All people from the ACS RP know their roles. There will be no accepted characters past our current roster, no exceptions. However, everyone is free to follow this.

This is not a fan trial, and is meant to be an Omake of ACS RP, for humor and seriousness alike.

I shall post the intro here, and everyone knows their roles (save for one or two that I've been attempting to contact)

This takes place after graduation, when the students are packing up and living their last few days on campus before moving out.

I believe that if someone has enough reason, they'll go to any heights to do what they want.

... No matter what.

The sky was dim, a mix of dark blue and black. There were no students outside the buildings. They were to enjoy their last night on campus before either moving back home, or into their own new homes for their career paths.

No students... except for two.

Two students who were running towards one of the dorm buildings... the first attempted to shut the door on the second, but failed.

Inside the building, a scream was heard, as well as blood shed. Everyone in the dorm rooms who still were there came out to find the same scene:

A girl murdered on her own bed. Her room a mess. Outside that, another girl unconscious beside the door. And right beside her, a boy, shaking her and calling out to her.

"Meghan! Meghan! Wake up! Please, wake up..." The boy knelt down beside her, but was pulled away as police officers arrived.

They arrested Meghan Elise Rose for the murder of Suzumi Aogirl.

Chris Hall ran to the detention center to meet up with her. "P-Please... let me see Meghan!"

"We can't, son. She's in questioning," said the officer. "She should be done soon."

He waited, and soon she was let out. "M-Meghan!" said Chris, trying to smile, but when he saw that Meghan was shaking and near crying, he wished the glass wasn't separating them.

"Ch-Chris... i-it's horrible..." said Meghan in a soft tone. "S-Suzumi.. she was m-murdered... a-and I happened to go by her room at the time..."

"What happened though...? I found you... unconscious..."

"I'm not s-sure... One minute I was going to see S-Suzumi... next minute I was being hauled away in a police vehicle... Ch-Chris, you have to help... I didn't d-do it..."

"I know you didn't do it, Meg!" Chris put a hand on the glass. "And I'll see to it that you're set free! ... But I don't know any defense attorneys..."

"T-That's the problem... I found out who the prosecutor is... somehow... D-Dahlia managed to secure a position as an emergency Prosecutor because all the other ones were apparently b-busy..."

"WHAT!?" Chris nearly yelled, but managed to just say in a raised voice. "A-Are you serious!?"

"I'm serious... s-she wants me convicted... b-but why?"

"I don't know.. but I've got to go search the school for clues. I swear, I'll find you innocent!" Chris ran off.

"I k-know you will..." whispered Meghan as she watched Chris run off.

Chris arrived at the school, and ran to Suzumi's room. The body had been removed, but the room was still a mess. "I have to... hey, isn't that..." He walked into the room and saw Iris looking around. "Iris!" He ran inside. "Did you hear what happened?"

((Okay, make up an excuse as to why Phoenix ain't there - since we know who the DA has to be in this case.))

"This...this is just terrible..." Iris mumbled sadly to herself. Before her stood the wrecked dorm of someone she'd considered a good friend since shortly after attending Ivy University, and right in the middle of it sat her bed, splattered with blood, her silhouette preserved with white tape...the morbid scene was making her ill. She hadn't seen Suzumi in a few days and, on a whim, decided to stop by her room for a visit. If only she'd come yesterday...
It took her a moment to notice she wasn't alone anymore. "C-Chris!" Iris snapped out of her daze and turned to the man calling her. "No...no, I only arrived a couple minutes ago... Do you know anything about this?"

He looked down. "Yeah... Suzumi... she was killed." He sighed. "Not only that..." He looked back up. "...They arrested Meghan. I found her unconscious near the door, and she was out cold. Couldn't wake her up. They said there was a chase outside into this building, but nobody knew who they were. They assume that it was Suzumi and Meghan, because they were the only ones who didn't have alibis. ... That's not even the worst part, though." He looked to the side. "All of the prosecutors were too busy to take on this case... and your sister came in and took it. I think she wants Meghan convicted."

