The Setting
The shop is called 'Armand's Blend' (crap name I know) and is a fairly new cofee shop. The shop is quite small and the owner Armand is the only member of staff. There's a counter where you can order a selection of nice cakes and a good few blends of cofee. The seating area has 2 rough looking couches with some tables for a large group of freinds and a good few tables where couples and loners can sit. There are plug sockets and an internet conection so customers can browse the internet or do there work whilst having a cup of joe. Armand has advertised for new members of staff in the local paper and on the internet so your character can walk in looking for a job serving coffee if you so choose. This roleplay is set just before Trials and Triabulations case 2.
The rules
The usual ones, like don't make your posts too short if you can help it... You can be your oc's or you can play as a character from the ace attorney world (I'm hoping to see Godot somewhere in the shop.) and you can play up to 2 characters. Any more and I think it would be hard to manage. I personally will be playing 2 charaters. The owner Armand and a customer called Jack. Here are their profiles...

Armand sat by the sink behind the bar, cleaning a coffee cup. His buisness was getting off to a good start. Last week he made quite a bit of money and he could only see good things for his place. That's why he decided to advertise a job for some staff. I mean things could only get better from here! The shop was empty except for the one guy with the long hair on his laptop but that was ok. Buisness here was always slow in the morning.

"Ten cups of coffee, please," Godot said, slamming his money on the counter in front of Armand. He then turned to see if anyone else was there. Seeing that there was, some guy with long hair, he turned to Armand. "I'll be sitting right there." He sat down at the nearest table and pulled out a newspaper.

Jack looked up from his laptop to see what the commotion was as Godot made his dramatic entrance. He looked at his suit. He appreciated a good style of fashion. He laughed lightly as Godot shouted his order. "Someone suffering from caffeine withdrawal." He said under his breath with a smile. He said it as if he didn't want to be heard but a part of him wanted to be heard.

Jack looked startled as Godot retaliated his comment. "Oh nothing nothing..." He smirked as he got up with his empty cup and walked towards the counter. He placed it down and turned to look at Godot. "Well I thought your entrance was a little too... You know dramatic." He said. "I'm not used to people just walking in with such a slam of the door." He turned to the busy owner. "Can I get another one please." He asked him pointing at his empty mug.
"Sure." Armand replied. "Another mocha?"
"Narr..." He said. "Give it me black, like his." He pointed at Godot.

Armand had finished pouring the 11 cups of black coffee and he passed one cup to Jack on the counter and he put 5 of the cups on a tray and carefully carried it to Godot's table. He then went back to the bar to get the next 5.
"Thanks." Jack said to Armand as he took a gulp of his coffee. He resisted the urge to cringe at the bitter taste and burning sensation in his mouth as he placed it down on the counter again. "Well you'd be suprised what you can see in people's entrance's into rooms." He began to explain. "Your angry about something, that's clear as day. I think your angry with someone inpaticular. The fact you ordered 10 coffee's may suggest that you use caffeine as a coping mechanisim. That's not healthy you know."

"Thank you," Godot said, taking the first cup of coffee and chugging it down. As he was finishing his third cup, Jack finished explaining what he gathered.
"Unhealthy?" he asked, grabbing the fourth cup and throwing it at Jack. "Now, that's unhealthy." He smirked as he shook his head and drank more coffee.

Randolph walked into the bar. As he entered he took a whiff of the familiar and welcoming smell of the cafe. He approached the counter and turned toward Armand. He spoke.
"Morning Armand, just the usual please(french vannila)." he said as he pulled out his wallet.

Maya had been hanging out with Nick, but he apparently had something he needed to do. He gave her ten bucks after some begging, so she could get some food. Yawning, she noticed a new place and licked her lips. "Oh, that place looks new, maybe they sell hamburgers." She rushed off into the place and notice Godot, and the smell of bitter coffee.
"Of course, he probably just sits in here and drinks coffee all the time. Hm?" She looked down as her stomach growled. Taking a moment to decide, she looked around. "Hey, what do you sell here?"

As if on cue, Larry Butz entered the coffee shop. Maya's here. Haha! She has no clue that I followed her.
"Yo, Maya," he said. "You wouldn't happen to know where Nick is, wouldja?" He walked over to Armand. "Maybe we can discuss over coffee. Yo, waiter manager dude, I'll take the two most romantic cups of coffee you got, okay?" He stuck his thumbs up before turning back to Maya. "Where would you like to sit?"

