Exo hesitated, considering his words. She was mentally sizing him up. "Dies...I'm sorry. I just can't believe or forgive you. I mean...to try to force someone to kill their best friend...That takes not having a conscience. If you had actually succeeded, then...I would never have forgiven myself. And I wouldn't be able to stop myself from killing you where you stand." She reached for her katana subconsciously, but she didn't grab it. But, Exo...If he wasn't telling the truth, why hasn't he possessed you yet? "You didn't do it only once, either! On the rooftop, you tried doing it again! And you think I'm going to believe that you suddenly have a change of heart? Just like that?! I'm not here for you. I'm here for Aria. I have to make sure she's safe..." Then, Exo had an idea. "If you really have changed, then prove it. We have to go back. We have to help everyone. There are more pressing matters than our relationships right now. The base is in danger, remember?" Exo asked. ((EDIT: Yay! Page 15!)) |

Dies was determined to prove that he was sorry, so he said "Okay. I'll help you. Lets go." And he pulled out his stolen Teleporter. Then he remembered how he had got it, and said, "I'm not going to use this. It's wrong." |

Perhaps he's not going to abuse this chance. You didn't. Exo grinned slightly. "Okay. We'll use mine. Coming, Aria? We could really use your help," Exo said after hesitating. She couldn't explain it, but she felt stronger...Untouchable, even. Perhaps it was because she was starting to trust a former enemy? Careful, Exo. Don't get ahead of yourself. Remember, it's a lot easier to revert back to old habits than it is to do the exact opposite. He can turn on you and Aria at any time still. |

Zarran was now officially confused. Come to think of it, so was Xavil. He said "Well, I now have no idea what the hell happened." His brother shrugged. "Me neither." Xavil sighed "You know, this is the most civil conversation we've had in years." Zarran glared "Don't think that means I forgive you for what you did." Not noticing Aria, Exo, And Dies come back, Xavil grinned and said "I can't forgive you for being an evil villian either, but that doesn't mean I don't still love my little brother." They turned around when they heard a gasp. |

Aria smiled, the tears coming back as she ran to hug Exo. She leaned close to her ear to whisper to her. "I'm sorry I attacked you, Exo. I've remembered everything, and I know what an amazing friend you are, so even accepting my little brother the tiniest bit means so much to me." She squeezed Exo before stepping back and smiling at her, tears glistening in her eyes. She turned to Dies. "Let's go." |

Exo awkwardly hugged Aria back. "I'm sorry I attacked you, Exo. I've remembered everything, and I know what an amazing friend you are. so even accepting my brother the tiniest bit means so much to me," she whispered in Exo's hear. Exo didn't know how to respond as Aria squeezed her before stepping back. Just when Exo got up her nerve to say something, Aria smiled, tears in her eyes. It was the first time Exo saw her smile like that. Her mouth hung open, but she didn't say anything. She felt a sense of accomplishment. Aria's smile was proof that Exo had done the right thing. All she could think to do was smile back. "Let's go," Aria said. Exo jerked out of her little trance. "So, we're all ready?" she asked, pulling out her teleporter. "Then grab on." |

Dies let out a small pathetic "Yeah" then suddenly, he couldn't believe that he was seeing him again, Zarran Sly was right in front of him, talking to Xavil, who was saying "I can't forgive you for being an evil villian either, but that doesn't mean I don't still love my little brother." |

Seeing that they had arrived right next to the villains, Aria promptly grabbed Exo's arm and rolled off the side of the roof, pulling Exo with her into a freefall before she stopped them about two metres above the ground and letting them drop. |

"Thanks, Aria," Exo said as she landed. She looked at Dies, trying to predict what he would do before she ran towards Jacob and Zarran. "Guys," she said, slashing zombies with her katana. "We need a plan. Just killing them one at a time won't be enough." She had no clue what they were doing before they had arrived, but she knew they needed to get rid off all the zombies before it was too late. ((Yes, Exo needs to ruin every heart-to-heart. :D)) |

Why are they ignoring me? Exo thought. Do they not know that killing zombies is the most urgent thing right now? Meh. I'll let Aria and Dies answer. Right now, I need to come up with some sort of strategy. Wait. What does Zarran do? Gr...I'll find out later. Let's see...I don't want Dies to have to possess anything. That'll just make it easier for him to revert back to his old ways, which will already be difficult to avoid... She kept slashing as she thought. |

"Erm..." Exo said. She had no clue what Jacob was talking about. "Then, whatever you'd like to be called. ...Xavil. We need you to do this for us. For all of us. Including you." What she just said made no sense even to her, but she just felt she had to say something like that. If Zarran had never said that name while looking at Jacob, Exo wouldn't have known that was his name. His "new" name. She cut through several zombies, but was rapidly losing her energy. |

Xavil Sighed. Concentrating, he focused on pushing back the zombies, and multiplied 10 fold. They all started slashing at the zombies, herding them towards the mountains. |

Dies was being swarmed by zombies, but with one quick impulse he sent about a hundred of them flying up into the ari, and made them land on Zarran. It would serve that damn coward right. |

"Dies! No!" Exo shouted. She dashed back to Zarran, slashing the zombies as they fell and knocking them away from him with her katana. "Right now, we have to work together. What's the point in clearing a path for Zarran if he can't move?" I should have seen this coming. I just hope Zarran won't try getting revenge. We all need to work together, despite what conflicts we've had in the past. That we still have now, even. I mean, this guy is the leader of the Legions. If we kill him, they probably wouldn't crumble, but it would at least slow down any plans they had and give us more time to strategize. But we can't afford to fight yet. Wait until after we get rid of these things. I think the last thing any of us want is to have a zombie Zarran on our hands. |

