Jay stopped his hoverboard next to the front door of the Prosecutor's Office and strapped it onto his back again.
Because of their authority, all Jay and Jeremy had to do to gain clearance was flash their detectives' badges (at the same time, AGAIN! <3) to the receptionist.
Jay spoke up, "Directions to Chief Prosecutor Skye's office, please."
As the receptionist spoke, the brothers were writing down the instructions so they didn't have to ask again. They began heading that way.

Carlos snorted as he passed them staring at a empty chair, mopping the floor, "she's gone home pal, only me here" he said yawning and continues to mop halfheartedly, brushing his green and black hair out of his face.

Lana looked over at the brothers who were about 7 yards away from her, and shook her head fondly.

She pressed the up button on the elevator. It was coming...coming...coming...coming...HERE! Surely the 'ding' will get their attention.

She glanced over at the cleaning man and shrugged. I don't remember hiring him...meh.

((YOU NEED TO SAY the receptionist is going home. We... er, I assumed the receptionist was still there because, according to the 'facts', she had never left.))

Following the instructions they had gotten, they saw Lana waiting at the elevator as the 'DING' sounded. They began to walk over that way, hoping to catch the elevator in time. If they did, that was great. They could ride up with her, asking questions along the way. If not, they'd simply find a staircase or another elevator to take them up to the floor the office was on. They made it to the doors. ((Are they open, or closed?))

As the two stepped out of the elevator with Lana, the brothers noted the differences in design and décor this floor had compared to the first one and all the other bland, white office floors they had seen back at the CA building they worked at. More comfortable chairs, colorful walls, much bigger and more beautiful paintings... they could even swear they saw silk curtains over some of the windows.
Jay was the first to speak. He asked, "Wow! So this is the type of environment upper management works in, huh?"
"This is indeed much nicer than the office we have to work in," Jeremy added in agreement.

((No paintings, just certifiates and awards. Things to mark achievement under her reign. But everything else is pretty on spot. It's HUGE, practically taking an entire floor, and with a beautiful wood desk in the center, with a cushy rolling chair. A leather sofa sits in front of the desk, facing it, sitting three.))

David just managed to get in on time. Poxy traffic. He'd walk in if he didn't live so damn far away from the Chief's Office. Being a senior detective mean that 50% of the time he was with Lana Skye, discussing cases and perps, having a cup of coffee in the canteen, and throwing in a couple of cheesy pick up lines.

At least the elevator music was somewhat calming. He watched the screen flicker from number to number until he'd finally reached Lana's office on the top floor. He gave himself a quick look in the brightly polished elevator doors before knocking sharply three times on the office door.

"Of course. But, no key is needed, if you'd notice the keypad on the left of the door." She walked up to it and typed in the code with four beeps, then to conclude, a final long beep to open it. The locks popped open and she pushed the door ajar, waiting for Aser to go first into the expansive room.

"Punch your sister for me, please?" Aser called after her, taking the gun rom Mike. He took the gun to one side. He found the fingerprint on the trigger, taking a photo of it. he uploaded it to a computer, and run it through the database. It came up with two matches. "Miss Starr, Officer Meekins, find if either of these two are connected to the case thus far." Aser took a small sliver of the blood, taking it for a DNA test. "Do either have you have the autopsy report?"

Now it was Lana's eyes turn to roll. "I have it, Mr. Aser. She opened the thin file she had in her hands and pulled out an official-looking paper, and smoothly handed it over to the prosecutor. "And, you two..." she motioned between Starr and Aser, "...cool it, or I'll have both of your jobs."