Slowing down as he noticed that he was getting near the end of his run, Godot placed the ninth empty cup down, adopting a secret grin as he picked up the tenth.
"Now it's starting to hit the spot," Godot hummed, finally adopting a calmer disposition, an unusual stance for someone that had just drunk so much coffee. Turning to Jack, Godot leaned over, taking a sip of his cup, his senses now attuned to the fragrance of dark coffee.
"You know," Godot started, "You can always tell the type of man by the type of beverage they drink. I have never met a man that drank black coffee that wasn't cynical." Taking in a deep breath of the scent of the drink, Godot paused as if to feel the vide of the caffeine on his nostril, "Black coffee is the legal man's escape from reality. The more we drink, the more evils we don't wish to see." Pressing the cup to his lips, Godot took a lengthy scull of the tenth cup. Placing the mug on his lips as he stopped drinking, Godot smiled to himself, "I wonder what that says about me..."
((I'm not sure how to kick off a convo here? Is this RP going to be the characters kicking back for a coffee and that's it? Or is events going to happen?))

Jack ducked and narrowly avoided Godot's cup and a scolded face. Armand watched as the cofee bomb hit his wall, splashing coffee everywhere. Armand glared at Godot. "Do you mind not throwing coffee at my wall mate!" He bellowed revealing a scouser accent. He picked up a clouth and then started to clean his now coffee stained wall, cursing under his breath. Jack however just laughed at Godot's reaction. "Wow you really are something aren't you?" He grinned as he took a sip at his coffee.
When Armand heared Randolth's voice he gave up cleaning for a moment and stood up. "Sure thing Randolth." He said as he found the french vanila coffee beans next to the till which he left waiting for Randolth's entrance. He liked Randoth. He was very polite for his age. "How's college?" He asked him. When the chirpy girl in the odd clouths walked in Armand giggled a little. "You just walk in from the 1970's miss?" He laughed. When she asked him what he sold he pointed at Jack and Godot. "Coffee. All kinds of it. But we also sell a good few cakes." He said pointed at the glass display below him. As he started to make the french vanila, Larry wandered in. He thought he would humour the 'wannabee fonz'. "What sort of coffee would you like sir? An iced mocah for a cool guy like yourself? And what about you miss? You want a piece of chocolate cake and a nice warm caramel syrup cofee? I'm good at making those."
Jack smiled as Godot said his speach. "So your a lawyer huh?" He asked. "A prosecutor I assume. You havn't got a defense attorney's badge on." He said pointing at his suit. Jack then took a sip of his coffee trying to resist spitting it out. "I was a prosecutor a few years ago. Hell I was a good one. But I did something really stupid which finished me." He closed his shining eyes thinking of his idiotic past. "But I never used a beverage to block out my past. I faced up and tried to do something about it." Jack finished his coffee in one mighty swallow and slammed his empty cup down next to the nine of Godot's. "But your right you can tell alot about a man from his choice of drink and to be honest I'm more of an latte man."

"A cool guy? Me? Aw, shucks," he said to Armand. Then, Maya started flirting with him and he just couldn't resist. "Of course I'll pay for you, Maya. One iced mocha and one chocolate cake with caramel syrup coffee, please, dude." He grabbed Maya by the hand and took her to the nearest booth. "Man, how long has it been since we've seen each other without Nick's influence?"

Finally finished his cup of black coffee, Godot placed the empty mug back onto the table before him, and gave his back a good stretch,

Adopting a sneer at the tone Jack held near the end there, Godot felt his nostrils flare. Fool, if only you knew the truth. I hardly think that you faced the devil himself for the woman that you loved.
"Latte," Godot chuckled, spinning his empty cup in loose circles in his finger tips, "Heh, no wonder you face the darkness with gritted teeth. It'd be like a cold shower in the morning to you." Glancing away, Godot frowned, "If you'd been through the bitter depths of hell too, you'd find the bitterness of caffeine a refreshing taste. Armand! I need another..." Noticing Maya a little down beside him, a pleasant smile appeared on his face, "Miss Fey, It's unusual to see this little kitten stay so far way from her caregiver. May I buy you a drink?"
((Wow- Godot is REALLY difficult to fully get in character with. I may take a few posts to warm up O.o ))

"My favorite cup, kitten?" Godot asked in interest, "I don't think you'll like the taste of my brew any more than my latte drinking friend here." Pondering for a moment, it wouldn't hurt her trying a strong drink to see if she liked it, "I have a better idea. Armand, an Affogatofor the young lady if you could." Glancing back to Maya, Godot gave her a kind smile, "This drink should be more to a Kitten's taste.”

