Steel had played asleep since Exo left. He had been thinking about his two dreams. The last one was familiar to him: it was when he was rescued from that place by the Resistance, when his life was saved, practically. But the first one, he couldn't understand it. He heard some steppes, and half-opened one of his eyes. It was Jacob. He was surprised he would be the one to visit him; he figured he would be in a planning mission for the next strike against the Legions. But that didn't mean it was nice to have him there. "Hey, there, Jacob", he groaned, as if he had just woken up. He smiled. "What a lovely surprise, my friend. Visiting me in my last bed...", he joked, faking an exaggerated sadness. "How's everything rollin'? I hope it's OK". He sat in his bed. He paused for a little while, and looked at Jacob. "Hey... I wanted to ask you about... something" He paused for a now longer moment. "A couple of things. First, when you picked me up for the first time... where was I?" |

Aria rose, taking a step backwards. A huge wave of emotion rolled through her at his voice, a mixture of fear and a stronger version of pain that she couldn't quite put her finger on. Clutching at her hair, she took another step back. "Who are you?!" |

Dies was affronted by her rudeness. How dare she intrude upon his sleeping time and then fail to answer his question properly. He moved forwards to teach her a lesson. He was about to hit her hard around the face when he caught a glimpse of what she looked like by the light of the moon, and he stopped still. That face. He hadn't seen it in countless years, but it was still recognisable. He couldn't believe who he was looking at. It was his sister. They stood their as if frozen. Terror was etched onto her face, and surprise on his. But he soon began to feel another emotion. Hatred. "What are you doing here?!" he barked at her. |

Aria's eyes widened. "Kill...?" Survival instinct kicked in, and she scrambled to her feet, pushing off the roof with a huge jump. She rose straight up into the air out of Dies' reach. "You can't! I need..." Her voice tailed away. "...to remember..." |

"Get back here!" Dies yelled, and he rose up after her. But he knew that he had no chance, his powers were weak at the moment, and if he didn't get back down on safe ground he would fall. Reluctantly he descended to his room, yelling "This isn't over!" to the woman. He tried to sleep but he couldn't. His mind was abuzz with activity. How was she still alive. He thought that he had gotten rid of her ages ago. How was it that everything he did failed? But he was determined now. He would train hard until he could find her, and kill her like he needed to. So instead of sleep, he sat on the floor and meditated until the early hours of the morning. |

Shooting back in the direction that she came from, Aria's mind was on one thing - the man she had just encountered. He was so familiar - she felt that he was the key to everything, her loss of memory, how she had disappeared. Just as she was descending near where the base was, the name flashed through her mind. Dies Screaming, Aria clutched at her head as the pain exploded. Losing control of her powers, she plummeted the last six metres onto the street. |

Hearing a scream, Jacob didn't hesitate, and ran outside, through the fire exit, and the door, and the window. He loved being able clone himself. He cloned himself even more, and soon there were 5 Jacobs catching her and falling on each other, so he merged back. "Aria? Are you OK?" He asked |

Ophelia continued to run. She kept trying to think of a way to get Exo off her trail. She drew 4 birds. 2 of them began to peck at Exo's head and the other 2 worked to tie a rope around her legs to trip her. |

"Ha!" Exo laughed, leaping over the birds and cutting the rope with her sword simultaneously. The pecking of her head didn't bother her at all as she kept running after Ophelia. It occurred to Exo that if Ophelia managed to throw her off her trail, Exo would have no clue how to get back to the base... She's going to just try harder to throw you off her trail...But if she can't see you... Exo leaped up, into the trees, hiding while following Ophelia through the treetops. |

