Patrons from all over had come to this bar to enjoy themselves and not be pressured by the outside world. They were busy chatting, or watching the TV enjoying their drinks. The place itself is unique, with golden gryphons painted on the walls, each bird holding a padlock in one claw, and a key in the other. It was slightly larger in scale than the other pubs, giving it more room for the fancy stuff and the patrons themselves. The drinks were enough to get minds off their troubles for the time they are there. The outside was distinctive. It looked like a giant golden eagle was sitting on top of it, and that served as the roof of the place. Everyone knew this tavern and where it was because of the bird. The bar was also nearby the courthouse, for some reason. Nobody knew why, plus nobody ever really bothered to ask the owner of the place.
Ah yes, the owner. An imposing man not by his athletic build, but by his appearance itself. He was six foot five, with black hair and steel-toed boots. His eyes were silver, in great contrast to the gold around him. The bartender and the owner of the bar, he ran a tight ship. No one complained, and if they did, he'd toss them right out, but not before giving them a guilty verdict. The long-time patrons around him gave him the title "Gavel Abel".
Overall, the place gave off a relaxed atmosphere.
(( Anyone can join, pick a canon and stick with it. I don't want anyone else confusing each other. Since my character's a bit...unique, here's a picture. It's big, so I'll have to put it in a spoiler box. Just give him an arrow devil tail and normal black steel-toed boots, and we're good. NOTE: I don't own the picture below, someone else did it, all credit goes to them and them alone! ))

"Well," Athena began, looking around at the pub and the patrons. "I'll admit, I've never been in this place before, Ben." She pulled back a strand of her dark blue hair. "But...why would you drink here?"
"Um, it's...closer to the courthouse."
She stared at him blandly. "So you're saying you arive everytime at the courthouse drunk?"
"Well..." Ben grinned sheepishly before diverting the subject to an open stool. "Hey, why don't I order you a glass of wine, Chief?"
"They have wine?" She was quite surprized by this.

A winged man came out from the door behind the bar, ironically putting some wine bottles on the shelves. The man also had a long tail, by the way it was waving around harmlessly. There was the owner, Abel Scythemoon, or "Gavel Abel".
He spun around with a smile on his flawless face, "Hey! Welcome back Ben! What's on your mind for today?"
"And why's that?"
"Because it's devastating to my case!"
"Overruled."
"Good call!"

He started to sort out the bottles off-handedly with his tail, alphebetically putting them in order. Abel was always an organized one...

They cried out "OBJECTION!" at the same time.
He lowered his wings and his hand, and the patrons went back to what they were doing. Abel had a smirk on his face and said warmly, "Welcome to Talons of Justice. Make yourself at home."

Abel scratched a wing, then leaned back against the shelves, effectively pinning the bottles so they wouldn't fall off, or wobble when he moved. His gaze moved up to the TV, where a ball game was on.

"Abel."
"What are you doing here?"
"Investigations. Right now I'm taking a five minute break, then going back to work."
"Right..."
"Don't believe me, brother?"
"After that stunt you pulled a few months ago? No."
"It wasn't a stunt, it was an arrest."
Abel visibly scowled, then brought down a few bottles. The icy tone of the Agent made a couple patrons quiet, and a few wary of his presence. He mixed up a few alcoholic drinks, then put them in a Talon Mug.
"One Devil's Ball and Chain."
The man grabbed the mug, downed it in a few gulps, then put it back on the counter, "Still as hot as ever. I hate to say it, but you make good drinks, Abel."
"Coming from an Agent, that's high praise."
"Don't get snide, Abel. That's what got you shot."
"I didn't even see the guy with his gun! Don't bring that up again," Abel snarled, folding his arms across his chest.
"And why's that?"
"Because it's devastating to my case!"
"Overruled."
"Good call!"

Gabriel cracked a ghost of a grin, "You shouldn't have said that, now Abel's going to go in lawyer mode."
"OBJECTION! I am not going in lawyer mode!"
"Objection overruled. You are now, Abel."
Abel scowled, then leaned on one hand on the counter, "I hate it when you do this to me, Gabriel."
"It was your life, Abel. Not mine."
Obviously beaten, the bartender stood back up and crossed his arms over his chest, looking away from the Agent. Gabriel put the money in the hidden register himself, slammed the thing shut, then walked out the door, "Till we meet again, brother."
Abel muttered, "Sometimes I hate him..."
"And why's that?"
"Because it's devastating to my case!"
"Overruled."
"Good call!"

The news anchor announced that Tyler's neighbor was murdered.
"Ha ha ha!" Tyler laughed. The anchor also said that Tyler has been arrested.
"No I haven't!" Tyler exclaimed. *Ding dong*. Tyler answers the door. Two cops were there.
"You're under arrest on the charge of murder in the first degree," one officer said. Tyler shouted a string of curses and was brought to the police station.
