Anyone remember this? It was epic fun! :D

So, it's a de Killer RP. Everyone gets to be an assassin! Or you can be a member ofthe family who chose to follow a different path...The possibilities are endless!

The profile structure can be found in the next post. Please PM me your profile. I will reply once I've reviewed and cleared your profile. You then can start posting!

Please follow all RP rules. 50+ word posts are REQUIRED. If you can't post that much at once, please refrain from joining. But really: 50 words isn't that hard.

You can have more than one character, but make sure you can handle them. =)

-Bodily: Medium-tall, with strong legs. Hair is auburn-brown that is very wavy; reaches to shoulder blades. Eyes are an electrifying blue.
-Clothing: Wears dark brown slacks with a tight, business-like, light blue blouse that is rolled up to her elbows. Typically wears a felt cap with a checkered pattern of blue and dark red, and wears a dark brown long coat. Also has a circle-shaped locket with a picture of her father and mother.
Personality: Almost always serious in any given time. Takes her job very seriously (is a detective) and relentlessly finds whatever criminal she must find. Does not like surprises. She also becomes very uncomfortable around abstract-like topics; Vivi isn't dense by any means, but doesn't like talking about those subjects because she doesn't feel like she has much to contribute.
History: Vivi's mother was Shelly's sister, Luna de Killer. Luna was known to be less secretive about her killings; they would be almost always in broad daylight in a crowd. Police would usually know it was her, due to the crescent-cut shape she had on her victims, but couldn't find her due to lack of evidence and leads. However, she fell in love with Harold Deville (a lawyer), a client of hers, who obviously knew who she was, but needed her because the man he wanted 'outed' was threatening his life, but the police wouldn't do anything about it. Luna changed her name to Miriam, and neither parents told Vivi her true patronage. Miriam/Luna died under very strange circumstances that Harold refused to talk about. However, soon after Vivi became a detective, Harold disappeared without leaving any clues. Vivi searches for the answers to both mysteries.
Notable Possessions: Has a decent, police-commissioned pistol. Also has a circle-shaped locket with her parents' pictures inside. She also surreptitiously carries a lock-pick kit with her.
Residence: Lives in an apartment in town
Misc Facts: Vivi believes the de Killers are a bunch of pompous assassins who find killing 'honorable'. She almost hates them; however, she can't prove that they have anything to do with her mom's death or dad's disappearance. Does not know that her mother's real name is Luna. However, it is important to note that before Luna died she wrote a letter to Shelly that said to "...keep an eye on Viviene and make sure she's on the 'right path'. And tell her the truth when the time is right." It may be assumed that most of de Killer family, except for Vivi, knows about Vivi's true patronage, but some may not know unless they see the locket.

Cecilia stood outside the door of the 25th floor apartment, waiting for the right moment to enter. She wouldn't show it, but she was a little nervous as she wasn't used to the kind of thing her client requested. She looked down at the rope in her hands. That was to be the noose, as she was to make it look like a suicide. She didn't know or care what her client would do after she completed the assignment which she was already paid for. She walked through the door.

A couple minutes later, she was outside again. She did the mission perfectly as always. Nobody would guess the poor guy was assassinated if they didn't see the card she left behind. Then again, nobody would ever guess she was an assassin. She was just a perfectly normal looking, 11-year-old girl, wearing jeans and a pink t-shirt. There wasn't even a drop of blood on her. She walked through another door far away from the apartment complex.
"I'm home," she announced.

Alison was in the foyer of the mansion. She looked up from where she was sitting, on a plush emerald green sofa. Se had been painting her nails, a practice so mundane, it seemed out of place on the solemn girl. "Hello, Cecilia," she said formally. "You completed your job, correct?" She allowed her foster sister a small smile. "Obviously. You've yet to even make a small error on the job." She rose gracefully. "Are you hungry? Would you like something?"

Cecilia smiled because Alison was right. Ah, Alison. Formal as always, she thought.
"Yes, you're correct. I completed the mission without any errors," Cecilia replied casually. It was the normal topic of conversation within the household. "I could go for a big, juicy burger right now. So, what color did you paint your nails this time?"