Dies felt everything that Exo thought and he sent back a telepathic message to her. "Jesus Exo! I can't work with Zarran again, no matter what the circumstances. I thought I had finally given that up!" |

...I'm sorry, Dies. We need him right now. You'll have plenty of time to mess with him later, Exo thought. Or do you not want Zarran to die without coming back to life an hour later? Because that's what would have happened if any of those zombies got to him. |

At least it would mean I could kill him twice But Dies knew she was right, so instead of lifting up whole zombies, he decided to lift off their heads. He did it quickly at first, but then he started to go slower, savouring each head as he ripped it from its body. He knew that this kind of bloodlust would lead him back where he came from, but he couldn't help himself. In one of his saner moments, he connected with Exo and thought 'HELP ME!' |

Drat! Exo thought. She did the one thing she could: break Dies's concentration! "Dies!" she shouted, since she didn't want to attack him unless it was her only option. "I love you!" She waited for him to react before deciding her next course of action. |

"Uh..." I can't believe you just said that! Idiot! Now think of something fast before he starts going on a killing spree! Exo blushed, aware that everyone ((probably)) was staring at her. "I mean..." Think of something. Anything. "I love you," she said quieter. It wasn't true. It was just to get him to stop. Or was it? She felt her heart beating twice as fast as it did before, and was aware her pupils were dilating. She blushed even deeper as she realized that. Of course, this whole thing was really crazy. She couldn't love Dies. She wasn't even sure if she liked him. As she thought, she automatically killed every zombie that came near her. If it's not love, then what do I feel? |

Aria flicked her attention from Exo to Dies repeatedly in quick succession before her face split into a huge grin. "Exo....." She wolf whistled teasingly, throwing a zombie into the air. |

Dies didn't blush. He didn't feel embarrased. He didn't know what to think. Was he being lied to? They must be lies, she had said only recently that she hated him! Besides, he was a weird hooded figure with no legs. That was not the kind of thing to attract positive attention, but he couldn't think about it much more because the Zombies were fast approaching. He didn't want to get carried away again, so he had to act quickly. he lifted every single zombie into the air, but the effort was very tiring, so he yelled out, "QUICK! ATTACK WHILE I CAN STILL HOLD THEM!" |

Going out on a limb, Aria turned towards the mass of zombies and clapped her hands, magnifying the wind created so that it blew them all with shattering strength into the nearest building. She grinned and blew her hands as if they were guns. "I'm getting good at this aren't I, lovebirds?" |

Exo sighed with relief after blushing from embarrassment at Aria's teasing. He probably knew she wasn't serious, but at least she had given him the distraction he needed. Now he was holding all the zombies in the air, and she could see the strain on his face. She decided right then that perhaps she didn't feel love at all. She was probably just intrigued by this man who could do so much good if he really put his mind to it. I'll help him change however I can, she thought. With Aria's help, I could stop him from reverting back to his old ways now that we both know the one thing that can stop him. If we distract him when he's about to do something wrong, then eventually he'll stop. Strategies like that come at the weirdest times, Exo noted before slashing clean through 10 zombies at once. "Uh...Yeah, you're pretty good," Exo replied. I'll have to tell her the truth later. Right now she's having the time of her life. |

As more zombies got killed, Dies found it easier to hold them, until he could start helping. He didn't look as he ripped the zombies in two, He was worried that he would enjoy it. Soon, there were only a few left. "Yes, almost done!" he called out. |

Zarran dodged the falling zobmies. With a sigh, he realized everyone had it under control. And that Dies was in a bloodlust. "Sheesh" He thought to himself "This is the thanks I get for saving him." As the last zombies fell, Xavil reformed. With a sigh, he dusted himself off, and looked around. Aria seemed to be teasing Exo and Dies about something. She had her hand on his shoulder. He scowled, resisting the urge to punch his face in. Dies was one of the enemy! ((If we keep doing this, we're gonna end up with a love V)) He looked around. Steel was still up in HQ, and Ophelia was......Leaving? He blinked. That was right. Ophelia, Carmen, Shadow and Xavier were all leaving through a portal. He rushed to Zarran, The last person to enter the portal. "Hey, look, Thanks. For, you know. Helping.....us."He said weakly. Zarran growled and jerked his arm out of Xavil's grasp. "I didn't do this for you." He spat. "Why do you insist that I'm doing this for to help you? What makes you think I'm anything like what I used to be? Do I have to spell it out for you? I. AM. NOT. A. GOOD. PERSON" Xavil winced "But you could, Zar. I know you better than anyone." "I know. I could be good, but for that to happen, you'd have to be the bad guy. And even then, probably not." With that, Zarran turned and walked into the portal. |

"Thanks, Zarran...Dies," Exo said, looking at each if them in turn. Then, Zarran and the enemies started warping away, along with... "Ophelia!" Exo shouted. She ran towards the portal, but it was too late. They all disappeared. Oh, fiddlesticks! she thought as she knelt on the ground. It was then she realized just how tired she was. Even though she willed herself with all her might to get up, she couldn't. Her eyes were getting incredibly heavy. Then, she thought of something. She had to make sure Steel was still okay. She shakily got back up. "Um...Jacob...Xavil...I was thinking...Um...If Dies wants to, perhaps he could join us? I mean, that way it will be easier for us to keep him in check, and..." she realized she could barely form a coherent sentence. "Stuff. Think about it." She walked away, towards the base, and the hospital inside. ((Could turn into a love W. ^^)) |
