Chase grunted. He hated waiting. Impatience was a major flaw of his. He was uncomfortable with her being on the other side of the room, with her captors, one of whom hurt her before. He was itching to just attack the both of them, but he knew that was a bad idea. His foot tapped on the floor uncontrollably and his eyes shifted from Migoto, to Yuui, to Markus and back. |

Markus pulled the needle out calmly and placed it back in the case, "You're lucky this is a new set of needles I got. Who knows what could have been transmitted if I still had my old ones. I've poisoned some real sleeze bags." He gave her a light, friendly pat on the shoulder. Then he noticed the blood on her cheek and pulled out his handkerchief. "Here, I'll get that for you," He wiped off what he could without liquid, purposefully going just the wrong direction over the cut. Blood wasn't a factor in his pleasure. It was simply pain. |

Migoto just sat there, barely affected. She was too focused on punching Markus. Once she was able to, she socked him pretty hard, considering her current state. |

At first, Chase was about to yell at him for touching her, but seeing Migoto come to life and punch him gave him all the satisfaction he needed. He stepped up and held out a hand for Migoto to take before Markus tried to hit her back. |

"Oh, your girl has quite the fight in her!" Markus said as he regained his balance, grabbing at his jaw and glancing over tho Chase, "If you two don't work out I might just attempt to court this young woman herself." With that he started walking back towards his boss, "Well then, it looks like we've lost again. Who to blame this time?" He glared at Yuui. |

Chase completely forgot his plans of flicking Markus off as soon as Migoto got to him. He wrapped his arms around her tightly and closed his eyes, a great weight being lifted from him. "Thank God you're alright." His voice was barely a whisper. "It was my fault, I know. I'll never let this happen again. And I swear, as soon as I get the opportunity again, I'm getting revenge on both of these punks." He drew back and stepped slowly towards the door, beckoning Sylvester to follow as well. |

Migoto shook her head. "I knew it was going to happen..." she replied, "that's why I had Sylvester wear the rose camera." She whispered into his ear. "Besides... It completed one of the phases of taking down the thugs; making Yuui loose power~" |

Chase smiled. "Sweet..." he whispered, then backed out of the door. Suddenly, he remembered the ring. "Wait, what do I do with this?" He hinted at it to Migoto. "I'm kinda tempted to keep it." |

Chase grinned maliciously. "Alright, Yuui. Thanks for Migoto back. And just in case you try and screw with me again, I'm keeping this ring. Melissa's gonna have to wait a tad longer, buddy." As soon as they got into the hallway, he bolted away, with Migoto in tow, his usual giddiness back again. |

Chase frowned. "I don't wanna think about you getting hurt. I mean, with me, it makes me look cool, but on you it worries me." He burst out the main door of the house and into the street, grabbing his motorcycle right away, and whistling to his Hoods around them to move out. Mounting it, he ran a hand through his hair. "That's another thing. I've never been scared of anything in my entire life until now. It really sucks," he noted. |

"Yeah, but you've felt scared before that. It was all new to me. I never knew what the big deal was until I felt it myself. My doctor told me I couldn't be nervous about anything, because of a medical condition. For a second, I thought I was going to die." Chase shook his head and started the bike. "But you're back now, and that's all that matters." He stole a kiss before shooting out into the street, back to the Forest. |

Yuui glared at Markus and didn't say a word. He felt even more hatred for his sister. Migoto put her arms around Chase and held onto him tightly. It was kind of sweet that his first fear was about her safety, but she also felt kind of bad about it... |

They travelled in silence, the only sounds heard being the engine and the roaring wind. Finally, they neared the Forest and Chase began to slow down, making sure the Hoods had followed them back. Seeing a few dashing along the rooftops, he was satisfied, parking the bike in the brush and dismounting the bike. The sentries at the gate cheered when they saw that Chase had saved Migoto after all. Leading the way through the village, Chase greeted them all by name. |

Migoto smiled. She loved how Chase cared about every single member of his gang. She didn't even know half of the names of the sophisticates. She also loved how quickly she seemed to fit in. She was afraid that the other members might show some hostility because she was the leader of an enemy gang. "They seem really excited that you saved me" |

If I okay someone, they're usually on board too." He climbed up into his tree and fell over onto the bed, not bothering to do anything else. His eyes were heavy, and his leg was throbbing painfully. What a night, he found himself thinking absently. |

Sylvester stood at the foot of the building. He raised his hand and curled it into a fist. Inside Yuui's room, an agent stepped out of the wardrobe and handed Yuui a backpack. "You'll want to put this on." |

Chase shifted into a comfortable position on the bed and closed his eyes, falling fairly immediately to sleep. Tomorrow would be another day. Hopefully they could deal with the Thugs once and for all. And revenge on Markus, something very important to Chase himself. The officer ushered Parks down the police station hall and opened Floyd Ambrose's door for him. When Parks entered, Floyd put down the file he was looking at and glared at him. "Well, Officer Parks, would you like to inform me as to what the bloody hell you were doing with CarChaseCityMan?!" he barked. |

Floyd became even angrier. "I just got a report saying that you were in your cruiser with CarChaseCityMan and others. Don't play dumb with me, Parks. What's going on?" he demanded, slamming a fist on his desk. His fervor for stopping that gangs knew no bounds. |

Before the agent could respond, Sylvester flung the door open and shouted. "Boys!" A stream of men marched through the room, all staring at Markus. The agent spoke up again. After feeling properly rested, Migoto sat up and stretched. She felt her stomach grumble, so she decided to get something to eat. "What does Chase have to eat...?" She whispered as she looked through his kitchen. Cereal, Cereal, More Cereal.... "I bet he lives off this stuff..." At least he had marshmallows and butter. She got everything she needed to make rice krispie treats. |