Ivan de Killer. One of the best assassins to ever walk the earth. Of course, you could say that about any of his close family members. He looked in to the eyes of his victim, without the least bit of concern for his pleas for life. Ivan smiled gravely and spoke. "Don't worry, I'll make it quick. I don't want to be late." He then swiftly wrapped his handkercheif- hand-stitched with "dK" in the corner- around the man's neck. He tightened, tightened, and the man squirmed until his life was no more. The man collapsed to the ground. Ivan removed the handkerchief and slipped it into his pocket. He exited the room, and headed to his car. It wasn't the best car available to him, and he knew that. He could afford better. But he felt that driving around an expensive luxury car would draw too much unwanted attention. He drove up the driveway, and parked in the large garage. He unlocked the do- ? *sigh* I must have left it unlocked...? He entered the mansion. "Ah, home... Where even the glorious and beautiful can show their true colors with no one knowing."

"Hello, Ivan," Cecilia greeted. "I guess you just completed your mission, too. How did it go? I'm dying to hear about it." Cecilia was interested in everything, especially what the family was doing, which, in some ways, would seem creepy to anyone else who didn't know her. Then again, not very many people live among assassins anyway.

Alison chuckled. "Congratulations on another job well done," she replied graciously. She blinked. "A hamburger? Certainly." Alison walked into the kitchen, her tiny frame swaying. She motioned for the older girl to join her. "I must wait..." she said apologetically. The girl flourished her fingers. "I tried something different." She had given herself a French manicure, but instead of the traditional white, the tips of her fingernails were a shocking lime green, and the bases black. “I rather like it, don’t you?” she prompted.

The girl turned, hearing the ‘click’ of the door opening. “Must be Ivan...” she murmured to herself. She walked smoothly out of the kitchen and back into the foyer. She smiled openly at the sight of her cousin. “Ivan!” she exclaimed. She rushed forward and embraced her cousin.

"Ah, Alison, it's nice to see you too." he said with a calm expression, quickly wrapping an arm around her. He turned to Cecilia. "Today's assignment was fairly simple. In his hotel room, no traces. I assure you, it'll be concluded as a suicide. All I had to do was strangle him." he said to his little "sister." He took a seat on the couch. He pulled the handkerchief out of his pocket, and examined it. "It's amazing how something so simple can turn deadly so quickly."

Of course she'd choose something shocking and cool like that, Cecilia thought. "It's great! I think it's really cool-looking," Cecilia said about her "sister's" nails. "And, yes. I always thought it was interesting how objects nobody ever thinks about could be murder weapons." She wondered if anyone else outside the DeKiller family ever thought about that.

Viviene stood at the crime scene. A young man, which police identified him as Fred Haven, was slowly hanging on a noose in the middle of the room. The Forensics department was currently snapping photographs around the room; Viviene couldn't do a thing until they were done. She understood this necessary procedure, but she didn't like it.
I wish they'd hurry up. That body is creeping me out, she thought.

Finally, she was allowed to take a glance at the scene. The police wanted this case closed; it was a suicide, they insisted. There was nothing mysterious about that. However, Vivi was sure she knew better; or at least she had to check. Mr. Haven wasn't exactly prominent, but something didn't sit right with Vivi about a man who never had temper problems, or depression issues, and was making a decent living—of course, if a decent living meant cheating people out of insurance. Mr. Haven was rumored to have done such foul acts, but lack of evidence meant the police and the government could do nothing.

Vivi didn't falter when the people around her demanded to end this "charade". She didn't deter; she walked around the room, wanting to find something that would make the police shut up. That's when she saw it.

A card. Vivi picked it up to see the symbol. Her eyes seemed to spark a certain electricity. She recognized this card; De Killers.

"Yeah," Cecilia agreed. "Especially since we leave our cards behind at every crime scene." One thing that always struck Cecilia was that she went to school and even had friends there, but nobody knew she was a DeKiller. She guessed Alison probably was more like the popular belief of what a DeKiller was like: pale, black hair, creepy and scary. But Alison wasn't creepy or scary in any way to Cecilia.

Viviene stared at the card. It had the symbol of the ever famous Shelly de Killer; except for one thing that Vivi thought was strange; instead of the shell being pink, like usual, it was green. Vivi pocketed the card. The police had seen this card around before, but it was a little rarer. Everyone except Viviene simply thought that Shelly had run out of pink ink; Vivi was very suspicious.