((Sorry, haven't been sure how to respond)) Carmen: ~Rest area, Bar~ Carmen blinked as she suddenly felt a blank spot in the wall of emotions. She instictively glanced in the direction of the interference and found the Legion's leader staring at her. At first she thought nothing of it, then she realized a distinct emotion she had felt in the wall was missing now. The wall was still filled with anxiety, confusion, fear, annoyance, boredom, and beligerance but it was missing the faint feeling of- Killey suddenly started inching away from the D.I.G member and his opponant from earlier. Naturally, she followed his lead. Even if she didn't understand what was going on, if he did then she wasn't going to be sitting there looking confused and in the line of fire when it actually happened. The D.I.G. member from earlier cleared his throat and said loudly to Zarran, "Sir, nothing really happened. Just a little sparing match," he quickly glanced meaningfully at his opponant. "So, uh, can we all go?" |

As he turned to walk away, he heard the man mutter the word "Bastard". He sent off a small nano bot in the mans direction, and smirked as he heard a yell of supprise. As he walked along the corridor, he thought <Damn it! It's been ten years. I swore he'd be dead by now.> Unfortunatly, Dies was near by. |

Dies usually moved about while he meditated. He found that staying in the same place was extremely limiting, and part of his training was feeling out for other people's thoughts. He found himself drawn back towards the bar, to see if the mercenary had sorted out the fight yet, but also, because he swore to himself that he would need a strong drink if he ever met his sister again. But as he was going along one corridor, he felt Zarran coming from around the corner. His thoughts were very interesting at this point, he was thinking "Damn it! It's been ten years. I swore he'd be dead by now." Dies was intrigued, and he zoomed around the corner, straight into his boss, and said "Who did you swear would be dead?" |

((Guess Ophelia will have to pull a wicked awesome move, then. XD)) If these birds keep after me, then there's really no point in trying to hide...But I can't just kill them... Exo thought as she grabbed all the birds, squeezed them so their wings wouldn't work, at least, for a little while. Then, she threw them to another tree and kept running, swiftly and silently. She caught up to Ophelia easily. |

Exo stopped abruptly, realizing Ophelia was no longer ahead of her. Confused, she turned back around, leaping back through the trees. She tried to see where Ophelia went. She went back, then forward. Where did she go? she thought. Then, she decided the best thing to do was to stop for a moment and scan the area. A few buildings...Several alleyways...Yes, an alleyway would make sense. That way I can't follow her. Clever. But which one did she go into? And do they lead anywhere? Would she pop out the other side or would she come back now that I'm thrown off her trail? Hm...That's one smart girl. Maybe she would be okay without me. Perhaps I'm just slowing her down? Then she noticed a figure resembling Ophelia's come out from an alleyway and start running on the same course they just were going. She ran through the treetops after it. ((I dunno whether this should be Ophelia or a new character. XD I'll let yuzikichan decide.)) |

Wow, she really is starting to run out of ideas, Exo thought as she ran right at Ophelia's heels. She should know it takes more than a shove to even come close to throwing me off...Maybe she isn't running out of ideas, maybe she's trying to warn me. This is the best training I've had in a long time. That is just appalling. This isn't training. This is her looking for her family, and you have the gall to think that this is merely training! Shame on you. |

Ophelia continued to run and she led Exo back to where Steel was. She burst in and ran down the hallways. Meanwhile, back the Alley way, another Ophelia came out. "I think she fell for it." she said quietly. She drew herself another bike and continued to her destination. After some time, she finally arrived; the enemy's territory. |

((Nice!)) Exo chased Ophelia, but then realized, too late, that they were heading back to the base. What?! Where did the real Ophelia go? Exo asked herself. She wanted to break away and find Ophelia, but she knew that was not possible. Not only was she unable to retrace her steps, but even if she managed to, there would be no way to know which direction she headed after disappearing down the alley. Maybe Jacob could help. Besides, I've been wanting to see Steel... But she could be in danger. For all you know, she could have headed right into the belly of the beast. If she got hurt, how would you forgive yourself? She obviously didn't want you to follow her in the first place. Why should you care? Because she's a friend. You barely know her! But she's still a valuable partner... "Shut up!" Exo shouted to no one in particular. |

