They both grabbed hold of the teleporter, and suddenly, they were somewhere else. It was perfect, they had landed exactly where he wanted. It was a city. Above them were the flying cars and plush offices of the rich, but they were at street level, in the slums. The poverty and the squalor that they didn't put in the tourist guides, they pretended it didn't exist, but it did. People died in their own filth everyday, and the people above didn't care. It was this kind of thing that had made him the twisted person he was today. "Come on" he said, and they started to move down the street. It stank of urine and sewage. He could see beggars in boxes, sheltering from the driving rain. He could see red lights in windows, and signs offering hand relief for 5 dollars. He could seee men on the street corners, plying their "medicinal" substances to expectant addicts. "What do you think?" he asked Aria. |

Aria blinked, the smell making her eyes water. "It's...terrible.." She placed a hand over her mouth, appalled. The other was still in Dies'. |

Aria looked around at the poverty and shook her head solemnly. "I would remember if I'd -" She froze, and a lance of pain sliced through her mind again. She fell to her knees on the filthy ground. "Why..." she grunted through gritted teeth. "Why...won't it let me....remember..ANYTHING?!" She had her eyes screwed shut, but if they had been open, Aria would have seen that wind that suddenly pulsed out from her, knocking everyone around her to the ground. "Dies..." she sobbed, clutching her head. "Help me..." |

People were staring at them as they walked by. "Come on,we're nearly there, let's just keep going, then I will help you." They finally reached an abandoned apartment building, which Dies broke into easily, and then they started to go up the stairs. It had been years, but Dies remembered it as if it was yesterday. They went right up to the 9th floor, and entered room 93. Inside, there was nothing exept thebare floorboards, but it was all so familiar. "You must remember this!" he said. |

The memories came flooding out and she staggered backwards as if she had been dealt a physical blow. She looked at Dies, and felt the odd feeling of hate again, but this time she could put a name to the feeling. Betrayal "..Dies?" |

((I'll post for Exo)) Dies collapsed on the floor and for the first time since his parents died he shed tears. "I'm so sorry!" he wailed "It's my fault! It's all my fault! After mother and father died, and I lost you, I thought you were dead! You were the only person that I ever cared about, and when you came back, I was scared, because I thought you would ruin my life. That's why I tried to kill you. I'm sorry!" |

Exo couldn't believe that Aria had gone with Dies, she knew that she was meant to stay and help Jacob, but this was more important, Aria's life was in danger. She took her personal teleporter, and pushed a button on it. whenever she pushed that button, it tracked the signal of the most recent Teleport in the local area. She found where they had gone, and teleported quickly. Suddenly, she was in the middle of a large, rainy, dirty, city. |

Exo went up to a shifty man on the street corner. "Excuse me." she said "Have you seen a man in a hood and a woman with spiky black hair" the man pointed her in the right direction, and she moved on. She continued to ask people, until she got to a large abandoned apartment building. Slowly, she started to move up the stairs. She went up eight floors, when she heard crying from the floor above. She went up, and found the door to the room where the crying was coming from. She burst in, and saw Dies on the floor, and strangely, Aria had her arm around him. "Aria, get away from him!" she shouted. |

Startled, Aria let out a short burst of wind, pinning Exo to the wall. "Oh, Exo!" Aria released the wind and stood, pulling Dies up with her. "No, it's okay!" |

Dies looked up at Exo and said in a pathetic voice "No, please" Exo ignored Dies, and withdrew a gun, which she hardly ever used. "I'm warning you Aria, get away from him." |

"N-n-n-no. He can't be Aria. He's evil. He worked for the Legions! He'll kill us all, Aria. AND YOU WOULD LET HIM DO IT!" She was screaming the last few words. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. It was impossible. Dies continued to cry uncontrollably. He was responsible for all of this. For the first time ever, he realised to consequences of his actions. What if he had succeeded in killing Steel? He would have ruined Exo's life. She would always be the one that betrayed her friend for no obvious reason, and he would have let that happen for his own selfish pleasure. "I'M SORRY!" he wailed out. "NO!" shouted Exo "I don't want to hear your crocodile tears! They're all a trick! You're going to try and kill us both. I don't care about your false apologies! I hate you!" Exo was shocked with herself, she had never said anything like this before, and she hardly knew Dies. But she knew enough. He was pure evil. |

"EXO!" Aria shouted, losing her temper. He voice magnified on wind, and Exo was flung against the wall yet again, but this time with more force so she slammed into the wall. She clutched Dies almost hysterically. "He's not evil, Exo! He...you don't know what he's BEEN THROUGH!" |

But I can see now that I was wrong!" Exo picked herself up off of the ground, and said "And when he is inside your brain, controlling your every move, don't come crawling back to me. I really cared about your safety Aria, but if you're going to stay with him, I can't be around to watch." Then she turned around and walked straight out of the door. Dies looked around at Aria, and said "Go after her, I'll be fine." |

((Taking over. Thanks, Figaro. I think I can start posting on this thing now. I realized as soon as I was done editing that you already posted, so I undid my edit. I liked yours better. :D)) What's wrong with you?! Exo thought. Nothing, just... You're leaving Aria alone...With a killer. She won't listen to reason... She could be possessed! And you left the battle to come over and talk some sense into her! What will you tell everyone when she winds up dead?! Huh? But she won't listen... Even so, you need to go back and help her! She wasn't there when he tried to make you kill Steel. She has not seen all the things he's done. Go back before it's too late. She'll just attack me again... So? It's not like it hurts. We all have a choice, remember? Exo sighed. She knew what the right thing to do was, but she was having difficulty doing it. She turned back around. She knew there was no real reason not to try again. She marched back inside the building, and saw Aria and Dies again. She didn't pull out her weapons. That wouldn't help her cause. "Aria," she said. "I can't let you do this to yourself." It looked like Aria had been crying. At least, was recently close to it. "I can't let you be here alone. With him. Not...Not after..." She was quickly losing her resolve. She cleared her throat. "You don't understand...You weren't there when he..." Her face paled at the memory. "I can't let him do that to you..." she mumbled weakly. She didn't realize what she was interrupting. |

Dies knew that this was all his fault, so he rose up, and said "I don't know what I can say to make you believe this, but tonight I have learnt a lot, and I am truly sorry." the tears were still flowing freely down his face, "I know why you hate me. At the moment, I hate me. I have done so much wrong, and I am sorry." |
