((*Wipes brow* Thank Jeezas. I was sure there would be a mental slap to the mouth. Okay, my OC: Name: Alexander Reid Age: 16 Appearance: 5'8", with long black hair and a reclusive, thin face. He's skinny, but not bare-bones. Wearing a long sleeved gray shirt, with cargo pants. Personality: Recluse and with a ridiculously crippling low self esteem. His self-hate is rather unfounded, however. For example, he's a good looking kid, but in his mind he couldn't be uglier. He gets good grades, but insists his stupidity.)) Alexander Reid peeked out of the bushes outside of the all carefully; if anyone saw him, he would flush and go through his usual hermit-like attitude of "Get the hell out or else be pummeled with insults." He didn't care what they thought about him, not anymore, but the simple fact that he would ruin someone else's day with his presence was something he avoided. He was only here for a trivial thing to buy, though, so he would be going in and out with as little contact as possible. |

Elle was sitting at a table in the food court of the mall, sipping her Jamba Juice and laughing with her perfect-looking friends at something that some kid did last night at a party. Elle interrupted their conversation. "Hey, do you guys wanna buy somehting or what? All this money is burning a hole in my pocket!" Elle had recently turned fifteen, and had received over $500 in gifts. So she had decided to hit the mall with her friends. But so far, all they wanted to do was sit around and scope out potential dates. Just then, Elle's friend Emma pointed out a guy to her. "He's cute. You should go for him!" Emma pointed to a skinny boy with lonng black hair. Elle thought for a second, then responded. "He is kinda cute...." |

((Currently looking for a date)) Ben glanced left and right across the street, waiting for the light to turn red before walking across. It has been quite a day at the office of Cross & Credable Lawfirm/Detective Agency. He and Athena had just finished up with a case, and had no other work left for the night. He invited her for a drink at the bar, but she said she had to meet up with her godfather, Mr. Van Detta. This left Ben by himself for the night. Not that he didn't like it, he just enjoys the night out better with some company. "Maybe I can strike up a conversation with someone at the bar," he thought to himself. He rummaged through his red hair, adjusting the goggle on his head. He smiled. For some reason, he felt tonight was going to be different. |

Alex blushed and his cheeks flushed a pure red. "Y-Ye- No, I'm f-fine, E-Elle." His stutter gave him away, but it was worth a shot. The adrenaline going through him was a good kind, and he figured if she thought he was good enough for her, he might as well relax and try not to embarass himself with his inexperience. "That sounds good," he said, amazed that he finally stopped the stuttering. |

And look at you; it's only been ten minutes and you're comfortable around me!" Elle smiled. This guy was so cute when he blushed. He's probably be even cuter when he smiled... "Hey! Let's go into one of those photo booths! Sounds like fun, huh?" She dragged him into one of the photo booths placed throughout the mall. "Smile!" she said as the camera flashed again and again. Elle grabbed the photos. Alex looked adorable! "You're so cute!" she squealed. |

A year ago, Alex might have felt a singe from contact, but he felt strangely warmed by her. Another flush of his cheeks and a wider smile made him feel completely alien from his usual self. "Well, you're really pretty too, Elle. And by the way you're treating me, you're definetely the nicest girl I've met." Now Alex just felt weirdly happy. Which was very, very strange. |

And stunned he was. He actually fainted and fell to the ground hard. His mind hazily recollected the memories of those past few minutes. 1. A very pretty girl thought he was good looking and asked him out. 2. She REALLY liked him, apparently from physical evidence. 3. She ran away randomly. He got up slowly, his heart in a hypertensive state, beating like the Tom Sawyer drum solo. |

Elle was back at her house in a few minutes. "Okay....What do I hafta do?" She jumped in the shower, remembering to use her best-smelling shampoo and conditioner. She used her blow-dryer to fluff up her hair, then straightened it with a flat-iron. She checked the clock. It was 5:45. "Now I gotta find what to wear!" She finally settled on a pair of dark wash Hollister skinny jeans, American Eagle aqua blue satin ballet flats, and a blue Hollister tank top. She put on silver hoop earrings, and a silver hoop necklace. She glanced at the clock again. "6:10 already?" She took out her makeup kit, put on light brown eyeshadow, brown eyeliner, and brown mascara. She dusted her cheeks with bronzer, and found her favorite tube of lip gloss. She put everything away, the sat on the couch, staring at the clock and waiting for Alex to show up. |

Alex shakily started the car, wearing basically the same thing with a black unbuttoned shirt over the gray long-sleeved one. He pulled his car into the driveway and rang the doorbell with a shaking hand. He said a silent prayer under his breath. |
