This strange idea popped into my head, like most strange ideas do. Why not combine Indiana Jones with Phoenix Wright. Basically, Phoenix Wright is a rookie archaeologist under the teachings of Professor Mia Fey. The two are trying to unravel the mysteries behind the Fey Clan's history by finding artifacts dating back to the time of Mystic Ami Fey.

However, there are those who wish to keep the artifacts and sell them off to the museums, most notably a man simply known as Mr. Perfect. Currently, Mia and Phoenix are tracking down the last known whereabouts of the Lost Magatama, the sacre jewel worn by Ami Fey herself.

Along with her kid sister, Maya, and Phoenix's childhood friend, Larry Butz, the team set out to Tibet to locate the temple of Ami Fey, and recover the sacred treasure. Little do they know that a man from Phoenix's past is one their heels, by order of Mr. Perfect.

OOC: I guess we can officially start.

"I should have never agreed to this!" Phoenix groan and he tried desparately not to look down into the steep valley. He was hanging two hundred feet off the ground of a cliffside with nothing by a rope and a prong hammered into the side. He felt as if he were about to fant.

No! Bad idea, Phoenix! DON'T PASS OUT! With renewed strength, Phoenix gently lowered himself down the rope, praying that nothing would go wrong. Below, he knew his professor, Ms. Mia Fey, was staring up at him, aling with her younger sister, Maya. He had little choice in back out, now. He was already halfway down...which took more than fifty minutes to do. He pulled his fedora close to his head, trying to block out the few of the valley below him. It was a mistake.

His hand slipped on the rope, and Phoenix free fell down neary twenty feet before grabbing onto the rope once more. He felt his hands burn and tear from the friction of the rope, and yelped in pain. He heard Mia shouting up at him, though he wasn't sure of what she said. "I hope to God this rope..." Phoenix felt the rope jerk once....twice....and then the prong came out, sending Phoenix falling down once more, shouting "HHOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLDDDDDSSSS!!" Adrenaline took over, and Phoenix reached his waiste and pulled out his whip. With little time to spare, he lashed out at an outcrop, snagging the edge with his whip and jerking him to a stop. He glanced down...seeing he was nearly fourty feet from ground level. "Huh...." he panted, looking up at his hold. "...I'm taking the elevator next time."

Twenty minutes later, he was on ground level, kissing the soil like a lost friend. Mia knelt beside him, touching him on the shoulder. "Phoenix, are you alright?"

Phoenix grinned, "More than you think," he said, then fell over and fanted.

Maya rolled her eyes. "So much for that. And here I thought he'd gotten over his fear of heights." She looked around. "Well, since we're here, where are we supposed to go?" she asked Mia.

Mia rubbed her chin for a moment, getting her bearings for the first time. Her focus was one making sure Phoenix didn't get hurt on his climb down. She didn't consider his fear of heights. "We've just decended into Medium Valley," she said and pointed north. "If you remember, Maya, That way lead's to Kurain Village, our hometown. Now, according to our folklore, Mystic Ami had left clues of her tomb's whereabouts with her daughters, who then passed them on to their daughters, and so forth. Now, remember the scroll that was hanging on the wall in the manor, Maya?" He pulled out an old photo of the scroll, laying upon a flat rock. "Now, from the looks of it, it simply says Kurain in the old kanjee, right? However..." she smiled and flipped it over. "If you read it upside down, you get an entire different kanjee, which tells the location of the burial site ofone of the first Feys of the Main Family to come to America. With her, she carried a clue of Ami Fey's Tomb. We find the buried keep, we find the first clue to Mystic Ami."

Mia shook her head. "It's not so simple," she replied. "The kanjee points out to the right direction to go. The only problem we've got...is where to start from." She smiled. "We'll that's were Phoenix comes in," she said, nodding over at the unconscious young man. "He's one of my best students when it comes to solving these times of problems. The thing is, the Kanjee's a riddle, one where you have directions, but no starting point. Phoenix should be able to help us with that."

A snort diverted Mia attention, and Phoenix came to from his episode. "Huh? What I miss?"

Mia smiled and beconed him over. "I was just telling Maya here how good you are with riddles..." Phoenix eyed his mentor, confused by what she said.

