This is an RP based on the TTGL universe. This RP will take place parallel to the events of episodes 1-16 (before Kamina City). You will start off just exiting your village, unaware of what's going on. You can bring a weapon with you, and you can start off with someone else, presuming they're ok with it. You can be either a human or a beastman, and if you're a beastman, you can have you're own custom Ganmen. If you start off as a human, you can RP defeating a beastman, and taking his Ganmen, or finding an abandoned Ganmen. (No Canon Ganmen, with the exeption of the generic ones.)

Backstory:
Gurren Lagann takes place in a fictional future in which human beings have been forced under Earth's surface and live in isolated subterranean civilizations. These "villages" have no contact with the surface world or other villages. The surface world is patrolled by large robots called Ganmen, Ganmen are large bipedal robots with two arms and a large face on it's stomach. Some Ganmen have the ability to combine to form stronger Ganmen. Ganmen are piloted by Beastmen which are human/animal hybrids. Beastmen hate humans, and kill any humans they see on the surface.

Gunmen (Ganmen in japanese) are the type of mecha used in the series. The name itself means "huge face" and can be broken down into "gun" and "man"; the mecha themselves are centered around faces. Gunmen sport a variety of weaponry: primitive models use large clubs or bare hands, while advanced units use solid or beam weapons. Gunmen powered by the "Spiral Energy" inherent in humans' DNA are more powerful than those piloted by Beastmen. The voice broadcaster within each Gunman is linked to the mouth, making it seem as though it is talking.

Well... Anyway... Starting post I guess...))

Davie awakened outside, the heat was making him sweat... He slowly opened his eyes, seeing a couple of wierd-looking bird/ferrat things around him. They all quickly dispersed when he took up, his katana laying next to him. He looked around, almost forgetting where he was going, until he checked his pocket. He pulled out a small piece of parchment, with the words "Go where your heart takes you" written on it.

"The hell's that supposed to mean...?" Davie thought out loud. He put it back in his pocket, dawned his cloak, strapped his katana to his back and began walking, hoping to find something other than bones and animals for once...

((Can I join? I'm actually shocked this RP is on the second page. Are we allowed to have canon characters as best friends?

Personality: Very confident, usually optimistic, lives in Jiiha Village, with her friends, Kamina and Simon. (if you allow it)
Weapon: None, just a drill, as she works in the mines with Simon.))

Amy opened her eyes, as she looked up towards the ceiling of her village, Jiiha. It was broken open, as a Ganmen had recently broken through and landed in their village. She looked up in awe, then down at the Ganmen that was on the floor, unconcious. Her mouth was in a perfect O shape, as she stared with awe. The Ganmen was small, and red.

"Kamina? What's that?" Amy said, pointing at it. She looked back at Kamina, waiting for an answer. Simon was stuttering a lot, trying to speak, but couldn't from the shock. Kamina was looking eagerly at the robot-thing. Clearly, he was thinking of a plan in his head. Amy had seen that face many a time.
