Stefan's concentration shattered. He opened his right eye, and looked at Tyrey. "Stefan Soan. And you are...?"

((Naturally. XD Dave/Lana is so canon it's unbelieveable))

David snapped his attention from Lana for a second to greet the residents. "Hey, Detective de Paor. LAPD. Nice to meet ya."

((Gotcha.))

Lana turned at the sound of the familiar voice. "Oh...it's...you...great. Welcome, detective." She thought for a second. "You should know Valerie, eh, de Paor? She's a detective also. As in, she works for the police." She added the last sentence for the brothers' sake.

David cocked his eyebrow at the unexuberant greeting from the woman standing before him.
"Nice to see you, as always!" he chuckled sarcastically. He took a quick glance at Valerie to familarize himself with him. After a few seconds of racking his brain for any recollection of her, it snapped into place.

"Ah, Valerie! I remember you, I worked on a case with you a few months ago. Nice to see ya again," he uttered with a roguish wink. He was such a dork.

(( DavexLana FTW))

Valarie heard snippets of the conversation between Lana and David, it didn't interest her much until her name was mentioned. She excused herself from the kitchen and saw the tall, brown haired man in front of her. It also took her a few minutes to remember him, but in the end, she knew him.
A small smirk came across her face and said, "Hello Mr. Paor, glad to meet you....again..."

"Aha ha, how's the head since then? That high speed chase didn't exactly leave us smelling of roses," he mumbled rubbing his head sheepishly.

That case had left scars on all involves. Particularly Valerie, who was severly injured in the collision between the suspect vehicle and the patrol car...

[OOC: This is assuming you're still sticking with the same Valerie of course. XD]

((Yes, same Val. :3))

Valerie's smirk faded away into a slightly worried expression, " Fine , I guess.... Some things I did before are a bit hazy but...yeah..."
She had forgotten that David knew about the incident, well, most people know anyway.

The brothers heard parts of the conversation going on outside their rooms and opened the doors at the same time, both asking, "There are a lot of detectives here, huh?" They both ran out, closing the doors behind them and locking them with the keys they had found on their bed. They flashed their detective's badges with continued synchronicity.
It was then that the simultaneity (( :redd:)) ended and Jay spoke up, "So... you're Mr... De Paor? We're the Slezaks: Jay and Jeremy... semi-freelance detectives as in, we work with the police, but we... tend to take our own cases." Jay smiled and scratched the back of his head.
"Nice to meet you, Mr. De Paor," Jeremy added, "Heh, there are, what..." he began counting, 'Us, David, Valarie, and... was Tyrey a detective? I can't remember.' "About four or five detectives here now out of the... nine or ten people that are currently here! That's about half!"

Ron was about to give an answer to Valarie, when she left. He sighed, rubbing the back of his head and sipping his water. "I wonder... what we're actually meant to do here. Surviving for three months doesn't seem all that hard..." he said quietly to himself, walking off down the hallway to his room, occasionally sipping his water.

Lana slipped away from the commotion to follow Ron. She said nonchalantly, in a normal voice, "I bet that there's more to this house than meets the eye."

Ron jumped slightly when he heard Lana's voice. He was supposed to be a master thief, yet somehow, he was so jumpy. He turned to face Lana. "Hm...? You really think so? I mean, it looks like an ordinary house to me... even if it is a little old..." he said, frowning slightly. "Why? Do you know something?"

Yuki clutched her small suitcase in her right hand and knocked on the front door with her left. Here we go, she thought. Better prepare myself to meet some new people. She brushed a stray curl out of her face and waited for someone to answer the door, fearing that it would be impolite to just walk in.

Tyrey, always the charmer, opened the door for the girl. "Hello, and welcome to the house!" He moved to the side so the blonde could get in. "My name's Tyrey Just. And yours?"

Lana shrugged. "No, I know nothing that you don't know. But, just the detective-intuition thing, I suppose."

Stefan, who'd being hiding in the house, heard the knocking on the doir. "I'll get it, mmkay?" he called to the inhabitants. He opened the door, his unruly hair giving the impression he'd just woken up. "Dammit,Tyrey" he said. He did look down on Yuki - it was the only way to look at her without kneeling. "Hi, I assume your the new arrival? I'm Stefan, by the way." he said, opening the door properly.

