Your ears catch the sounds of something...you can immediately tell it's not good. The sounds grow louder, and you hear screaming. Frightened, you look around for something to protect yourself with, and you find a lead pipe nearby. "Better than nothing." you think to yourself. But as you reach for the pipe with your dominant hand, the insignia glows brighter, and your hand pains grow to an unbearable extent. "What the...what is this?" you wonder. Curious, you reach for the handle to the door...once again with your dominant hand, and you get the same effect. Torturing, unbearable pain.
Until you know more about the insignia, you decide to avoid using your dominant hand, but how will you fight properly with your weak hand? This worries you as you successfully pick up the lead pipe with your weaker hand. Suddenly, your wristwatch beeps. "Dominance brings forth pain along with skill, while non-dominance lacks strength but holds potential." flashes the message on the screen. Where did the message come from? It beeps again. "Ambidexterity is the key to survival." is the message this time, and this is starting to be a little too much for you to take at once. You're still trying to figure out where you are!
"Ambidexterity, huh?" you ponder, and still fearful of the pain, you snap the fingers of your dominant hand. For some reason, you think some sort of power rests in your hand, and you hope something like a tiny fire might appear to prove your theory. Surprisingly, no pain arises, but instead a small flame comes forth. The watch beeps, and it reads: "Fire. Skill recorded."
Now you know it's not just you going crazy. "How am I supposed to use other skills, I wonder?" and you know you'll figure it out later. With your newfound power in your dominant hand and a lead pipe in the other, you slowly start walking towards the screaming...

Welcome to "Mysteries Unanswered"! As you may have read above, you have awakened in an unknown place, and believe me, it's anything but safe there. But are you alone? You can't be. You heard screaming, after all. Your job is to find a way out of this nightmare, and do it quickly, because the longer you stay, the worse the nightmare gets. The night plays tricks on the human eyes, and you already think you're seeing your worst fears...
Find your lost RP brethren and join forces; let's face it, you'll never make it out of here alone. As the creatures of the night try and finish you off, always remember your inconvenient situation...you're basically reversed. Swinging a normal weapon will be difficult, and a powerful/large weapon will be even more difficult. Also remember that your other hand holds a secret power. How you come across other skills is up to you, as it responds to your mindset.
So, the rules. Each member will face hardships and confrontations in this nightmare. Do not god-mod to make yourself stronger. Swinging the Hammer of Thor will be quite impossible with your non-dominant hand, after all. Keep the peace, and do not be inconsiderate. Doing so may cost you your companions, leaving you in this world alone. And trust me, you won't get out alone. Assign an alias, and a skillset to yourself. If everyone uses the same types of skills/weapons, we very well can't have an interesting RP, can we? Pick a unique alias for yourself, and then choose a type of weapon (swords, bows, etc.) along with a skillset (black magic, healing, support, etc.). Spamming will only cause your mind to fall deeper into the unknown darkness, so avoid it at all costs. Short posting will only cause your characters to interact in an overdose of dialogue, meaning that it'll be that much more difficult to escape. Join in at any time; we know some of you just take longer to wake up. There will not be a experience system, so all players will be equal in their fight. Finally, we know it's the nightmares containing all of your worst fears, but be sure to enjoy yourself!

Weapon Type: (This will limit you to this type of weapon, special exceptions might be available. Select swords, bows, etc.)
Skills Type: (Defines your character class. Healing, black magic, etc. Be creative here, but follow the rules.)
Physical and Mental Fears: (This will define your situations and battles. Things like heights, spiders, etc.)

As a last note, I'd like to appoint a strong, frequent RP'er to run the outer storyline. What enemies appear in front of people, what objects they find, and what challenges they'll have to face. I ask this only because I want to give someone the opportunity if they want. If not, I am fully prepared to run it, and I promise to follow the first rule while doing so.

Weapon Type: Sword (Even when i can only use my weak hand, the left one, it's strong enough to get a hold of a sword, the only REAL problem is writing! :D)

Maybe if he uncovers a rifle he could rest the barrel on his arm to shoot rather than hold it but if that would cause the pain spasming he can work with pistols and one handed guns.

Whoever controls the RP will decide how an attack affects an enemy and if it'll hit, but missing under certain conditions can open up interesting things; missing an attack won't be a total letdown:D

Yuri woke up in his dark chamber. Having always used his trusty katana with his left hand, he realized that adjusting to using his right hand would be quite difficult. But there was no other choice. He slowly picked up the katana in his right hand, and it began to wobble in fear.
Fight, or run? Yuri decided against the latter, slowly walking into the darkness towards the screaming...

