This is basically a professor Layton RP, my first (and probably last) RP ever.
This will have to come to an end soon, when we solve the mystery~which I am coming on to.
The mystery goes like this:
(Set before The curious villiage, i dont have pandora's box
)It's set in a small hamlet, like only a few houses and a church. surrounding the hamlet is a large forest. In the villiage, recent sightings of a werewolf have been scaring the villiagers off, and only 7 or so remain. Layton and Luke set out to solve the mystery of the werewolf, only to discover something more than they had bargained for... (DUNDUNDUNNN. Hey, i dont even know what it is, but we'll let everyone decide as we go along. It will be more fun.)

Layton drove along the quaint country road, his companion Luke fast asleep aside him. He chuckled to himself and whistled a merry tune as the countryside flew by him. He was on his way to Pineip villiage, to investiagte this werewolf incident that had been going on. Infact, he really didin't know that much about the incident at all. Layton just thought that he would ask the Mayor when he got to Pineip.
BASH!
The Laytonmobile came to a sharp stop in the road, waking up Luke...

'Oh dear...' Said Layton as he looked at the tire. It was completely flat. A jagged rock lay in the road, almost laughing as Layton frowned and scratched his head. Soon, Luke came out of the car.
'Oh no, what happened?!' asked Luke in shock. Layton smiled and shook his head.
'I believe that sharp rock has caused a puncture in this tire.' Said Layton, gentley tapping the tire with his foot. But the Laytonmobile was very old, so the tire dislodged itself and rolled into a pile of stingers and brambles.
'We have the spare, but it's no use without the nuts to hold it on. We'll have to walk.' Luke said, groaning.
'Not so fast, my boy. There is one way we can solve this...puzzle.

Luke scratched his chin.
"Well...", he said. "We don't have the nuts for the spare wheel..."
Suddenly, he snapped his fingers, and excclaimed:
"Wait, I got it! What about you take 1 nut from each of the other 3 wheels and use them with the spare one? That would leave the other 3 wheels with 3 nuts each, and the spare one with 3, too!"

The duo drove for a long while, tree after tree, bush after bush, flower after flower...
'This seems a bit...odd.' Said Layton, scratching his chin.
'How, professor?' Questioned Luke.
'Well, why did the villiagers call us now? why not when someone first saw the werewolf..." Layton said, driving along the road. Then, in the distance, he saw the small town and a group of around 5 people standing near the gates into it...
((People, I'm relying on you to play the villiagers-anyone is welcome, so come on, this was my first roleplay!!))

Luke sat in the passenger's seat of the Laytonmobile, not being able to sleep again. He looked throught the window, while playing with his legs, kicking the air, and listening to the Professor.
"Well...", he said, pausing. "Maybe they just thought it was nothing, some villagers lying, but then realised it was the real deal... Look! We are here!" He pointed at the entrance to the town, where a little group of people stood. When they got there, the Professor stopped the Laytonmobile, and they both stepped down.
"Um, hi.", Luke told the group. "Is this Pineip Villiage?"
((We should need at least 1 or 2 villagers to welcome Layton and Luke. The other 3 or 4 could be extras, I guess?))

Tina was one of the remaining villagers, yet she was only a little girl. She hadn't heard rumors of the werewolf sightings yet, so she spent her time wandering around the little village, eating cookies and thinking up puzzles. Today, she went to the village entrance, looking at the birds and the trees and that tall orange car..."A tall orange car?" she asked no one in particular. She then thought, "Wow, a villager! There haven't been many villagers ever since many of the grown-ups left." Then she saw a man with a tall hat and a boyy in a blue sweater step out of the car. "Um, hi. Is this Pineip Village?" the boy in blue asked. "Yep!" Tina said, giving him and the man a cookie. "I'm Tina! Who are you?"

Layton, as any gentleman would, tipped his hat and introduced himself to the girl, who smiled and introduced herself as Tina. Luke said hello, and as they were about to walk into Pineip, Tina thrusted a letter into Laytons hand.
"From Mayor Hastings." Tina explained, grinning once again.
Layton opened the letter, only to find exactly what he expected. A letter...along with a puzzle.
Dear 'Layton' and 'Luke'
That is, if you are Layton and Luke, which I am about to find out. Enclosed is a puzzle in which you have to solve if you want to enter the villiage. I'm sure a smart man as yourself would be able to do it.

Luke first saw Layton tipping his hat, and he did too, quickly; he then took Tina's cookie, thanking her for it, but not eating it yet.
When Layton was handed the letter, he stepped on his toes, trying to read it, while the Professor did. He realised this, and lowered the letter so that Luke could read too.
"Wow,", he said, after reading it. "Mayor Hastings must really care about who enters the village."
"Luke, see if you can solve this puzzle. It seems easy enough." Layton said, handing Luke the puzzle.
"Right on, Professor!", he said, taking the letter. He read to himself:

Luke read over each thief's statements, and considered the number of true statements, while eating Tina's cookie.
"Well... They could both be lying... Then this would be here just for distraction...", he thought aloud. "... I know! Assuming any of A, C and D is the thief, ther are more, or less, than 4 true statements. The only one that fits with the "exactly 4 true statements" condition is the assumption that B did it!"
((Let's see...
Well, apparently, after checking the solution, I was absolutely right!
Good thing the first I did was assumption, if not I would have taken ages XD))

Flora went back up after getting a free snack from the kind man at the cafe. She went to the ledge and saw, far awaw, a city, with many houses and buildings. She said to herself, "Oh, how I wish I could visit that city someday. Father said its name is London....I hope someone can take me there at least once."

