters from the show, characters from the old show that were cool (Kaiba, Joey, Mako, exc.), or even OCs. Just remember: We're trying to make this show seem better than it really is. Just roll with it.

Will walked up to the dumpy little building in excitement. Finally. he thought. I'm in the dueling acadamy. He stepped toward it a little more when someone stopped him.

Back Story: Ina never liked Duel Monsters at all, in fact, she still doesn't. The only thing is...... she's good at it. To a point where her dad enrolled her in tournaments and championships. She became a teacher to please her dad and to have a nice paycheck. She does like how the cards look. Especially the cute or pretty ones.

Back story: Training with his friends and his brother, Declan has managed to build a deck built of light and dark cards, including Exodia, he's never actually used it, though. He's trying to get into the duel academy, to find someone to use Exodia on.

Ina was preparing her classroom for the incoming freshman, even though she didn't really want to. "Why couldn't I teach the older students???" Simple. She lost in the teacher lottery. Apparently freshman aren't exactly the best group to deal with. Ina sighed. "Well, might as well get my lesson plans." She opened the files and took out one that read, "DUEL MONSTERS 101"

Back story: Nalla got into the acadmy through sleights of hands. He occaisoanly still does it. He has plenty of experience and at home, he was more of an advoce-giver then a duelist. In his small town, he was ever the best... he respects smaller duelists more then larger ones.

Back story: Brock grew up in an area highly prone to heavy earthquake activity. One day, a Magnitude 10 hit the town and many hundreds died from it. On a search of the rubble by the rescue team, a young boy of twelve was found to be encased, almost miraculously, by the surrounding rubble in such a way that he didn't even get a scratch despite over 200 pounds of rubble lay over him. To this day, he has viewed the Earth as a powerful force of nature that can defend against anything as well as wreak disasterous havoc.
With these beliefs in mind, he fashioned a deck made out of several rock-type monsters. After winning a few tournaments, he won an all-expenses-paid trip to Egypt to participate in the Pharoah's Cup, a tournament held by Industrial Illusions to pay tribute to one of dueling's greatest legends, Yugi Mutou. With his burning ambition and already powerful cards, he dominated at the tournament. The winnings included three really rare cards: Criosphinx, Hieracosphinx, and Guardian Sphinx.
As the champion and with nowhere else to really go, he remained in Egypt for a while. As he walked the streets, he stumbled upon an old hovel accidentally only to find a strange looking man in white clothes and a turban. The man, believing him to be an burglar, withdrew a dagger to pierce the boy when the three cards he had won just then revealed themselves without a hologram and blocked the dagger's strike.
Seeing this, the mysterious man sincerely apologized and, knowing what those beasts were, humbly presented Brock with a mysterious looking card closely resembling the legendary Exodia as well as a card that looked very similar in appearance to a dragon, though not quite. After that, the mysterious man told him to depart to Duel Academy where his future may unfold.

Will turned to see who it was, but didn't see anyone. He looked back at the dorms again and began walking toward it again. He stopped at the door and took out his key. He heard the roar of the waves and moved behind the dorms to the ocean, leaving the door wide open. "What a view." he thought out loud. He heard another voice near his dorm. "HEY! WHO'S BREAKING INTO MY ROOM!!!" Will ran back to the room. A tall guy with blue hair stood in front of it.

Back Story: It's Joseph's second year here at the acadamy and he's one edgy guy. He doesn't like people touching his stuff ever since someone broke into his dorm and stole his deck. Then he bought what looked like his exact deck from a shady character in the allies. Little did he know, he bought his own deck from the same guy who stole it from him.
Will backed off a little. "I'm sorry." he said, nervously. "I thought it was mine." Joseph examined him. "You Will?" he asked. Will nodded. "Yeah. Why?" Joseph sighed. "Looks like I'm your roommate." He stepped into the room. "I'm Joseph. Stay out of my way." Will followed him and looked around. The place was totally clean. "Wow. You sure are organized." Will asked. "Yeah. I am. Don't touch my stuff." Will sighed and put down his stuff and sat on his bed.Yeah, nice to meet you, too! he thought, sarcasticly.

He had heard there was a small dormitory by the shore, which he decided to wander over to. he could hear some kids quarreling a bit, so he decided to check it out. He saw a couple guys wearing Red, signifying the weakest of the three dormitories, though he never cared much about rank. It was a shame there wasn't a green dormitory as he liked how the color green looked on him. But alas...
Brock made his way over to the kids by facing the doorway and knocking on the open door, "Erm, excuse me. Knock knock?" Brock stated in what sounded like a question.

Brock activated his dueling disk and drew his hand of five cards. He smirked a little, "I hope you don't mind me taking initiative! I play two cards face-down, one monster in face-down defense position. With that, I end my turn."
As he explained each of his actions, he took them at the same time. He placed two cards from his hand into the slots in his dueling disk face down and another card face down and sideways on his dueling disk.

Back story: A quiet, bookish type of person, Drake kept to duelling as little as possible. Where he came from, he didn't stop attempting to win in each duel. He entered the academy, but still doesn't duel as often as he should be. He uses a Machine deck, mainly.

Drake, too, watched the battle with interested eyes. He continued reading a blank book quickly, however.