She presented the card to the skeptic police. "This wasn't a suicide. It was an assassination. By none other than another De Killer," Vivi concluded. Sgt. Hummer, a rather overweight, lethargic, and apathetic man, glanced at the card once, his face at first frowning. However, after Vivi spoke, he began to laugh that shook his whole body. Sgt. Hummer would fire people for whatever reason he pleased; why Viviene was still on the force, she'd never know. However, due to his iron fist, everyone else laughed, uneasily.

"Another De Killer? You're joking," he said. Vivi's eyes narrowed.
"What if he's given up his mantle to another person? We won't know until we try to track them down," Viviene clenched her teeth. She always wanted the police to track these assassins down, but the police force called it "impossible" and refused to. Suddenly, the Sergent's walki-talki beeped and he listened to the caller.

"Wait, he died how!?" he grumbled. He immediately hung up. "Another guy dead by strangulation," Sgt. Hummer murmured. Vivi picked up on his tone.
"Another noose!? Is there a card?" she shouted. He shook his head.
"No. No weapon seems to have been found. I'm heading over there. Make sure Forensics checks this place thoroughly. Though I doubt they will if we're dealing with a De Killer..." he barked orders, whispering the last part to himself. Vivi frowned deeply, looking around the room.

C'mon, any clue... She lightly touched her locket, and opened it up. Her mother and father were inside. Mom... I'll find out who murdered you. Dad... I'll find you. Somewhere.

((I was going to say that I found some sort of identification of Cecila's; obviously, nothing that would make Vivi think she committed the crime, but perhaps she believes she could be a witness. But that would go against Lida's whole "never messes anything up". Anyway, I just wanted a reason to see ya'll, lol.
I just realized the name of the mansion you guys live in. I promise, it was completely coincidental that I named Vivi's mom Luna, lol.))

Blood. Nexus had seen it all before, yet it never failed to shock him. It wasn't the blood itself, it was the clumsiness. Nobody else in his family had ever commited this clumsy a murder, as far as he knew. And yet...there was definitely something wrong...
It could have been suicide. All the signs pointed to suicide. But the card told him otherwise. A green shell. This was the work of a de Killer, all right. There was no blood this time, but it was still a fairly clumsy job.
"What do you reckon, de Killer?" Asked a police officer from his right.
"Assasination. Not Shelly, a junior member...I need to talk to Detective Deville. Is she here?"
"Right this way..."

Alison suddenly heard a rather loud and annoying beeping noise. "What could that be...?" she muttered. She walked to the kitchen counter, where her cell phone lay. She glanced at the screen. "Incoming call?" She glared at her sister. "You changed my ringtone," she stated calmly. "I'll get you back..." Her eyes twinkled. She picked up the phone. "Hello? ...Yes, it's Alison. ...Ah, yes. ...Alright. ...Thank you very much." She hung up. "Well, it seems I have a school assignment. There was a 'suicide'." She glanced at Cecilia and smiled. "We have to investigate for science class." She grinned. "I'll be careful." She turned to Ivan. "Will you drive me?" she asked.

"Investigating a suicide? I never got to do anything fun like that when I was nine," Cecilia said. "And I thought your ringtone was a little eerie, especially when you were called in the middle of the night." Cecilia smiled at Alison. She was pretty sure the "suicide" was actually her assassination attempt. ((I'm just surprised the client wouldn't hide the card somewhere where it couldn't be found.)) "Do you mind if I come with you to investigate? It would be interesting to say the least."

"Detective Deville, there's someone who wishes to speak to you," a police officer stopped Vivi's train of thought. She perked up and turned to see her visitor. He was a thinner man with a prosthetic leg, and a long scar on his eye. Viviene remembered him; he was definitely a memorable man. For more than one reasons.
Vivi visibly stiffened as she met the Ex-De Killer. Nexus, she remembered. When she saw his name on a list of those who were in her division some time ago, Viviene remembered becoming angry. She interrogated him for a long period of time; wanting answers, hoping he wasn't some sort of really bad De Killer spy. He swore that the De Killers would have nothing to do with him. This was proven before by having him find the cards. But she still gave a weary eye.

She smiled as genuine as possiple. "Ah, yes?" she asked. "What is it you wish to speak about?"

