(Yeah, I decided to put Mia first~ X3)
Today was a big day for Gerk. A bigger big day than all the other big big bigger big day's. Why? He was getting married, and he was almost giddy with excitement. But first of all, he needed to get ready. He got washed, put on his best suit, trousers and hat, and began to read the paper to fill out some time before he had to leave. He wondered how Mia was coping with the mix of excitement and stress; was she more or less nervous? All he knew was, when she proposed to him, he said yes. So she must have everything sorted out.

The time was ticking closer, and he went to the door to try and open it. It was locked... and he didn't know where the key was. He rushed about the house trying to look for it; searching in every nook and cranny and finding nothing. There was nothing for it now, he needed to phone Mia up and inform her of the situation in-case she thought he was avoiding her on purpose...

(Yeah, things aren't quite going to plan. XD But don't worry, the marriage should go smoothly when they get to it!)

It was funny really. From the moment Mia had woken up that morning, she had been unable to stop smiling and she was pretty sure that she knew why. Today was her wedding day and she honestly couldn't have been any happier. As Mia walked over to her dresser to retrieve the hair brush she left there, she glanced at the picture of herself and her fiance, Gerkuman, and blushed joyfully. This was going to be an incredible day. Of this she had no doubt.

A moment later, the phone began to ring. Walking quickly over to it, Mia picked it up and said, "Hello?" Hearing her fiance's familiar voice on the phone, Mia's smile broadened. Enthusiastically she responded, "Gerk! It's wonderful to hear from you!" Teasingly Mia added, "I'm a bit surprised that you're calling me though. We'll see each other soon enough." As she quieted down to listen, a frown crossed her face for the first time that day. "Are you okay? Do you need help?" Falling silent again to listen, she nodded as he answered her. "Okay then. I'll meet you there. Take care of yourself and thank you for telling me. I'll keep my cell phone on me just in case you need me. See you soon."

Despite still being worried about Gerk, Mia quickly finished getting ready to go. There was still plenty to be done that day to keep things on track. Hopefully, Gerk would be able to join her soon.

Caelestis groaned as she heard her cell phone (which ended up being her makeshift alarm clock) ring it's very annoying beeping. She groaned as she turned it off, looking up at her computer at an unfinished document. She fell asleep in front of the computer while writing another story—again. Cae instantly jerked awake, however, when she realized what day it was.

"ACK! What time is it!?" she yelped as she looked at her phone. It was still early; the wedding wouldn't start till later. Caelestis instantly jumped into the shower and decided to at least attempt to get ready. She was never much for fancy preparation; she decided she'd finish her hair and makeup later. She scanned her closet for the special dress she was going to wear. However, wanting to make sure the bride-to-be wasn't getting "cold feet" or stressed, Cae decided to give Mia a call first before dressing to the point that she wouldn't be able to go outside with ten layers of coats and plastic. Even though she was younger than Mia and wasn't thinking of getting married yet, she still wanted this day to be the best as possible for one of the first people who encouraged her when not many were reading her stories. It was thanks to Mia that Cae's confidence wasn't dipped down to oblivion.

Caelestis flipped her cell phone and called her friend.
"Hey Mia! It's Cae! How's the big bride-to-be getting along?" Cae giggled. "I just wanted to know if you need anything last minute; I can drive now, remember!"

((hope I wasn't intruding on anything...
Oh, and BTW, just for this character, I'm rping as a kind of "struggling author" who's still got a decent day job.))

"Cae! It's great to hear from you," Mia said, holding her cell phone in one hand while she rummaged through her purse for her car key with the other. "I'm doing well. Excited and a bit nervous, but I can't wait for the wedding." Finally finding her key amongst the mess that was her purse, she smiled triumphantly. Mia was fully aware that one of these days she would have to clean the stupid thing out, but that was a project for another day. "I think pretty much everything is set. The caterer has been talked to and the decorations should all be set up. The only real problem I can think about is that I'm a bit worried about Gerk. He... was having some trouble getting out of the house apparently, but he said he was okay and that he'd definitely be there. I'm probably worrying for nothing."

