This is a thread for the discussion of the overall plot of the RP Phoenix Wright: Ace College student. I made this thread so that the players could talk to one another about the currently running plots and discuss their characters reactions so that in high energy moments no ones toes are stepped on and no character gets left behind if the player doesn't happen to be on.

If this is not the right place for the topic I apologize. I honestly couldn't find anywhere on the forums where something like this might belong.

Perhaps in the General Roleplay forum? o.o; Or the BBC... cause it would be unfair for us to gain post count by discussing a roleplay.

Mostly because I remember Kenji saying that we should put them in General Roleplay. I can go ahead and contact an admin to move it.

Thanks Croik for moving this to the right place. It's much appreciated.

Now for the reason this was made. Handling the Dahlia encounter.

I realize that every character has something against this girl. She's touched everyones lives in a dramatic way. Therefore it's only natural to want to be in the center of the action here. Unfortunately this can't actually work.

I want to start things off with presenting a little idea of what I hope to happen to Phoenix as a result of this encounter.

One thing to enter my mind is that he disappear when it is over. Being trapped on a burning bridge and needing to jump out into the river is a great way to do this. It'd be even more fun if he could grab Dahlia on his way, but that's more to the discretion of the person playing her.

And of course, to do this, we would need to do the reset. I have PMed everyone the details on this, and have so far gotten back one green flag, and one yellow flag. Ben and Dahlia need to respond ASAP on this matter. It's very important that I get some responses, but I am heavily leaning towards this reset, because of how important the scene is.

Personally, I don't care what happens to Chris as a result of this, but I have to take care of Meghan's character while LSH is gone, so let's not have anything climatic happening to her. XD I almost had an idea that if Dahlia burned the bridge and Chris couldn't escape, he'd throw Meghan to the safe grass...

I'm very flexible as to what happens to Feenie. So if there are objections to him disappearing feel free to voice them.

We can finish the vote in the thread if that makes things easier.
I've voted yes on the reset. This is an important scene and I feel all players should be present.

And I started the reset for many reasons.

For one, it was mostly my fault that the scene went through. Ben wasn't on, Franzise wasn't on, and I kinda took the stage. =\

But enough about that, I think I already did enough of that trying to apologize to Franzise.

Mainly, I thought that before this scene, EVERYONE should have their own piece for the show. Everyone has something to say to Dahlia, and whether or not the bridge is flooded with gas or not, they have SOMETHING. And this is something we can use to flesh out character reactions to Dahlia's character.

Also, I think Phoenix has been abused enough, but I've no objections to him disappearing if it gives us another subplot.

That was the biggest factor in wanting to do it. I want to do my best to keep the RP fresh and moving. It's already been a blast to play (mostly thanks to the efforts of Xero and Dhalia) and I'm loving the nifty AU standpoint it's taking (thanks to Fran).

Me? :D Well, I'm glad I helped in the plots. I figured I was getting in the way most of the time.

Personally, I'm loving every bit of it. I need to get to work on the next chapter, but I've been feeling too down to do any sort of writing. The RPing keeps me going though; it's so much fun. The College RP is easily the best RP I've ever been in.

Enough of that though. Plot development time!

Well um. I can't speak for other characters of course, but I was thinking after Iris' sad touching little speech to Dollie, a couple things could happen:

Dahlia realizes the error of her ways, surrenders, and everyone ends up happy :edgy:

(har har, yeah, didn't think so)

Actually I was thinking even before I found out about the bridge torching, if things went as I expected, Iris would fall into the river and either disappear or be found injured which would lead to hospitalization and blah blah

I'm very spontaneous in my roleplay so usually I just play off whatever's happening at the moment and don't worry about future plans; the confrontation is one of the few exceptions.

And yeah, I'll go with a yes if everyone else is okay with it.

You know it's entirely possible that Phoenix and Iris fall into the river together. Then one gets found and the other doesn't. I can see him doing some quick instinctual thinking, grabbing Iris, and jumping into the water to get off the burning bridge.

I agree. I don't want things to end up the same way again, as this is probably the most important scene we've all RPed thus far.

I'll PM Dahlia about this thread and see if we can't get a small discussion going about the confrontation.

EDIT: She has been PMed. Now we wait.

As for Chris, I had the idea that he'd fall into the river, or throw Meghan in or to the side to save her and he gets burned, but if Phoenix and/or Iris jump, I'll hold off on that. We don't need half of the cast falling into the river. XD

I'm probably just going to stage a last-minute rescue scene with Chris and Meghan, and let everyone else handle their chars the way they want to. Not too cheesy, but in a way where they won't exactly see what's happening. This may actually give way for a "What happened to them!?" scene.

I've responded and agreed. Since Draco is not really part of the conflict at the moment, I see little reason for waiting on me. From what I stated, he's not truly aware of Dahlia's involvement in Valerie's death, so until he finds out, has not reason to go after her.

To be honest, it'd be best to wait until after the Dahlia moment. Once that arc is over it won't matter if you character knows what's going on or not. She wouldn't have been there.

Anyway, at least we got through it and everyone got their piece... Well, I guess not EVERYONE, but enough happened, right? We went through it and everyone got to RP something. And now it's the Post-Dahlia Arc... I wonder what will happen next...

Nick doesn't have to disappear. I just need to take a break from the 'puppy dog' personality for a bit. Wears on the nerves. I could easily pull something corny like amnesia or something. I mean, if a blow to the head by a fire extinguisher managed to do it... *eye rolls* Nicky doesn't really have a bonus to his will saves.
Something with less of a drama roll might be him maybe just learning and maturing from the experiance, but that takes time and according to the game Nick never loses the puppyness.

I think I'll put it to a vote. What do you guys think would make for fun interesting RP?

I don't really know what I want at the moment. I got the cogs all a whirlin'. I could do all kindsa stuff to torture poor Feenie. Why is it everyone loves to abuse the man?

Anyway, I want ideas for the next plot to be expressed here and any plans you may have for your characters. The more we plan the smoother things will run. After all, no one wants a disgruntled player.