Back story: Hibari was orignally very into Duel Monsters and was even in a few tournaments. Of course, He had never won one but was happy anyway just playing. Then a man came around beat him so throughly in one turn it changed his attitude and somehow made him laid back....
The strange man gave him the Card that oblierated him, a orignally weak card that had a devestating ability, the more equip spell cards on it...The stronger it became. After some training Hibari came back to tournaments and started to win with a new deck including the card that beat him so badly. After winning a few tournaments the man came back and told him to go to The Duel Academy. Hibari refused and continued to play.
The man came back yet again, but this time placed a bet. If Hibari won, he could stay, If he won, he would have to go to the academy. Hibari played but the man had some...Rare monsters thought to not exist anymore. Like Relinquished and Raviel. Need less to say Hibari lost, Hard. Hibari asked the man how in the world he got ahold of those cards and the man simply said,
"Go to Duel Academy."
This simply pissed off Hibari who tried to beat up the man but the man knocked out Hibari.....When Hibari came to he was on a boat bond for the Academy.....

Hibari was a bit bored. He was walking around the forest and was moaning about how he was ticked into the Academy. Of course, no one was nearby to hear it, not even a bird. Hibari got over his ranting and moaning and started to walk back to the school.
It took him a little while as he had wandered pretty far into the forest but when he neared the entrance to the school some random student pushed him out of the way saying something about how a duel was going one.
"A duel huh? Wonder if it will be any good? Might as well go check I guess..."

As he exclaims his moves, he performs them, drawing a card. He then offers his face down monster as a tribute to lay another face-down monster. Suddenly, a hidden compartment on his Dueling disk opens and a spell card is inserted, providing a hologram of dark rainclouds raining down a purple-hued liquid that appears to scorch the ground as the downpour hits it.

(I don't have that luxury because of lack of table space, but I know my Rock deck like the back of my hand and what my draws are typically like, so I am using Image Training to see what draws I may get, then recording what my cards are in a .txt document.)
Brock looked confused at his opponent, "Silver Fang? That's an unfortunate choice. Well, it's my turn if you don't plan to take the offensive." The dark purple rain of acid hits Silver fang as his attack power is reduced to 700 while its defense is increased to 1200. Brock draws a card, "That'll be useful. I summon the Grave Ohja in Attack Mode!" With that, Brock plays the effect monster in attack position, the purple acid striking it, reducing its attack power to 1100 and increasing its defense power to 1900, "This guy's got a couple nifty powers. First off, he hides behind my face-down monsters, making it so you can't attack him when I have a face-down monster in play. The other effect deals 300 points of damage to you whenever I flip summon a monster."
Brock then smiles, "Well then, shall we get the ball rolling? I flip summon my face-down card, Guardian Sphinx! This card also has another pair of abilities. First off, when it is flip summoned, all of your monsters return to your hand." Guardian Sphinx's eyes glow slightly as Slate Warrior and Silver Fang literally fly off of Will's Duel Disk and land in his hand. Brock smirks again, "That's not all, though. When my Guardian Sphinx is flip summoned, Grave Ohja deals you 300 points of damage." With this, the Grave Ohja fires a small beam at Will, decreasing his Life Points to 7700.
Brock then continues his explanation, "I'm a little nervous about your face-down cards, so I don't feel like attacking. I activate Guardian Sphinx's other ability: Once per turn, I can flip him into face-down defense position and end my turn, protecting my Grave Ohja from an offensive attack! With all of that, I end my turn."

((My rock deck is rather weak against very fast high-level decks, but no kind of deck can defeat it when I have everything out. This is why I use it in real life only if someone wishes to playtest a deck against me. But when I have everything out, I can render the opponent unable to attack, keep every monster in defense position, and win by either destroying any monster that comes out or sending it to the hand and forcing the opponent to discard it, both by effects, which triggers the effect of the second most powerful monster in my deck, which deals 1000 every time an Earth monster is flip summoned. Also, if my opponent is ever able to break this somehow and I manage to survive, I can use the most powerful monster in my deck to overpower anything he has. If that fails, imagine three level 4 monsters with a defense equal to the attack and defense power of that same monster. If it's big enough (which it can get), the damage backfire is enough to kill someone at full LP.
That's how dangerous my deck is when you move too slowly against it.))

"You are aware that monsters such as Breaker may not be used in official duels, correct? And I take no exceptions to the rules."
((As future advice, if you do not own the deck you are playing with, try using an online randomiser - such as http://www.randomizer.org. If you do so, make sure to keep an internal note of the number each card corrsepends to (such as Dark Magician being 1, Black Luster Solider being 2... etc.) Keep them all in a .txt file for reference. Thanks ^_^))

((...and if you do have a real deck, might I suggest playing a game using an IM or a chatroom? Then take a transcript of all of the moves in that game and both you and your opponent play the game in the RP exactly as transcribed, but with more RP and flair. That's how I would have played this game, but I'm just relying on Image Training.))

Hibari knew one thing....A Duel was happening somewhere nearby and by the fact that people where running away from the school....It was somewhere else? Hibari started to listen in to two random students talking about the duel. Something about a Duel at his dorm....Hibari started to run towards his dorm to see...Two duels going?
"Cool....Maybe someone wants to duel with me?"
Hibari started to look around but could not see anyone so he carefully walked around the duel going on and went to his room. It was empty except for his clothes and a bed. If Hibari remembered correctly...There was a class supposed to be going on right now for the Slifers...Hibari took out his deck after he layed down on his bed and started to look at it and change some cards inside.