Mia hesitated for a second as she walked out to the car. Maybe... but he had told her that he was fine. Shaking her head, Mia finally responded. "No. I think I'm okay. Just make sure that you make it to the wedding on time. I can't wait to see you."

Caelestis held her cell phone as she haphazardly tried to save her final work and closed down Microsoft Word. She frowned as she heard the slight catch in Mia's voice.

"Are you sure? You sound hesitant," Caelestis asked, a little worriedly. She wanted to make sure the day was absolutely perfect for her friend—of course, achieving that might be just a little impossible, but Cae was a writer; she was never satisfied until everything was perfect.

Cae thought for a moment.

"Do you want me to help with your dress or anything?" Caelestis asked.

Mia smiled at her friend's kind offer and took a moment to consider it. Not wanting to walk through the streets in her wedding dress and, on a more superstitious and silly level, not wanting Gerk to see her in it before the wedding, she had decided to wait to get dressed until she was actually at the chapel. Still, it was rather difficult to get it on by herself, so she could certainly use the help, and Cae's offer was so sweet that she had trouble turning her young friend away. "Actually if you don't mind, I'd love some help getting ready for the wedding," she confessed as she got into the car and turned it on quickly. "I'm on my way over to the church now. Do you think that you could meet me there?"

Cae grinned. She knew she'd enjoy this.
"Of course! I'll bring my dress, and I guess some make-up, as well. Maybe some others will meet us there, too," Caelestis chatted as she started to pack her outfit as nicely as possible, so it wouldn't wrinkle. She looked through her pile of papers to find the church address. She cleaned her desk as often as possible, but it never stayed that way for long. Cae sighed in relief as she found the piece of paper with the church address. As she rummaged around the house, she spoke into her cell phone again. "Hey, I gotta make sure I have everything all set so I can leave. I'll meet you at the church then, okay? See ya soon!"

As Mia's car pulled up in front of the church, she glanced at the clock on the car's dashboard and was relieved to see that she still had time before the wedding to make sure that everything was ordered correctly. Getting out of the car, she quickly reached into the back seat and pulled out her dress and make-up case to take them inside. After dropping her stuff off in the bride's dressing room, she hurried around the chapel, quickly trying to double check that everything was as it should be before the guests arrived. While she did this, Mia tried to keep a careful eye out for Caelestis whom she expected to arrive soon to help. As the time passed though, she became a bit worried by the fact that no one had shown up yet. To her knowledge, even her fiance was still absent. Biting her lip lightly, Mia gazed out the window at the street for a moment before refocusing her attention on the tasks before her.

Caelestis threw everything in her new car and drove to the church. She thought she'd gotten lost at one point, but was glad to have found the church.

The church was beautiful. It was a pearly-white color with the steeple showing off a simple, golden cross. The doors contained stained glass that sparkled in the sunlight. As she parked, she saw one other car in the parking lot.

I think that's Mia's car... Cae thought. If that's so... where's the groom? As Caelestis took her stuff out of the car, she got her cell phone out and dialed Gerk's number, hoping he would be on his way. She walked with her dress and make-up kit in hand towards the church, waiting through the dial tone for Gerk to pick up...

Gerk picked up the phone and clipped it to his ear, before getting back to kicking the door. He'd tried calling other people, but most of them didn't have their phones on and the rest of them didn't answer the phone. They were probably asleep, or busy, or both. The caller was someone that wasn't on his contact list, but it must be one of Mia's friends. He hoped they could help him.

"Heya, who is this" he said as calmly as he could manage. The thuds of the kicking reverbarating into the mouthpiece. "Don't worry, I'm just trying unsuccessfully to kick down the flipping door." he continued.

Caelestis immediately felt relieved that Gerk picked up the phone. Mia had given her the number and told her to call him if she felt the need. Cae didn't want to bother him unless she had to, since, afterall, she was a younger kid.

However, her relief was short-lived.

"You're doing what?" she asked, suddenly aware of the loud thumps on the other line, then stopped herself. Probably should introduce herself first, then ask questions. "Sorry, my name is Caelestis. I'm a friend of Mia's. We're both at the church and I noticed that you weren't there. Is... there a problem, sir?" Caelestis continued to walk towards the church.