Iris staggered as if she'd been punched in the stomach; this was just too much to take at once. "My...sister?" she choked. She wanted to sit down, but a police officer would probably show up to yell at her the moment she did for disturbing a crime scene. Dahlia... Iris hadn't heard from her twin since she left all of a sudden years ago. She'd tried to contact her, of course, over and over in fact, but for some reason, Dahlia never responded. The day her sister walked out of her life still hurt even now; she thought they were closer than that, that the two would be together forever... Why would she appear now, and what did she have against Meghan of all people?
Iris shook those memories to the back of her head and looked at Chris again. "Does Meghan have an attorney yet? I'd ask Feenie, but he's going to be at that lawyer's convention in the Bahamas with his friend Miles for the next two weeks..."

Chris shook his head. "The defense attorneys are busy too... apparently it's that time of year when there's crimes all over the place." He tilted his head a bit. "And I'd do it, too, but I'd make a fool of myself, and against Dahlia? She'd have me verbally pinned in an instant. But.. I promised her I'd find her one somehow, because I'm not letting her get convicted!" He felt one of his hands curl into a fist, and then relaxed again, as if a sudden wave of anger came as he said 'convicted.' "...I don't know what to do, honestly."

All of the defense attorneys were busy? Well, at least that meant Feenie would be sure to have no shortage of clients...not that that was much comfort at the moment.
A crazy idea suddenly came to Iris. Her sister was prosecuting, right? That meant there was one way to talk to her... Granted, she wasn't really sure what she should do at all, but she'd studied with Phoenix on more than one occassion, and with no available lawyers, anyone was better than nobody for Meghan...right?
She placed her hand on Chris' shoulder in what she hoped came off as a gesture of reassurance. "...Let's go see Meghan, okay?" she smiled faintly.

Chris nodded. "Okay..." He quickly led her out of the building, and drove her to the Detention Center.

((OOC: The only reason I'm making this go fast is because we want to get the investigation rolling quickly. After that, we'll slow down the pace.))

After they arrived, he went inside and requested he see Meghan. He sat down in the Detention Center after pulling up a chair for Iris to sit in. He then fixed his stare at the glass wall, waiting for Meghan to enter the room. He refused to look elsewhere.

An abnormally large security guard dragged Meghan in; Meghan resisted into going to the visitor's room, but quickly sat down as soon as she saw Iris and Chris on the other side of the glass.

"As you requested, Mr.Hall." The security guard quickly let a trembling Meghan go and went off.

Meghan pressed her gentle fingers against the glass and with slight somberness, sighed.

"Ch-chris...Iris...what are you doing here?" Meghan, looking sad as ever, tried as hard as she could not to cry. At least not at this moment.

"I was just in questioning before...they asked me terrible questions!"

"Meghan..." Chris tried to look at least a little happy. "I know it's hard, but I swear I'll bail you out of this... by any means necessary. And... Iris requested that we come see you again. I guess she might want to talk to you..." He looked over at Iris. "That's what you wanted, right?"

"Y-yes..." Iris shifted uncomfortably in her seat. She was going to ask Meghan a few questions about what had happened, but she figured they were probably the same 'terrible' ones the police had just finished asking her, and Meghan didn't particularly look like she wanted to go through the same thing again right now, so she searched desperately for another topic.
"I...I thought, well...I thought I should come down to see you. To see how you were doing, you know..." She fidgeted with her fingers in her lap, hoping her smile didn't look too unnatural when she looked up. "So, um...how are you doing?"

Meghan attempted to smile slightly with Chris' and Iris' efforts, but she still couldn't do it.
She looked drowsy ; she had been exhausted from all the deranged questions.

"O-oh, thank you, Iris..." Meghan wanted to hold Chris' hand at the moment and had nearly forgotten that he was on the other of the glass.

"I'm...o-okay..." Meghan smiled bluntly with great effort as she saw the look on both of their faces.

I just...I can't believe I c-could have done it. I was unconcious -" Meghan trailed off and thought to herself for a moment.

What if...I did it?

"...What if I did it? What if I...k-killed...Suzumi...?" Tears were beginning to swell up in her eyes; but Meghan quickly wiped them away hoping Chris and Iris hadn't noticed.

"I don't even know..."