"I am?" he asked, then realized what she mean. "Oh, right! The scroll! The starting point, right! Well, let's take a look." He pulled the photograph over to him, studying the kanjees. Moments passed by while Phoenix pondered. Then, he slapped his khakis. "Right! That's where we start!"

"Where," Mia asked anctiously.

"'From the Peak of the Crest, travel across the smile till the teeth laid bear points the way.' Peak of the crest...not crest but crescent, like the moon at last quarter. A smile....the valley is like a huge crescent. We head southeast toward the starting point!"

It took nearly twenty minutes for the three to make it to the other end of the valley, the "Peak of the Crest" as Phoenix mentioned. Phoenix wiped the sweat from his brown, adjusting his fedora. "Okay, now we just stay close to the was on the outer curve, and follow it until we find the 'teeth' that was mentioned." He scratched his chin, pondering. "Now, I'm still not too sure what the teeth are, it could be a rock formation, or even a cave entrance with jagged slatactites and mites. Just keep your eyes open and we should be able to find them." He felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up, and felt like there was someone here, watching them. "Er....lets get moving."

Mia looked around the valley. Her eyes finally landed back on Phoenix, who seemed rather unconfortable, and Maya, Who was being uncharacterisically silent. She decided not to let this hamper their mission and smiled encouragingly. "Well, let's start this way. We still have a couple hours until sundown." She started off along the right edge of the crescent

Maya looked around, trying to find these "teeth" the riddle mentioned. A rock formation, a cave with stalactites? Or maybe just something white and shiny...? She could see nothing of the sort. As they continued, a question popped into Maya's head. "So, how did we know where the 'peak' was?"

"Okay, let's think of it this way." Mia tried to think of a quick way to explain it to Maya. "The valley is shaped like a banana. Now, according to the scroll, We start at the peak of the crest. Meaning we start at the top of the crest. The problem was, what crest? Phoenix deduced that the Crest could only be the southeast potion of the valley, or the top of the banana. See, a banana is the same shape as a waxing moon before first quarter or a waning last quarter moon. Peak of the Crest was refering to the top of the crescent, the name of the shape of a pre-first or post-last quarter moon." Mia stopped. "Does that make sense even?"

"Well," Phoenix began. "There was a portion I failed to mention about the scroll. The last kanjee to be exact. Now, as we know, the moon travels through its quarters once a month, aproximately. Now, the last quarter would be near the end of the month, say close to the 21st or so. According to the kanjee, this scroll was created on the 23rd of the second month. Keeping that in mind, I'd assume the crescend moon is the last quarter moon, making the peak's location south east as I said." He paused a moment, getting a strange vibe from somewhere. His Glanced up along the mountainside, thinking his saw something shining.

"Um...let's continued on, shall we?"

"I don't think what's following us is dead," Phoenix voice his concern, glancing at where he saw a glimmer, like light reflecting off of metal. "Let's continue on, chief. We're almost at the center point. Perhaps that's where we'll find the teeth." He knew someone had followed them to this location, but who?

Mia shrugged. "Well, let's just keep going then. I'm sure we'll find the teeth." Mia looked over at where the other two kept looking. She still didn't see anything too interesting. She turned back around. If the other two thought they were being followed, then eventually the follower would mess up and show themselves. "Alright. Let's go." And Mia started off in the general direction they were to be headed.

Phoenix kept his hand close to the whip strapped to his belt. If anthing were to jump out at them, he'd be ready. At least....that what he kept telling himself. It was another fifteen minutes of traveling when Phoenix spotted an outcrop ahead. Once they were close enough and noticed stalatites hanging from the outcrop, almost like.

"Hey Chief, Maya!" he shouted, smiling. "I think we've found the teeth." He pointed up at the outcrop. "The teeth laid bear." His smiled faded however, when he notice that there was no cave entrance under the outcrop. "Huh? This can't be right. If these are the teeth laid bear," he step closer to the stalagtites. "Then where is the...GAAAHHHH!!!!" The ground below him gave way and Phoenix vanished into the hole, land with a thud on soft ground.