Having spotted Caelestis's car through a nearby window, Mia smiled and rushed outside, feeing a wave of relief at knowing that her friend had arrived. Although she had kept a good handle on her nerves throughout the weeks of wedding planning and even earlier that day, she could feel her stomach knotting more with every passing second. The silence of the church certainly wasn't helping. She had wanted this day to be perfect, but so far nothing seemed to be going right. Shaking her head, she tried to push these thoughts from her mind.

"Cae!" she called happily as she approached the car. Noticing that Caelestis was on the phone, Mia quieted down so as not to disturb her friend's call. Although curious about it, she stopped beside her friend and waited patiently Cae to finish.

Glancing around the streets, BM strolled along a city block. He was clad in a black vest and red shirt, ready for a special occasion. Finally, he spotted the church he was looking for and walked inside. He bit his lip and surveyed the area. It was a small gathering so far, he assumed he was early. Sheepishly, he waved to the few people there and fake-smiled.
"H-Hi..." he said in a squeaky voice, "What's up?"

Sho walked, or rather bounced, over to the church. "Hi all!" she said cheerfully. Sho didn't really know anyone here; only her granddaughter was present. And she was pretty unfamiliar with Cae in the first place. But GO was ALWAYS at weddings, and he usually made an....unconventional....entrance, so she needed to be there, if only to restrain him. And she loved weddings. She'd been to every one she could. Hopefully nothing happens here....Hmm. No wedding crashers or women in love with the groom. Except for Mia.... Sho walked over to the bride. "Hi...." she said shyly. "I'm Sho....Umm...." she blushed, suddenly nervous.

Gerk stopped kicking the door and began to rub his swollen feet; this tactic wasn't getting him anywhere.
"I've locked myself in my house" he replied sadly. "I really need someone to come and get me out of here. Preferrably a locksmith" He glanced in the direction of the door, and checked it for damage. It was hardly broken at all. "Still, at least I know my door is pretty sturdy"

Ah...another day for another wedding. Can this get any better?

Grinning to herself, Lana adjusted parts of her attire neatly for the extravagant occasion;
it was her good friend's special day and she wasn't going to miss it. Lana had promised Mia and Gerk she'd be there and she always kept her promises. Mostly.
Anyways, as she finished changing a few bits of her dress here and there, Lana began to wonder what time the wedding was going to start.
"So I'm getting ready for my friends' wedding and I don't know what time it starts. Stupid Lana..." she scolded herself as she quickly added make up to her face. Beginning to imagine the whole dramatic scene for when she was late, Lana quickly snatched her cellphone up in haste and dialed the groom - Gerk's number.

"Come on...pick up..." Lana muttered under her breath as the continous rings kept going.
"I can't be late for this...I pro-"
Finally! He picked up! Oh w-wait no, that's his message tone...he's busy...
Lana slumped and threw her cellphone on the bed. She thought to herself, thinking of all the possibilities she could reach Gerk. Then it came to her.

Perhaps I'm not late...maybe I'll catch him at his house!

Picking the ends of her dress up, Lana immediately ran out of her house as the idea ran through her head and scurried over to Gerk's house in no time at all. She knocked on his door firmly and yelled, hoping he would soon open the door and tell Lana she wasn't late.

That is, if he even WAS there.

"Gerk! Are you in there?!" Lana preceded to bang on his door, even more than gently, becoming impatient by the second.

Gerk heard the hammering on the door, but his feet had really begun to hurt now, so he slowly winced his way towards the door.
"Wait a sec Cel, someones at the door." he said to the caller "Gimme a second". He took the phone out from his ear.
"I'M HERE! I'VE LOCKED MYSELF IN THE HOUSE! DON'T TRY TO KICK THE DOOR DOWN, IT WON'T WORK! I KNOW, I'VE TRIED." he paused to get his breath back. "GET SOME HELP PLEASE!" he then stuck the phone back in his ear again. "Yeah, you probably heard all of that. Listen, can you give Mia a reassuring hug for me, I think she needs it at the moment."

Hmmm, I didn't expect this so quickly...