"You didn't!" Chris jumped to say. "I refuse to believe you could kill anyone, Meg!" He put his hand on the glass, but then put it back on the table. "No. You didn't do it. Someone else had to have... you wouldn't have a reason to kill Suzumi. ... But do you remember what happened? You told me that one moment you were going to see her, and the next moment you were being hauled away.. does that mean... you completely forgot what happened before you were unconscious?"

"..." Meghan thought silently to herself and bit her lip; she smiled again at Chris' efforts to save her, but immediately frowned at the question.

"I...don't know anything inbetween those times. I don't..." Meghan twirled a strand of her newly dyed black hair and pondered.

"W-well...there's still a possibility that I...I did it." Meghan stuttered on the last part of the sentence,

"So... I'm going to need a defense...r-right?"

Meghan's heart sunk as Chris gave her the news.

No defense...

"O-oh..." Meghan frowned for a second but quickly recovered,

"Don't worry Chris!" Meghan tried to reassure him by smiling and with an attempt to hold his hand,

"I'm sure I'll find somebody...I'm s-sure..." Meghan had said this with low confidence, but she was still
strong. Strong for the person that she loved.

She squeezed her knees, unable to look at either of her friends in their faces. "I...I know I'm nowhere near the ideal choice, but I've looked over Feenie's law books a couple times... But more importantly, I know you didn't do this... I feel like I have to do something, for your and Suzumi's sakes."

"Awwh, guys..." Meghan was about to tear up in happiness as she saw her friends' efforts to save her.

"B-but...Iris! Your sister is prosecuting! I don't think that will end in good terms with your relationship with Dahlia..." Meghan gave Iris a look; a look of worriedness, but she still smiled at her efforts. She knew if Iris back-downed from the position of being her own defense attorney, there'd be a plausible excuse.

"Chris...I'm so happy you accepted but...what if...it's a murder case-it's too dangerous!"

"Dahlia... already won't even talk to me..." Iris sighed, perhaps a bit too loudly. She blinked and shook her head yet again. "T-that's not important right now anyway!" she quickly recovered, throwing in a soft smile. "What is important is getting you out of there."
Iris pressed her finger against her lips as she contemplated the situation. The situation... "Meghan? You said you were unconscious until your arrest, right? Do you think you could tell me everything you remember before that?"

Meghan smiled, the biggest one of them of yet, as she heard Iris' approval and Chris will to help her, even though she was against her own beloved sister.

There was still hope. Still hope...

"...the situation? Er..." Meghan immediately blanked out and thought to herself.

I told Chris that I couldn't remember anything. But...there's some fuzzy things in my head...nothing too clear...

"...I'm sorry. I have nothing. I... was unconcious and everything was knocked out of me. I know nothing that past day...except the fact I was visiting Suzumi on our last day at campus. And then it ...then it j-just happened..."

It was a long shot, but she'd really hoped Meghan could tell her something that might give her a lead. Wait... "Do you have any idea as to how you came to lose consciousness?" she pressed.

Meghan tipped her head sideways and focused as hard as she could; her hand was pressed onto her forehead as she tried to think of all the past events of that one day.

I went to go see Suzumi...and then I went blank...I must've lost my conciousness after I went to visit her... - that can't be it. There must be a reason why I went to visit her -argh...why did I go blank? Why...?

"...Iris. I'm such a b-bad client..." Meghan looked down from Iris as her concentration ended. She was ashamed that she couldn't remember anything - nothing. Not one piece of information to tell her own defense attorney. Not one.

"I...d-don't remember anything how I wound up unconcious. I was unconcious b-but...I was notified of it. I didn't know I was unconcious until they told me...I'm s-so sorry Iris...I really am..." Meghan couldn't look at her or even Chris in the eyes.
She knew that this case would be hopeless for her to win - she was definate to lose at this point.

"...Meg..." Chris wanted so badly to hug and comfort her right now, but he knew how to do so without having to break the glass. "Listen, we'll go inspect the crime scene, okay? You didn't do it, and we'll prove it by surveying what we can find at the scene. I'll get you acquitted by helping Iris, even if it gets me in trouble!"