Then the flying insects came, and took his mom away.
Or what was left of her.
Akilla began sobbing. He screamed as loud as he could, screamed for his mother, screamed for protection. He blocked himself out of the outside world. Just like he had been doing for his whole life. Living in a fantasy where he wouldn’t have to face the challenges the world had to offer. Where he wouldn’t have to face his mother’s death.
He screamed a last time, wiped his eyes, and for the first time that morning, looked around himself.
“Where – a – am – I?” Akilla asked to no one in particular. He realized how much his temple was throbbing, how he could feel his pulse. He didn’t recognize this place at all. Or the sounds. Screaming. “I guess I’m not the only one,” he mumbled, just in time to see a man with a sword and long black hair. Quickly, Akilla scrambled up to meet the newcomer.
“H-hey there. M-m-my name i-is, A-a-akilla.” Akilla grabbed his wavy brown hair in frusturation. He was terrible at introductions.
((By the way, I will be leaving for my cottage on Tuesday, so during that time, Paper will be R-Ping for me))

Finally, spotting a small gleam of light, Yuri noticed an individual in the corner who stood up to greet him.
"A pleasure, Akilla. The name's Yuri. Yuri Lowell. I'm not sure what's going on, but sitting around won't solve anything. Can you walk? For that matter, can you defend yourself?" said Yuri, handing over the lead pipe he had kept, just in case.

"God knows what that skill it means is..." he whispered well-aware the screaming had ceased but it did nothing to ease him. Taking the hint he rather awkwardly drew his father's revolver from it's holster brandishing it triumphantly in the air overcome with joy. However..."I'm still not going through that goddamned door, lord knows whats on the end of it" he said looking around for another way out.

Akilla yelped as a searing pain shot through his right hand. He quickly switched to his left hand as for the first, time, he realized a watch and a strange insignia on his hand. "I wonder what these are for?" A message then bleeped across the screen of the watch, saying Ambidexterity is the key to survival. "I wonder what my hidden skill is," Akilla mumbled. "Please take me with you, Mr. Lowell. Or can I call you Yuri? If what happened here has to do with my mother, then I'll go through oblivion to find out."

Skills Type:he is not fast. but he is definetly tough and determined to protect. He will attack with magic and defend his partners.
Physical and Mental Fears: his greatest physical fear is blood . His mental fear is silence.
If it's right I'll start writing:
Joe woke up suddenly, he was wearing the suit he used for work
"... What the hell is going on here..." Joe heard screams, he was more angry that he was scared, at least he knew there were other people around. He looked around and saw his hand with a watch that wasn't his and some scar or weird tatoo. He thought he was kidnapped by some cult or serial killers, he had to get out. But not before he found some other people. He looked around for a gun or something to protect himself, then he saw a lead pipe in a corner.
"Oh my god! Aghhhhh!" He kneeled and grabbed thightly his hand until the pain stopped.
His watch had a message on the screen :"Dominance brings forth pain along with skill, while non-dominance lacks strength but holds potential." He read it over and over. maybe he could do something else with his hand.
"Ambidexterity is the key to survival." The message had changed... now he thought about it, it was quite possible that his right arm was now going to serve another purpouse than to do what he used to do.
Then he tried again. He saw how it was impossible to get his right hand to do something. he took it with his left hand and it worked. However, the watch beeped and showd another message: "Fire. Skill recorded."
"How am I supposed to use fire? maybe.. my hand? Nah! That's ridiculous, it's impossible to launch fire from my hand." He walked towards one of the doors, it had a little window so he looked through it.
It was a dark hallway with a single lightbulb, but it was okay. As he opened and watched around he heard all kinds of noises, all of them hard to describe, but between them all a distinctive scream.
"I have to find help or something..." He kept going down the hallway expecting to find someone, friend or foe.

Suddenly, Abel's dominant hand reacted at one specific door, one to his left.
Thinking there must be a logical reason for reacting to this opening, Abel immediately went through to this path.
"Could this hand react to the right path? Or could it be directing me to the wrong path..?" questioned Abel.
Walking along the hallway, the screams got noisier, and then suddenly the scream had disappeared.
Abel thought something terrible was about to happen, so decided to take his sword out with his left hand.
"This very sword...The one I've held for many years....Yet it feels like a brand new weapon when holding it with this hand. It's gonna take a while until I get used to this."

Alicia turned her attention to the flickering source of light in the corner of the room. As she watched the flame dance, terrifying shadows were cast around her. Combined with the throbbing headache and ear-splitting screams, she knew this wasn't going to be a good day. As the candle burnt brightly infront of her, a wave of unease washed over hear. Ever since THAT incident, she had found bright lights unbearable. Her hand unconciously drifted to her face. She felt relief sweep through her.
Thank god, i still have my glasses.
Upon her face sat a pair of of darkened glasses. A special prescription that dimmed even the fiercest of lights. With this new sense of comfort Alicia turned to the matter at hand. What was going on? The dim glow of the candle illuminated a sleek, black thin rod of wood. Topped with a silver plated handle, ornately decorated as a wolfs head. Alicia's heart skipped a beat.
My cane!
She reached out to it, picking it up, longing to feel its cool touch against her fingertips. Alas it never came. As she picked up her cane a searing pain burnt through her hand, spreading up through her arm. As quickly as she had picked it up, she had released her cane. It was then she noticed the strange insignia on her hand and the watch upon her wrist. The watched beeped as a message flashed upon it. At once she understood. The pain that had seared through her arm, it was punishment. She wasn't allowed to use her dominant hand. She reached forward, taking her cane with her left hand. Nothing. No pain.
Good. Ok, now to get out of here.
"Hello!" she called out.

