Anybody who wants to join can, but here's about where we left off. Sandra Castro, a visually impaired private investigator, got some prank mail delivered to her. The twist: They were body parts! Right now, two packages were delivered, a foot and a head, and somebody was getting an autopsy on the head to see who was killed. Right now, they think Phoenix Wright was the one who was murdered, and Sandra seems to have a suspicion about who did it. Am I missing anything?

I think you got the package deal wrong. Let me go check.

edit: here's the thread. I'll look more throughly later.

Nope, I got it right. There was a delivery man who got an arm, but they didn't deliver it yet.

((Right)).

As Mira waited for the taxi, the other delivery guy came. "Package delivery for I.C-"

"Give it a rest." Mira said, cutting the delivery guy off. At the same time, Mira pointed him over to Sandra, so she can verify that it's from the same person. The delivery guy came in and gave the package to Sandra. "So anything about the sender?" Mira asked the delivery guy.

"Well he came into the shipping center with a purple suit. I think he's sick. His skin was white and such." He said, making his way out.

"Purple suit and white face..." BM mumbled, pondering the situation. He almost brought up the Joker theory again, but decided to act as if that was a joke. "Maybe we should ask around. Or, right here. Any bells rung, you two?" He turned to Sandra and Mira and began staring them down. He put on a deadpan expression and delivered, "I think it'd be in our best interests to tell us what you know."

"We got a new package. I wonder if there are any clues in there," Sandra said, opening the box. She didn't know which body part was in there since she couldn't make out any shapes, but she wanted to do anything to stall until she knew for sure the victim was Phoenix Wright. She thought, Call me when you find out anything. My number is 675-8890. Sandra was careful to think that when Mira was in the room, but made sure she didn't say it.

It was the arm Mira talked about earlier. 675-8890, roger that. Mira responded, oblivious to the fact he didn't actually move his mouth. Then again, no one else could point it out due to his mask. "So, find anything unusual? Important?" Mira asked, still waiting for news about the taxi.

She knew it. He could read her thoughts. Sandra didn't point that out, though. She knew better than that. "Um...There's another sheet of paper in here," Sandra replied, giving it to Mira so he could read it.

"Hm?" Mira took the piece of paper and read it. The cabby didn't call him yet, so he didn't need to rush. The cabby was probably stuck in traffic. "So what about the body part?" Mira asked, as he read.

"Um..." Sandra didn't want them to know she was visually impaired, so she quickly felt along the body part. "It's an arm," Sandra said. "Could you read what's on the paper aloud so all of us could hear?"

"Alright then. It says 'why so serious?'" Mira said, reading the piece of paper. "Well we do seem to be serious. How did this guy get the timing correctly?" Mira said, seemingly oblivious to Sandra's evaluation.

"Oh. I see..." Sandra said, then cleared her head of any thoughts. "I'm responsible for this mess. I will go rectify the situation. You guys stay here and get the rest of the packages. If you solve the case, you'll know where to find me." Sandra attached something to her stomach and walked out the door, hoping she was wrong about who did it.

"What do you intend to do?" Mira asked, before she left the room. But before she answered, his cell phone rang. "Hello? You're here? Great, I'll be down in a moment." Mira hung up and put his cell phone away. "Redirect any other packages to the autopsy center." Mira said, stacking all of the packages in the room, picking up the stack, and left the room, making his way toward the outside. "If you need to take a taxi somewhere, you might as well come with me. The taxi is outside right now." Mira said, walking as he informed Sandra of the situation.

"No, thank you. I'll walk," Sandra said. She really didn't want anyone to get involved from this point on. It was something she felt like she had to do alone, and where she was going wasn't very far. Not even a mile away. Sandra walked outside to the hustling and bustling city, a place which reeked horribly from all the pollution. It probably didn't smell bad to the average person, but, with her heightened sense of smell, it reeked. There was noise all around her a blurry faces walked by. She would have been scared out of her mind if she wasn't so used to walking around outside.

When Mira got to the street, he walked over to the taxi. He opened the door, put the packages in, and put himself in. He closed the door and told the cabby to take him to the autopsy center. At least, he was curious, but a $5 tip shut him up.

Once he got there, he paid the fare and took the packages to the examination room. He dropped them off and instructed the doctors to contact him if they found anything important.