"Awww, Chris..." Meghan flushed a bright red and finally lifted her head to see Chris' determination; it was obvious that he was 100% in this with Iris even if it meant hurting himself.

"I'm so glad...that you guys are here to h-help me...nobody has risked so much to help me before back in my home town. T-thank you so much..."

It was the perfect moment for Meghan to kiss Chris - but she had forgotten again that they were behind the glass and once Meghan attempted to, she slightly smiled and laughed. It was the first time that Meghan appeared to be content, just because of her friend's determination to help.

"Well...I think you would do the same if our situations were reversed, right?" It was rather odd that Meghan couldn't seem to remember anything at all, though; you'd think she would at least have some idea as to what happened to her. "That might be an important clue," Iris added cheerfully. "The fact that you can't remember what happened, I mean.
"Anyway, investigating the room again sounds like a good idea." Iris stood and was about to turn to leave, but something was poking around at the back of her mind. There was something important she was forgetting... What did that book say again? "Oh, right, I almost forgot! You have to fill out a request for defense while we're gone, alright?" she smiled.

Meghan smiled as Iris and Chris turned to leave her in solitary and as they turned to leave, she quickly yelled to Iris, "I'm on it! - the request form that is."
Meghan smiled candidly and hoped for the best for the two of them - afterall, her fate laid all on her two friends.

"Then let's go," said Chris. He added to Meghan, "I promise you'll be acquitted, Meg. Love you!" He quickly headed out following Iris, and took her back to campus. "Alright, let's take a look at the room." He began to walk through the outside. "It's odd how she forgot everything, but I bet she'll remember it before tomorrow."

They finally arrived back to the crime scene, and Chris looked around.

On the bed was still the white tape outlining Suzumi's body, blood staining the bed pretty well. On the floor was a knife, with blood all over the blade. The window to her room was closed but unlocked, and her various things to be packed were still scattered across the room - almost as if she was disturbed while packing. "I'm going to go ask one of the students I knew if they saw anything," he said. "Investigate anything you seem suspicious about, and make sure you take pictures of it so we can use it in court." He walked out of the room.

((Basically, have her inspect anything she wants looked at, and I'll describe it. If you need 50 or more words, the knife has fingerprints, the window has no fingerprints, the various packing tools have no fingerprints, and aren't exactly necessary for evidence.))

"R-right..." Iris responded timidly as Chris left. The scene was just as nauseating as it had been before she went to see Meghan in dentention, yet it hadn't quite sunk in that this was reality. That simple fact was all that was keeping her from breaking down right there.
Iris sighed deeply and dug through her purse. Fortunately, she did have a disposable camera; she rather enjoyed taking photos from time to time. It wasn't enough of a serious hobby to buy a high-quality camera or anything, but it was nice to be able to snap a picture when she wanted. Iris took photos of Suzumi's bed, particularly the shape of the tape outline, as well as one of the bloody knife on the floor, the window, and the door. She avoided the boxes of Suzumi's belongings, partially because she doubted there would be anything important in regards to the crime in them, but mostly because she didn't want to find something there that would bring the realization that she would never see the owner of those things again crashing down on her.

Chris came walking back in, holding a sheet of paper. "I got something from one of the other students that knew Suzumi." He let her see it. It read: I visited Suzumi only minutes before the murder happened. She was not outside her room for hours beforehand. "This might come in handy for the trial. The bad thing is, we don't have anywhere else we're allowed to go right now. The police have barred most of the area around the crime scene... oh, and they told me that the fingerprints on that knife were Meg's." His own face fell as he said the last part. "It looks like a sharp kitchen knife, though. And I got the Autopsy Report."

((OOC: Time for PW-style Evidence Submittal! XD))

Autopsy Report added to the Court Record (Victim: Suzumi Aogirl. Was murdered in her own room by a stab to the heart at 8 PM.)

Knife added to the Court Record (Knife resembling a sharp kitchen knife. Used to stab the victim.)

Student's Testimony added to the Court Record (A student's testimony that said that Suzumi was in her room prior to the murder.)

"I think this is about everything we're going to get for now," said Chris with a frown. "The trial's tomorrow at 10 AM, and we've barely got anything."