Yuri's senses sparked. After seeing the shaky gun and speech patterns, he knew that this individual was not evil. However, something was bothering him. "Now, let's calm down. Let's not jump to any immediate conclusions here. I'm Yuri, and this here is Akilla. We have no intentions of hurting you. Care to lend us a hand? I think we're just as lost as you are."
Yuri took his left hand and stretched it out towards the mysterious stranger.
During all this, Yuri heard a far off shouting..."Hello!" it said. His eyes were fixated on the gun pointed at him though. "I'll respond once a firearm isn't pointed straight at me." he thought.

"T-thanks, Yuri." Akilla climbed to his feet, assured that he could trust Yuri. All of a sudden, a mysterious individual wielding a gun entered, pointing it at them. Frightened, Akilla once again huddled in the corner. "D-don't shoot!" he said.

"Apologies, I've always been comfortable using my left hand for everything; although I have heard of that saying before." Yuri said, relieved that the gun was no longer pointed at him.
"I'll let him introduce himself, it wouldn't be right if I made introductions for people. However, I can tell you that I wouldn't draw any conclusions about him yet. I have a strong feeling he'll save us all sometime." Yuri noted.
He remembered the "Hello!" and looked in the direction of Pierre's barrel was pointing. "You okay?" shouted Yuri to the unknown individual.
As he waited for a reply, Yuri looked over at Alex and replied: "I used to be in the Royal Army. This sword's a memento from that time, and I think I already have most of this wristwatch figured out. It looks an awful lot like the bohdi blastia I wore in the army. He snapped his finger and a small flame danced about directly above it. "See?"

Having been forced into another confrontation, Akilla stood up slowly. "I-I'm Akilla. Nice to m-meet you." He was still shaking from everything that was happening. Yuri was the only one he could still trust completely at this point.

At once she broke into a run. Someone needed help. The echo's of her footsteps guiding her way. She stopped short of the three men. The darkness of her glasses made if difficult to see the scene ahead of her, but she dare not make another strike with her cane. She did not wish to provoke the unknown gunman that now had his attention turned on her. Seeing the faint glow of the insignia on the back of his hand she decided he must be in the same boat as herself. This fact alone gave her the strength to speak.
"Put the gun down. I'm no threat to you."

"You're left handed too? How do you hold your gun in your left hand with that insignia?" asked Yuri, puzzled. "No matter. I have to tell you, everything here looks so...modern. Where I came from, swords and magic are commonplace. I've seen a few guns, but nothing like the one you hold."
"Anyways, the bohdi blastia was a wristwatch that channeled energy into what we called mana. It allowed normal people to use magic, and sometimes it was made to emit barriers against dangerous forces. I think this wristwatch works in a similar way. I still can't get anything other than fire, though." he said, still a little bit overwhelmed by everything that was going on.
He turned to Akilla and offered a helping hand. "Come on, are you okay? It seems we have another guest, so we should greet them instead of hiding in the corner, right?"

Akilla took Yuri's hand, and all of a sudden, Yuri's past life rushed through Akilla's head. "Y-Yuri, what have you been through?" wondered Akilla. This was not the time to ask, though. He stepped forward, ready for the next guest.

"My name is Alicia Brookes. Where are we?"
She looked at the 2 other men. The one that had previously been on the floor looked scared. Alicia turned to him.
"Its ok, you don't need to be scared of me." Her voice was filled with concern. Yet she was still cautious as she approached. Her cane firmly in her hand she turned to the other man who had previously been helping the man from the corner.
"Where are we? What is this?" She asked. It was stupid to think he would know what was going on, but he just just seemed to have that, feel to him.

Alex said spinning and firing blindly into the darkness terrified, fortunately with his poor hand his aim was far off Alicia Firing with my left hand...I wish he thought taking a deep breath and snarling "You shouldn't sneak up on people in the dark" he said the dark smell of gunpowder reaching his nostrils as he slowly calmed down before deciding it best to holster his pistol "Well.....I'm....sorry" he muttered ashamed now he realised he'd shot at a woman "I'm just a little jumpy what with mana an sword and...well this whole mess" he grunted

"I think we should get going now, standing around at this hallway isn't the best place. Perhaps there are others in this place?" suggested Abel.
"Why don't you come with me? You know, walking around here alone isn't the smartest choice."
Abel began walking the other direction of where he came from, and hears chattering along the distance.
After a couple minutes of walking, the talking had matched with a group of people, who seemed friendly, until gunshots were heard.
Out of all their appearances, he had noticed one thing. A glowing mark on their hands.
"Uhhh, I'm sort of lost here. Would you mind if you showed us the way out?" approached Abel, as he purposely revealed his right hand, showing the mark.
"You all have this mark as well, anybody got a clue of what this is?"