Lilak sat laid back in her snug office chair. She hadn't done anything with the room yet. The walls were still white, the floor boards were to be put in and paint cans sat all over the room ready to be opened. The only pieces of furniture in the room were the chair she was sitting on and the foot stool she was resting her feet on. In her hands she held five switch blade knifes. She sighed, another boring day. She didn't really didn't feel like finishing up the room today and she defiantly was not going to hire somebody to do it for her. Lilak didn't enjoy strangers in her house, specially when they were building part of her house. She held up one of her expensive Italian switchblades and flung it toward the wall. It stuck perfectly straight in as always. I wonder what the de Killers are up too... she thought as she threw another switch blade into the wall.

"Do you have any clues as to whom it was?" He said, running his finger down his scar. It can't be Shelly, it just can't...

Alison bit her lip. "I think it'd be best if you stay here," she said to her sister. "Me going to a crime scene is bad enough, but two de Killers at a murder scene? Cecilia, you know better!" Alison chuckled and shook her head. She lifted her hand. "I'll see you later," she said cheerfully, walking out the door. She opened the passenger seat door silently, and slid into the car. "Ivan, let's go!" she called.

Cecilia was a little disappointed as she watched Allison get into the car. Now, she would be home alone with nothing to do except homework and waiting for calls from clients. Oh, well. She would find something to do. She sat down on the couch and waited for something to happen.

Vivi stared at the card. His words seemed to repeat her suspicions; another De Killer. If there was one good thing about Detective De Killer, it was that he at least seemed to respect her opinions and was probably the only one on the force who didn't think she was completely crazy.

"Honestly, I don't know much about the De Killers," she responded honestly. "I would like to learn more, but the Sergent has always said it would be a waste of time," she lowered her voice, "Do you know where I could find someone who could give me more info?"

"Yes. Go to the cafe just southwest of here. Dean's I recall it's called. There's an informant there, I use him a lot. Pay him and he'll tell us..." Nexus stared at Vivi, eyes burning into her. " I want to find them as much as you do. Come on, I'll show you." He said, and walked away, his leg imitating natural movement effortlessly.

"A cafe?" she interrupted quietly, more talking to herself than to the Detective. An informant would be helpful... I'm not very keen on the money, however.
Vivi noticed his heavy stare; in response, she stood taller, an instinct to remain in control, and held a careful gaze. Vivi and Nexus had a bit in common; however, he was a De Killer, and she was not, right? Despite this, Vivi still was cautious around him... just in case. She told one of the other lower detectives in charge to keep things 'clean and precise', that she would be back.

Viviene followed Nexus to this supposed cafe.

Dean's Coffee Palace was a run down place in the city outskirts. It was a regular place for informants and journalists, so it hadn't taken Nexus long to find Kyle Lee, the informant who knew so much about the de Killers.
Sitting down with Vivi opposite Kyle, Nexus slid his hand across the table. Nobody saw anything but when Nexus retracted it, Kyle seemed a lot happier.
"What can I do for ya, Nexus?" Kyle asked.
"Where can we find them, Kyle?" Nexus asks, cutting straight to the chase.
"Ah. Ahhh. Ahhhhh. AHHHHH!" The last 'ah' is amplified as Kyle pitches foward, a knife in his back. The assailant is nowhere in sight.
"Holy shit! What the-" Nexus is cut off as he sees the pink shell. He keels over, fainted at the card.

Lilak was now really bored. All the switchblades she had held were now stuck perfectly into the wall. Lilak swiveled a bit and then thought;
Hmm... maybe I should go over to see the de Killers... see what they're up to, heck I have nothing better to do. She slid out of her chair and started for the stairs. Once on the main floor, she headed for the mud room. Lilak slipped her black laced boots on and grabbed her keys off the hooks nailed to the beige colored wall. She opened the door and went outside, smelling the fresh air. She locked the door quickly and swiftly ran towards her green BMW motorcycle. Lilak revved the engine and smiled, this was her freedom. She then zoomed off towards Crescenta Manor.

The coffee place wasn't exactly new to Viviene. She'd heard of the place as somewhere to get some info, but someone else (usually Nexus, now that she thought about it) would normally get the info for her; before she even asked.

The smell of coffee was the first to protrude her nose, which Vivi promptly wrinkled in slight distaste. She was more of a tea person.
Vivi didn't recognize the informant; he looked greasy, tight-lipped, but knowledgeable in a strange way.
Nexus didn't take long to get to the point; Vivi saw the money being slid and the question asked just as smoothly.

