"Flight 274 now boarding." The airline PA said, as Mira made his way to the aircraft. He waited until it was his turn for the security checks. Once it was his turn, he took out a Bomb Squad-approved bag and put all of his tools in the bag, and handed it to the security officer. He then walked though the metal detector and made it to the aircraft, once he got his tools back.

"Flight 274 now departing." The aircraft took off. 15 minutes into the flight, as the aircraft leveled off, a man stood up on his seat. "This is a bomb threat! Everyone on the ground or I'll blow this plane up!" The people panicked, but did as they were told. Mira, while doing what he was told, adjusted a device in his mask. He saw the bomb. "This plane will blow up in 15 minutes if you do not listen to what I say!" Mira adjusted something else hidden in the mask. "15 minutes to blast 15 minutes to blast fifteen minutes to blast," the radio channel played that for the rest of the minute, as the Bomb Squad main theme started to play in Mira's head ((find it yourself, as I cannot seem to find it)). Mira moved to the bomb's location in stealth.

As soon as he arrived right by the bomb, he removed the casing. Then the voice told him to replace three parts. Mira de-soldered the first component and replaced it with another part which doesn't do anything. He re-soldered it, but again, nothing happened. k lol. Mira continued to do this with the other to components until the voice told him that it was complete. Mira then burst back into the room, shooting at the man's legs, as the man tried to detonate the bomb. Mira jumped on the man and put handcuffs on him. "You are under arrest for threatening innocent people on an aircraft. We'll take care of you once we get to our destination." And they did just that.

Mira, however, went to the campus of the academy and entered his classroom. Mira then sat at his desk, preparing the presentation for the class. As soon as he finished, he tried to take a nap, but the bell rang, and the students entered the room.

A smiling red-haired girl sat in the front row. She appeared to be a liitle younger than most of the others, and was very excited about her first day.

"That makes sense. So what made you want to come here?" Mira asked, wondering why a home schooler would want to go to this academy. "Bombs can be very dangerous and such."

"Well, yeah," The girl shifted in her seat. "But I love science. I love taking things apart and figuring out how they work. It's, um, just what I do." She bit her lip, hoping that was a good response.

"We'll go over that during the semester, but don't just rip it apart in the real world. If you did that, there could be a good chance that the bomb would detonate. Believe me, bomb detonations suck." Mira nodded, as he looked at the door to see more people come in.

"Eh, this is the best we'll get." Mira said, as people took their seats. "Welcome to the Bomb Squad Academy. Yeah, I know; bad name for a school, but a school none the less." Mira took out a remote and pushed a button, which turned a projector on. "This is a sample bomb. Can anyone tell me which part I should replace first?" Mira asked, as he put a glove-like device over his gloves, then waited for an answer.

Mira noted the hand. "Anyone else?" Mira asked, as another student raised his hand. "You there." Mira pointed to the student. The student stood up. "You replace that one first." The student said, pointing to a part of the virtual bomb. Mira removed that part. "Ok, which part should I replace it with?" Mira asked, as the student said back down.

Andy's hand shot back up, just before she realized that she didn't know the answer. Embarrassed, she sat on her hands and stared at the floor. She could feel her face becoming warmer and pinker.

"Meh." Mira said, as he replaced the correct part. The name 'Joe' and 250 points appeared on the screen. "Not bad for a first run." Mira reset the 'puzzle'. "These bombs can be diffused by examining the parts. It's up to Frank to tell you which part to replace." Mira looked at the projection. "Well this 'Joe' would make a great demolition expert."

"It's not about how many types of bombs that exist, but what parts make up the bomb. The key to bomb defusion is the replacement of similar parts. These parts either increase or decrease the voltage (current, or resistance) of the circuit, resulting in either a short-circuit or a simple lack of electricity. Of course, you could just desolder the parts off the bomb, but that might result in an accidental bomb detonation."

Some of the class stared at him expectantly. "Fine. I can admit it. I have no idea. Clip the red wire?" Nate heard the class laugh all around him. "You don't. Once you accidentally detonate a non-time bomb, then you're dead. However, the 'universal' law of accidental detonation states that you must never leave the soldering iron at a part for too long. If you do, then you will almost definitely detonate the bomb. Why would it almost always detonate the bomb?" Mira asked the class.

"Yes, but a soldering iron can work to do both things. Either way, the solder melts, allowing one to remove the component. Now, what if we leave the soldering iron on the soldered component for too long?" Mira asked, waiting for one of the other students to answer. Joe raised his hand. "Hold that thought." Mira told Joe, as he lowered his hand.
