Hi, my name is Elias Swift. Some of you may remember when I attempted to do the Call of Cthulhu adventure Beyond the Mountains of Madness here on the forums. And some of you remember how it failed miserably. This was for two reasons, IMO. One: My internet was acting up and I couldn't get on this site. Two: The adventure I used had the characters not knowing each others beforehand, which caused the characters to spend time introducing themselves to each other, thus slowing down the plot and forcing me to mildly railroad everything, and it ended up dying before I could get it going good.

So now I come to you again with yet another RP, with dice, character sheets, and all. This will start with a short adventure, essentually a tutorial mission, called The Haunting, and go on to a much more epic adventure called Horror on the Orient Express.

Rules that are different from link.
1. Instead of multiplying EDU by 15 to get your skill points, multiply EDU by 20.
2. Minimum age is equal to EDU+6. For every 10 years you go above that age, add another point to your EDU.
3. For every 10 years above 40 your character is, subtract one point from STR, APP, DEX, or CON.
4. Your skills have a max of 89, not 75.

Plot

The roaring 20's, a time of mystery, of action, of fun. Men and women hang out at speakeasies, and scientific expeditions go to strange and foreign lands.

The city of Arkham, Massachusetts. A suburb of Boston. There five individuals, five friends, are about to find themselves on a grand adventure. For the world as we know it is a rationalized idea. Men and women see what the want to see, ignore the world behind the veil of their vision. There strange and alien creatures claw at the sanity of those who come across them, be it on purpose or by accident. But for now, these five individuals don't know. But soon all that will change.

In Europe a cult is growing, hunting down a tool that will help or hinder their dark god. And one man stands in their way.