Bruce looked at the skies as he looked at the invitation again. It was so long since he attended a wedding, let alone someone he knew very well. With that, he sighed as he slowly got up. The sun was almost in full bloom as he chugged down the usual coffee. Although the sun was shining brightly down, it wasn't too hot or humid. It was almost as if the world wanted this day to be perfect. And in being perfect, Bruce knew that it'll be a hassle as something always went wrong in these sort of days.

This is going to be a long day...

With that, he filled the cup with water and let it set in the sink. Heading back to the bedroom, he rummaged round for his suit. It was formal but still stylish to get away with almost anything. Another search yielded another light blue business shirt and as well as a red tie. The hands felt surprisingly quick as he made the final finishes on his tie. Looking himself in the mirror, he headed to the bathroom to shave the stubbles out of his face.

A few minutes later, Bruce jumped into the car. Before he did, he took a quick look on the address on the invitation. Looking up the street name, he saw that it wasn't convenient given the lack of parking round the area. But he had to try. Starting up the motor, he eased out of the driveway and sped off to the church.

(BTW, I didn't know you had this going on so that's probably why you had so many posts, Mia!?)

Hearing the soft voice coming from behind her, Mia turned away from Cae for a moment to see who had spoken. Seeing a rather nervous looking woman standing in front of her, Mia smiled comfortingly at her and tried to place the newcomer. A vague recollection came back to her and Mia's smile broadened. "Hello, Sho. Thank you for joining us today. It makes this day all the more special."

Seeing BM approach her and Sho, Mia smiled at him as well and was quick to greet him. "Hello there. Welcome!" Looking back and forth between the pair, Mia added, "It's wonderful that you were both able to come. Thank you. Hopefully, we'll be able to start the ceremony soon." At this Mia frowned for a split second. They certainly weren't anywhere near ready to begin yet and it worried her, but she bit back this negativity and hid it beneath a bright smile. Panicking wouldn't help. She would just have to do her best to hold things together for the time being and hope that things would improve.

"Things will work out," she told herself silently. "By the end of today, Gerk and I will be married. That is all that matters." Glancing wistfully into the distance, Mia sighed softly. She missed him already and she couldn't wait to see him again. "Please get here soon, dear."

Unfortunately for Bruce, the best parking spot was practically 30 minutes away from the church. But he managed to appear near the church given the stares of all the people he had to pass in order to get there. As he approached the said church, he saw that Mia had just ushered Sho and as well as Cae into the church. Knowing that Lana was probably somewhere nearby hassling Gerkuman, Bruce sighed as he proceeded to find them both.

"You're WHAT!?" Caelestis asked, rather loudly. Locked in his house...? Oh no...
Cae saw Mia come towards her; she bit her lip and hoped she couldn't hear Gerk's voice over the phone. Mia is going to FREAK if she finds out! I guess that's why he didn't tell her... She suddenly heard a new voice, then Gerk yelling back. Cae sighed in relief.

"Yeah, I got that. If you need anymore help, just call my cell phone; you can check your history," Cae said, suddenly relieved that someone came just in time She sounded familiar; who would she know who'd know Gerk well enough to come to his house? Did her sister mention something about Gerk?

As new people began to come through, Caelestis realized she'd have to hang up. "Hey, I'll make sure Mia is all right for you, okay? Remember, call me if there's an issue or anyone else you trust, got it?" Caelestis promptly hung up.

"Hey Mia! Sorry about that," Caelestis mumbled an apology. She quickly looked around the people, smiling sheepishly. "Hey guests! I'm Caelestis, if you can't pronounce that..." Cae thought for a moment, "Ah heck, call me whatever you want!" Caelestis faced Mia. "Shall we proceed? Your call," Cae asked softly, smiling sweetly.

Having no luck searching the church, Bruce sighed as he sat on the bench near the entrance. It was almost time for the wedding to start and yet, the main star hadn't appeared yet. This was getting rather worrying for him as he sort of knew something will go wrong when you don't want it to go wrong. Looking at his watch, he sighed again only see a blur of a dress running by him. Looking up, he saw that she was holding her phone.

Must be a phone call. I'd better not interrupt as it's not my bus...

"YOU'RE WHAT?" Bruce nearly jumped behind the bench from the sheer ferocity the voice carried.