((OOC: The first investigation was meant to be short. After all, it's probably near midnight [they did investigations right away], and after the first trial day, Iris will get to investigate surrounding areas to find more evidence.))

Iris nodded as she took the autopsy report. She scanned over it quietly, then let out a deep sigh as she closed the folder. "Thank you for your help, Chris," she smiled faintly. "I guess we'll have to make what we have work for now...somehow."
She turned her head to look at herself in Suzumi's window; the moonlight gave her reflection an almost ethereal glow. "I hope I'm really up to this..." Iris mused.

Chris barely got any sleep that night in his dorm. He woke up at 8 and got down to the courthouse at 9 to see Iris waiting for him. "You're quite early," he remarked. "We have an hour before the trial starts... and I haven't seen Meghan. They're supposed to have brought her here by now... I want to make sure she's okay."

Only about half of Chris' words actually reached Iris; the rest just sort of bounced off her. Who knows what happened to them after that. "Oh...hmm?" She blinked her distant, glassy eyes. "S-sorry, I guess I'm a little out of it... I couldn't sleep last night..." she blushed. "I thought being here at the courthouse might help me focus, so I got here a while ago..."

Where's the two of them...? Ah, there they are!
A security guard had Meghan in custody, bringing her to Iris' and Chris' direction in the gloomy lobby.
He hadn't broke free of her arm yet and it was apparent that his objective was to not let her go, especially when she was a major suspect in the death of Suzumi Aogirl.

"There you are! Chris! I'm over here!" Meghan attempted to break free and hug him but the guard held her so tightly, it was nearly impossible.

Instead, the guard pulled her up in front of the two roughly and bluntly.

"Iris...Iris?!" Meghan gently tapped Iris' shoulder so she would make sure her own defense attorney wouldn't fall asleep. The guard merely scoffed at Meghan's action , and pulled her back a bit.

"Oh, both of you look so tired...I'm so sorry for the trouble...I...I..." Meghan turned pale and peered over the guard's shoulders; she looked further into the court doors which lead...to the court room.

"Erm...s-so...how was the investigation yesterday? Did you find any leads?"

Chris frowned. "We found all we could. We'll have to delve into the testimonies we find to get any more clues." He then looked to the guard. "You're not supposed to hold her while she's in the Lobby." he then described the law that actually proved it. Once the guard let Meghan go, Chris smiled at her. "Don't worry. Iris and I will help you get out of this. The truth lies somewhere, and I aim to find it."

Meghan smiled as the guard released his grasp off of her.
"...Thank you. I think he's new at his job..." Meghan laughed slightly, while still remembering the whole situation; she then frowned.
"Oh...have you found out who's testifying? I'm a bit worried on that part. I hope no one has anything personal against me..." Then Meghan just remembered.

Dahlia...

"I've been informed Dahlia's the prosecutor... Do you think..." Meghan whispered the rest of the sentence quietly,
"...That she has anything against me? "

Chris again shook his head. "We haven't been informed of who's testifying. It could be anyone... but knowing Dahlia, we're probably in for a ride." But momentarily, something came over him. He walked over and hugged her tightly. "Meg... I will protect you. I won't let anyone convict you. Least of all Dahlia Hawthorne." He broke away and stared her in the eyes. "No matter who's testifying, I will help break them down and find the truth. No matter what it is." Then he added, "I know of nobody that has a grudge against you... and I really don't see how Dahlia could, since she's been gone for who knows how long... but I feel something ominous about this whole trial..."

((OOC: MUSH MOMENT. :P But hey, you knew it had to come. He just feels he needs to protect her. *shrug*

Feeling his warm body was nearly surreal to Meghan. It was almost as if nothing else mattered; but the fact she had someone to count on made her shed a few tears of happiness.
Keeping her arms around Chris, she simply whispered back, "I know you'll win...I kn-know it..."
Still in his hold, she gently kissed him on the cheek, forgetting everything around her - even Iris.
And just as Meghan came back into reality, she noticed Iris still watching and flushed a bright red.

"G-good luck, you two." Meghan finally released her grasp on Chris and smiled as the baliff
called everyone into court.