Armand found a large grin when Maya and Larry seemed enthusiastic about his job offer. "You don't have to work straight away but the sooner you start, the sooner you get paid." Armand told Larry and Maya when Larry asked about when he should start. "Just say when and I'll get you an apron. I'm Armand by the way if you haven't heard yet."
"Armand, an Affogato for the young lady if you could."
"Ahh. A good choice for her." Armand said agreeing with Godot. "You certainly know your coffee's sir." He walked behind the counter and opened a freezer to get some ice cream. "How many coffee's do you want this time?"
Jack suddenly frowned at Godot when he insinuated that Hallows hadn't suffered. "You should know that everyone involved in the law has their baggage to carry!" He said through the grit of his teeth. He paused a moment putting his empty cup on Armand's counter. He the walked behind Godot and spoke. "Were not too different me and you know Mr. Armando. Mia knew that as well." Jack smiled as he said the name Mia. He knew the man behind that spooky mask would respond to the name 'Mia'. He started to walk back to his laptop.

"Talk to my face when you mention that name, Latte," Godot growled, his suddenly tense fingers tapping the table top before him. How on earth this man knew his true identity, he didn't know, but he sure as heck was going to find out. Grabbing Jack's arm as he turned to leave, Godot's grip was tight, his lips starting to part to show his teeth. Jack would have bruise marks on his arm soon. Forcing Jack to sit back down into his seat, Godot turned to him, tearing his hand away angrily, "OK, you wanted my attention, and now you have it. How do you know who I am?"
((How DOES he know? O.o That's not exactly something Mia would gossip about to the world... and why isn't he near his laptop? O.o ))

After a long moment of staring in the mirror, she grabbed a paper towel and dried her face. It was very unusual for her to be in this position. No one besides her and Nick ever spoke of Mia, and that was very rare, because Phoenix was way too hard to talk to about her. She walked out of the restroom, bowing as she got into view. "S-Sorry for yelling..I didn't mean to announce it.." She didn't feel like talking about her sister, so she sat back down.
She took her cake back and took a bite, then sipped some of her coffee. She really wanted some hamburgers now. "Please! Don't talk about Mia Fey. I don't think it's an appropriate topic, talking about the dead.." She knew Mia's spirit was alive, but she wanted the conversation to end. Smiling, she returned her gaze to Larry. "Thank you for coming here, Larry~"

Larry was barely aware of the world around him as he glared at Godot as intimidatingly as he could manage. But the man just ignored him! Larry supposed he never was good at being intimidating. Edgey, however...He always was able to pull of the glare as if he was a pro. He snapped back to reality when Maya said, "Thanks for coming, Larry~"
Larry bit back the things he wanted to say and smiled. It's not her fault that that guy is sexy and cool. It's not her fault that any sane woman would choose him over me any day of the week.
"No problem, Maya," he lied as he got up. "On second thought, Armand, dude, you probably wouldn't want me to work here. Not only am I a disgrace, but hiring me is a recipe for murder." Then, he turned back to Maya. "Enjoy your cake and coffee. I'll just be out for some fresh air." He walked through the restaurant doors without even looking back.

"Larry~! ...Please don't leave me in there...Alone..." she said. You wouldn't be alone. You'd have your new, sexy boyfriend. "The man is just a friend of my sister's, okay?" No. Not okay. "Please, come back and spend time with me..." You really don't want me to. I'd just make you as pathetic as I am, and then nobody will ever love you. "You are the coolest guy I've ever met, Larry..." Liar. "I mean it..." Larry couldn't help it. He blushed and shuffled his feet. That girl really knew how to get on his good side. He smiled.
"Larry, I won't make you, but I'd like you to come talk with me." Oh, how could I refuse that? Larry followed Maya back into the cafe.