“Hi, my name is Yuki Kazahana,” Yuki said cheerfully, stepping in. “Nice to meet you, Tyrey. Mr. Soan, I didn’t think I’d see you again.” ((Referring to the Hazakura RP))

She put her small suitcase on the floor. Yuki never carried much; there wasn’t really much that she needed, at least, not that she couldn’t carry on herself at all times.

“Erm, it looks like there are a lot of people here… There’s still open rooms, right?”

“Oh, that won’t be necessary,” Yuki smiled, grateful for the offer. “I’ll just take it up there myself.”

Yuki carried her suitcase upstairs and picked a room with a view. She didn’t bother unpacking. She just shoved her tiny bag into a dresser drawer. It slid in nicely.

“Well, those are the perks of being petite, I guess,” she chuckled to herself.

Stefan also went up to his room. He'd made some adjustments to his door already.

In permenant marker, he'd written some stuff on the door. At the top, it said "The Man Who Sold The World", in black. Above the fish-eyed peephole, he'd written "I'm Looking Through You". In red, in the middle, he'd written "Tommorow Never Knows" ((One of my old usernames)), and at the bottom, in blue, he'd written "Everything Must Go".

He opened the door, to be greeted with his room, and instantly hid his journal, "A Day In The Life" (named when he'd been drunk), and tacked up his music posters. On various posters, there were; David Bowie (Ziggy Stardust); David Bowie nowadays; Nicky Wire; the Manic Street Preachers; Paul McCartney; George Harrison; John Lennon; Ringo Starr; The Beatles, on different posters. He tacked up the Nicky Wire one up.

((Get all the references and I loe you.))

((Cheif_Lana, do you have floor plans?))

Stefan finished cleaning his room. It was a habit he'd had for a while, and wasn't likely to stop it. He'd placed a keyboard near his bed, in case he had any inspirations when sleeping. He paced his room for a bit, then sat back down on his bed, absent mindedly hitting notes. "G... A... high C... Middle C..." he muttered as he played them.. He got up, then started flicking through some CDs. He soon stopped, and put them back. He went out of his room, locking the door. He then went downstairs, intending to meet the other occupants of the house.

Yuki went back downstairs, taking a seat in the living room. “Oh, I’ll be expecting a package a little later,” she remarked to anyone who will listen. “If anyone hears a knock on the door and, for whatever reason, I’m not here, could you just sign for me?”

Yuki hoped that the one thing she was unable to carry would safely make it to the house.

"There's no need to be so formal; you detest being called your title, so we hold back because of... impoliteness, shall we say. Give others a similar courtesy; but don't completely drop everything ploite; I have yet to use a nickname for shorter people involving pins..." Thankfully (and before Stefan made an ass of himself), someone knocked the door.

Stefan answered it, and was greeted by Yuki's package. The person delivering it had skulked off.

((As for floorplans, no. I like to keep Webcast open for imaginations. There's any kind of room you could imagine. It's, like, supernaturally boundless, I would say. Or, nearly at least. I wish y'all could see the last Webcast. It was pretty crazy. But, lots of fun. :godot: Pheo remembers, though...anyway, enough nostalgia.))

Tyrey saw Mira walking in to the living room. "Hey, Mi. Can I call you that?"

Lana walked away, and on the way back to 'civilization' (if you wish to call it that), and saw De Paor. The hallway was narrow, and she stood face-to-face with him, as to see who would move first.

Ron sighed, rubbing his head. He had to be quicker with his responses. Or maybe he was just that boring? He wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. He finished his glass of water, placing it on the sink and wandered down the hallway, muttering softly to himself.

“Thanks, Stefan,” Yuki said gratefully, tasting the new name out on her tongue. “I’ll take it upstairs.”

Yuki took the package from Stefan, struggling to carry it, as it was rather large. “Oh, forget it, I’ll just get it out of the box,” Yuki said to herself, slightly annoyed at her incapability to perform so simple a task. “It’s easier to carry that way, anyway…”

“Can I get a box cutter in here?” she called out, requesting some help.

Mira took a knife from his pocket and threw it in a more upward direction. The knife landed on the top of the box; penetrating the cardboard, but not damaging the contents of the package. "There's your box cutter."