Okay...a wedding with no groom and a girl that has the voice of rock band with the amp turned to 11...what's next? A killer whale for a groom?

With that, he saw he finish the conversation before the girl sheepishly looked round.

"Hey guests! I'm Caelestis, if you can't pronounce that...Ah heck, call me whatever you want!" With that, she faced Mia about something. But I'm guessing that something is Gerkuman as he wasn't here. As if be late for a wedding for Christ's sake...

Sighing again and shaking his head, he walked up to Cae and as well as Mia.
"Hey there Cae and Mia. Where's Gerkuman's house? I'll go up there and pick him up if you need it?"

"Bruce! It's so good to see you!" Mia cried happily, giving him a quick hug. "Would you really? Gerk mentioned that he was going to be late in getting here, but this seems extreme and I'm worried about him. I'd really appreciate it if you'd be willing to go check on him." Opening up her purse, she quickly tried to sort through it and finally managed to recover a pen and a small piece of paper that she had tucked away in there at a previous time. Resting the paper against the palm of her hand, she scribbled down the directions to Gerk's home and handed the paper to Bruce. "Thank you so much for this, Bruce."

Glancing around her at the slowly growing crowd of guests, Mia chewed on her lip as the saying "We have so much to do and and so little time to do it in" popped into her mind. Glancing over at Cae, she smiled at her friend. "Why don't we try to start moving people inside? A little organization would definitely go a long way here."

Smiling, he took the piece of paper from Mia. "Okay, I'll look for him. He's probably so nervous now that he's probably stuck." With that, he slowly walked over the car. But something about Mia's face told him otherwise. He suspected Gerkuman wasn't the type of guy that runs late for anything, let alone his own God damn wedding.

After a 30 walk back to the car, he got out the street directory and began to map out the way there.

Hmmm, seems straight forward enough. With that, he placed the binder along the map page as not to forget it. Starting up the engine, he glanced before pulling out the parking spot. The sidestreets were rather calm today so it wasn't any trouble before he hit the freeway that'll take him to Gerk's house. With that, he put the foot down a little heavier. The speedo began to climb up the legal limit of the freeway. He kept his focus on the road ahead only to notice the diversions up ahead.

Damn, looks like a big accident so a detour... With that, he followed the detour till he got to the next gas station.
Double damn, I need to fill up which is rather bad. Hope Gerkuman is fine wherever he is...

Overhearing Mia talking to Cae, Brett began to walk into the church. "I'll uhh... just go into the church now..." he muttered, pointing to the church. Once inside, he began looking around, for a seat. "Wow..." he said, mouth agape as he took in the brilliant architecture. "This is really amazing." The stained glass windows, the brilliant white floors, the well decorated... everything. 'When I get married, I'm going to book it here.' he thought, still taking in the view. '...If I can get it.' Realizing what he came in to do, he quickly found a seat and sat, waiting for everyone else to come in.

While all this was going on, Gerk was sitting on the floor next to the door and trying to engage in conversation with Lana. At least, he was trying to; his house was very well sound-proofed from outside sounds and he couldn't hear any responses. He was pretty sure she could hear him though.
"So yeah!" he half-shouted "This isn't turning out the way I hoped it would! I never thought that the most important day of your life would be that difficult for the bride or groom, it's usually all the people who are running it that generally scurry around." He took a sip from his juice box. "Would you like a juice box? He asked. He heard a muffled affirmation, so he opened up the tiny window at the top of the door and passed a carton of orange juice through it. "There you go!" he said.

Mia saw as she handed one of the guests an address to Gerk's home. Good, the more people to help him, the better...

More people were starting to pile in the church; some she recognized and others she didn't know so well. It was very exciting to be part of a wedding; all the glamour, all the people, the light shining ever so elegantly through the stained glass, the utter sweet love that passed through between husband and wife-to-be...

Egh, Cae cursed her romantic mindset. She was always such a sappy romantic; her stories simply seemed with such romanticism. Apparently she could make people cry sometimes. But that didn't matter; what mattered was now, and right now, there were guests to file in and a groom to rescue.

"Sure, I'll help out!" Caelestis nodded, walking outside the church doors. Anyone she saw outside, she'd carefully lead in. "Just tell me when you need some help, alright?" Cae called to Mia.

