After having been lost on the reservation and, indeed, everywhere, Little Waterfall now returned. She had a bow and arrow in addition to her other gear now. A bright smile was on her face as she walked into the city streets. Her brother...

She decided it was time to go and see him, for better or worse. But she wasn't going alone. Maybe she could find that Ben person again?

She scratched her side, her blue eyes looking around at all the people.

((Ah...this is making me feel nostalgic...))

Ten days, ten days straight and every single person he met with hand nothing to do with his profession. It had to the his sign. "Ben Credable P.I. Agency", a joined association with his childhood friend Athena Cross. Many came to him, hiring him out as a Private Investigator. Each time he turned them down.

"I'm not a Private Investgator," he kept telling them. "I'm a PARANORMAL Investigator! I find ghost...meaning they have to be dead before I can look for them!" Most of the time, the clients would leave the office in fits of laughter, or grumbling about fixing the sign.

With no cases, Ben took the day off from his office and strolled down the street, with little to do but to pass the time.

As soon as her eyes caught the Investigator, they went as wide as ever.

"Mr. Ben! You're still alive!"

Little Waterfall called out. She ran up to him and gave him a hug.

"You're alive! Yaay!"

"Mr. Ben, you're still alive!"

"Huh?!" Ben turned his head toward the shout, only to be tackled down by a young Indian girl, with familiar blue eyes. "Gak!" he shouted, as his body was being crushed by the strength of the girl's hug. "...please....can't...breath!" he tried to speak.

As soon as the girl notice he was turning blue, she released her bear hold and stood up. Ben breathed the air heavily before getting to his feet, dusting the dirt from his pants. "Now, what on earth are you..." he stopped wehn he suddenly became aware who it was that glomped him. "Wait...Waterfall, is that you?!"

She had a wide smile on her face. Positivily estactic. The handband on her head was once again inside out. She started jumping up and down, happy to see him.

"Wow," Ben muttered. He remembered Waterfall quite well. It was around the time he had quit the police force and began working with Athena. That was nearly a year ago. "It's great to see you," he smiled. "You've really grown since the last time I saw you." He paused, thinking for a moment. "Wait...what are you doing here, anyway? Aren't you suppose to be at the reservation?"

"I haven't really been home since I found out my mom died..."

She said with a little frown.

"Turns out that the evil people who kidnapped her went and killed her too."

She held up her wrist and showed a red twisting bracelet. It was carved with the same markings as her headband.

"This was hers. She'd never leave it behind. Anyway, I've been out learning how to use my bow. I won't let them hurt me."

She said, giving a determined nod.

"I wanted to go...go and see my brother."

Oh, that's right, Ben thought. Her reservation was attacked by a group of fanatics, and her mother was killed. Waterfall's older brother...what's his name?....was the one that let them in, on threat of both Little Waterfall and her mother. He's currently serving a sentence for his role in the attack, but with Athena's help, he should be getting an appeal in the following months.

"Yeah, I think he'll be happy to see you, Little Waterfall," Ben agreed. "If you'd like, I'll take you down to the Detention Center now to speak with him."

"Well," Ben replied. "If he is, I'm sure you'll make him smile." He took her hand as they headed over to the detention center.

"I've grown so acustom to these walls," Ben commented, looking around the grey visitor's room. "I'd call this my second home. But then people would get the wrong idea." He spoke with the guard, and asked if Dry River was available to see someone. The two of them waited for the guard to return.

There was a pause as Dry River appeared. He was led to the chair and looked at Ben.

"More questioning. Really...it's getting boring."

"Hey, brother! Broth-"

He said. His eyes went wide the moment he saw his little sister. A smile was on his face, but it was like he couldn't bring himself to look at her even.

"....well," Ben replied, rather irritated by River's attitude. "That's all? You're sister came all the way here to see her big brother, and that's all you say?!" He crossed his arms in an attempt to mimic Rivers. "...nice to see you." He slammed his fist on the table in from of him. "Come on! Where's the emotion?! Get off your high horse and show her how glad you are to see her! Or so help me...I come around that glass window and smack your face a good seven times!"

He didn't seem to be able to respond. He continued looking at the ground.

"I'm sorry. Sister...you shouldn't have come here..."

He shook his head.

"You don't remember..."

He gave a frown. He looked to Ben, his eyes watering.

Ben saw the look in River's eyes, and understood. He didn't want Waterfall to know it was he who allowed the killers into the reservation, the ones who killed their mother. Ben was willing to respect his reasons, but he didn't want you Waterfall to be swept off by it.

"Waterfall," Ben said, turning to the little girl. "Would you mind stepping out for a little bit. I need to discuss something with your brother."

"It may still be," Ben replied. "You know Athena's gotten you approve for an appeal, in about another month or so." There was a moment of silence, before he continued. "From what I heard, they caught one of the acomplices. If all goes well, they'll find the ones who threaten you an bring them to justice."

"Thank you. Thank you, very much. It means everything. At least I can wash some of the blood off of my hands."

He said, looking at them.

"It's not me they're threatening. My life means nothing to me. It's her. And I'm afraid if they hurt her...they'll make her remember."

He looked down.

"It's said that when people experience trauma, one of the usual responses is for them to push the memory from their mind. Forget what happened. Remember - she was with me when they tried to get into the village."