However, something shot out of the corner of her eye. Vivi always cursed her vision; she could always tell when something was out of place, but she still had yet to fully learn the art of knowing exactly what was out of place. However, in such an area, she shouldn't have taken chances. Except the killer was too quick.
Kyle was stabbed before Viviene could respond and the pink card fluttered down.
"Nobody move!" she yelled as commotion happened all around her. Vivi focused; she was trained to handle such situations.

She quickly caught Nexus in one hand and gently laid him down to the floor. Great, my only back-up is—wait, he's not...! Vivi quickly checked his body and for a pulse. There was one; it was pounding for moment, but slowing down. Viviene then quickly went over the counter to Kyle, her phone calling for back-up in one hand.

"I need an ambulance and police. NOW!" she yelled, quickly giving the address. She saw the knife wound; if the ambulance wasn't fast enough, Kyle could die of blood loss. Vivi attempted to plug the wound, hoping that he'd survive, but unsure if he would.

As this was happening, a sudden chill went up her spine as she felt a cold hand around her locket. Vivi was forced to turn the other way as the mystery man grasped the locket and opened it. He let go as he whispered, "Stay out of the way. It's for your own good."

Lilak screeched to a halt as she had arrived at the humongous manor that was Crescenta Manor. Lilak stood in awe for a few seconds, she had been here many times before but Crescenta Manor still took affect on her. It was a spectacular building, much better than her old, broken down estate. Though her house was bigger than the de Killer's, Crescenta Manor was still much more grander and didn't have many empty, unfinished rooms looming around. Lilak shook the awe off and quickly ran up the steps towards the front entrance. Once she reached the front door, she gave it three good knocks. Thunk thunk THUNK. She knew there was a doorbell but she always preferred knocking on doors. It seemed more normal to her than simply ringing the doorbell. I hope they're home, or at least one of them... Lilak thought as she waited for someone to answer the door.

((I'm sorry if I described Crescenta Manor wrong, I don't really know what it looks like. If I described something wrong, I can edit this post if you want.))

Now, who could that be? Cecilia thought. I guess I have to answer the door... She got up and went for the door, but tripped and fell on her way there. It's a good thing I'm only a klutz at home. Heh, heh. Cecilia got up and opened the door to reveal Lilak. "Um...Hello, um...Lilak, right? What's going on?"

Lilak heard someone fall near the front door on the inside. heh, wonder who that could be... Soon after, the door was opened by Cecilia. "Hey there Cecilia, yeah it's me Lilak. Nothing's really going on right now, that's why I decided to stop by and see if you guys needed anything." Lilak paused for a second to take a quick breath. "Oh and what's been happening with you guys lately? Anything interesting happen?". Lilak sucked at starting conversations and cursed herself for it, but she did want to talk and try to teach herself how not to be such a shy freak. Maybe learn how to make better conversation starters.

"I don't...think we need anything," Cecilia replied. "And as for the interesting thing, it kind of depends on what you'd call interesting, but Alison gets to investigate a 'suicide.'" She grinned widely when she said that. "Would you like to come in?" she asked, stepping out of the doorway to let Lilak through. "I made hamburgers."

"Hmm, alright then." Lilak said "Oh a 'suicide' huh? sounds very interesting". Lilak smiled, she always liked hearing about the de Killers jobs, they always did something that was unique and of course, interesting. "Oh sure, thank you." Lilak stepped inside, Crescenta Manor sure was a sight for sore eyes. She then smelled some appetizing smell coming from the kitchen. "Hamburgers?" Lilak replied as her stomach rumbled "Ha, I guess I could use a bite. Thanks".

Cecilia laughed as she followed her guest in. Then, she went over to the oven and pulled off the burgers, putting a couple on each plate. "Do you want ketchup? Onions? Pickles? Pickle relish? Mustard?" she asked as she dumped all the topings she just listed on her own burger. "Lettuce? Tomato? Bacon?"
The toppings were piling up on her own burger as she asked.

Waking up, Nexus slowly got up. Seeing Kyle, he leapt into action.
"Kyle! Godammit man, don't die!"
"Crescenta...Manor..." Kyle croaked, and slumped. The pulse vanished.
"Shit!" Nexus yelled. He turned to Vivi.
"Do you know anywhere called 'Crescenta Manor'?"