Dies Laughed, "No. I don't. But if you want someone dead, I'm sure you, with all your skill and strength could do it easily. Sir." He was clearly mocking his boss, and he knew that he would pay for it, but it felt good to get some of his anger off of his chest. |

Aria blinked her eyes open, finding quite a few Jacobs holding onto her. Blushign at how close he was, Aria stood as he helped her up, grateful for the darkness. She stretched her body experimentally. It was very sore, but she didn't think anything was broken. She smiled thankfully at Jacob. "Hot chocolate would be brilliant." |

Zarran smirked, although he was fuming inside. He was in no mood to banter with him, and Dies was obviously not as smart as he seemed. Zarran made a mental note to keep an eye on him. |

Dies could tell that Zarran was angry inside, and he wanted to keep his job, so he said "goodbye" and sped off towards the bar, where he sat down and ordered a vodka, the first drink he had had in 12 years, but he needed something strong. |

Carmen: ~Rest Area, Bar~ Carmen didn't need to be a telepath or a clairvoyant to foresee the events after Zarran's departure. She grunted as she grabbed one of the pieces of one of the broken tables and tossed it into the appointed 'trash' pile. At least they were almost done. The moment Zarran stepped outside and before anyone could make a break for it Sam, the bar tender, had laid down the iron law and informed everyone they either cleaned up or the bar would be closed for the remainder of the week. And by everyone, he said, he meant that they better make sure their fellow inmates didn't run off. The D.I.G. who had started the mess had asked to go to the infirmary but the rest of the bar didn't feel sympathetic about his 'pain'. Luckily, a good chunk of bar wanted to see how the game was going to end and worked quick to get the TV turned back on. The clean up was finished in slightly less then twenty minutes and soon enough, the energy of the bar was back to it's usual sleepy atmosphere with it's people back in their cups and fever-ant betting over the game. Predictably, that's when people started filtering back into the bar. "Want another one?" Carmen asked Killey, after they settled back to their stools. "I'll pay." Killey looked at his with faux-shock. "Well, isn't that the tenth wonder of the world." "Bite me. Do you want it or not?" "As tempting as it is I'll have to pick sleep over liquor for now." "You sure? I might not be feeling charitable next time." "I'm devastated. Trust me." Carmen snorted. "You never do change, do you?" He nodded with an absent smile, a shade of his usual one. "Yes, I believe we went over this earlier." "Uh huh...so, what were you saying before the fight broke out?" "Nothing really," he said evasively. "That's a bull. Whatever you have to say, just say it or you shouldn't have brought it up at all." "All I was going to say was that you've changed since you left S.A.R.D," Killey said. When she raised an eyebrow at him he said slowly, "Your eyes have changed." Carmen gave him a puzzled look. "What's that supposed to mean?" "When I took you into S.A.R.D, I made your eyes a killer's. Now that you're in D.I.G. they're a butcher's." Butcher. That word instantly zapped away any semblance of calm she had managed to build up and left her with a cold feeling. It wasn't that this was a curse spat by one of the people she went to work on, it was that it was from one of the few people she could say she honestly liked and respected. And now he was simply walking away after dumping those words on her. Very deliberately, she lowered her mental shield. He was almost at the door but she knew he'd hear her loud and clear when she thought, You would know that. You're the one who helped make me both. He kept walking without pause. |

Dies had heard the entire conversation between Carmen and her friend, and he knew what she had just thought. they were both sat at the bar, and Dies had wanted an opportunity to talk to her. "It is always human nature to judge people by their eyes" he said to her "And that is why most humans make innacurate judgements. The best way to find out about someone is to look at their souls." |

Carmen: ~Rest area, bar~ The voice beside her surprised her. She turned to the psychic with the initial instinct to snap at him to mind his own business but at the last moment she resisted. She was pissed but it didn't mean she had a license to throw it around. "Maybe, but eyes are supposed to be the window to the soul or something like that," she answered. "Not that the Legion leaves much of a 'soul' to begin with." |