Afterwards, he left the building and walked to his work. On the way, he was thinking about the vague analysis Sandra made about the arm. Then he pondered the vague description of the cut when she first examined the head. Vision problems? Probably. Speaking of which, the video tapes should help us solve this case. Mira went into the back and talked to the security guy for a bit.

Sandra walked into a building. "Hi. How may I help you?" the female receptionist asked. "Let me see Robert Castro. It's VERY important," Sandra replied.
"And your name?" asked the receptionist. "Sandra Castro," Sandra replied with urgency. "Oh, he's been expecting you. Please go into his office."Sandra walked in to the overly decorated office and a man in a purple suit was there to greet her. "Hello, Sandra," Robert welcomed.
"Save your breath, Rob. You have some explaining to do."

After some conversation with the security officer, Mira reviewed the security tape. Hmmmmmmm..... Purple suit, white skin.... Is that make-up? Wait.... The Joker? No, his hair is too messy.... Mira thought about that man and who else it could be. Mira took out his cell phone and called the number Sandra instructed him to before they left.

"We both know what happened, Robert," Sandra said. "You killed Mr. Wright and Sheila Delevara. Mr. Wright because he was going to find out you were the one responsible for her death, and Sheila because she was going to divorce you and you would have to give her half of everything you owned. So, you shot her and pinned it on somebody else, but Mr. Wright was going to figure that out. So, you poisoned him. It didn't take much to do it, since you're an alchemist and you could make your own. Then, you waited for him to die. That's when you chopped him up and sent all the packages to me, knowing that even if I solved the case, I would never arrest you."
"So you figured it out, huh? But there is one thing you forgot. You have no evidence." Just then Sandra's cell phone rang. "I have to take this," she said. "Hello? Mira? What did you find?" ((Sorry. REALLY long post.))

((It's ok, I read it all)).

"Security footage indicates someone was at least dressed like the Joker when the packages were dropped off at the shipping center. Oh, and did you keep the stuff we found for our little autopsy?" Mira asked. "If so, is it still at your house? The doctors may need it so they can refer to things related to victim's death."

"Yes, it's all there," Sandra replied. She felt something metal touch her, and automatically assumed it was a gun. "Call me when anything else happens. Right now is a bad time." Sandra hung up. "So, where were we?"
"I was just about to kill you!" Robert yelled, holding the gun to her back. "Don't move."
"You don't own a gun, so you took it from me while I was on the phone, right?" Sandra asked.
"Yeah. It'll look like you committed suicide," Robert said coldly.
"First of all, if you shoot me from behind, it'll be pretty obvious I was murdered. Secondly, go ahead and shoot." She turned around. "It's not loaded." Robert pulled the trigger, but nothing happened. "Oh," he said.
"Bring it!" She kicked the gun out of his hand.

My senses are tingling. Mira opened an application on his phone and used it to track Sandra's location. "kthnkbai" Mira said, as he ran out of the shipping center, ran to Sandra's location, and looked around for a hidden way in. It looks like he''ll have to burst in from the front. Not yet. Mira stood outside the door and listened to what was going on.

"You know you can't beat me in a fight," Robert said.
"I don't have to," Sandra replied. "You already made a crucial mistake." Robert pulled out a knife, but Sandra grabbed the gun and pointed it at him. "That gun's not loaded." Robert had a sinister smile across his face as he pointed the knife at her. "I'll have fun torturing you until you die." Sandra smiled back. This confused him.
She set the gun right. "You idiot. This gun needs to be set. It makes a clicking sound when you set it right, see?" The gun clicked. "Since there was no click, I knew you didn't do it right."
Robert didn't believe her, so he charged at her. Sandra shot him in the arm, and he dropped the knife.
"Robert Castro, you are under arrest for the murder of Phoenix Wright and will soon be under arrest for the murder of Sheila Delevara. I would read you your rights, but I can't read. You know them well. Better than I do, I'll bet. Don't just stand around, Mira. I don't feel like I'm strong enough to bring this man all the way to the detention center." ((Long post again.))

"So you knew I was here?" Mira asked, as he opened the door and entered the room. Once in the room, he cuffed Robert and applied as much first aid as he could before leading him to the detention center. "I'll have to talk to you about the murder of Shelia Delevara." Mira told Sandra, as he pushed Robert to the detention center, making sure that he didn't run off when he had the chance.