"Nick! NICK! CAN YOU HEAR ME!?" Maya shouted at the hole as loud as she could. She grinned at Mia. "Let's go!" And with that, she jumped into the hole. "WAAAAH-" THUD! She had landed right on her backside. "Oww..."

"PHOENIX! MAYA!!!" Mia ran over to the place where Nick had fallen in. "PHOENIX!!!! MAYA!!!! Are you alright?!?!?!?!?" She looked into the hole Phoenix had fallen into. "Well, I knew you'd be a lot of help, but if it's going to hurt, you don't have to be so helpful." She looked at the cave, then down at Phoenix, then back at the cave. "What is going on here anyway?"

"HEY SIS!" Maya yelled, hopefully so Mia could hear. "WE FOUND THE ENTRANCE! GET DOWN HERE, YOU'RE THE ONE WITH THE FLASHLIGHT!" Of course Maya had one too, but had forgotten to put batteries in it.

Phoenix groan as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Ugh. Looks like the teeth laid bear will point the way was taken too literally. Ack!" Maya fell right on top of him, knock the breath out for a second. He gathered himself, and stood up, helping Maya up as well. He glanced around, letting his eyes adjust to the darkness, and found they were both in a long passage way, littered with stone monuments, stones of the dead, more than likely. "Chief, I think we've found the way! Come one down, I'll catch you!"

Mia looked around. "Okay." She was curious about this hole. The cave was right in front of her, yet this hole was in the way. It seemed to her that there should be a way into the cave from the front. She held onto her backpack, closed her eyes and said, "Here I come!" Mia jumped in.

Pheonix readied himself, watching as Mia lept into the hole, and stretch out his arms. Don't worry, Chief, he thought. He caught her in his arms, however the impact threw him backward and he end up on his back once more. He grimmaced in pain, fighting back the tears in his eyes. "You okay, chief?!" he asked through gritted teeth.

Mia jumped up off of Phoenix, offering her hand to him to get up. "Only if you are. Because if you aren't, we have a problem." Mia reached with her other hand to the place in her bag where she kept the flashlight. Turning it on, she saw Maya standing around. "You're all right too Maya, right? What happened to your flashlight?"

"I forgot the battery," she admitted. "But I still have the flashlight!" Maya added. She could see the skepticism on Mia's face. "What!? It could be useful! I could bash Nick over the head with it." And you never know when Nick needs a good head-bashing.

Mia said looking around the cavern they were now in. "I never would have guessed this was down here. This looks like a crypt. Although I think these are our 'teeth' and they definitely point down this passage." She concluded "What do you guys think?"

W-Why are you bashing me?! Phoenix thought to himself about Maya's reply on the flashlight. Getting his mind back on track, he glanced at the figure heads. "Hm, you're probably right, Chief. This could the the teeth mention in the scroll. Anyway, we should continue onward and see where this heads." Just then, he remember something, and broke into a cold sweat. "Ah! I forgot to tell Larry to wait by the van! I'm sure that idiots done wonder off somewhere!"

From the hole's entry, Larry Butz looked down at the trio if heroes and scoffed. There was a hand on his hip. Cocking an eyebrow, the man laughed a bit. " I mean, it looks like you guys are in a pretty sticky situation down there. That's while I was following you the whole time!" Obviously not listening to the three talk as he followed, Larry grinned. "But don't worry, guys! I'm coming down to save you!" Leaping down, Larry fell on his rear.
"Aww, man, that hurt...But don't worry! I'm here to save you!" Looking up at the entrance, Larry laughed. Sheepishly. "Ooh... never mind. Tell me this is a part of your brilliant plan, Nicky?" the man asked.

Phoenix groan, feeling the cold sweat running down his face. "Larry, you reeaaaally needed to stay with the van. In case something DID happen, YOU were the only one who could go for help!" He sighed, pulling off his fedora and smoothing out his spikes. "But I guess it doesn't matter right now...wait!" He pointed an accusing finger at Larry. "It was you?! It was you up on that cliff side I saw!?" For the love of....Phoenix was ready to strangle the loon. "Never mind! Let's just get going!" He tugged the fedora down on his head roughly and lead the wa down the path.
