1. By joining this, you agree to do what I say and follow the other rules. Right now, you just need to post a brief intro/description to join, but later on, you will need to PM me. If I ban you, please leave. Play nice.
2. Be intelligible. This means SemiLit and up. Keep shorthand to a minimum, and at least attempt grammar. If a fourth grader can write a better sentence than you... That's just sad. Tone down non-text smilies (XD and 0_o are fine if used OOC). Yes, I love punctuating things with
. But it's distracting. 3. This thing will be bloody. Called horror for a reason, folks. Gore is absolutely fine if used for effect (as opposed to flying guts for the sheer sake of violence). A few people will get whacked ten posts in. Swearing... Eh, I don't mind a curse or two if your leg gets butchered or something, but don't overdo it.
4. The plot is all-powerful. Don't be a stick in the mud. If a vampire-zombie combo starts gnawing at your face, don't sulk, look at the sky and develop your character. This is meant to be impulsive, and I'd rather you keep up with the plot than be perfect grammatically (contradictory, but you people are smart). Also, bear in mind that this is horror - not romance. That aspect of things shouldn't go higher than PG-13.
5. Cliche = Bad. Don't make me groan. Please. It's not a soap opera. Perfect characters will be executed.
6. Don't be scared of me. I have these rules to weed out the total morons. Obviously, if you're here, you aren't one of 'em. Have fun. Try twisting the main plot (i.e. earthquake, enemies afraid of water). I'm very open to such things. <3
That's it. Plot:
Real life isn't like a horror movie. In movies, you always know that the thing (whatever it may be) is real and coming for you. You know you're going to die if you turn off the lights or head down an alleyway. You can predict what's going to happen - after all, it always turns out the same.
But real life is more terrifying than the scariest movies. It's never obvious. No musical crescendos, no cobwebs or excessive fog. Just the looming threat of death, and a million ways to get there.
You're in a communal hotel parking garage to pick up your car. You are about six floors underground, and it's night. A few people are milling about in search of their cars, but it is mostly silent. As you fish through your pocket for your keys, you feel something drip onto your arm. You look down and gasp. It's blood, watery, as though mixed with engine runoff.
Every good horror story has three things: A setting, some characters, and a danger. The danger part is up to you. It can be anything. The weirder the better.
The thread will start after 3-6 people join. I will play a male.

Appearance: Cady is kinda short (about 5'3'') and usually wears her brown hair up in a messy bun. She has light-colored skin, with a few bruises from spacing out and accidentally walking into things. Her eyes are green, and she wears way too much eyeliner (at least, that's what her parents say...) She likes to wear jeans, a light purple hoodie, and Vans with little music notes on them.
Personality: Cady is pretty outgoing and has an overactive imagination. She is also kind of forgetful and gets distracted very easily. Even though she's a poor student, she loves to solve puzzles and do science experiments. (Actually, she just likes blowing stuff up. She's a bit of a pyro.)
Distinctive traits: She is afraid of water and needles. (Well, it is a horror RP...) Also, she always carries a granola bar with her in case she gets hungry. You never know. Her eyesight is a little bad, but she never wears her glasses because they annoy her.
Is that good?

Occupation: Student at a University
Apparel: Miriam is usually caught in a pair of baggy, tan cargo pants that are littered with pockets and zippers. She is adorned in a large (one size too big) red hoodie. She also has a pair of casual sneakers that she has absently doodled on in her spare time. Lastly, Mira wears a pair of angular black glasses.
Features: Hazel eyes that aren't quite covered by her short (just above the shoulder) chesnut hair... Freckles sparingly dot her cheeks and nose.
Personality/Extra: Miriam has a tendency to travel into her own world at times... more importantly, at the worst of times. She is usually a wise-cracker (not that snacks are wise) and can't stop talking back to save her life. Though she is somewhat of a absentminded sort of girl, Mira can usually figure things out, no matter how complicated they are... that is, if she's not under pressure. Though she doesn't show it much, Miriam has a serious side, and HARDLY uses her soft side. She always has a canteen of who knows what in a black napsack that is slung over her shoulder. Mira is afraid of the dark ( as well as the things that go bump in the night) and hates loud noises. Being in the dark for long amount of time for her creates paranoia.

Physical Features: Aaron has dark, calculating amber eyes, and they appear black under fluorescent lighting. His hair is spiked back, dirty blonde with surprisingly little gel. He has a fairly average Caucasian skintone, and is lightly built. His voice is cracked.
Backstory: Fairly unremarkable. Raised in Suburbia, Aaron was a type-A rebel. He had a small group of close friends, and never lost contact. Despite his parents' support, he was often "caught" at school, but was generally a good student.
Personality: He has a tendency to blurt things out, and is often impulsive and quirky. He has a strange sense of humor, but is largely ignored by his classmates… and likes it that way. Addicted to alternative rock, he is often found in a remote corridor, toting his iPod in one hand and a textbook in the other. Aaron plans to be a screenwriter. He is a low-ranking black belt, and enjoys video games and Guitar Hero.
Spacey and freeform, he is easily startled by sudden noises.