"Well, it was sort of a guess. See, I heard someone outside the door, but they didn't come in. If it was someone who needed to see him, they wouldn't have waited. I also figured you would be the one to know where I was, since nobody else knows my number, so you were the only one who could track me," Sandra explained. "So, what do you need to tell me about the murder of Sheila Delevara?" She was uneasy as she considered what he could say. That she was too late would be the worst, or at least that's what she thought.

"Actually, I want to know what you know about the murder." Mira told Sandra. "As long as he has had a history of murder (and is now apprehended), we'll have to investigate the rest of the accused murders. Besides, the trial should go more smoothly if we have evidence for another murder by the same defendant."

"Fortunately for you, I have evidence," Sandra said, lifting her shirt to reveal a wire. "I recorded our whole conversation. That's as good as any evidence, but you're right. We should investigate. You'd be surprised how much I know about the trial. My best friend was being accused for it, so I've been learning everything I could about the case without being on it.
"The defendant has been arrested before for robbery, so Robert knew this could look like a common robbery. He wanted to make it look like Sheila got up in the middle of the night and saw the rober there. He shot her in the head, but became scared and fled before he could take anything. I trust you could see the flaws in this story." Sandra handed Mira the autopsy report.

"I see." Mira looked over the autopsy report. "Did you talk about her death? That would make the trial even more easier." Mira said, still reading over the autopsy report.

"We kind of talked about it, but not in detail," Sandra replied. "Though he kind of admitted he did it. So, what were the errors he made?" She already knew the answers, but she figured she might as well see whether or not Mira would make a good detective, since she could tell he didn't like being a delivery man.

"Well if he murdered this Sheila Delevara, then he'd have to be behind her when the shot was fired, seeing as the bullet went through the back of the head. If it was a suicide, then it would be in the front of the head. If she saw the robber, than the wound would also be at the front of the head, seeing as there were no robbers behind her - except for this case's defendant." Mira concluded. "But of course, he ran off, so he couldn't take anything, which only barely helps his case."

"Right. The fact that she was shot from behind is one flaw. Now, take a look at this photo. It shows she was shot in the front of her head, not the back, but there is another thing. One that destroys the story completely. The one Phoenix Wright was going to point out before...Anyway, can you spot the error?" Sandra asked.

Mira examined the photo. Then he looked at the autopsy report. Then the photo again. "Simple, the victim turned around, allowing the suspect to shoot her in the front of the head. At that point, Robert was in the front, and the supposed burglar was in the back (at the time of the shooting). He must have said something to her before she died." Mira concluded.

"Well, yes, that's true, but look at the furniture? See how it is overturned as if there was a fight? If the defendant shot her, then ran away because he was afraid, why would the furniture be overturned like that? What really happened was this: Sheila handed Robert the divorce papers. There was a struggle. The defendant came in to rob the place. Instead, he saw Robert shoot Sheila and kill her. He ran away, scared, and Robert framed him for murder," Sheila explained. "Oh, well. I can't expect you to notice that on your first try."

First try my ass. Mira thought. Had you asked me to answer the motive as well as the method of death, I would have answered properly. Oh how I wish I could tell her. Mira continued to think in an irritated tone. "So are we ready to prosecute?" Mira asked.

"Prosecute? Oh, no. I'm a detective. I'm not supposed to be the one prosecuting unless they can't find a prosecutor who will take the case," Sandra explained, ignoring the obviously irritated tone in his voice and irritation on his face. "However, I think it wouldn't hurt to check the crime scene for anything we might have missed."

"By definition, a detective can still prosecute. But yeah, that sounds like a good idea." Mira said, handing the autopsy report and photo back to Sandra. "It's better to do something twice with accuracy than once with flaws."

"My thoughts exactly. The address is 4202 Baker Street. Yes, detectives can, but most of the time they serve as witnesses to talk about the case and why the defendant was the one who was accused. Besides, I wouldn't prosecute my own-... ...Anyway, you should call a taxi. It would be a long walk from here," Sandra said.

Mira had his phone out when she mentioned a taxi. He dialed a number. "Hello? Yes. 4202 Baker Street. Ok. Bye." Mira hung up. "So yeah, you pretty much described the definition of the word 'prosecute.'" Mira told Sandra.

((Yes, it is.)) So that's what he meant, Sandra thought. She smiled meekly. "I guess my definition is different from yours, then," she said. "Words like 'prosecution' and 'defense' mean different things to different people. Why, back when I was... ... ...So, the cab will be right out front?"
