There was a cold snap to the air of the New Year. Robyn Valentine stood on the street corner, rubbing her hands together in an attempt to get warm. She was sure her pink hair was about to get icicles any minute now. She huddled down into her winter coat and boots in an attempt to find some form of bodily heat to combat the harsh wind that bit at her face.
The streetlamp glowed at her feet, bathing the corner in a dim light. There was the sound of traffic, and the smell of Italian cuisine was floating in the air.
Robyn's stomach grumbled.
"Ack!" she moaned. "Where the heck are they?" She lifted her hand and looked at the wrist watch. The time was 8.15 PM, half an hour later that she arranged.
"So hungry..." she murmered, leaning back onto the streetlight.

A sudden movement made her jolt up again, alert.

I like chocolate milk. 8D

"I'm coming sis!" called Rita running towards her sister.
"there she is!" cried Rita pointing at Robyn
They ran towards Robyn
"Oh no, you must be freezing!" said Rita "come, lets head over to the pizza place, you can finally meet Luigi; my boss!"
Rita looked around
"where's your assistant? Her name... It was Dia... no... It was Diane, right?" asked Rita, "should we wait for her in the freezing cold or shall we go inside without her?"

"Sorry I'm late, everyone!" Diane cried as she ran up the street and crashed into Robyn. "I almost forgot I had a meeting! Sorry for running into you Robyn, I didn't see you there! I know that you taught me to be observant and be aware of my surroundings, but I was so flustered that everything was a blur!" Diane rambled on, all while trying to catch her breath and pick up the papers that scattered everywhere after her collision.

"I guess we can go inside now and out of the freezing cold" said Rita and then began to walk towards the Pizza place, she turned and saw Diane picking up the papres and went to help "sorry, almost went in without you! It's just so cold!"
(Diane then had a quite annoyed look on her face)
Once Diane and everyone had picked up her papers, they walked inside where it was lovely and warm - there they met Rita's boss, Luigi; who was inside, at the entrance...

She bent down to help Diane with the papers. "It's alright, Diane. I understand how flustered you can get!" she smiled as she stood up.
She nodded at Rita's question. "Sure thing, I'd like to meet your famous boss. I hear he's made quite a name for himself?" she walked with her.

The lot of them walked into the the Pizza place. They sat down at the table nearest the window and all got into their seats.
"So then Diane, how'd you become Robyn's assistant, I'd love to hear that story" said Rita starting conversation, feeling a lot happier now that she was out of the bitter cold. Before Diane could answer someone came along to hand them their menus...

Robyn nodded to Diane. "Are they coming in any use?" she asked, smiling gently.

Suddenly a large enigmatic voice from the kitchen piped up.

"Mamma mia, if it isn't Rita and her little family!" a man stood next to the table, laughing heartily. He had a black moustache to match his black hair, however both were greying at the edges. He had crinkled eyes, and wore a wide white apron.

"Well, well, if it isn't Luigi." Robyn smiled to herself.

"He's here" said Rita as her very large boss came over to their table. Rita stood and greeted him, also introduced him to the others. "Everyone, this is Luigi my boss. And Luigi this is everyone!" She then sat back into her seat.

Luigi went to get the menus. Thankfully he did not take too long.
He returned and handed out menus to each and every person at the table.

It did not take Diane long at all to decide what to get, "I'd like one of the pizzas, please. Extra sauce and cheese." She was dying to try one of the special pizzas that Rita was always raving about. However, now that Diane thought about it, Rita was the one who always made the pizzas. She took back her order and, instead, ordered some spaghetti with, again, extra sauce and cheese.

OK, I've got an idea: I'll be a defense attorney, Maxwell Mynder, who goes to the pizza place, and decides to take the case when the actual murder happens. Margie took her menu and looked through it, trying to decide what to get. in the end she settled for her favorite, eggplant pizza. And a milkshake.

Luigi looked at her strangely "anything else"

As Luigi walked away, Diane glanced out the window and saw a suspicious-looking character waiting outside the doors to the restaurant. Since this neighborhood was generally a good one with little crime, she wasn't worried about it.

((sorry for double post, but I wanted to continue this RP!))

As Luigi walked away, Diane sought the opportunity to ask Robyn some questions about being a detective.

"So Robyn, how do you know if something is evidence? What makes it important?" Diane said, pencil and notepad in-hand.

She always kept her notes organized, even though she would loose them half the time. Once a red pad one was full, she would move to an orange one, then a yellow, then a green, then a blue, then a purple and so on. Currently, she was on her third green notepad. Pencils always corresponded to the color of the notepad. Since this notepad was green, and green was opposite red on the color wheel, she used a red pencil. If the notepad was purple, she would use a yellow pencil. Blue notepads called for an orange pencil.

Taggy was leaning against the wall looking out the kitchen at Rita and her family. Great, now Rita and her family is here he thought letting out a deep sigh. Hopefully she won't insist on introducing me. As Taggy then started to look around the restaurant, he saw a girl in the corner looking starved. Taggy walked up to the door of the kitchen and yelled at Luigi, "AY! Luigi! Don't forget the starved little miss over there!" tilting his head side-ways as if pointing at the girl.

Rita had heard Taggy from across the room and called him over. She thought it would be great to introduce him.
"Everybody, this is Taggy," she said inviting him to sit. "Taggy, everybody. If you want you can join us."
Rita stomch then growled loudly, she let out a laugh, "gosh, I'm getting hungry!"