Layton and Luke passed through the gates into Pineip. It was a small little town, and it was not a long walk until they had reached the Manor house. Layton was just about to step in when a man rushed up to them and put his hand up.
"Oh no you don't, outsiders!" He said, stopping them from entering the building. "I'm the...ur...official guard, and I, um....Lucas, will not let you....duh....in! Thats it! In!" Lucas said, folding his arms.

Inspector Chelmey and police officer Barton quietly walk onto the scene. Noticing the commotion, he decides to investigate. "Ah, Xavier. I trust that you received my message?".
((wait... inspector chelmey meets layton and luke for the first time in diabolical box... hmmm....))
Inspector Chelmey starts sneezing and Barton hands him a tissue. "Here you go, Inspector". "Thank you Barton. I'm sorry, I am unable to make your acquaintance right now as I'm running a bit of a cold right now, Xavier, could you please guide me to the nearest hotel? I think I need to lie down."

Xavier has 4 employees, Jane, Lucas, Didi and Chaz. Can you work out what Lucas earns by the following statements Xavier has said?
"All right Jane, you earn 20% more than Chaz, but Chaz, you earn half as much as Didi does. Lucas, the payslash has cut your money to the squared amount of what Didi earns an hour and Didi...you earn £4 an hour!
((BTW, i'm not godmodding by saying what Xaiver says in the puzzle am I? I dont think I am!

Xavier laughed. "£4 an hour. I have to say though... stating the answer in the question, makes a puzzle not. But for an extensive answer, Didi earns £6 an hour, Chaz earns £3 an hour, and in terms of a decimal, Jane earns £3.6 an hour"
"Ah, Xavier. I trust that you received my message?"
Xavier nodded. "Yes, Mr. Chelmey. I did." He smiled softly to the duo and spoke. "I'm afraid I'll have to depart from your meeting with the Mayor, but I think Lucas wouldn't mind showing you forward in my place." He bowed again. "I have a feeling we'll meet again Professor. Ciao!" He turned back to the inspector. "We aren't far from the hotel, luckily. Follow me." He began to walk away from the Manor, down the winding stone street.

After Flora sat down in her sofa for a while, she then walked around the room. Seeing as there was nothing else to do, she then leaned on the wall, sighing. "I miss my mother and father. Lady Dahlia's always been nice to me, but she looks so much like my mother that she creeps me out. Wait, what? What's happening?" she said in surprise because when she leaned on the wall, it moved, revealing a room with a television, radio and microphone. "What's this? I've never seen this part of the tower before..."

Layton and Luke followed Their guide, glancing around at the village. It was nice. Small, perhaps, but very quaint, to say the least. The gang passed along alady waving around a bunch of lollipops.
"It's a full moon tonight, so expect to see some werewolf action! Get a silver lolipop to keep him away!!" She shouted, rather loudly, yet obnoxiously.
"Who's that?" Luke Asked the professor, who shrugged.
"Haven't the foggiest, my dear boy. We can ask Xaiver, Lucas or Tina later. Right now I think it's polite to ask about her when she's...not in earshot, you understand?" Layton whispered to Luke, who nodded merrily.

Luke walked alongside the Professor, as they followed Lucas into the Manor.
He enjoyed the landscape. The village was humble yet beautiful, a somewhat stereotypical view for small countryside villages. But Pineip had its charm, thought Luke couldn't put his finger on what it was. He just ignored that, and kept walking along.
While they went towards the Manor, they passed by a lady behind a stand, holding lollipops in her hands, while waving them. She seemed as she desperately needed to sell those lollipops, but looked happy selling them. Maybe she was really excited about her job, Luke thought. He then saw Tina approaching the lady, and taking a free lollipop.
"We can ask Xaiver, Lucas or Tina later. Right now I think it's polite to ask about her when she's... not in earshot, you understand?", Layton whispered to Luke. He chuckled and nodded.
When they were some meters away from the strange lady's stand, he clicked.
"Wait, Professor, did you hear that?", he asked, stopping. "That lady said 'expect some werewolf action'." He pictured the werewolf running throught a moonlit Pineip. He loved animals, even had a link with them, but the sole thought of a werewolf frightened him.
"Um... We should take care.", Luke said, then stared at the sky. It was quite late, as sunset was beginning. He walked closer to the Professor, and looked frontwards.

"Beats me, smartiepants. Your'e all too clever for me." He said, sighing.
"Tina, two questions. Is Mayor Hastings a gentleman or a Lady? And who is that strange woman selling lollipops? I would love to know." Layton asked her.
'Maybe some questions will take her mind off things, like Xaiver running around everywhere...' He thought.

Tina replied to Layton happily, "Well, the mayor's a woman, and the lollipop lady's name is Miss Lola. She started selling lollipops when many children were still in town, always wanting a snack, and even when most of the people are gone, she still sells them. Then she saw a small TV in Luke's hands. "Oh, what's that?"
Flora was a bit confused at what she saw, for she had never seen any of these items before. She got a peculiar rectangular box, pressed a button and suddenly the large screen on the table crackled, revealing three people, a man in a top hat, a blue-vested boy and a girl younger than her in a blue dress. She then said to herself, "What is this? What's happening in that window-like box? It's like they're staring at me for some reason...."