((just to let you know, it'll be difficult at the moment for me to get online, so I apologize if I don't post for a while. I'll try to get one as much as I can. I may give Mia permission to "control" my character; but let's wait to see if that's necessary))

Cock. That last pit stop for petrol was a bit longer than necessary. Starting up the motor again, he proceeded down the road. It wasn't particularly long but with the constant interference with the lights meant that it took nearly fifteen more minutes than necessary. Eventually, he managed to find Gerkuman's house which was interesting for two reasons.

1) A woman was standing outside and
2) She was apparently talking and hammering on the door there.

Sighing again, Bruce got out of the car and walked over to the woman. "Hi, Mia sent me to see if Gerkuman was okay. Is he okay?" The woman quickly explained the situation quickly to Bruce who looked incrediously at her.

"Serious? He's locked out of his own house?" With that, he looked at the lock. The problem was that it was a rather sturdy deadlock which meant that the only way to open it was to either break the door down or get the locksmith.

"Gerkuman, this is Bruce here. I'll try to break down the door." He braced himself only for the woman to stop him. "Huh? He's already tried and that didn't work?" This gets better and better huh? With that, he speed dialed a number he was already too familiar with. "This is Bruce here. I need a way to open a deadlock with a 3" steel bolt in it?"

((Okay, Gerk. Just to get the story along, I'll post what happens next. Happy? :D))

Bruce looked at the lock as the guy on the other end talked him through it. "Okay. Just hold on a minute." Rushing to the car, he quickly headed for the back where the usual spare wheel and toolkit sat. Rummaging round the tools, he managed to find the bar he was looking for. Heading back to the door, he motioned Lana to stand aside. "Gerkuman. Just stand back a bit will you?" With that, he stabbed at the door where the lock was. The wood gave way with a crunch. Manoeuvring the bar was slightly harder than he though but after a few tries, the door came flying open, banging Bruce on the nose.

"Oh.....F*@#&$&#%^@#%&^@*#$^!@%$%^^%#!*^!#%" Luckily, blood didn't come spurting out as he thought but the nose was rather sore. Looking at the door, he saw Gerkuman and Lana embracing. Not wanting to interrupt, he looked at his watch and nearly double-taked at the time. As he turned and sprinted for the car, he looked back and called at the two. "Hey, what are you standing there for? Get in."

Mia frowned nervously as she paced around the inside of the church, checking her watch again even though she had checked it only a moment before and looking out the window anxiously. Something was wrong. Something had to be very wrong. Her mind was such a tangle of worries that she could barely hear Cae's reassurances that things were fine. Mia knew well that Gerk wouldn't be this late to their wedding if he could have helped it. Tears collected in her eyes as she stared desperately out the window searching for some sign of Gerk's or Bruce's car, but she blinked them back. This wasn't the time to succumb to panic.

Pulling out her cell phone, Mia tried calling Gerk, but she got a busy signal yet again. In the time that she had been trying to call him, Mia had been completely unable to reach her fiancé. The phone either gave her a busy signal or it rang through to his answering machine. Closing her eyes momentarily as she pushed the end button, Mia took a deep breath to try and calm herself. Then she dialed Bruce's number, but there was no answer there either. As she slipped the phone back into her pocket, Mia's frown deepened and she decided quickly that she wasn't accomplishing anything standing here and worrying like this. She had to see what was happening herself.

"I'll be back, Cae," she told her friend. "Gerk's house isn't too far from here and I drive quickly. Do me a favor and just keep the guests entertained for a bit. I promise that I won't be long."

Ignoring her friend's protests, Mia began to walk to her car.

Gerk quickly finished the hug, and did a running jump into the back of the carl; just missing hitting his head on the door. Lana jumped into the passenger side, Bruce into the front, and they sped off towards the church at breakneck speeds, narrowly missing cars as they went. Gerk was still extremely worried about Mia. How was she coping there by herself? He got out his phone, and realised he'd accidently locked it out, no wonder he wasn't getting any calls.

After about ten minutes of Driving, they were half way from the church, but Gerk had the gut feeling that things weren't going quite to plan. He got Lana's attention and they began looking out the window at all the cars rushing past; red, green, purple, Mia.... THERE!
"Bruce!" Gerk shouted. "She's going to my house! We need to get her attention" Bruce nodded, and turned off at a very convenient junction, and got back on the road in the opposite direction. Hopefully they'd be able to get close enough to her car for her to see them, and they could follow each other back to the Church.

'Oh cock.' Bruce quickly saw Gerkuman pointing at something. "Bruce, she's going to my house! We need to get her attention." 'Oh great.' With that, Bruce nodded and turned off at the next junction before speeding the hell down the road. As they sped down the road, the wailing of sirens was the last thing that Bruce and everyone in the car wanted to hear. Slowing the car to a stop, Bruce wound down the window and placed his hands on the wheel just as the officer came round to the driver's side. 'This is going to be a long day.' The officer looked at Bruce before nodded at him. At first, Bruce looked quizzically at the officer only to realise who it was.

"Oh, it's you huh?" With that, he got out and gave the officer a hug.

"Fancy seeing you here Bruce. Wanna tell me why you're going at twenty miles over the limit here?"

"Well, my friends in the back here are going to a wedding and we sort of mistimed it. The bride went to the groom's house whilst we're going to the church. So yeah, you can figure out the rest from there." The officer nodded before smiling.

"So we're on a bride chase huh?"

"Yeah, so mind if we go and get her. And you can still get me later anyway." The officer just laughed out loud before patting Bruce on the back.

"You still haven't changed, have you after all that time in..."

"Yeah, we should get going anyway." The officer nodded and went back to the car. Bruce sighed as he got back into the car. As he did, he noticed the weird stares that Gerkuman Lana were giving him. "Look, I'll explain later. Right now, we need to get to Gerk's place ASAP." With that, he got the car into gear and floored it. All Bruce hoped was that the delay didn't screw anything up...

Should I? Or... No, I can't. Well, why not? Ok, ok, calm down. Think. If I do, then... Urgh. His idling car rumbled ominously as Chase sat behind the wheel, pondering. Ok, if I do, what will happen? Police, of course, but they're no problem. Public damage? Who cares. Plus, it'll be fun! Alright, he concluded finally, pounding the gas, LET'S DO IT! He drove off the cliff ramp he'd set up, narrowly dodging a passing helicopter and landing on a building. He did a spin as he jumped off that into a parking garage and flipped out the opening, screaming with glee.

When the car hit the pavement, he laughed maniacally and exited, then picked up the trigger and ran away. He activated it, and the car exploded. Chase felt satisfied and wondered what to do next. He had heard of a wedding going on, but he needed a ride. He found a parked motorcycle, unchained. He laughed silently to himself. MotorcycleChaseCityMan? The thought made him laugh as he hotwired the bike. To the church!

Mia was only a few blocks from Gerk's home when she glanced in her rearview mirror and her eyes opened wide in surprise at what she saw. The sight that greeted her was one that she hadn't expected to see after the long delay and loss of communication, but there was no doubt in her mind that the car following her was Bruce's. In the mirror, she could see that there were two people in the car. A smile played across her lips and she released the breath that she hadn't realized that she'd been holding. After lifting one hand to let Bruce and Gerk know that she had seen them, Mia flipped on her blinker and made a U-Turn at the next intersection, leading the way back to the church.

Bruce sighed a sigh of relief as Mia indicated that she did notice us. The only thing Bruce had to worry now was the actual wedding itself. Gerk and as well as Lana were chatting away rather happily which Bruce ignored the conversation after all, it was rude to butt in a conversation that he had absolutely no idea...

'I just hope the ceremony isn't going to be something this crazy...'

Chase did a wheelie down the street, pushing 120 mph, and laughed the whole way. He was making great time- if only he knew where to go and what time to be there. Any of these cars could be headed there; he needed to find someone he knew. He checked the windows and drivers, but couldn't find anyone he knew. Why didn't cars have signs that said where they were going?

But just then, a cab rolled by, with the church's name. Chase gasped and did a huge powerslide, which cause him to flip over a few times, and he slid on the ground, then revved his engine, smoking the tires and causing a cloud, which he sped out of in hot pursuit of the cab.
